Best place ever! The staff was so friendly. Kayla was the best. She understood what was important to me and I had a great experience and walked out happy with my choices and felt that I mattered. Pricing was inexpensive and fit my budget. I would have given them a 10 but 5 star was all I could.
Hands down the best customer service I have received from an optical clinic in quite some time! The staff was friendly and the process was swift and efficient. I was able to have an exam and get fitted for both contacts and glasses in less than an hour. If you are in the area and need an exam with contacts, glasses, or both please stop and ask for Kayla! She is absolutely amazing and has a keen eye for picking out the best frames to suit your face and needs! The process was so incredibly seamless with her help. Melissa Wilson was absolutely phenomenal! I came in with some frames and had no idea how the warranty process worked. Loved the entire staff! I made an appointment on the website and was helped as soon as I arrived. The girls working helped me the whole time with my kids, they offered coloring books and crayons and met every tv show request without hesitation! My appointment was July 3rd, 2021. From the time I walked in I was greeted and approached quickly as to the reason I was there. Bianca, did my prescreening and was amazing. After selecting my frames Corey helped me and was also amazing. I didn’t have contact with all of the staff that day but Karina, Fannie, and Amy were all very sweet. Unfortunately, my frames did not work out but when I went back to select new frames for glasses and change lenses for my sunglasses, Amy Garrett when above and beyond to help me and to make sure that I am happy. Very patient and amazing as well. I pick those up tomorrow so I hope they work out this time, but if not I have no doubt they will do whatever it takes to make it right. I highly recommend Stanton Opitical at this location and their staff and it was one of the best experiences I’ve had.
I bought two pair of glasses when the Stanton in Tyler opened a few years ago.. Quality on both was bad. It wasnt long before lens were pitted and scratched. Nose pieces fell off many times. Ive only come in since then on Sundays to get an eye exam because theyre the only ones open on Sundays that do exams. My last exam and 2017, I was told that I would probably not get cataracts. A few days ago, I had another exam, I was told that everyone gets cataracts! That just simply isnt true. I just cant find enough bad things to say about this place! Good for getting an exam only.
Melissa Wilson at the Stanton Optical store in Tyler Texas is outstanding! She went above and beyond to help get my contacts ordered today! I had to use my benefits card, then she was happy to run the rest on another card! She is emailing me the receipt and asking her store manager to have them shipped to me since the store is about an hour away from me, and 4 tolls away, to save me gas and tolls! I would drive an hour away and pay the tolls for the service this store provides! Friendly and helpful staff! Great products and customer care!
Amy helps my family everytime we need glasses. Selection could be limited depending on your taste. But they do have an abundance of frames to choose from. They are very knowledgeable.
My daughter and I went to Stanton Optical for a regular checkup and glasses. The assistants were so nice and helpful. Kayla is the person who helped us with our glasses and she was amazing. She was professional, helpful and kind, really enjoyed our experience.
I had one of my best experiences yesterday at Stanton Optical everyone was kind and really seemed liked they cared. When I got to the point where I was picking out glasses and checking out I got helped by Amy she helped me make the final decision on my glasses and explained everything that I needed for my eyes. Along with that has she was one of the nicest people I have ever met.

Looking for a place to take our daughter for an exam. She is only 6 and has seem to be having some issues lately, saying things look fuzzy. After a little online research we landed on Stanton Optical as an option that accepted our insurance and their FAQ section on their website states that they DO see children 6 years and older. We tried to make an appointment online with no response from that system, we called. The person that took the appointment over the phone stated that the reason the appointment didnt take was probably because of her age and that the pediatric optometrist took appointments only on certain days. Thursday being one of them, so we made the appointment. Arriving there after an hour drive from our home, the place looked busy and we were met by an employee that offered to help. As we informed her of our appointment another employee at a counter behind her spoke up and ask the age of our daughter. When we told them of her age we were quickly informed that they only see patients ages 8-80. We informed them of the appointment that was made by them for her and that they were informed of her age and they again repeated 8-80. Seeing how they just wanted to leave it at that and not offer any other kind of help or options, we decided to leave. I would not recommend this place of business to anyone and wish I would have read some of the Google Reviews on them prior to making the appointment there, as there are several that seem to have had some issues as well. Hopefully this will save someone the aggravation we experienced in the future.
Wonderful service that was fast and friendly. The eye exam is mostly automatic and the official check with the optometrist remotely controlling the screens and lenses.HUGE shout out to Amy and Melissa for taking care of us on the backside of the process. Our budget was a little tighter than what things came out to and both Amy and Melissa went to the ends of the Earth to get us taken care of.
The staff is always welcoming and friendly. They make feel very comfortable and walk you through everything they do. They also keep you updated on your orders. I would hands down recommend them to anyone and everyone. Shout out to Amy she is always smiling and has outstanding customer service

