First timer. I went alone and was a little anxious when I walked in. I was welcomed with a smile by the guy at the counter by the front door. I went to the check in counter and told them I had an a training class appointment. They were really friendly and checked me in quickly. My instructor was Ray and he was so patient and made me feel comfortable and at ease. He encouraged me to ask questions and reassured me that no there are no dumb questions.. He went over range rules and safety and gave me tips which really helped. I had such a great experience and look forward to going back soon. Great place, great people. Highly recommend!

Hands Down Best Birthday Ever. The RTSP team did a Great Job helping us. They answered all our crazy questions. Most of all we all made it out alive. Thanks Mathew for being a great instructor. I cant forget Jose at the check in for helping us pick the guns we asked him so many questions but he never lose his cool. Guys were so nice and patient. First time ever doing something like this before and my god were they so insightful. From the time I went in to the check in select a fire arm then to the actual range. Amazing range! One of the best I’ve been to. They take range safety seriously and are extremely helpful and kind. I saw them helping out new shooters too and they were very patient and informative. Great, clean facility. Ample parking and lots of selections. Wish they had a little more accessories but other than that, fantastic! Will definitely go back!!!

This is the first range I visited after getting my permit. They have a nice sales floor, they sell everything you need here. Even though I did not purchase from here, I did use the range 3 times and took a course with Chucky. #1 priority here is safety so they teach everything you need to know from basics to advanced. Definitely a 5 star facility!!

Great first experience coming here. They took my name down for the gun store as the sales person was busy. I looked around while i waited. When it was my turn they called my cell phone to let me know they were available to assist me. The facility looks great and has a comfortable atmosphere. T. My mother-in-law got me a yearly membership to this range and it is absolutely worth every penny! From the friendly staff to the clean ranges, there’s not much more you can ask for and if you need instructions/lessons they have them there as well.

My daughter and I went to RTSP today to celebrate our birthdays. Neither of us had ever fired a gun before. The entire experience from the greeting at the front door to the staff at the counter that got us the proper gun/ ammo/ protective gear, to our awesome instructor, Jessie. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly, there was nothing intimidating about being there at all. I highly recommend to everyone. Thanks RTSP and Jessie for a memorable experience. A great place for anyone to shoot no matter the level of experience. The store and range are kept clean. The staff are professional. The safety range officers are helpful. Everyone there works as a team to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction. Although, it is a tad difficult to bring a large group of people because of Covid-19, if you visit by yourself or with a small group, the wait time is decent. This location is very popular, has a modern design, and is a place to have fun in a safe manner.

Very nice range. Everybody was friendly I actually left one of my magazines behind and one of the range guys cane out to find me and handed it to me. We’ll be going back. We’ll also give the other location a try, but we were very happy with our visit to the Union location.

I waited in line after a gentleman while the cashier ignored me and rushed over to serve two others that had just walked in AND on the other side of the room. He saw them and conveniently didn’t see my immediate presence. I can’t help but notice the number of responses to the complaints on this page. This is firearm training but maybe there needs to be proactive training in customer service to limit the amount of cleanup.

I am a member at RTSP Union and while Ive had great experiences with both the sales team and range staff, I couldnt be more disappointed with the gunsmith. I purchased a handgun over two months ago and am still waiting for the magazines to be pinned. In addition, I went there this Saturday to have some work done on my shotgun (he wasnt accepting new jobs the last time I went) and waited nearly two and half hours for the gunsmith to show up. He was supposed to be in at 9am and still wasnt there when I finally left at 11:20am. The sales staff did their best as they could tell I was getting frustrated but it seems he comes and goes whenever he wants. Its very frustrating that I belong to a range and will now be going elsewhere for any gunsmith work.9/22 Update: Brad, thank you for your quick response. I now have the magazines and my shotgun is being worked on.

