As first time RV owners we were very pleased with the service we were provided. To start the welcoming greeting you receive when you enter the establishment was very pleasing you instantly felt valued. The hospitality was a breath of fresh air as they made sure your wait was pleasant with offers of refreshments and conversation.Our sales representative was very nice and patient as we went back and forth to multiple RV’s and he very Extensively explained every aspect of each RV to the point were we felt confident that our RV was designed specifically with us in mind. The Financing part of the process was very pain less and quick our financial advisor discussed all the terms and conditions and worked really hard to make sure we left with our new RV with a rate and payment that fitted our budget but your experience doesn’t end there before you cross the I and dot the T’s you get to go on a tour of your RV with all the accessories and everything assembled. Our service guy was very knowledgeable of our camper as if he owned the exact model he explained every detail to us and even showed us how each mechanical piece worked inside and out. Lastly, after sitting down and signing our paperwork we were paired up with a floor sales rep who walked with us around the store and showed us accessories that we may possibly need but since we got the let’s go camping package we had most of what we needed but being the difficult person I am I had a special request that unfortunately they didn’t carry in the store but he’s looking online to see if he can find what I was needing it was apparent that he wanted to make sure I was happy and had everything I wanted for my RV… I said lastly but what I meant was I was saving the very best for last.. the man checking us out at the Register was hands down the sweetest and very funny. all of these gentlemen played a major part in making our experience the very best experience.. I couldn’t have asked for anything to be done differently.. hands down the best company to buy your new RV

Usually, first impressions of a business begin when a customer walks through its doors. My positive experience began even sooner. As soon as I began clicking on different RVs on the website, I was contacted by the tech woman ( I wish I remembered her name) and she set up an appointment. When my husband and I drove to Tyler from Shreveport we were authentically greeted by the cashier woman. From there, we were in the good hands of what I refer to now as The A Team. Barry, Michael, Chad, and Dennis worked together like a well-oiled machine. They actually made the RV looking, and then purchasing, quite fun. As my husband and I waited on paperwork, we observed. The workplace was immaculate and the staff appeared to be happy. Kudos to the manager for encouraging teamwork!

Had an excellent experience purchasing our new camper at Gander RV. Jodi was our salesperson and did a thorough job of explaining the different options and features, and answering our many questions as first time camper buyers. She even offered to come in on her day off to help us finalize the deal. RJ, the general manager, stayed late to help us get the paperwork signed due to my work schedule. The service team had the camper ready and prepped on time for our scheduled pick up. You really cant ask for more from a sales team. I highly recommend Gander for anyone even considering purchasing a camper or RV.

The purchase of our RV went well. Everyone was pleasant and well informed and make us feel appreciated. The problem I had was after the sale. I wanted a TV mount installed in my travel trailer. The three associates I spoke with, Eric, Terry and Michael understood and told me that it would be No problem. When the RV was delivered, there was no TV mount installed. Keep in mind I am three hours away from Tyler. As a big favor to Gander RV, I drove my RV back to Gander RV and was handed the TV mount in a box. I said your supposed to install it and the said the cant and did I talk to the shop? Why would I have to ask the shop to install it when Gander Rv was instructed to install it for me? Frustrated and upset, I left.

I have had the best experience at Gander RV & Outdoor in Tyler, Texas with Joe Minter. He has helped me through everything and is very honest and open when going through RVs and shopping. Our RV was very dirty. Several things do not work or are rigged.Shelves not aligned and falling off. Grease footprints and fingerprints everywhere. I almost had an accident because they did not clean the glass which was filthy. I was mansplained until I could prove I was right about a TV. Side door popped open on drive home because it was not aligned. TV the manager “fixed” by attaching with two screws partially fell off. Only one marker light worked. I asked about the front curtain and said it didn’t come with it, found it in the fridge. Oh and the grease everywhere, unless I expected them to buy something to clean it I could do it myself. No temp tag until we went back and asked about it. Also they try to sell you a 12k plan because you know the RV will fall apart. Really? I will never buy from them again and would never recommend them.

So I didnt know they were going to stop selling firearms and anything related to them. Figures since their CEO said if you liked Trump they didnt need or want your money. Maybe they will sell a ton of RV and boats but I now have no need to go there. Adios camping liberal world.

Purchased a Starcraft super lite towable RV from two of the most amazing sales ladies ever. Jodi and Staci, from Gander Outdoors in Tyler, Texas both worked very hard to see that I was able to purchase this trailer for the price that I wanted to pay! Very nice experience. We werent floored by salespeople when we first walked in and started looking. After looking at all the travel trailers inside and being able to do it at at our own unpressured pace, then a salesman approached us and we were able to better discuss what we were looking for.I recommend Gander RV to anyone thinking about buying an RV and speak with Joe Minter, he can answer all your questions.

