They have a good selection of trading cards, comic books, and other merchandise at Amazing Heroes. The owner is friendly and will put in certain orders if youre looking for something specific.I remember getting tons of booster packs here during my college days. If youd like to pick out singles instead of trying your luck with booster packs, they have a number of binders you can look through.If youre just getting into collecting cards you can pick up sleeves and binders here as well. As someone who is really into Pokémon card collecting, its always a treat when I stop by here. I even picked up a Burger King toy from 1999 here the other week. They have a nice selection of both old and new merchandise.If you are a card or comic book collector I highly recommend you stop by Amazing Heroes.

I come here a lot, as a pokemon Collector its nice to see this shop always in stock when it comes to pokemon items. Ofcourse they have many other wonderful goodies. A something for everyone kinda store.. The owner has a wonderful goofy personality and his shop is clean and neatly organized. 100% would check this little gem out.

ANYONE SELLING A COLLECTION BEWARE OF DOING SO HEREHaving brought in a card clllection which I knew to be worth several thousand dollars at min, the Owner/manager, who was a friendly guy, don’t get me wrong, looked thru the boxes carefully enough that he certainly managed to ascertain what cards were in there, even going so far as the specifically look up many of the Individual cards.After over 30-40 min of doing this, He offered less then $200 total for the entire collection.For comparison sake, the collection was brought to 3 other reputable shops and appraisers in this same area. all 3 other owners/managers readily offered $200 less than 25 cards, out of the collection of more than 500 cards of significant value.I asked the other 3 what they’d make of another owner/industry knowledgeable person offering under $200 for ALL of the many hundreds of valuable cards in the collection.The reply across the board was 1 of 2 things: either incompetence, in which case you would never want this shop evaluating your collections value; or total scammery, in which case the shop knowingly tried to get a multi-thousand dollar collection for under $200.BEWARE.

Went there for the first time today and was overwhelmed by their selection. Its like a trip down memory lane. Its totally an old-school comic/collectables store that operates under the golden rule of what you give is what you get. If you are nice, then that is what youll get...have an attitude? Well, I bet youll get that back with interest. Super nice owner who was respectful, down to Earth, kind and REAL...qualities that are quickly disappearing in this all-too-sterilized world. Support them, we NEED places like this!

An absolute embarrassment. The owner of this store was beyond disrespectful. i called and asked if he had pokemon cards. His responses were disrespectful and beyond unprofessional... some responses included “why dont u come down here and find out.. and i dont have time to answer your questions. And i have customers that spend money here i dont have time for you”... I had previously visited the store earlier in the week and spent well over 400$ and he was clearly unaware. I wouldnt give this place another dime. What a shame shame shameful store. In all **** these guys!!

Seems like a fine comic store, but the owner didn’t update his pricing on the sports cards and tried to up charge me over eBay comps on nearly every one I picked out.Not very professional honestly.

This shop is over priced in my opinion. There is a good variety but all of the Pokémon product seems to be in line with the highest prices on eBay. Even the single cards binder has cards that aren’t in the best condition for the price of near mint cards online. I understand a business has to make money but when you’re paying wholesale prices and still charging the same as scalpers online, it’s going to drive people away. For example the charizard deck costs 12.99 retail (even less wholesale) and I believe this shop has it for $40 (maybe $30). I can have the same products delivered to my door for even cheaper sometimes. It sucks because there are so few local card stores left but with these prices it kind of ruins the local card store experience we all grew up loving. The owner is very knowledgeable/helpful so that is a plus.

I guess that’s because I’m a 30 year old guy with an open sense of humor and don’t mind random conversation.... AND...I’m not an overly “sensitive about everything” millennial, sorry to the other reviewers, your soft. Anyway, I went to look for Pokémon and Magic card products. Steve the owner had a nice variety for both, along with other card selections for Yugioh, Argent Saga, Cardfight Vanguard, and others. He and 2 other men in the store were friendly and welcoming. They spoke to me about a few events the store had coming up. He had quite a few products I hadn’t seen before, so I purchased a few. The stores pricing is average for anywhere you go, but more variety, so it’s a win-win. ILL BE BACK -Arnold.