So much fun! Very educational and safe. Went today Sunday 6/13/21 at bay 38 in the morning and the range safety officers were very helpful and informative. Can’t remember the names of them but they def helped make me feel comfortable and eased my nerves for it being my first time. 10/10

Visited RTSP in Union NJ this evening to purchase a new firearm. Billy the salesperson was extremely knowledgeable and very good at his job. He was patient and informative and explained different features and variations of multiple different pistols that I was interested in. I decided to purchase my first polymer gun today and look forward to picking it up later this week. Will definitely buy here again.

The instructor Tom was Excellent. He was very patient and helpful to me and my son. The sales part of the experience was a little difficult. Overall had a good experience.

They are very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Mostly everyone goes above and beyond to make sure you have a great experience. I am differently going back.

Read about this range on Google and reviews were great as well as the photos. I took my daughter there today and I will say I will be coming back, and my daughter says this is her favorite range. The staff was friendly and professional, when we got into the range area there were range safety officers clearly identified. They kept the range clean of brass and trash. And also they were helpful and friendly and made sure everyone was safe while enjoying the range. No one was on top of each other and the ventilation was outstanding. If you want a good time and safe a clean environment while on the range I encourage you to calm here.

I purchased my first firearm. I had it about 7 months before I decided to actually learn how to use it. I went to RTSP because I had gone to Freight Tools in the past and noticed that RTSP was next door. I started the process online. It was very easy. When I got there it was a short wait. When it was my turn the staff was amazing. They answered all my questions, that kinda put my mind at ease. My safety officer was Devin. I cant say enough about how helpful he was. He was patient. He was knowledgeable of the firearm. He offered helpful suggestions to improve my grip. Most importantly he instructed me as to how to safely use and store my firearm. Devin make my first experience at the range a good one. Because of his engagement and commitment to to his profession I know how to be a safe and responsible gun owner.

Great range. Very clean. Climate controlled. Front desk staff were friendly and knowledgeable. RSOs were friendly and also knowledgeable. They were not over bearing yet offered great tips to a new shooter in our group. I would recommend this range. Make sure you sign waiver in advance to speed up the process for first timers.

Had an absolutely great experience after bringing 6 new shooters with me. The range safety officers are extremely helpful and a good time to talk too. It’s clear they love what they do and are always open to help those who are in need of some pointers on how to better handle a weapon.

Great range with excellent staff. I had just picked up my firearm, a revolver, and took it to the range to try it out. Very clean range and we also got an instructor for 15 minutes to get us familiar with the new firearm as my wife was a bit nervous. They made us feel safe the entire time and really took the time to make us comfortable. Highly recommend this place and glad I have such an awesome range just 10 minutes away.

This was the best experience. I haven’t been to a range in years. I should have got one with a grip to help with my breathing but still great time. The staff is super helpful and hands on. Safest gun range for 1st timers. It’s a bit pricey but it’s the quality of the experience you pay for that makes it worth it. Will be coming back.

My second time at a gun range, my first time at RTSP. I had such a wonderful experience.We decided to shoot handguns and I was very nervous. The gun safety officers were so helpful and supportive. Facility was impeccably clean, check in was seamless and every single staff member was helpful, knowledgeable, friendly & professional. Our instructor Alex was amazing! Went out of his way to make sure we had every second of our time and went above & beyond in his instruction. Was wonderful with my sister whose 1st time it was and although she was afraid, now she wants to go once a month. Great laughs also!! Highly recommend!

One of the best ranges Ive been to! Great experence from the stalls to staff!!

The range itself is fantastic. Modern good staff. But this place is not managed well. Ive been a member for a little while, but its hard to get to a port. I go early the place is packed. Its the same thing we got your name, go to your car and wait me and other people are waiting up to an hour! Even when you get in, you have to wait. Im a member, but getting to a port is a nightmare. They have members and non-members waiting on the same line. Non-members have to go through a long process (ID, photo, address... Then they have to pick out a gun). Members that are paying hundreds a year shouldnt have to go through that. It should be two lines. Members and non-members.. Two or more people at the counter taking care of both. . When the member line gets empty, just say Ill take the next person here. Probably a non-member, thats OK. But when a member gets on the member line.... And they finish taking care of the non-members.... Take the member on the member line. Come on. Its that simple. I will not be renewing here.

