They offer minimal support and help with the product they sell, seems to me they pretty much take your money and run! You can’t even call and get through to their technical support people through their automated command prompts it will automatically hang up on you to speak to anyone you need to select option for purchasing! All I wanted was information on an adjustment procedure for the motor an was referred to the “technical support” paperwork that’s provided online and in the purchase email which has nothing for my concern! I would not recommend this company

Had to wait 12 weeks for the motor, due to pandemic. I missed all of the 2020 boating season. 1st time installing a motor, wished I had taken more pictures during the disassembly process. Got the boat back together and running this year and have had no issues. I have recommended MABBCO to several friends.

The site has every type engine and parts you need. It just wasnt right in my face that the short block I ordered would take 60 to 90 days. However, if the block is as good as advertised, it will be worth the wait.

Its been a few years since I bought a Chevy 350 short block from them and decided I should finally post my review. When I got the engine in the truck it a slapping/tapping noise out of the gate. MABBCO was not helpful at all and WILL make you jump through hoops before they simply clear themselves of any wrongdoing and make you eat hundreds or thousands of dollars yourself. We finally miced the bores and found two of them WAY out of round allowing the pistons to rock. Like others, the product was dirty, sloppy and broken. Im completely amazed they are still in business, must be those poor smucks buying from them on the internet then getting shafted, the shop will not stand behind their work. There are much better engine builders in tyler than these people.

After about 6 months from placing my order I was sent a rusted out over bored useless motor. When I called to het issue fixed they sent me a warranty card which I filled out and they wanted me to pay shipping costs of about $1400 in addition to the $3200 I had already paid for a rebuilt motor which was received late, full of rust and did not look professional or done correctly.I asked them to choose any 3rd party company in St Lucie County, FL and they refused and said only they will inspect it and I had to pay to ship it back to Texas… they are the same people who advise me it was inspected like all their products before shipping, why would I pay shipping of $700 each way for the same people to inspect what they claim was already inspected. They have sone nothing to fix the issue and it’s being disputed as they will not take useless broken rusted out motor back and provide me a refund.I have a full report with all issues from Napa Auto parts a nationwide company that is reputable who advised the motor was beyond repair as the block and other components were unusable.DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AS THEY LURE YOU IN WITH ATTRACTIVE PRICES THEN THEY PAWN OFF MOTORS THAT WILL NOT RUN OR BREAK SHORTLY AFTER USE.PAY EXTRA AND GO WITH A HONEST GOOD COMPANY

Wanted to order an motor but had some specific questions about the blocks they were using. The representative had no interest in my questions. He said I would have to pay $200 just to answer my questions before ordering. He made it clear they were busy and insinuated they really didnt need my business. Not impressed at all.

I contacted them wanting to purchase an engine and obviously they were to busy to get back with me. Ater contacting I read reviews and theyre went any good reviews. So I purchased elsewhere. My new engine will arrive in a few days.

Ordered a 283 chevy crate motor was told 8 weeks that turned into 6 months regardless I understand cause of the pandemic things are taking longer than usual installed the motor not only to find the crankshaft pulley bolt was stripped after reaching out to tech with no help decided to fix on my own after getting the engine running and a huge ticking sounds reached out again with no they didnt set lifter bore correctly and ate the lifter and cam I will take money elsewhere these people not only dont know what there doing are no help either and give you a bunch of run arounds and excuses

Mabbco doesnt deserve 1 star. austin is by far the worst in customer service i have ever had to deal with in the industry. i still have a motor down there waitng for a repair that they messed up on. my invoice date was on 4-7-21. todays date is 8-6-21. thats 120 days and they are saying maybe another month again. i highly suggest you do not do busisness with these people.

Bought 351W. Somebody at MABBCO didn’t check lifter bore before it was shipped. Caught THEIR mistake before putting motor in. Filled out 4 pages of warranty claim forms and submitted. Was told that it would be a couple of days until someone in tech got back to me with a decision. Austin in customer service hung up on me twice. He did give me the “have a good day sir” before disconnecting our call. He also refused to provide me with supervisor contact info. Said “I am the supervisor”.I really wish I had read reviews before wasting money with a slipshod company and its unprofessional employees. They’re really nice until there’s an issue. After that, lawyer up, have a good day sir.I’ll update this review as my experience unfolds.