Joe Minter at the Tyler location was a huge help! We walked in with a budget and no idea of what floor plan or brand we wanted. Joe took his time and endured the blazing heat until he pinpointed a layout we loved. Will definitely be saving his contact info. 10/10.

Staff was helpful and friendly. However, service was lacking. Make-ready failed to drain the black and gray water tanks, which were full. I towed full tanks for 2 hrs back to the house. Not the end of the world, but if you say you are going to do something I expect you to do it.

Dropped in one week ago to see that they have completely changed the store. All RV & TT supplies. This is good for people who own these. No more clothing, shoes, etc.,guns, ammo, hunting, fishing stuff, if I may!!! Strictly Recreational Vehicle and camping. They need to change the name to RV/TT Camping World!!We have no reason to shop here anymore.

My wife and I had a great experience at Gander RV & Outdoors in Tyler. We purchased a 2021 Carbon 358. Chris was our Salesman and he took the time and patience to work with us through the decision process. Hats off to Corey, Lyndon as well. They took a lot of time walking us through several different options. Others I would like to mention that stayed out in the heat with us as we were shown the ins and out were Dennis and Jimmy. Jimmy especially worked very hard to make sure the delivery of the RV was exactly what we were looking for and went above and beyond. We would highly recommend that if you are looking for a new RV that you check the folks out at Gander RV & Outdoors - Tyler. Oh, we dont want to forget JR he saved the day on a few items as well. New inventory was lacking attention to detail. We noticed trim falling off, damages, and multiple brand new units had parts stolen from the service department to fix other peoples RVs. Our salesman was not familiar at all with what inventory he had and where it was located on the lot. We were trying to get a price on a slightly used one and they started playing the whole back and forth sales game and wanting us to sign a commitment to buy before they would give us a firm price so we walked out.

Good selection of RV products. Prices are a bit high even with Good Sam membership. My local RV dealer has their prices beat easily.

Everything went well except:Pros-1. Fair price.2. Only place I could find a No Boundaries 19.7Cons-1. Prior to my 7 hour drive I requested the ball size needed for my weight distributing hitch. The size I was told was wrong.2. After providing me the wrong ball size, I had no choice but to spend another $600 on there WD hitch.3. This “RV” dealership couldn’t provide/order me lithium batteries for my new RV trailer.4. I knew as much, if not more, about my trailer that they did during the purchase/walk through.Basically, I was very disappointed and would not recommend this dealership.

Amber, was my sales lady, she was patient and kind and I would highly recommend seeing her. She didnt rush us she let us take our time and she knew pretty much what we already wanted and she worked really hard to show us everything we would be looking for. Management was super nice. How they recommend Ganders.

We recently traded in our camper at Gander RV for a new, larger camper. The employees at Gander RV in Tyler made the whole process so easy. This isn’t a far stretch from the old Gander Mountain. Other than the addition of selling RV’s a lot stayed the same. The clothing selection is smaller and so is the fishing gear. Still a fun store for any outdoor or adventure enthusiast. It also still has a bow shooting range indoors. Good stuff.

The sales experience was very good. Eric was very personable and not pushy during our shopping. The walk through on the day of delivery was adequate. There were some features on the RV that could have been covered more thoroughly. The RV could have been cleaned better before the walk through. All in all, a good experience.

Working with the lady working the internet inquiries (Kim) and sales person Barry was fantastic. Unfortunate that we have to wait until sale is final to go over the technical details of how to operate all the features.

Poor customer service. We wanted to look at RVs and there was only one salesman working. I asked if we needed to make an appointment, but the gentleman just said we could wait, if we wanted, or it would probably be better to come back another day. I told him that we live an hour away, and he just said, Im sorry. He wasnt rude, but he also wasnt helpful. He did help me decide that I dont want to buy an RV from this location.

Amber was such a help, she was eager to listen to what we wanted, what our price range was, and she showed us a camper that fit our needs. RJ, the General Manager, went through hoops to accommodate us, not to mention how super professional and pleasant he made the purchasing process. Great service! All the trailers we looked at were in great condition. We had a great salesman named Kyle and sales specialist named Chris, they were both really polite and did a great job with helping us with the trailer and getting is set up with financing.

