The name of the store holds true as there is a large area near the back with fresh seafood. There are a lot of Asian items, but I prefer other stores that sell similar things.

The wide variety of noodles dry and frozen excites me pots,pans, woks,sauces condiments Chinese veggies hot dogs and the seafood things have changed since my last visit its a great place l went looking for udon noodles and noodles for the chicken soup lm making tonight

Overall this store is huge, it would take multiple trips to actually time to observe everything.They have not only Asian, they have Mexican, African, and Filipino, cuisine ingredients.Fish - I bought the lobster and I’m sadden to say it tasted rotten, I am from New England and I can say this Lobster was disturbingly poor.(If your from the coast, there is no hope here .... sadly)Meat - the Pork selection was great.Dairy, they had a special Mexican cheese section which was amazing.Snacks, they obviously had aisles and aisles of incredibly options.Frozen - this is where I think the best options where located they had literally EVERY flavor of dumpling and every noodle and vegetable options.Spices and Sauces - THIS IS THE BEST PLACE FOR SPICES AND SAUCES.

Wow this place is really cool they have everything from China to Mexico to India all kinds of foreign Foods and fish and different kinds of fish and other stuff I highly recommend you check it out its really neat

Great place to get what you need for asian food. From live seafood, vegetables, fruit, several brands of rice, spices, frozen foods from several countries even sell cookware!This is a very popular store with not only Asians but all ethnicities.

This was my first time at this place, did know what to do, asked for help, but the guy behind the counter wasnt help, I asked a customer and after that figured things out. Ill know exactly what to do next time. The cashier was very friendly and helpful 🙂

I found what I was looking for. BOK CHOY and CHINESE BROCCOLI. I was trying to make a new beef meal. Their veggies looked so fresh. I Recently discovered these veggies and a friend told me where to buy them. The store was neat. Be aware it is a seafood place, so the smell was obvious when I entered, but not in a bad way. I was there for veggies, but they have a huge selection of seafood. The cashier was polite and quickly processed my purchase. Good price.

If you can get past the initial smell of the store... They have some awesome finds and fresh seafood! Kinda pricey but for fresh cut fish and crab its worth it.

Excellent bookstore, and I say that having been to plenty across the country. Thoughtful selections, really friendly staff, and just a fun place to visit. If you heard about this place and were considering a visit, Id tell you to not wait as long as I did to set foot in the door.

Where else you going to find ketchup type sauce? pretty much anything you would want when looking for ingredients to make chinese, malaysian, thai, vietnamese food. strong snack selection. even have tortillas for tlayudas!

Amazing selection, far more live seafood than anywhere else in town. The only downside is the aroma, which is exactly what you would expect with the large quantity of seafood.

While there is certainly a good selection of fish, I dont think its worth it. Alright, lets start with the positives. There is an absolutely huge selection of fish and other seafood, from clams to oysters to crayfish to the largest lobsters Ive ever seen. However, the quality of the product leaves something to be desired. A lot of the fish looked to be a few days old, with dry skin and shriveled eyes. There were a lot of dead fish in the live tanks, and dead crayfish in the big crayfish pile they have. The giant lobsters were dead too, and while they looked fresh enough, its never a good idea to buy dead lobster without knowing how long it has been dead for. I even found a solitary blue crab on the floor, which brings me to my next point. The customer service is quite lackluster. The employees seem disinterested and distracted. When I asked the people working there where the hell I was supposed to put this live crab that had been wandering the dirty floors, they just vaguely waved towards the crayfish. As for the other things in the store, theyre not much better. The meat is bloody, greasy, and just seems off. A lot of the fruits and vegetables they have also seem old and disheveled as well. Honestly, it does have a good variety, but exercise caution if buying from here.

Great grocery. Not your regular American grocery store but really just as large. They have many items that you wont likely find many other places, both of Asian origin and Latin American. The produce is fresh and some of the best around with options Ive never seen anywhere else, including Soulard market. The seafood is fresh and there is a wide array of live seafood, as well.

Fresh seafood and just about everything else you need to purchase! Almost a one stop shopping store.

The reviews are right, they do offer a ton of variety. However, I couldnt get past the way the live animals were crawling over their dead counterparts and the dead fish floating in the fresh fish tanks. The environment seemed very unclean and unhealthy. I would love to see conditions improve!