All of the employees were amazing! From the ladies scheduling exams, to Kayla helping my new glasses fit. I even had to do a return and the store manager, Amy, made the process smooth and easy. Id give 6 stars, but Google wont let me. Definitely recommend!
Myself, my boys, and a few other family member have gone here and had great experiences. The manager is very kind and accommodating with service! The store is super busy sometimes but they really try to overcompensate for that.

Amazing place, good experience, only reason why I decided to take a star away from my original review (this is an edit) is because there were only 2 gender options on the form your given when you enter, male or female, while it did not effect me as i identify with a binary gender, and the choice doesnt change much about your experience, I still think its a bad thing thats should be changed.

This was my first time ever going to here. I was very pleased with my experience. Every one was very nice and friendly and helpful. Answered all my questions and concerns. The folks who work here were super nice and did an awesome job. I thought was not going to be able to get my contacts today. But they helped me until we found a pair that would work for me. Whether you want to invent a thousand different genders or claim yourself as this or that. It’s nobody’s business and nobody cares. Stop feeling sorry for yourself and get over it.
I told the salesperson I work construction and I need scratch resistant lenses, after just a few months I noticed I have scratches. I went and talk to someone at the desk and they told me they would sell me another pair of glasses at half price. They proceeded to tell me its not totally scratch resistant! This is just normal wear and tear on my glasses. My glasses are only 8 months old.
Staff was rude as soon as I walked in. Do you have an appointment? Do you have a prescription? Do you have a mask? Not everyone in the place was masked up, but because Im a white male, I guess its required for me. There are plenty of other places to go in Tyler. Dont waste your time here, they dont want your patronage.
The staff was super friendly, but not forthcoming. They entice with 50% off and free exam with eyeglass purchase, then take it upon themselves to add upgrades without asking. $646 is ridiculous for 2 pair of glasses and contacts. Cheaper than one pair though at $697. Last time I visit this place!

I have been experiencing problems with my eyes lately & figured I should go have them examined so that I could purchase some corrective lens. When my eyes begin to bother me, it causes me to have headaches. Sometimes I have migraine headaches from blurry vision.This was my first experience at Stanton Optical. I was not greeted walking in the door; however, the young lady that checked me in was very friendly & informative.I had a late appointment scheduled & did not receive full service due to staff being eager to leave. I was put through a process which was not completed so Im going home with a major headache & no results. I was asked to return tomorrow to complete the process which I feel my issue was disregarded & less than important to the staff at Stanton Optical. I believe staff could have stayed being that I was already here.I know they close at 7, but normally when youre already present at an establishment prior to closing they complete your order, check you out or let you finish your food.This will be my last visit at Stanton Optical. I will not spend my hard my any place that makes me feel less than important.

A few days ago, this old man laid own on the floor to pet the dog and; well, he fell asleep and, you guessed it, rolled over on his specs. They were a disaster! Additionally, my wife had lost one lens out of her glasses, so we were a couple of old folks trying to read bills and such with very few positive results. We live about 40 miles from the Tyler store. It was impossible to get into any of the eyeglass stores in our nearby city, however a call to the Tyler store was answered with a, Come on down! We can get you in today. Our daughter drove us to the store for the beginning of a wonderful experience. Following a short bit of paperwork, for insurance purposes, each of us was entered into one of several exam rooms. Once the exam was completed, one of the nicest people I have ever met took care of us for the remainder of the process. Amy made us feel right at home. She seemed to genuinely appreciate our business and was very happy we had selected Stanton above all the other competition. Amy helped us with our selection of frames and lenses. Again, Amys attitude was professional, extremely friendly and a great example of a polished professional, I hope other people in your operation emulate Amy. On top of all this, she was fast and obviously knew her business! Amy would be an excellent trainer for any new person coming on board. A final footnote. Since we live a good distance from Tyler, Amy arranged to have our new glasses mailed directly to our doorstep. Service parexcellance from a wonderful young person and a huge asset to your operation. Today was my first visit to your Tyler store and I am SO impressed with AMY GARRETT, Store Manager, and her entire staff. From the moment I walked in the door ...until I left ...the staff and service were first class. AMY worked her ‘magic’ on repairing my eyeglasses (which took a miracle) to which I sing her praises !!!What I noticed firsthand while I was there was the staff’s personalization, professionalism and overall attitude toward the customers. ‘Priceless’You can be sure that I will sing the praises of this store to my personal and professional friends . In a time where good service is hard to find, AMY and her staff stand out from the crowd. I will definitely be back.