Very large facility, plenty of help if needed in the range. Nice gun store and supplies you can buy/rent. Waited (what was supposed to be 1.5hrs) but got in to shoot in just over an hour on a busy sunday. But unlike other ranges where you wait there you can leave and they call your cell for your turn. So you can get food or do something local while you wait. Only downside I don’t care for (like most other indoor ranges), is you only get one hour increments and one hour goes very fast when you bring somebody with you. It would be great if you could get an hour and a half instead. And other then that the only actual complaint is the facility is very clean but the bathroom had ripped up paper towels all over the ground in the bathroom so it looked like a total mess. Other then that, great place! Definitely will go back (but probably during the week so it’s less crowded)

This was our first time at RTSP and we came for a private 2-hour lesson with Reggie. I cant say enough good things about the experience. Reggie is a top notch instructor with practical experience and great teaching skills. The range is modern, clean, and high-tech. Safety seemed to be a top priority for the organization and we were pleased to see lots of procedures in place to make sure that everyone stayed safe. I would HIGHLY recommend Reggie for instruction!

Today was my first time there. Super clean range and retail area. All the range officers were beyond amazing and more than accommodating. Any question I had they took their time to answer them. The guy Walt behind the retail counter where we got our targets and ammo was amazing and beyond friendly. Will definitely be going back !

Came by to get work done on my rifle. Scott the gunsmith took his time to explain things thoroughly and help me sight in my scope. I will be bringing my rifle here for gunsmith work in the future and highly recommend. Refreshing to deal with a gunsmith who didnt act like a know it all or have an attitude. Thanks Scott.

My party decided to do a walk-in as the website states reservations are not accepted. Upon arrival, the receptionist took 2 of our phone numbers and told us to wait in our car to be called. Right before leaving, we decided to ask how long the wait time would be, and he answered 2 hours! Keep in mind he never would have told us this if we didnt ask. That was the first red flag. We decided, because weve driven pretty far to get here, that we would wait out the 2 hours by hanging out at a nearby restaurant. 2 hours passed and NONE of us ever received a phone call. Second red flag. We go back and mention how weve been waiting 2 hours already, and that same receptionist tells us that well be able to enter if we wait another 15 minutes. Luckily for us, another staff member close by saw this and said that theyd be able let to us come in immediately. This, combined with aforementioned red flags, suggests to me that the receptionist was deliberately keeping us from entering the range.I am absolutely sure he had no valid reason for this - we were first time customers, and our interactions with him were entirely cordial. My theory is that he had some kind of baseless preconceived notion about my group, but theres nothing we can do about that now..At this point, there was already less than hour before the range closed, even though we came with the intent of paying for an entire hour. After waiting more in another line, purchasing the rentals and taking the introductory courses, we had 10 minutes to actually use the ports

This was my second time in Union, Love the place, clean, and the safety officers are very alert and always on top of things making sure everything ran smooth..just wished I would of remembered getting my DL before leaving, Drove all the way home and then got a call stating I didnt get my ID on the way out. Next day I drove back to retrieve my DL🤫Ooops. Definitely will be going back though.. Thank you RTSP staff members, keep up the good 👍🤙✌

Young women interested in self defense - listen up! I took the Intro to Handgun course with Jerry M. at the Randolph location and would highly recommend! Jerry began the course in the classroom, starting with a visual presentation. The time we spent just talking through the basics helped me identify a few techniques I could use to use to improve my accuracy. As a new firearms owner, Jerry made me feel super comfortable asking any type of question - from sighting, to range safety, to the mechanics of a cartridge, to the process of protecting myself in the event of a home invasion, and everything in between. Then it was time to hit the range. Jerry was ON IT! He was picking up on inaccuracies that I would otherwise have never known about. He was an encouraging and very clear communicator - his methods of instruction are straight forward, I never once felt confused or discouraged by his feedback.I left the range that day feeling more confident in my ability to defend myself than I did walking in. Thank you, RTSP, for providing young women a practical place to learn about self protection and gun safety.