Just want to start off by saying I’m very happy with my purchase from Mabbco motors. Needed to buy a complete marine long block 4.3L and they had the best price around. Turnaround time was a little bit over two weeks and I got my long block in very good shape and started swapping everything over. Primed the oil system like they recommended put it in the boat and it fired right up! Does not leak or burn any oil. Oil pressure is perfect, compression is perfect across the board. I took it out for a test run on the water yesterday, and it ran like a dream! Great engine at a great value!

Purchased a 4 bolt main 454 bigblock and it arrived on a pallet that looks like a 4 year old packed it and the long block arrived sitting directly on the main caps with no protection at all leaking oil all over the ground from assembly.. had to re torque the bottom end of the long block to spec due to loose mains and rods installed the motor and the POS lasted less than 15 miles before it locked up.. mabbco does not stand behind there warranty and expect you to yank the motor and send it back on your dime before they will even decide if they will warranty the junk or not.. i dont recommend this place at all

Had to revise my last review (it was originally positive). Now Im negative on Maabco - I wish I would have read the other reviews before purchasing from these guys. Heres why: if your motor has a problem, then you are up the creek. Although warranted, Maabco wants you to take the motor out of your car, ship it back to Texas (at your own expense) and they will decide if they will make the needed fixes.In my case, Maabco sent me a motor with defective valve guides. I installed and fired up the motor and it was clear that one of the cylinders did not have compression. A local machine shop took the head off and said this was an easily avoidable but disastrous mistake - the engine builder did not leave enough clearance in the valve guide. This caused the rod to seize and bend.I asked Maabco to simply CALL ME on the phone multiple times to resolve. They hid behind email and provided potential solutions that were very costly and not realistic for my situation. Really, you want me to ship the motor back to you after I installed it in my car and mated it to my transmission? That would take hours upon hours. I ended up having to pay 1,500 to other vendors just to get my motor running. SAD!

Have been looking at there site and am looking to buy engine. Looks like at good deal but wonder about warrentee is only 90 day. Understand that most problems come up within that time frame but dont see any provision for getting better warrentee. Hope you can. Looks good so far.

Ok so here we go. I have a dodge Dakota with the 5.9 MAGNUM in it. I had to put this in caps because it’s relevant. So here’s the deal I bought an engine rebuild for the magnum engine. After something like 2 weeks late my pistons finally show up, I take them to the machine shop to have them pressed on the rods and immediately the machine shop tells me they are the wrong pistons. After doing my own research they are indeed the wrong pistons they are the early pistons for a non magnum engine. Which WILL change compression ratio horsepower toque curve etc ( also confirmed by both my machine shop and piston mfg) so I call man do about this and they tell me “well that’s the pistons we use in our rebuilds” I inform them they are the wrong pistons and I would like them to send me the CORRECT pistons that I paid for ya know since it SPECIFICALLY asked me for the year of the vehicle I assumed I would be getting the correct parts. That was MY mistake. So I get some fella named Austin on the phone figured we could come to a middle ground and all he kept telling me was well those are the pistons we use for our rebuilds. So I ask him “okay so every magnum engine you are rebuilding using the wrong parts?” He again informed me they were NOT the wrong parts even after I confirmed with the manufacturer they were indeed the wrong part. All I wanted them to do was send me the correct pistons for the magnum engine that he says they don’t offer. I asked to speak to a manager or owner and Austin tells me well sorry I’m as close as you’re gonna get so obviously not getting anywhere with this dude and his “correct” pistons I told him look man I’m gonna leave a bad review on this and how’s this champ handle the situation oh you know the only responsible way there is and he hangs up on me and still never got the correct pistons I paid for. Kudos to you Austin for being such a stand up representative for your company!!!

Junk. Cam went flat in less than 8000 miles and flattened the liftersAbsolutely no effort to make it right. Wrote a $1700.00 check today to fix it. I wouldnt buy a weedeater engine from them.

