At the end of September 2021 I came to C&G Ukiah about repainting the driver side of a 2012 Toyota Corolla. This side of the car paint had ‘burned’ in appearance and looked like a blackboard ready for chalk. I suspected there had been some cosmetic damage to the car that was badly prepped and painted. I have had a little work previously done with C&G to a high standard. The service and quality of work provided then was my cause to return for the work described.On the day I came for an estimate, I was received with courtesy and good humor. The issue with the car was discussed, seen and photographed and my concerns were noted. At that time I began working with Estimator, Jamarhl Latimer.Mr. Latimer said he would be in touch and by the next day he was on the phone and had sent an email. I requested an email copy of the quote which he sent quickly. My wife and I took several days to consider the work and outcome. We agreed the work should be done. I spoke with Mr. Latimer and we agreed on a drop-off date for the car. Mr. Latimer had suggested a deposit be made when I delivered the car.On that morning, he met me and we confirmed my understanding of the quote. I suggested I deposit 50% of the estimate. I was happy with the quote, anticipated the work would be done well and wanted to move things forward.The car was moved through your line in good order. As the car moved from one task group to another, Mr. Latimer called and let me know.At one point when the door and rocker had been removed it was discovered that ‘clips’ were missing and tape was holding things together. Because of the nature of the paint failure, I had suspected shoddy work was done previously. I was not surprised by the details and agreed that replacement ‘clips’ be ordered and things done right. I appreciated that call from Mr. Latimer.As the car moved through the line, Mr. Latimer continued to contact me and reassure me that all was well. At one point very near the end, he called about the rear fender. A question had arisen about whether to paint the bumper or not.Mr. Latimer took a look and gave me a call. He suggested buffing the bumper. I was delighted at the thought because I didn’t consider the bumper any part of the painting project. The bumpers may have had to be removed and re-installed, but I hadn’t figured on them being painted.When my wife and I returned to pick up her car, Mr. Latimer was there to show us the work done. The work was done well and my wife drove home with a big smile in her new looking car.Mr. Jamarhl Latimer maintained excellent customer service during the time the Corolla was in your care. Mr. Latimer represented G&C Auto Body, Inc. in a five-star fashion. He was always polite. He knew what he was going to say before he said it, so that what he was telling me was clear. If the production crew encountered a situation, Mr. Latimer called me quickly about the issue and its resolution. It doesn’t get much better than that.I am pleased with the quality of work, the standard of professionalism by all the staff and production crews, and the care you demonstrate to your customers through estimators like Mr. Jamarhl Latimer.

The service was excellent. The service writer, Justin Welch was extremely polite, knowledgeable and very professional. Justin said it would take at least four days to repair the damage to the drivers side front and rear doors. However, I was pleasantly surprised when he texted me a day early to let me know my car would be ready that day. When I arrived to pick up my car Justin met me in the parking lot and showed me what was replaced and repaired and explained the process when I asked for specifics. The finished product looks great. They matched the paint color perfectly and there were no ripples in the area repaired. I was so pleased to see they had also cleaned my car inside and out! It looks wonderful! Justin gets a 10++ rating in my book!! I would highly recommend G & C Auto Body.

Tech was great…no issues there. While the underneath of my vehicle was damaged and fuel tank was replaced an alignment on my vehicle was missed. Things happen I wasn’t upset and was happy to speak to them about this and they were helpful and scheduled alignment for the next day. Brought my vehicle in with my key fob which while not in perfect condition buttons were fine; not missing, not cut, etc. the lady at the desk radioed for the tech and he was not available. Handed me my keys said have a good day. Mind you no idea where my vehicle was in the lot jammed with other vehicles I said ok so it’s out here somewhere? She said yes. As I had my keys in my hand buttons were sunken in to the point I thought it was broken and A cut mark on the panic button. THIS WAS NOT LIKE THIS PRIOR TO DROP OFF. Manager said it was because the back was loose and normal wear and tear. Recommended I glue it and took no ownership of the fact that someone damaged my buttons. Even went as far as to say it was from our “fingernails” that broke the button. My husband and I have short nails. Someone there damaged it and refused to take ownership or acknowledge that it happened while in their care. Manager said he took the vehicle in himself which was not true the lady at the desk did. We are left with a broken key fob and a disappointing experience. I have taken vehicles there 3 times with no problems. I cannot believe the service we recently received. I will not be bringing another vehicle here for repair and do not recommend their shop.