We bought a camper from gander and our sales representative was AMAZING!!!!!! He was very helpful and listened to what we wanted he even took the time to show us our options and didn’t push us in to anything. He was there from beginning to end. I would not buy a camper from anyone else but Chris. He treats you like he has known you forever and he is very nice and welcoming.

The staff was helpful and friendly. We weren’t sure what we were looking for, but the staff was able to find the size we needed in the price range that we could afford. Came into the store the other day looking for some scopes and potentially a firearm for concealed carry and home security purposes. As I was browsing a sales associate, Bradley-sama I believe was his name, approached and presented his knowledge of firearms to me. Told me about some of the fancy rifles and shotguns, as well as the differences in the hand gun models that were on display. I was very impressed with what he had to show me, and I left with a greater understanding of what my options were. He was a very wise, and I apprecerated his generous sharing

This was the worst experience I have ever had trying to buy a camper, boat or vehicle. This place CHARGES you for showing you how the camper works. They also want to charge extra for propane tanks, battery, etc. I went somewhere else and bought a camper the next day, and guess what? Didn’t get charged for any of the above. DO NOT BUY A CAMPER FROM THIS PLACE!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Gander and are so excited about our Class C motor home purchase . We met with Amber who took time toListen and study the details of what our families needs and wants were and was patient with us when we were uncertain . I was at Gander today and had the best experience! Customer service was great, and the receptionist at the front was kind, friendly, and directed me to exactly what I was looking for. Not sure what kind of bad day the review before this one was having, but can’t relate!

Looks like they are going to be strictly RVs. Glad I didnt renew my club membership. Prices on accessories not that good either.

Most of the experience was positive. However, I was promised the unit would be detailed. It didn’t happen.Very disappointing! Actually it’s pretty bad!Waited 4+ hours for 5th wheel to be installed during lunch hour. No lunch or refreshments were offered. We were famished by the the time the transaction was completed.To earn a 5 star rating, do what you say you will do. The interior was not detailed as promised. Or actually wasn’t even cleaned. Pretty unhappy, since I live in Fort Worth and can’t bring it back to be done. You should make arrangements for me to get it done locally.I would like to add, I never heard from the GM or Salesperson of an offer to correct the situation.Customer NO Service. Avoid this business!!Horrible Customer (NO) Service!!

We started the process not knowing anything about campers and Gavin in the internet dept was very quick to respond and was very helpful. Staci was wonderful and knowledgeable, she helped us find the perfect camper for our family. Rj and Lyndon made the whole finance process go smoothly and we will definitely be repeat customers.

Dont show up to grab anything close to closing time cause they will meet you at the door 5 minutes before closing and let you know real quick you aint coming in. I aint gonna hurt this store not shopping there cause I wont anymore but Gander dont give a dern about customers unless you have pockets for a RV. Academy is a block down the street so give them yalls money plus Gander has people with a book of felonies for theft and assault in the sales dept so my finance info wouldnt go with these guys I promise. Check salesman names and you will know they hire thieves with LONG criminal history.

Very Dissatisfied! Service dept. Didnt even fix half the things we asked. Went to pick up rv yesterday and battery was dead. Left all the lights on and killed the battery. Left over materials and personal trash left on floor, bathroom, and our bed. Asked to replace toilet. Not only did it not happen, our old toilet was cracked in several places. Thought we might get a little better service after spending over 14k on repairs. Disappointed to say the least!!

Gander RV of Tyler in particular, Jodi Cummins, has really gone out of their way to make sure my wife and I are being taken care of.Jodi has been accommodating in so many ways. She came in on her off-day to facilitate our purchase because of scheduling issues on our part.It’s clear that she loves RVs, old dogs and what she does!

I didnt realize that Gander continues to sell sporting equipment, and was pleasantly surprised to find out. They have a reasonable inventory of guns, but like everyone else, ammo is almost non-existent. Worth checking them out.

Would have been 5 stars except they failed on the execution. They said my trailer would come equipped with a Lets go camping package. So I bought a used 2017 Summerland series Springdale with the same expectations. Only this trailer didnt come with even the basics, no sewer drain, no checks etc.. For the same exact price I woulde walked away with more buying new. But the salesman was too busy trying to sell me an extended warranty package that I didnt want or need! For that they got 3 stars, and wouldve been 2 stars if it wasnt for Chris, the original salesman.

Horrible service. 1 register open stayed 3 customers deep. We stood in line to be told to stand to the side and wait, next customer stood in line to be told to stand behind us in line to wait slow service.1 girl was at desk with computer at entrance, could have helped in some way to speed things up, but surfing on her phone is what she gets paid to do I guess, thats all she did from the time we entered the store until we left. Its not good customer service to have to stand in a line to give someone money, expecially with slow service.