Run away. As fast as you can. Sold and shipped a broken engine, and then said I broke it, but we drove it about 15 miles. All the coolant was in the oil pan.For the life of me, I cant figure out how these folks arent in jail. They are really and truly THAT BAD.

Horrible shady work. Filthy assembly practices. Ordered a short block and recieved exactly what I paid for. A cheap improperly assembled engine. They did not hot tank the engine ever. Machining debris in oil passages scuffed pistons all the bearings had to be replaced new rings honing debris everywhere. Ring gap was to large different size bearings on every other journal camshaft was dry no assembly lube used. One of the lobes on camshaft was chipped. They painted over the old gasket for the front cover. List goes on and on. Cost me the same amount I bought engine for to have it redone. It would of shredded itself if I would of started it. No way did they send a useable short block. Main cap bolts They did however send me a rebuildable core. BUT THATS ABOUT IT. They told me today to send it back to them at my expense. I already paid shipping. I think it should be on them not me. Or just pay me for the rebuild.

Thanks for wasting 4 months of my time for not having a motor and still no word on it. Sounds like Austin has been working there for 10 years and is still waiting on his motor. Terrible customer service and terrible place to get motors, DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE AT ALL.

MABBCO Motors came in at “clutch”...Big help with the build of my Chevy 3.1L V6 Short Block...Everything went well on the install along with a host of other new and remanufactured parts to complete the build...The strength and health has been restored...The short block looked great on delivery and upon inspection...I couldn’t be any more excited to have a resourceful business to be able to meet the needs and expectations of the demand...Although, the COVID restrictions and shelter-in-place affected the time line of the shops typical output on an order...There was no excuses or hold up from the time frame that was given to me...It was in the range that I was told due to the fact...Great customer service...The times that I was “just checking” and soon after I was notified of my tracking information of the shipment...I see a coordinated staff that works to fulfill the customer’s order, while inching itself higher on the scale of entrepreneurship...Way to go !! 😃👍🏼

Sorry customer service unbelievable how they talk to there customers. Austin is very childish and should be fired... Update went to ATK performance got my 2 engines bought and picking them up today. No 3 months waiting . Excellent customer service and professional. Dont waste your time and money with Mabbco motors. They lost me as a returning customer and future engines.

First off never deal with this company again, I bought a motor from them and upon delivery the motor was not package correctly, then after inspecting the motor it has debris all over inside and the lifters were broken, and among other things, when i called them about this that this is not what I expected as a consumer they start pulling the tricky ricky of their warranty that basically states that it is not their fault and that if I want to return the motor to them i have to pay for my own shipping which is ridiculous. Then they stated to go after the shipping company which they claimed I paid for which obviously i did not, because their website states FREE SHIPPING, nothing in the contract stated that customer pays for shipping charges. Unethical people, even though you return the motor to them they still want you to pay for shipping it back to you, at one point it seems all a scam, as they will just send you motors that doesnt even seem put on correctly, i guess thats how you know they need the money more than anything, not even sure how this company is still in business. Please do yourself a favor and stay away. Not worth it, end up taking my original motor to my local machine shop which they done way better job, great example of you get what you paid for.

I bought a head(4.0 for a Jeep Grand Cherokee) from them with a recommendation from a family member and a friend. But this was a giant mistake. I bought this right before Christmas which was my first mistake. Because they arent actually at work around that time and wont get to your order until weeks later. It finally arrived in mid January. Installed it on my Jeep and noticed there was coolant leaking into the motor.It cant be the new head right? It was. We pulled the cover off to check the top of the head. Yep theres a crack and when its running its fairly large. Leaks a fair amount of coolant that actually magnafluxing the head would have discovered(they claim they do it but obviously they didnt on here).I called them and talked to one of the managers. He told me to give them a chance and fill out the warranty form which I did. They sent me a return form last week telling them to ship it back on my dime. Called them and asked if I had it right that I had to pay for shipping and if they could help me out with that. All the manager said to me when I asked him those questions was you can send it back if you want. Keep in mind Ive done nothing wrong. Their product was cracked probably before they even worked on it. Its a freeze crack that they should have detected. Dont use them.Long story short. Dont use them. Bad products and bad customer service.