They need to clean that place. Its obvious they arent washing the floors bcuz the place has a horrible smell thats what iont like about them otherwise i like the fresh seafood.

The lights went out today and weird people were walking around in there. The crab prices have gone up to $61 a bag for 5-7 clusters. Use to be $28 for 5-7 clusters. I guess they went up because people in Missouri are getting extra stamps. There is no way Im paying that much for a small bag of crab, we left! Oh, it IS NOT clean and smells in the store!

This market has a great selection of fresh fruits and vegetables! A variety of vegan products (noodles, soy, snacks, etc.). Very clean and excellent customer service.

Dont go inside inside if you are allergic to seafood! This place recks of FISH FISH and MORE FISH! BUT they have EVERYTHING! BEST place to buy OXTAILS.

I love this place! Im becomingpescatarian and this place has all the variety I need for this new lifestyle. Fish, seafood, other exotic foods. Anything you can think of they have it and its all very affordable! Fruits, veggies. Anything! This is the biggest exotic market I have seen in this area. I enjoy shopping here. Only downside is the fish market area. I wish they would keep their live fish in bigger tanks. The size of these fish are huge and they are always packed in these cramped tanks unable to move or barely breathe. They should definitely expand that even if the fish will ultimately be killed, they should still be spaced out.

Great selection of fish and Asian groceries. It is a fish store, with thanks of catfish, trout, and more, so be aware it smells like a fish store. But the selection is really good. Especially for being in the center of the country.

Great seafood selection, the meat department has things you wont find at traditional groceries like Goat, Wild boar and Rabbit. The staff is cheerful and helpful and the prices are amazing.

A very disappointing experience today, July 21, 2021. I bought four big milkfish (among other things), had them cleaned and cut. When I got home, one head and one tail were missing, to my big disappointment. The one who attended to me was the senior looking man. I hope this does not happen again. I will think twice before I buy from the seafood section again.

Cool experience. It smelled weird, but it is a sea food market. I saw a lot of stuff Im not used to seeing. For example we saw a tank full of live swimming turtles, muscles, oysters, lots of fish, goat meat, ox tail, beef blood, freshly cut sugar cane, and vegetables and fruits we didnt know.They have Pineapple Fanta soda in glass bottles. I bought one and it was great. I dont know if I have seen those in the USA. I noticed the price is lower in the soda shelf, than in the front refrigerator.

Its a bit of a dive, but they have bar none, the best sea food variety that Ive personally seen in St Louis. They also have a ton of other ingredients that you probably wont find anywhere else nearby.

While Seafood City does have a large variety of items, some not all of its employees need to brush up on their customer service skills. I asked two workers about a product and I was met with a hand shoeing me away as if I were a fly. As stood there in shock this worker then pointed to the second worker (who was assumed to be the owner) and then he just pointed to the isle. Thankfully there was a nice lady who assisted me (she was a customer.)With that being said, the store needs a good scrubbing, the coolers, floors,and walls. I wont return to this store nor will I suggest this place to friend and colleagues. Ill continue to shop across the street, at the Olive International market (clean) everyone is so 🙂 friendly, prices are fair. Oh they also sell delicious teas.I Would also like to mention I try to support all mom and pop stores, small businesses, that may have been affect by the Covid-19 pandemic. Not Seafood City ☹️

This is the supermarket I had been going to as a little kid! Its big and has a great variety of asian foods and international foods! The super market has a lot of space and the staff are usually really kind. The only downside is that some areas are bit unkempt but the majority of the store is really nice and filled to the brim with inventory! I recommend to go to this super market if you have the time and arent looking for anything to specific!

We bought it today but we didnt notice that it was expired, more than 3 months ago, and full of fungus.

I come here often because it’s between my home and work, but this market is very bad in price labeling. So many items are not correctly priced so you don’t know what you are paying for until you get to a checkout.Yesterday I bought a chicken that clearly marked at $11.99 then at checkout it scan $12.99. I told the cashier it’s $11.99 and it’s in the ads, then she argued that the ads is over, I show her the ads said ending 03/18. Then she said “well I can’t do anything about it”.That’s what customer service you get from this place, they don’t care.I shopped at Olive market just across the street less often than seafood city but seems like most items are clearly marked before you put in the basket.

There’s mold on the ceiling. Most of the aisles are unorganized. Some items are even labeled with pricing. A former shell of the great Seafood City of my childhood.