Broke my glasses. Stopped by Stanton optical to drop them off for repair. To my surprise they told me it would take about 45 minutes. I was not expecting to to get the repair done on a Saturday. Went back to check on the progress about 2 hours later and they were finished. The next surprise was when they said no charge. Great customer service.
Easy to make an appointment with usually open schedule. The customer service is pretty good too, however, they got my prescription wrong.Notice: They give you 30 days to return the glasses so if you dont like the frames or feel like they got your prescription wrong make sure you return them in store.

Weve been coming to Stanton Optical for about 2 years now. I cant say enough good things about Melissa and Amy. They have both been so helpful.Melissa worked with my grandson to make sure his first pair of glasses were perfect. She answered questions, explained options so even the 12yr old understood, helped us get CareCredit in less than 5 minutes (after my husband had been trying for over an hour), helped with discounts, and, as we live outside Tyler, even offered to meet us with his glasses since she visits our area. She definitely goes above and beyond.My husband hated his progressive lenses and wanted to change lenses in his old frames. Amy promptly returned his phone call and patiently went over options and the pros and cons of each. She helped me with a problem with my frames, and even after I was satisfied, she worked to make it better than I expected. I get so many compliments on my glasses that it amazes me! I also witnessed her dealing with an irate and irrational customer upset about something beyond Stanton Opticals control. On my best day I would have kicked her out, but Amy was so professional and kind. I was truly impressed!I highly recommend Stanton Optical for their great prices, wonderful selection of frames, and the awesome people there who really care!
I liked using staton because appointments are easy to book and always available. I will no longer be using staton optical as they are money hungry. I have never been so upset in my life. March 2020 I came in for a contact lens exam and was sold the vision club membership ($50) which states you get your next year exam free and 20% off contacts in store. I booked an exam for today 2021 and when I went to check out the girl was trying to charge me $89 for the exam. I told her I was in the vision club and my exam was free. She told me I had to purchase contacts in order to get my free exam. The website does not state that at all. She only argued with me and said I could not get a free exam. In 2020 I paid over 300 for an exam, contacts and this membership. They also had to make phone calls as they could not get the promotion to work. So basically the free exam for vision club is a scam and a way for them to make an extra $50. The tech and the manager both tried to force me to purchase contacts. I ended up getting the exam for free using the membership but felt like the staff was threatening saying I needed to shop there because I’m losing out on discounts. I will never use Stanton optical again! I’m sure they are scamming tons of people with this membership.I even looked up the vision club on the website and had the tech read it and she was still arguing with me. Worst customer service!
I had to wait around 30-40 minutes after an eye exam to pay for it and wound up buying some glasses, because the woman who eventually helped me out gave me a great deal on some.She was very nice and despite having to deal with a customer who would not wear a mask, was able to help me.

The manager, Desk-a-ray (pretty confident in the name spelling by the way) was really awesome and knew how to jam aloud to some tunes making it pretty fun, dont know where she a-choired such a skill. Overall the staff was mega-friendly and helpful for getting me what I wanted. Also very fast on getting my glasses done which is a plus, only about 20 minutes!

First time Ive been there but never go back again. The staff is very friendly and helpful. But the prices are very outrageous.. what I paid there for pair of cheap glasses is outrageous. I can get Oakleys at my regular eye doctor. Its was an emergency but I learned my lesson. They also dont take Fully Your Insurance they go off a Discount sheet which is the first time hearing about that, if You dont fully take Insurance dont say on the phone that You do. When at the End You will see a high end receipt Of You paying low brand glasses when You can get bigger Name Brand Glasses somewhere they will take Your Insurance an Not beat around the bush, they also done have that many selections on frame of glasses.

Was able to get in the same day for an exam. Unlike other places where the wait was months at a time. Very kind, professional, good vibes, affordable prices. The eye doctor did my eye exam through the safety of a screen during this Covid felt safe and was happy to be able to see well again all in the same day. Thank you it was a blessing.