This is a top-tier comic shop. It has an excellent collection of new and old comics, trade paperbacks (TPBs), figurines and more. The store is well organized, roomy and everything you would expect in a classic comic shop.Steve, the owner, knows comics well and can provide valuable guidance and information. Prices are reasonable, (though I wish there were more bargains) and the stock is high quality and in some cases, unique. I picked up some things I was looking for that I hadnt seen in other shops. Check Amazing Heroes out if you are in NJ. Its worth the visit.

The store has a great selection of books, statues and card products. Every time I have gone it I have found something to purchase. The owner on the other hand is very well versed on the industry but his customer service is very poor. Condescending comments and the reply to the previous review about yugioh show his attitude. If you do not agree with him or like something he does not like then your opinion does not matter.

I love this store. They Friday night magic always has a nice turn out the owners are nice and caring. Their prices are competitive. Their stock is large and they always have the packs Im looking for in stock. The customers are also friendly. All and all, I love it. Steve is one of the owners and he is super friendly, and funny too.

When there a day ago and was not a fan of the man that helped us. He was a heavy set man with a big beard. He was not helpful and honestly just Rude! I went with my boyfriend and his cousins, while they were looking for cards and asking some questions on which set of cards the store had,etc. The man proceeded to tell them that they should play a “Real Game” like Magic the gathering, because my bf and his cousins were looking at Yu-Gi-Oh cards. It’s totally fine to have your opinion sir but maybe when trying to make sales you keep it to yourself and don’t insult the game that your potential customers are asking about. It was very off putting and honestly just disgusting behavior from the man working at the shop.

Great selection store is much larger than others locally, customer service is through the roof with everyone for free comic book day! Spent a over $100 on the quality and collection they have available highly recommend.

This is my favorite place to shop comics, action figures, statues, graphic novels and many more. This place has a great selection of comics not just marvel and dc. It has tons of indi comics from different companies like Image, aftershock, dark horse, valiant....etc. if you are a card collector this is your place. The owner is very nice, he also lets you reserve your copies. You can pick your copies the next day or even weeks after the release day. Of course after a couple weeks he will give you a call and ask if you still want to keep your copies. This is amazing. Specially for people like me that doesnt have the time to go every Wednesday.... comic is life.

Good Store if you are into comics, not for sports cards and memorabilia. The have lots of nice boxes, but only basic packs. Some of the cards there are very nice but a little over priced. The inventory is very messy, and prices are not clearly labeled.

Top three reasons this is the worst comic book shop in the area:1) The comic books sit on metal grates, so every book is slightly dented and damaged on the bottom.2) Any hot books are immediately PULLED ON RELEASE DAY and unavailable, unless you either pay the owners above-Ebay-prices, or jump through the owners exorbitant purchase hoops in order to buy one for retail price.3) The owner is extremely rude and callous.There are many great comic book stores in the area. Save yourself the headache and avoid this store.

Very good selection of comics

Not kid friendly!!!!! The owner cusses with his friends and cussed about my kids in his store!!! The monthlies are mostly teen/adult titles with mildly pornographic covers and cuss words and graphic violence inside. All on display on the walls for the kids.I took my two boys there last week to get a few books. The selection of clean titles is slim, and the owner was busy talking to other customers (hanging out, talking shop, using cuss words we can hear across the store). So it took us 20 minutes or so to choose books. We were ready to check out when the owner and his last friend/customer are walking through the store and I hear him getting upset and huffy because we left a few books out (rather than accurately alphabetically re shelve every book we looked at, we left a few flat on top of others for him to re shelve). Talking to his friend about us so we could hear: guess I need a sign up to have peoples mothers follow them around to clean up after them. If he is such a jerk, how about just a sign that says please reshelve books? Then he steps back and cusses to his friend about my 10 year old because when my son DID reshelve a book it pushed through a few books on the opposite shelf onto the floor, which I picked up and lay flat near where they were. He had the nerve to CUSS about a 10 year old who is there buying books!!!I wanted to knock him out, but left the store immediately and will never go back. Hope he goes out of business.The store is mostly tpb graphic novels. Not a good selection of kid friendly titles or classic reprints at all. This was my third and last visit. The first two were passable, he recommended some titles and offered to order stuff for us. And he was good about that. But true colors were revealed when his regular customers came in. Sociopaths.Maybe an ok store, three stars, if you are a grown man comic tpb collector who likes recent mainstream titles and cartoon porn.

Went there today to purchase a comic book for my son. Hours say 12-8 p.m. I was there at 1 p.m. Closed up tight. Lights out. Not open. Will never go there again!