Ordered a 4.0l Jeep straight six after I was cheated by a local mechanic with my original engine. Long story short. . .I should have rebuilt the engine myself because I only got my block, crankshaft, and the old cam back. When I ordered from Mabbco on their national short block program I was sceptical because of being burned by previous mechanic. The rebuilt Engine arrived fast, and in great condition, minus the Crankshaft Main Cap Girdle, and oil filter adaptor. I now have 700 of 4000 mile before going to synthetic oil. No issues with the engine so far.

Good thing I was only looking for a good block and pistons because I got that...however the journals were dinged up bad on the crank....

Arrogant and unprofessional. Placed my order online in August for $2500. Credit card was immediately charged. Called month later regarding the status of my order. I was told someone had to call me to confirm 3 month lead time for delivery. Because I never responded my order was never even considered for fulfillment, yet my phone number is on the invoice. This so-called company did not bother to keep my money without any responsibility for the ordered item. After I voiced my complaint to customer service representative, he quickly told me I will receive a refund then hung up the phone. I thought the phone call was accidentally interrupted and I called again to be intentionally hung up on. You should expect this customer service when buying from this company.

You want a good engine rebuild? This isnt it. Keep looking.

We should have read the reviews. The shop my boat is at bought a motor for me from here (they had bought a few from here over the years with zero issue) instead of using their main supplier because they were closed due to covid-19. The owner of the shop personally got ahold of me to let me know that the motor they had ordered was sent back to MABBCO because it was a mess. Apparently there were alot of issues. I am glad that they took these steps and sent the engine back. MABBCO now will not return phone calls or emails. The owner of my shop has already purchased out of their pocket another engine to replace the one sent from MABBCO. I suspect MABBCO will fight this issue. Its very poor business practice on their part. I truly appreciate the shop that my boat is at and their willingness to make this right even when you guys will not. I came here to write this review because of this. Do the right thing and refund them their money. I am sure alot of people will be reviewing you in the days to come with the same issue. Good luck staying in business while screwing over customers who are your backbone!

Do not use this company for any of your engine needs, they have no professionalism and no understanding of a timeline or value of a commitment they make. I ordered a 360 magnum 4 months ago and was told it would be a two to three month lead time. I had to constantly call for updates and when I was told my engine would be shipping and paid the remaining balance I was later told when I called for tracking it was a mistake and my engine was not ready . I was then promised another date which was not met. When I asked Austin if I could speak with a manager I was told Im what you get. I could have waited for the engine but the total lack of respect and professionalism is what made me decide to cancel my order and go elsewhere. Do not use Mabbco Motors for any needs, they should not be in business the way they treat customers. I pulled an engine from a wrecked car locally and got it rebuilt in a week for less money and they were going to take 6 moths, Pathetic!

I placed an order with them, and picked up a few weeks later as they were backed up. I’d say that was the only downside. It was a 2.2 for an s10. When I arrived at the shop for pickup they were nice enough to take off a few things from the core then I didn’t do myself. So that was definitely appreciated. Got a full gasket kit I was not expecting either so was able to return the one I had already bought and saved a chunk of money. So far I have 11,000 miles on the motor since November of 2019. The engine has held up through the warranty period and still no issues it’s i believe 1 year or 10k miles. Maybe 12k can’t remember. I know you can buy the long block else where for a few hundred more and get a better warranty but the engine before this went over 300k miles so I’m not that concerned about the warranty. Either way would definitely recommend to anyone and would shop there again.

I took my marine heads for service. The heads were not serviced as requested.and they lost parts and did not make it right. I took them to a competitor and got the service I needed the first time on time. I wont be doing business there again.

Do not use them. I ordered a engine greater than 10 weeks ago. They were suppose to send engine 10/27. I have been speaking with the to check on it the whole way. Called numerical times they told me they were working on it . I called 2 weeks before the oct the 27 th, they told me the engine was ready and it was supposed to ship out the 27th. 11/4 we still have not received the engine. I called and the guy couldn’t tell me exactly why but That they were going to have to rebuild a new engine and it would take 2 more weeks. I repeatedly asked what happened and was not given a answer . There was no one to even speak with about it . The whole situation sucks .

Great price! Truck just got done with the 500 mile inspection and and the motor is running great so far. Reasonable delay in shipping but they kept me up to date on that.