Between price, selection, location, and product quality, this is my most favorite international market in STL. Great prices, huge selection and average to better than average product quality in a convenient location. Keep an eye on expiration dates for shelf products (never had an issue with their fresh meat/seafood/produce), but otherwise, no complaints!

This place has so much more than seafood. There are aisles and aisles of international food items, a fresh meat counter, as well as a huge seafood section with a wide selection of seafood, both fresh and frozen. The prices are extremely reasonable, making my 30-minute drive to grab shrimp and crab legs well worth it.

This is my go-to place for certain things, like seafood(fresh) and spices. The veggies are pretty reasonable. I have tried some of the other groceries here also, but its kinda hard when you cant read the language! Ive made some good assumptions though!😁 The worst part about this store is that customer service is hard because No One understands what you are saying!!!! They may just be pretending because they dont wanna be bothered, but thats a disturbing thought when I shop here quite often!

The name says it all. If you want seafood, its here. Used to be able to pick your own shrimp, fish & crabs then weigh them but now, due to Covid-19, theres no more self service. Theyve also got a small butcher section but its mostly pork. Fresh produce, frozen food, pots & pans, seasonings are all there. I love shopping there, not just for seafood.Just remember its a Chinese grocery store so youre going to see mostly Chinese food & produce, but thats what I find cool about it.

Poor commination and poorly managed. The employees will tell you something just so you will go away and when confronted later on they appear not to understand what you are talking about although they are fully aware. Ordered 50 lbs of seafood for an event called twice to confirm over a month and upon pickup on the day of the event was told simply they did not have it and offered no explanation or apology.

I come to this market very often for seafood. Sometimes the quality of seafood is good. I can understand you can’t always keep the same quality all the time as we locate in Midwest. However, I purchased squid, shrimp and trouts this week. All of the seafood have very strong smell and taste of bleach or detergent. They all tasted the same after cooking. That’ very gross! If possible, I hope the owner of the market can reply to my review.

My go to place for fresh seafood. Mussels, oysters, shrimp, lobster, crab, all kinds of fish. Not only does it have a fresh market, if youre not familiar with Asian cuisine and products, its like a field trip. Asian seasoning, fruits, veggies and other products. Theres a meat counter as well that has pork, duck, some times goat. Ive seen whole rabbit in the freezer section as well!Beware it does smell like a fresh fish market upon entry but I love the place.

They got everything! From live Catfishs, blue crabs, and lobsters to fresh exotic fruits. It is a fish market so it does smell fishy. A star was taken off for the smell of the place. I think some proper ventilation would be great.UTA: be careful of the seafood products that you purchase. I have not been back since the first visit. I did receive a spoiled fish, which completely turned me off from returning... Stars updated to reflect disappointment.

There are a wide variety of supplies in this store, but the food is not fresh (especially the seafood). I have found foods that have been expired for months. I still go here for Asian snacks and staples, but I always have to make sure to check the quality before I purchase it.

First off, you need to understand that the employees dont speak English as a first language, and that may be a fustrating barrier for them, learn to be patient . Learn what you want exactly. Not just a big fish . Say like, biggest bream you have, or something along those lines. The expectation is to high. Its a fish market. Calm down Karen.

The store is pretty great with a huge selection of goods from all over the world. The problem is the employees attitude towards customers. Any question is met with harsh looks and sharp responses like we shouldnt be there and are disturbing them. I would have spent a lot more money but could not find all the things I wanted and asking didnt help me. Teach your employees it should be their honor and duty to assist customers with a smile.

This was my first time here and it wasnt quite what I expected. I thought it was going to be just a huge seafood market type store. There is a good selection, and the pricing seemed pretty good in most areas, but the fresh food sections didnt look or smell clean to me. I expected a seafood smell, which I dont mind at all, but this wasnt that.

Poor customer handling. The employees at the fish/seafood section never pays attention to what the customer asks. For example, When i ask them to pick a big size fish from the fresh water, they just ignore with laziness and show attitude and ask me to take what they give or just get out of that place. When I am paying the price for what they ask, they treat the customer as if they are servicing for free. I just stopped going to this place for more than year ago and never recommend this place due to poor attitude of the employees behind seafood section. These comments are written with not just one visit, this is my experience with this store for past 3 consecutive years. They never changed. Pathetic. I am sure most customers who had an experience with seafood section at this store, would agree with my comments.