This place wouldn’t give me my prescription over the phone unless I came in for an appointment. I was in less than a year ago. I got transferred after telling the man I need this information for my taxes that I’m filing today. He insisted I needed to come in a for an appointment. Why don’t eye doctors give you YOUR OWN health information? This isn’t the first time this has happened. Thanks for nothing!
An awful experience. I called ahead and told them exsactly what I need. I was told it would be no more than 200. And that I would get my glasses the same day. I went to an apt. The apt was a joke. A man on a TV talks to u. How does that even work??? I did not feel comfortable with this at all. Then I go to pick out frames. I sit down yo find out my glasses are over 800.00. Im sorry but 800 and 200 are not even close! I was so upset. I was going to walk out. Then she says well Ill give u a small discount. Well I still pd 753. For the glasses and I dont get them for 3 weeks. I feel like I was scammed. I feel cheated, Im very upset and unhappy. I would not recommend this place for anyoneThe prices here are absolutely insane! A complete rip off! They lie to get you in then stick it to u. If I could rate them a 0 star I would. 1 star is not low enough for them! Nothing but scam artists

Great place to get new glasses. Very friendly and helpful. Desirey was very kind and was very patient in helping me to choose new frames. My vision was really bad and I’ve got concerns as to how accurate my new prescription will be as the vision exam is done through a digital process and every thing seemed very blurred. Desirey assured me that if the new glasses are not correcting my vision, I will see the actual physician that comes into the office, and they will remake the glasses. I will update once I get new glasses as it will take a couple of weeks to get them in due to tinting process. It was such a pleasure to actually have help in the process of selecting frames. When vision is not good, it’s difficult to assess how the frames fit and look, and some of the places I’ve gone to before do not offer any assistance. Stanton Optical seems to offer the assistance, and Desirey is most helpful with these issues.
This place is an utter joke. Store is full of rude argumentative staff EVERY time I go. I will never use them again.

This is my second time to try Stanton. The first time, the eye doctor arrived late and said she didnt have my appointment down. I waited 1 hour before as they called her in to let her know she had an appointment. After this snafu, the remaining process went well. This week, when I went into the Tyler office again, I was told that my wifes insurance did not have me listed on her policy. We went through and double checked the policy number from my card and I verified that I was on the policy by phone and online in our insurance portal. I explained and showed this information to the staff only to be told there is nothing they could do. WhenI mentioned that there must be a mistake with Stantons system, I was emphatically told that they use a national system and that this issue would exist at an place I go. While working patiently with them for an hour to proceed with an eye exam using my insurance (I was offered to proceed with their in house plan which was more expensive than my insurance plan) I finally gave up and went to an EyeMart Express down the road and was able to make an appointment and they easily found me on my wifes insurance policy. Stanton lost a customer today.

Youll feel dirty after your visit, like you want to go straight home to take a shower dirty. Not because this place is gross but because their sales team is conniving. Theyll bait you with off topic questions and add upgrades without your knowledge, leaving you clueless on why your total is now so expensive (+$350 with frames priced $95 and 50% off of my lenses).What is the Wait Time for your new glasses you ask? Well if youre as lucky as I am, youll order them on February 9th, and receive them as soon as March 3rd....SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY, go somewhere else or just order through an online retailer.(Appointment and purchase of glasses took place on the 9th of February, but an order confirmation email was not received until the following day.)
I took the day off work, called to see if they took my insurance and if I would need the card and they said they take my insurance and if I dont have the card that it is ok. When I got there they said they cant use my insurance and I was left just standing there awkwardly with no idea on what I would end up paying. So I said ok and left. They clearly are busy enough to not worry about how they are treating potential new customers.
I love this place! Ive never had issues with the employees or the products! As soon as I have any issues, I just contact the store and boom they fix the isses!

Second time trying Stanton and I had higher hopes since this location is different from my previous experience. My exam went smoothly and the doctor was very nice, but as soon as that was over I was told to “browse” the frames and someone would be able to help me shortly. 30 minutes later I had give up and sat down because no one had attempted to help me. Then a women who had been sitting on her personal cell phone rudely asked if I was waiting on someone. I told her I was told to browse the frames and wait for someone to help me. She then asked “well did you pick out your frames?” Uhhhh....wasn’t someone supposed to assist me with that? (Because of covid regulations, I didn’t want to spread any germs, and other customers had received trays to sort frames with) At this point I was just fed up because I felt as though she was being hostile for no reason, and as if I was bothering them by waiting. So I decided I would not be buying frames from here, paid for my prescription and will be ordering frames online. I’ll stick to America’s Best from now on!
Thay took very good care of me and made my first experience of getting glasses easy and comfortable, thank you very much