Very poor machine work bought a ford 400 short block off of them disassembled. as I did not trust them and wanted every thing double check by a local machine shop that I did trust before I assymbled the engine.this is the work I orderd from mabbco ford 400 bored 50 over I sent them my piston so the bore would be right for my piston they still messed that up more on that in a minute align hone and line bore the block reconditioned factory rods and a reconditioned crank.I am glad I took my block rods and crank to a local machine shop to be double checked before assembly the block and rods turned out to be a mess were to start. The main journals were okay and in spec but the caps were bad some were more than 3 thousands or more off from each other the crank would never set properly like that.The cylander bores were done sloppy and inconsistently most were over 2 thousands from other points in the bore and were reading all over the place. The block was not properly align honed or line bored properly.the rods 5 were good 3 were bad and read all over the place when put on the gauge they were not reconditioned when the caps on the rods were removed they still show ford factory machine marks and the rods were dirty I dont think they even took them appart.The only thing they did right was the crank so my $1500 bought me a good crank what a joke this place is Im suprised no one has sued them in to oblivion yet luckily my competent local machine shop said the block and rods are salvageable and can fix all of mabbco crapy work. lesson leard dont buy from mabbco no matter how cheep the price or how bad you need that engine or you cant find the engine any were else my case they will screw you buy from a reputable shop it will probly cost more but will be cheaper in the end trust me.

Very experienced engine builders. This is a large machine shop that builds replacement engines for sale to mechanics. They do not offer any mechanical services.They can build pretty much any engine you want any way you want. I got a stock replacement straight 6 but while I was there someone was ordering a street/ strip 4 bolt small Chevy. They had various big blocks they were working on as well.My only criticism is this, they take a lot longer than they say. They told me it would be 2 to 3 weeks but it was 6 weeks. I wouldnt have minded if they would have just said 4 to 6 weeks but as I expected 2 weeks, 6 weeks was kind of annoying.

This company charged me a restocking fee right after I made a order and had to cancel. So I told them to go ahead with the order and they redid my bill and told me I owed more than the original quote. The difference of the quote was the same amount of the restocking fee which didnt make sense because I told them to proceed with the order, therefore nothing needs to be restocked. I canceled my order after paying $1000 down, they took $425. I should have read the reviews, they have so many bad reviews not to do business with them. So many complaints with the BBB. Beware!!!

Never again. I wouldnt use these people if you paid me.

I got a short block from here. my car was having body work done when short block arrived. I finely get the motor it in the car when doing the brake in a connecting rod bearing goes out. so i call mabbco they say your 90 day warranty was up. Ok fine my bad. so i take the crank, block, pistons all over to victory machine in Campbell and as they were redoing my short block they inform me that my connecting rods were out of round. this company will take your money and give you poor quality machine work. when some one ask me were did i get my short block i will be sure to never recommend mabbco motors. poor quality, poor customer service, highly recommend you go elsewhere for your motor work to be done.

Got a Ford 300 I6 cylinder head. Did EXTENSIVE research to find the best product for the lowest price and within a reasonable time. I got just that. The only hitch was I was told I would have it in 4 weeks (all other vendors were 6 weeks), but due to illnesses and weather I got it in 6 weeks. No big deal. Definitely the best price, AND there was no core charge.

Im looking forward to a summer full of water skiing and boat rides. Ill have to wait another summer since the motor we bought from Mabbco cant be installed because of defective crank supports. You would think that would be easy to resolve with any supplier, not Mabbco, they blamed us and now we have to buy another.

Back in 2014 had my engine rebuilt by them, it was a horrible experience, first they gave me the wrong year engine, then they just rebuilt mine and tightened the main bearings so tight the crank wouldnt turn, then taking it back a third time because the timing chain cover didnt fit cause they used the wrong timing set. Hopefully they have gotten better, I would just go somewhere else though, it didnt really save me any money over taking it to a quality shop.

If you buy something, and pay a lot of money for it, it should work. Instead we got something that couldnt even be installed. Then when we called they accused us of causing the problem.