I always take my cars here and this is one of many reasons why:My daughter recently bought a used car from the auto auction in ukiah ca and they “claimed” that they repaired the axle, that was not the case. The axle broke thankfully while she was stopping at a stop sign. I then had her car towed to G&C where Justin took great care of my daughters car. I voiced my concerns about the overall safety of this car and that I didn’t trust where it came from. I asked for them to please make it 100% safe. Justin reassured me that my daughter will be safe in this car after they are done with it. G&C went far beyond their promise; Justin called me every day for a week with updates, when I expressed my concerns with any new developments he always texted me back with honest answers. The mechanics found another major problem, that the “mechanics” at the auto auction overlooked, the seatbelt was not connected to the airbag sensor. Justin made sure that my daughter was safe behind the wheel and that means the world to me. Thank you so much Justin for caring about your work and for people.

The best body shop in Northern California. The repair was updated daily and they kept you informed during the repair. When I picked up my van it was vacuumed, interior wiped down for covid 19 recommendations and they gave my van a car wash! I was surprised. Excellent customer service!! I couldn’t be any happier with how professional and kind Justin is. He kept in contact with me through the week my Tahoe was in the shop.Their was a little issue with the bumper they used, it didn’t fit like it should have, so we brought it to their attention and Justin and the manager are going to fix it again, and booked me a rental car for the time being.They are so nice and even though the bumper didn’t quite fit how it should have, the way they handled the situation made up for it.I would happily go back.

My car was hit. I brought the car to G&C. They gave me an estimate immediately. Ordered the parts. Worked with my insurance. Everything looks brand new and they were done a day earlier than estimated. I cannot stress enough how painless they made this process.

I took my vehicle there after having wrecked it in an accident. It was a shop that was contracted with my insurance (GEICO). Since the first moment the shop received my vehicle, I received almost day-to-day updates regarding the status of my vehicle. They were so on top of everything and answered all my questions promptly. Did a PHENOMENAL job with my boyfriend’s truck. Took it in, repaired it and made it look like it never happened. Justin kept me updated via text from A to Z. No gimmicks, no games. I have used G & C quite alot. My pops wasnt driving so well. This body shop gave a quick and accurate estimate, kept me informed and did a wonderful job that is guaranteed as long as I own my SUV.

The place was a mess and the guy who wrote up my estimate didnt seem to really know what he was doing. My insurance carrier encouraged me to go there as it is a shop that they get discounted rates through, only thing was they may have charged 20% an hour less, but then padded their hours on the labor to be $600.00 dollars higher than McCartys autobody on a $2000.00 repair. That ends up to be 30% more...new math?

Expensive, They look at your vehicle very thoroughly, Somethings replace arent necessary.

Went to pick up my vehicle today and found that they left the vehicle out in the rain with the top off. The seats are now full of mold and destroyed the carpeting. The only thing they had to say was it was my fault and they stored it inside. Yet when I went there to look at itnit was sitting in the yard getting wet in the rain. Their only solution was to make another claim in my insurance for their fault. 0 out of 5 stars. They place blame on everyone else and accept 0 responsibility for their fault.

They were recommended by my insurance provider and Id heard great things about them, so I thought, Alright, lets see what all the buzz is about. Their receptionist was kind and reassuring on a very stressful day (Im talking bridesmaid in a wedding only an hour after the accident levels of stress), and I am beyond grateful for her.Also, I cannot emphasize this enough: Justin is an absolute gem! He kept me up to date during every step of the repair process and explained exactly what was being done each time. He even checked in with me a few days afterwards to assure that I was 100% satisfied with the repair and offered to answer any questions or concerns. I was absolutely blown away by the level of care and attentiveness shown, so much so that its the first thing Ive been mentioning to my friends and family.As for my car? Im not even slightly exaggerating when I say it looks just as good (if not better) than the day I drove it home from the dealership! I didnt even think that was possible! I had my vehicle repaired and am very pleased with everything they went above and beyond to make sure my car was repaired and i was satisfied. I would go back to this shop should anything else happen to any of my vehicle.

Its been a year now and Im still dealing with the aftermath of using G&C autobody. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Heres a short summary.Last year they did work on my van. Initially estimated 1-2weeks turn around time. That changed to 2 months. After finally getting my van back it had to be towed back to the shop a few days later. The driveline was falling out. The bolts were not tightened correctly.A year later I bring my van to the local ford dealer for a recall and upon inspection, They find 2 of the 3 bolts are broken. So today I miss another days work due to G&C inability to do their job correctly.On a side note, my bumper still isnt aligned correctly. The clearcoat feels like pavement and they damaged A/C panel when they removed it. I deal with cars,trucks, painters and detailers daily and this place is just the worst. Thanks for making a bad situation worse G&C.....