They were very helpful not pushy with us they made the effort to allow us to trade our 5th wheel for a class C they went above and beyond to get us into the class C

If you are looking for a camper and don’t want the pushy salespeople piercing your soul with their “come on I need a sale. I don’t care if it’s the right fit for you tomorrow, think of today” mentality. Then Gander RV & Outdoor is the place to go. Me and my husband walked around, took our time and when we were ready we sought out a salesman. They aren’t hard to find. They sit in a clear box waiting for someone to need them. Almost like the roles are reversed. The customer gets to walk by and stare at the salespeople for a change.The whole experience from meeting our salesman Eric to finance with RJ and Michael was effortless. We weren’t shown the top model and encouraged to go for it. We were asked what we want, what we need. We found what we wanted and it all fell into place, step by step with support, answers and upfront communication. I even called several times to make adjustments to my contract, (add a backup camera, a break control, etc) and every time Eric and RJ listened and helped. On the day we came to pick up our trailer we were told to plan on a four hour slot. And sure enough we used up every minute of it. The shop guys walked us through every nook and cranny they possibly could and answered all our questions. They really make you feel like you can care for your camper because you were shown first and given a book to use as a reference second.When you find a place that provides exceptional service and follows the “Golden Rule” others should get to experience it as well. Take my word for it and go to Gander RV & Outdoor. Ask for Eric, he won’t disappoint you.

I got all of my hunting and fishing needs at Gander until they shipped all hunting supplies elsewhere. I will still shop around but will have to spend money in the fall somewhere else.

Jodi made our first time to look at RV’s very pleasant. She’s downright friendly, funny, and knows her business. We will definitely be getting back with her when we’re ready to make a purchase. 😊

Friendly staff, well laid out displays, but a little shy on inventory. Could be for remodeling purposes, or just hard to fill like everywhere else since the pandemic.

We bought a keystone sprinter 5th wheel from Gander Outdoors (Tyler). Scheduled to pick it up on a Monday (had an appointment at noon to install the 5th wheel hitch and come home with the camper). The hitch did not arrive that day (wasn’t going to be there until Wednesday). After some discussion, we figured out it wasn’t going to be the right hitch anyway. Rescheduled for Friday and had the hitch delivered to and installed at Hitch World in Tyler. The gentleman at Hitch World did an absolutely fantastic job getting the hitch installed in less time than he promised! Headed across town to Gander Outdoor for the camper. They had it all ready to hook up and go. Even with the glitches, the folks at Gander Outdoor were extremely accommodating and great to deal with! We live over 2 hours away fromTyler, so it was definitely out of our way. It our salesman Rick was great when it came to keeping us informed and answering texts quickly. For every question we had, he got us an answer fast. Definitely recommend heading over to this place if you are looking to buy an RV. From sales, to service, all the way up to the general manager- they all got involved to make sure we had exactly what we needed and then some 😉.

We are newbies to the RV scene. We met Ashley when coming to Gander. She showed us around and was very knowledgeable about all of the RVs. We never felt pressured and were very comfortable with the tour. I would recommend seeing Ashley at Gander.

Trey and Bryant made the purchase of our new 5th wheel camper a seamless process. Trey was very laid back and showed us a few campers at first. My husband and I took a few days to discuss what we really liked and needed. Then we contacted him a few days later to look at a different camper that we ended up purchasing. Treys laid back approach worked for us and gave us the time to process what we really needed. We couldnt be happier with the camper and the service. Bryant made the finance portion a breeze. I recommend Gander RV if youre in the market for a camper.

The sales department were awesome people to work with in meeting the needs of my parents for a motorhome class - c. R.J., Joe Minter, Michael Abeldt. these three went above and beyond to make the sale work for my parents and found a way to keep there payments at where they needed them to be. In short we sat down told them what we were looking for and needed and they all did the rest to make it happen. Great down to earth guys that understand people and what the people needs to accomplish.in my opinion these three men are the cream of the crop when it comes to understanding and really hearing what people need. they have renewed my faith in sales people and what it really means to be a salesman. There honesty with us was top notch and on top.

RJ and his team are amazing. They all have gone above and beyond to help us with our RV which we actually bought from a dealer in Oklahoma.Even though they didnt make the sale and had to straighten out the other dealers mess, they did it with a smile and their face and a lot of patience. Everyone there is great! Thanks RJ and team.