We got a replacement motor from Mabbco, very poor quality and when we asked them to fix it they said it was our fault and we had modified it. We did nothing of the sort, they wouldnt take responsibilty for their mistake. We now have to buy another one. Bad company with bad products and lousy customer service. Would NOT recommend using their products!

MABBCO personnel were easy to work with and answered all of my questions before and after purchase. Not to mention MABBCO offered the best price and delivered a quality product. If Im ever in the motor market again, MABBCO will definitely be the first place I look!

If youre looking for a good rebuilt motor, dont go here. If theres a problem theyll blame you. Now, like us, youll be out a couple of thousand bucks and still need a new motor. Crooks. Im telling everyone I know.

Dealing with some of the people can be rather frustrating. I was told this date and that date about when it would be done, when it’d Be shipped. And at one point, one person asked if I’d rather just have my money refunded after weeks of waiting. So, if you can get past the pain of dealing with some of those people, the product itself came as ordered and in good condition. It was a short block so I finished the rebuild myself and the 4.7 liter dodge engine has been running perfect since June. I would recommend getting And engine from them. It really was the best price for what you got.

If engine re-builders were t-shirts, these guys are the super comfortable, soft, t-shirts you want to wear all the time and there was a coupon so you got two for the price of one. Verry unhappy. I bought i crate motor from them. It is a 4.9 300. I am not local to this company . I am in Oklahoma. I was told 3 weeks . Took almost 3 months. I was very respectful during all this. When i finally got it looked great. Did the break in procedure. Was not getting tye power it should. And was getting a ticking sound from it when on the highway. So did a compression test . And 3 cylinder were not doing good at all. So i had to pull the head. Went to a local shop to find out that they did not resurface it . And the seats were not replaced. The valves were beating into the head. I caught that just in time . Well had all that fixed. put that back on . The ticking got worse. Ok maybe just a bad lifter. So i replaced all the lifters. Still not right .Now i am out of money and had to find a new daily driver. Until i find out if it is a bad cam or warped head. I dont have 6000 miles on this motor. Very disappointed! And they are only trying to give me a run around with emails. Wont speak to me.

Have bought 2 motors from here both excellent. One ford 390 and one dodge 318. Both arrived in good shape and both are running great with no issues. Highly recommended!

Engine arrived with a broken main cap bolt. Filled out a warranty claim form, still have not heard anything from them a week later. I had to have the bolt extracted from the block, and new main cap bolts installed. The repair cost almost as much as the engine!!

Great client support, honest vendor. After installing the marine engine I noticed a lifter noise and contacted them regardless the issue and they helped me troubleshoot it and sold me the needed parts. The engine is running strong, great quality work.

They are quick but two motors I bought both had problems after about 6 months. Found used lifters in so called all new parts engine. Will never buy anything from them again!!! I have pictures of lifters will send them to you if requested by anyone who wants to see.

Isnt a rebuilt motor supposed to make your boat work bettter? If it doesnt wouldnt you expect resolution? Not from Mabbco, stripped out main journals, dirtly heads and mating surfaces are our problem, not theirs. A really bad experience not only with the product, even more so with the customer service.

Bottom Line: DON’T BUY A MABBCO MOTOR.We’ve been really looking forwarding to tubing with the family on the lake this summer. The boat was in need of a new motor, and our family chose a remanufactured engine from Mabbco. Our uncle, with decades of experience in all things internal combustion, received it and found the block wasn’t completely clean, old gasket residue remained, and several stripped bolts.. I’m a mechanical engineer and know his work, experience, and integrity. If he says it’s junk, it is junk. Mabbco would not honor their warranty and refused to take back the product. Now we’re stuck with a bad motor, out the money, and might not have the boat running for the summer.

How do you say, Thoroughly Satisfied. Our premium Long block purchase turned out to be an exceptional choice. The spin testing was evident in its timing and valve train adjustment. We are currently 150 miles into the 500 mile break-in and the thing is purring like a kitten. The rings are seating up very nicely and the power curve is increasing daily. BEST CHOICE ON THE WEB

MaryI purchased a reman engine from these people and the main bearing bolts were stripped out and not torqued. They blamed me and I now have an un useable engine and will need to buy from another supplier.

