I visited to receive warranty airbag replacement. The dealership service was excellent, my Subi is 16 plus years old, its pretty awesome that safety/warranty issues are remembered and corrected without any red tape

I went in on a Sunday to purchase newer vehicle (2k miles) that I saw on their website. I agreed to pay full price. When I told them that I was paying with a personal check, the salesman excused himself and return few minutes later claiming that they could not take a personal check and that I would have to get a cashiers check. He promised to deliver the vehicle to my door detailed and with a full tank of gas. It was disappointing, but I agreed. I was excited with the truck, so I felt it was work taking some time off work to do the banking portion of the deal. I thought it was also a good gesture to have the truck delivered, since I lived I hour away. When signing the paperwork, the ‘financials employee’ was surprised with the idea that they would not accept my check, claiming they could simple wait until the check clears or do credit check (My wife and I both have credit scores over 800). It was at that point that I felt that realized that their policies may differ based upon the skin color of the customer…but I thought…they make good on the truck this could be overlooked.I procured the cashier’s check the next business day then called the salesperson to arranged an exchange (check for truck) with his driver and my father-in-law. I went back to work. After the exchange my father-in-law called me to let me know the truck had arrived, but the truck was not detailed and the gas tank was on empty. I texted the salesperson immediately. He said this should not have happened and he would have a gas card sent to me in the mail.Several weeks go by with no gas card. I called Ken Fowler Auto. I spoke with a salesperson who said he would check it to it and call me back. He never did. I called…same salesperson put me on hold…hoping I would go away. I did not. When he finally returned to the call, I asked to speak to his manager. He put me on hold again…returning to tell me the manager does not have time to speak to me and hung up.P.S. As for making it right?...you did send a gas card that filled up 1/2 of the tank. But I am interested to know...How does that make it right? I have not received an apology from the salesman (Chris) that hung up on me or the sales manager that refused to take my check or my call.

Inquired about a used vehicle, first couple of interactions went well. Even discussed possible trade in and an offer. Salesmen even took some personal info down. Salesmen was going to check with manager about my offer and get back to me. This is where the salesmen disappeared, I texted and called multiple times concerned about my personal info. I called the dealer again, speaking with a different salesmen, he told me he would look into the vehicle that I was interested in, try to find out what happen with my info, and call me back in twenty. Never heard back. I would not recommend or trust this dealership.

My 2011 Forester was towed to the dealership on Monday Jan 7. Naturally I was concerned re possible major repair but I was not informed until Wednesday Jan 9 that repair was minor. Thursday pm the car was available to be picked up. I was unhappy with the delayed response to my inquiry and the amount of time taken with a simple battery replacement. I spoke to the service manager Hectorand he responded immediately to my complaint .I am writing to commend Hector at Fowler Subaru Ukiah for his problem solving and courtesy.Sophie Otis (15 + years and 2 vehicles from Fowler Subaru)

Was called to Ukiah CA to assist with the Moose Fire. We arrived and started to assist CalFire as much as we were allowed to. During our engagement with the fire our new 2019 Chevrolet 2500 Type 7 Fire Engine failed to complete a exhaust burn.Eventually the computer recognized this failure as a problem and put our engine into what is referred to as limp mode. This mode overrides control and only allows the truck to move at speeds around 25 to 35 mph. This compromised my crew and I in regards to safety. I reported the trouble and took the engine to the nearest Chevrolet dealorship.Unfortunately this turned out to be the Thurston Auto plaza. As I waited out front for them to open I noticed several people moving around inside. even though it was an engine part right at the service door none of them made any moves to open the door or to see what we needed. I remember thinking this was odd.an hour later when they did open at 9 I went in and talk to the man in charge. He had come down to the service department in anticipation of our service call. The man in charge, and I wish I would have got his name. I didnt however. Immediately informed me that it would be at least two weeks before he could even see my vehicle. I told him that we were here to assist with the fire and we couldnt help the way the truck was. Said he was sorry and even though it was an emergency vehicle he couldnt help us. Event directed us to the Ken Fowler dealership. I remember feeling stunned, here was the Chevrolet dealership turning down their own truck, which was there only to assist local fire departments, and sending us to a Subaru dealership. As I entered the Ken Fowler dealership my confidence in Californians support was definitely starting to waver. However I couldnt have been more wrong. As I approached the service department a gentleman I believe was Ken Fowler came over to listen. when the service manager informed me that it would be at least a week before they could get me in as they were booked solid, Mr. Fowler immediately stepped in and corrected him. Saying that they would see me right now and fix the truck, ASAP. This was the best news Ive had all week is this and put us back in the fight. Why we made the long trip down to begin with. He personally went and got a computer came over and diagnose my truck and somehow fixed it. We were back on shift in no time.Even though it was our final shift and we were relieved and demobilzed at the end of the day I couldnt have more respect for Ken Fowlers dealership. The fact that they stepped up worked on a Chevrolet when the local Chevy dealorship wouldnt. Wow! Putting themselves in a worse time crunch with their customers. Still keeping their eyes what was important. Protecting local homeowners and landowners from what could have been another catastrophic wildfire. If I am ever in Ukiah and shopping for a car theres no doubt in my mind Ill be going to Ken Fowlers dealership. If I was a local citizen I would as well. Thanks Ken Fowlers Subaru!

Yesterday, when it was after hours, my subaru locked me out, and put the car in antitheft panic mode, which meant that the horn continuously honked, and i was unable to start my car. trouble began when battery in key fob was low. i replaced the battery, but car still wouldnt starttwo hours later, when tracy, a lady driver for all in one towing deposited the car in the parking lot of KEN FOWLER SUBARU.while i was filling out the paperwork to leave my car, tracy decide to google!in two minutes, she figured out how to reprogram m key fob, and i was able to drive myself home.before she fixed it, she offered to drive me all the way home to mann ranch, even thought she had already been working in 100o+ heat for 13 hours, just because she didnt want me to hitch hike to get home.WOW! what a great lady.today, i called subaru ken fowler, and was told it would cost me $91 for another fob, (82$ at autozone) and an additional $230 to program it, with their special electronic programmer machineamazon sells one for 16$-30$, and you can reprogram it yourself. when i told this to ken fowlers the man said, oh well, he had never heard of such a thing, and good luck with that, because it would probably deprogram itself soon....such is the dealership! another car, a nice legacy, which needed a big repair : they said it was worth$200, and needed to be junked. so, i sold it to a friend for $200, because i had to go to memphis, and needed one with an automatic transmission, because my leg had been in a cast, and i couldnt shift. it is still on the road ten years later. such is ken fowlers!if you know anyone else who has a subaru, please send them this. sheesh...
