Ive been here twice now. Both times, these guys have done excellent work and were very thorough, professional, friendly and knowledgeable. They actually listen, make sure you understand what they did and what you need (and dont need). Ive never had an auto service center tell me they didnt want to sell me something I didnt need, which is refreshing to say the least! I will be bringing my vehicles here as long as this shop is open. I was reading the really nice comments a few customers documented on Facebook about D & M Service Center, and decided to schedule in an electrical issue I was having with my 2012 Chevrolet Impala, along with a synthetic lube, oil and filter change.The mechanics and office staff members of D & M Service Center are some of the most honest people I have observed in the auto service industry.My intentions are to be repeat customers with my Chevrolet Impala, as well as with my wifes Jeep Cherokee, on a regular basis.In closing, my grandfather once said, A great team of mechanics is never expensive---a great team of mechanics is priceless.

Absolutely excellent shop! I was nervous to take my car somewhere after another shop did me wrong. I couldnt be more thankful I took my car here. They took the time to have conversation, and really care about concerns and budget. Didnt push anything and simply gave me the facts. Johnny was really nice and went as far to bring in a part from the shop to show me exactly what they were referring to about repairs etc. I left the shop after getting an alignment with new information about what else is wrong, and time to save for my repair. They gave me knowledge, a sense of comfort, and reassurance. No other shop Ill take my car to after visiting D & M! I left the shop HAPPY! Where else do you leave an auto shop happy? The Team at D&M are of the finest quality, I had no heat in my truck, And as you know most of the time you need air conditioning in TexasWell to make a long story short we determined it was a bad heater core and if anyone knows about that you know it is a long and tedious job the complete Dashboard has to be removed No problem for the best mechanics on earth to take care of the situation not only did I recieve Prompt Courteous and Honest Service but they also repaired at a very fair price actually going on to make other repairs that they deemed necessary for my safety i will always use their Services and i thank them so much for everything they do. SIMPLY THE VERY BEST AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEIR SERVICES.......

I am very satisfied with the service I received here. This was the second place I brought my car for AC repair. The first place I went to (which had great reviews) was unable to diagnose the problem. They told me it would cost almost $1000 and they werent even sure it would fix the problem. Then I brought my car to D&M. No appointment was needed. I just dropped off my car and within a couple hours they had identified and fixed the problem, for a great price as well! Very happy to have a working AC now that the Texas heat is coming back. Jacob is outstanding. Been there for 5 years I an establishment that been in Universal City for over 40 years. I brought it in for a safety inspection and they took care of it without a hitch. This is a full service gas station that does everything! Been here since ‘62. There were issues with my car but Aaron, the manager, handled them all. I’d left for a few minutes to go to a breakfast place and he came over to give me an update on what was needed to be done. Wonderful service. I’ve been looking for a new auto-repair person and this shop has my business. Military friendly, affiliated with Johnny’s who been here for 40 years, family owned. Would not let me pay until all things were tested and working properly as I waited for a battery the car needed arrived. Pure word of mouth are their main source of advertising for business! Got my business!!

We were so happy with their great service, caring attitude, and help in this short-term contract that was so easy with prior online information and ability to schedule a truck that met our needs at great price. We then followed up by phone confirmation, and next morning arrived as they were opening. This worked great for us, and we know they have been in business many years with great ratings and positive feedback. We moved furniture from Boerne, Texas to San Antonio and Live Oak, Texas, then back to Universal City, all within their business hours. It was great we had option to drop off truck and keys securely after hours in case we needed 24 hours, but we were thrilled we finished loading and dropping off so quickly. Highly recommend D&M Service!

Theyve taken care of my family and my car for a while now. There service is great and have great customer service. And beat competitors price most of the time! 10/10 would recommend.Only one con to this place and its that its parking lot is way to small and packed.

This is the only place I trust with my vehicle. They are up front and honest with their service recommendations. They will let you know what needs to be done first for safety, and to protect the engine and what they need to keep en eye on. They stand by their work and are an authorized AC Delco shop, warranting parts and labor for 2 years.

On Monday morning I had my car towed to D&M and they were so supportive. I told them that my car wouldnt start and that my neighbor took me and my car battery to Auto Zone to get the battery checked. When Auto Zone rep told me the battery was fine, I thought it might be the starter that had went out. I told Darren and Paul that I think it might be the starter that went out. They confirmed it. I asked them if I could have the car back by Friday, it would be great. Darren told me they would have my car ready the same day. That was awesome! They even provided transportation to my house and picked me up when the vehicle was ready. These service technicians are phenomenal. They are all about customer service and go the extra mile to help satisfy the customer. I highly recommend D&M for all of your vehicle needs. Thank you D&M for your continued outstanding service! My 2007 van has 190K miles on it and the ONLY times its needed to be serviced (replace radiator, brake job and valve cover gasket) have been in the past year and all three times Ive taken it to D & M. I was referred to them by another reputable mechanic in Universal City who didnt have time to replace my radiator in a hurry but said thats where hed take HIS vehicles if he needed to. I actually called them twice within 3 months to ask about the cost to replace the gasket, with the third time to book the actual appointment. That 3rd time, as soon as I said I was calling to book a valve cover gasket replacement, the gentleman on the phone asked, Susan? Ha ha--they remembered me! They gave me a courtesy ride home (and pick up) when the car was ready. Saved me $25 in Uber fees! I love this business because they are 100% trustworthy. When I had the brakes done, I told them if they found anything else needing to be done to just do it as trying to reach me at work (Im a teacher) can be difficult during the day. Theyve never tacked on unnecessary repairs and have just fixed what was essential. Like I said, my van heretofore had NEVER been in the shop, and I moved here just after it rolled over 100K miles. When I had the first major issue in 2015, I had no idea who I could trust. A friend had been a mechanic at Woodys Garage so I asked them first but they were booked solid and Richard there told me he trusted D & M. I recommend them HIGHLY!!

Overall it was a positive experience butIm giving them 4 stars with a caveat.They were nice and thorough, accurate and honest in one way but they need to be upfront about charging 59.90 for service fee and length of time it will take to diagnose vehicle. I had called my regular mechanics and they were backed up for a week. D&M was the only shop available. First manager said they were able to accept the car I thought they meant that. It was around 3pm when I got the car towed in there so understand it would not be until next day. Its 1 pm next day and not even a call. They did a full inspection of the car which I didnt know they did that at smaller shops. Finally around 3pm they called me that it looked like it was the fuel pump that had been replaced by CarMax a few months ago. He suggested I check with CarMax to see if the previous repairs were under warranty. I appreciate the service managers honesty (Darren) to mention that. Sure enough CarMax found out it was the fuel pump and its under warranty. D&M also found out in the full service inspection that the front breaks need servicing soon. That was a good thing to know.Like I said I think its a good practice to mention that a full inspection will be done and a fee charged

Beware of John Carol owner!!! Used these guys for rear main seal flex plate replacement, and oil pain seal, vehicle leaked oil after I got it back, within 100 miles crank bearings destroyed themselves in motor! The owner John was trying to charge me to fix their mistake!!!! Save yourself the headache stay away from these thieves!!!! Not even worth the one start!!!!

Good, honest mechanics. Weve been having our cars serviced at D&M for about the past 5 years. They are reasonably priced, honest, and great at communicating. Theyll tell you what you can fix yourself; tell you your options if you have any; and they absolutely guarantee their work -- not just locally, but nationally. Theyve fixed four different Hondas, a Volvo, a 1977 El Camino and a Ford truck for us with equal satisfaction. You might find a cheaper mechanic, but none better. I highly recommend these guys!