This was my first time at this range and I had a really great experience. From beginning to end everything is laid out to make the process as easy and simple as possible. The staff were all very kind and helpful. The range instructor helped me correct and get better grouping. And for anyone worried about pricing, its worth every dollar spent. Although all the staff, prior to entering, are very polite & knowledgeable, it takes about 20-30 min of verifying ID, watching a video on your IPhone & filling out endless paperwork before you’re allowed to enter the range. This experience was to be enjoyable but it was anything but! The older Security Officer kept screaming at everything; he needs to say things calmly or get another job. There’s no need to make patrons more nervous handling firearms.

Me and my boyfriend came in to the Union location for his birthday and we had a blast. At first I was a bit scared cuz I didn’t know what to expect as it was our first time, however since the moment we got in until we left I felt really safe, the instructor Tom took his time explaining to us how to properly use the fire guns and was really patient and nice, he stood around the whole time in case we had any questions. We really enjoyed it, definitely coming back soon!

Dont have much to judge against but I cant imagine a nicer, shinier place to get your first experience with an indoor range. Everyone is helpful and helps first timers as if they were regulars. Reggie was great for my first lesson, and seeing other instructors at work I cant imagine you would go wrong with any of them. Special shout out to the RSOs, who have their eyes on everyones safety at all times.

First time at the range with a new gun. Tom, one of the safety officers was absolutely fantastic. He also noted the site was off on the gun and sent me over to the in-house gun smith, cant remember his name, but he fixed it, no charge. What a great place!

Check in staff was friendly and helpful but some of the range officers were very short and arrogant complaining about being hit with a shell that ricocheted off the wall clearly it was unintentional and could not be helped then began berating me about it not a good experience from then on out definitely reconsidering my membership there.

I almost hate to review this place. Its gonna get a lot of great reviews and then crowded for sure. But I guess thats what happens when you do, literally, everything right! This place (and the people) blew me away.Beautiful facility. I mean, in every way. Great displays. Big, open space. Well lit. Range has multiple light intensities - bright where you want, not so bright where you dont. ONE THING - not the easiest to see from the road. Look for the Wash Hounds sign - RTSP is the driveway immediately east of itThe guys working there know their stuff. They dont have the I know more than you demeanor 99% of all gun store guys have. In fact, I had an Aussie expat (Zee, I think his name was) take me through the process and rules. All very simple. He was very thorough and knowledgeable about gun laws (as much as a reasonably sane person can be these days).The firearms. HUGE assortment of store guns you can rent for the range. This blew me away, too. Rifles, pistols, all calibers. Something that really impressed me was that one of them was a Smith Victory .22. But they have all the canons, too. The rentals in my pix have yellow tags. The pix are a small sample of whats available.Theres a coffee shop, comfy places to sit, instructional video . . . it just goes on and on. Prices . . . kinda steep for the ammo if youre going to rent. But thats about par for the course. One really reasonable thing - if you do gun rental, you can switch out during your session at no extra charge. Rent a 9mm Glock, switch to something else after a while, etc.If youre a beginner or just curious about what guns and shooting are all about, this is the place for you! Youre gonna have a great time and be in good hands.

Attended First Shots Course with my father and my 13 yr. old son. Fantastic experience- very informative class and super attentive hands-on training in range by Instructor James and Range Safety Officer Kenny. Instructor James was terrific- extremely knowledgeable, and was very patient and supportive in his teaching style. Range Safety Officer Kenny was amazing as well- not only did he create a safe and secure atmosphere for the entire class, but he assisted my son in an encouraging and personable manner, making the experience a positive one that we will always remember. My first visit to one of New Jersey’s newest gun range. A modern facility that is nice and clean. A lot of training classes offered. They have coffee too. I knocked off a star because it is a little pricey $$$. For 30 minutes and one target it cost me $19.00. It’s worth it. I’m going to consider the membership. What really stood out most was the overall service and assistance by all the team members from the time I walked in the door. Staff were pleasant and pointed me in the right direction. While firing my glock (10,000+ rounds) on the range I had a malfunction that required an armor to repair. It was safely repaired and back up within ten minutes. Thank you RTSP. Enjoy!
