Great customer service and fair prices. The owner and everyone who works there are very nice and helpful. They’ve answered all my questions and concerns. There are closer bike shops near me but I trust union cycle center more. Highly recommend.

This is the best bike shop I know of and Ive been to a lot. They have a surprisingly good variety of bikes and gear for such a small store and the service is always smart, fast and affordable! George went above and beyond to fix my old bike today and now its riding like new! Ill always come back here.

This is a local bicycle shop that does great work. The owner Jorge goes out of his way to help you get your bike back on the road. I brought in two rims from an old Diamondback bike, the rear rim had some damage from a collision I had, couple of bent spokes and one missing. He was able to straighten it out, I thought I was going to have to buy a new one. He managed to fix it for me and even replaced the plastic guard on the rear rim that was broken and beaten up from wear and tear. He also replace two tires for me and was done within an hour. It’s not a very large store but he has a lot of parts and of course he has a good selections of regular mountain bikes to a good selection of E Bikes. It’s definitely worth checking them out next time your in need of parts, repair or purchasing a new bike.

I been going to this shop since I was a kid....very respectful very knowledgeable....he can fix ANYTHING.....n the price very very very fare...n great selection of bikes n accessories....I recommend this shop to everyone....ok farewell

Ive been getting bikes repaired here for years. The owner, George, is honest, hard working and always gives a fair price. The mechanic, Kareem, is fast and extremely capable. His knowledge extends across all bikes (including e-bikes). This bike shop is the treasure of the neighborhood!

The only place I go for a new bike or for a tuneup. George is great and always gets me back on the road quickly.

George and Helen are amazing! From my first interaction with George over the phone I knew right away that this is the place I wanted to get my E-bike fixed. Thats right I said E-bike! He wasnt familiar with my make and model but still told me he would take a look at it. He is a master of his trade. I brought in my bike and he fixed my derailleur. Bike was tuned and and ready to go within a few hours. I believe bike shops are in principle the same as finding a mechanic. Someone you trust with your most prized possession. Super friendly folks, extremely knowledge and experienced. I know Ill be coming here for all of my biking needs, Thanks guys! Shop is nice, I would only suggest having more E-bike options just for variety.

Small shop, but packed with most of what you need. Most every time Ive gone to get something for my e-bike, they have it. And they sell a Biria e-bike that looks great.They also service bikes, very convenient for the Union City area.And the staff are friendly, polite, helpful!

This bike shop is the best one around here and you won’t regret it at all. I brought my bike here so it could get assembled and it only took an hour which is crazy. Other bike shops told me it would take a day or two. The next day I needed help putting something on the bike and they told me to come by and when I arrived the man stopped whatever he was doing to help me out and he didn’t charge me. The service here is amazing as well and trust me your bicycle will be in great shape after you take it to this shop.

Bought my State core line fixie here, when I went out to try it, the cog kept skipping so I went back in, told them whats wrong, and they fixed it! Friendly staff and a happy customer! 10 out of 10 Thank you Union Cycle

Great. I was going to fix my fixed gear bike a flat tire once I went in he told me a 45 minutes wait told him that was two long and wait straight to fix my bike and was don in 5 minutes. Will be sure to come here next time to fix my bike

I was on an errand today from Hoboken when the chain on my single speed bike broke off about a mile from this shop. I found them online and popped by hoping they could take care of it. I believe it was the owners who helped me out and they could not have been more wonderful. They were busy but they still managed to help me out in a hurry, and I think the new chain is even better than my old one! Thank you so much for your assistance today Union Cycle Shop! He only cares about selling the bike and everything after that will cost you and he will be rude to you. very very poor behaviour.Replying to the owners answer below: Next time maybe when someone comes to your store for service dont just discard them off or reply with a smart alec response like you just dont know! Maybe spend sometime listening to the problem instead of laughing it out with your staff. You might be in business forever but your behaviour does not exhibit any courtesy. You cannot just pretend to repair the bike while making it worse. Just so we are reliant on you. If you want money state the charges clearly in the beginning. Writing responses here will not help!

GIANT bikes dealer, got a hybrid 4 years ago, decent for the price range that I was looking for . Tune up and prices accordingly to the area . Straightforward owner, do not ask too many silly questions 🙄. I may go back to get a new one. Suggestions create a website not in Facebook anymore and no way to see stock . Thanks.

A good friend and eager MTB amateur sent his brand new 3k Giant MTB for assembly to this shop. He came to visit over the weekend, while riding, we found the dropper post to be incorrectly installed and non-functional. My dear friend was thinking the dropper worked by adjusting height as he went, instead of the normal and practical use of a dropper post. His tubeless tires did not have ANY sealant, his gears weren’t adjusted properly and the brakes were flimsy... Such a beautiful bike to be proud of building and showing a first timer how to get down on his new slick and capable trail shredder. Poor performance by the mechanics and whoever handed him his brand new “semi-assembled” MTB. Hence, this shop is not recommended.

Great customer service BEST PRICE on the work I needed done and very nice staff. I went in to get my new bicycle assembled and switched from fixed gear to single speed. They had it done in less than a half hour and answered any questions I had. I would definitely recommend this place !!

CHEAP parts and service, poor customer service skills.

I brought in a new road bike to get assembled, and they explained a lot of maintenance tips and recommended future upgrades and cycling routes.

These guys are awesome! They set me up with my first road bike without a problem - super helpful and attentive to what I needed and any questions I had! I definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a new bike/repairs/accessories/anything. These guys know their stuff.