Had to bring new remanufactured engine to mechanic to figure out what problem was with it not running right come to find out needs new valves so now I have to pay mechanic for time and parts pretty sad,really not worth it in the end buying from these guys

They seemed like they were a bit backed up when I ordered so it took a while to receive my engine. However, what they delivered looks like a solid engine for a reasonable price.

They were great to work with they made the special concessions that I asked for I have over 100 hours on them and running great

Worst customer service experience i have dealt with in my life. There strategy is to call around 9 at night and wanting to speak to my mechanic when they know damn well there isnt any mechanic shop open at those hours. I bought a 350 long block that started to make a loud knocking sound just after an two hours of usage. They want every problem to be fixed over the phone with no actions to take place. Apparently NOTHING IS THEIR FAULT! If you read most of the other reviews everyone has similar problems. What does that tell you about this company? There shipping was way past the expected arrival and I AM LOCALLY IN TEXAS AS WELL. They tell me to tell my mechanic to fix this and then fix that. And who do they expect to pay for that labor? NOT THEM! Just save your TIME, MONEY, AND HEADACHES for something else.

WARNING MABBCO COMPANY IS NOT A GOOD COMPANY TO DEAL WITH PERIODI purchased a Chevy 305 marine motor for a customers boat from mabbco and the motor was completely unusable in the condition i received it in i did some repairs to the severely rusted crankshaft and replaced the rocker arm studs that were pulling out of cylinder heads didnt realize after performing the work there were even more serious problems THE CYLINDER BLOCK WAS ALSO WARPED and 7 of the valve lifters were jammed into engine block and would not move i contacted MABBCO and they were not at all embarrassed at what they sold me .They had me believe if I sent motor back I would get my money back not the case we went around and around for weeks they had my money and the engine and they refused to refund my money i lost $395 DOLLARS in shipping costs and not including money trying to repair a completely junk motorThanks to pay pal and Ebay they reassured me i get my money backI HAVE VIDEOS AND PICTURES TO COMPLETELY VERIFY WHAT I HAVE SAID ABOUT THIS MOTOR I GOT FROM MABBCOThis company has caused ME ALOT of unnecessary STRESSI have read in the better BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU THAT IM ONE OF TO MANY COMPLAINTS WITH THIS COMPANYi have tried to deal with this company without going public with what they did to me giving them the benefit of the doubtThey wanted no part of solving the issues all they would do is repair the motor and i can come and pick up or repay the shipping costs not acceptableAfter seeing how bad this motor was and their lack of care i wanted no part of anything this company has to offerI would much rather give a company a thumbs upI just hope this will help someone else not make the same bad decision and order from this company

If there was a blank that what i would rate this sorry place. Screwed by sister out of over 2500 dollars. Motor started knocking right after short period. Claim it was dirty they let in the motor. But all the cycliners are damaged and both heads. Their customer service sucks their place looks nasty. Dirty properly from there. If it was dirty. Looks to me they need a mechanic. SORRY SORRY.

I bought a short block for my 2.2L S10. I was very impressed with the quality and the attention to detail. But what blew me away was how responsive and helpful their customer service was at answering my questions. Mabbco is the way all companies should perform. I would recommend them to anyone.

Our new Mabbco motor is such bad quality the mechanic wouldn’t even install it. He said it would fail in the first week of use. Mabbco wouldnt stand behind it and now we’re on the hook for another

I purchased engine kit several months ago for 68 350 Oldsmobile rocket. I also purchased RV camshaft.just got it out back together & while cranking out over the cam gear that drives the distributor broke three teeth off the Cam.didnt hurt the distributor gear at all? i have built a lot of engines & never seen this happen. I am ASE certified & have built a lot of engines I primed the engine with a drill spinning the oil pump after assembly & everything was smooth. I contacted Mobco &they tried to tell me I didnt have my distributor seated when I know it was bolted down. So Im assuming that the distributor gear is harder than the cam gear? Right! Bottom line they will not stand behind their product & do nothing about it. no refund. Im assuming the camshaft had a defect or it is junk metal.Comp Cam for replacement. All the other parts that was in the kit seem to be okay at the moment. To make a long story short they lost a customer.BEWARE!!
