I had a flat tire going to work this morning at 4am. A co-worker recommend me this place and called them to make sure if they welcomed walk-ins before going in. I talked to Adam and he was super kind to squeeze me in during their busy day. Good service, fixed my tire and didnt have to wait that long! I will definitely come back to them now!

By far the best auto shop Ive been to in the Tacoma area. Very nice and professional mechanics who explain everything to you without being condescending, which is unfortunately rare. Very reasonable prices, too—I went in to get tires replaced and they charged half of what the Meineke down the road quoted me. Definitely recommend this shop!

So appreciative of Gary and the team working me in to fix an air conditioning issue with my vehicle ahead of a long toad trip to Texas. Between appointments they diagnosed the problem and fixed the issue!

I was referred to Adam by a fellow backyard mechanic about ten years ago and feel very fortunate for the introduction. He has always been straight honest and to the point with me. We were in need of a mechanic to do an inspection of a low mileage Mazda we were considering buying from a used car dealership. The Mazda dealership was overbooked and after a series of referrals in the Tacoma area, we found this shop. The owners were both amazing as the wife worked with us to find time on a very busy day and the husband did a quick and efficient inspection that saved us thousands by finding serious suspension issues that had been covered up. Inspections such as these are easy for low integrity mechanics to make a quick buck off unsuspecting customers. But the service here was amazing and saved us from spending thousands (and all the headaches) in the future on a compromised car. Its very clear to me that this shop highly values their customers and I would not think twice about using them in the future.

After multiple bad experiences with Titus Will Ford I brought my truck to UP Tire. Wish I would have from the start. The service, trustworthiness, and fair pricing is second to none. They could have easily sold me a brake job I didnt need along with some other things. They let me know I had about 50% life on my pads and did not try to sell me anything I didnt need.After taking my car to Titus Will to fix a noise coming from the brakes, they quoted me $800 to fix along with some other tens it turns out I dont really need for a total of almost $1400. Upon driving off there was a new, much worse noise, a constant grinding. UP Tire figured out what it was and even sent me pictures.Not being a car person it is invaluable to have a go to auto repair shop, thankfully I now have one.I cannot recommend them enough. Trust me, you will not be sorry.

My husband and I have been coming here for years and never had any issues until now. We always get our oil changes done here and any repair work we just do not feel like doing ourselves. We are more than car/mechanically savvy people and for the most part are able to tell if a mechanic is trying to bs us. U.P Tire has always been up front with us until the other day. I brought my husband’s car in for an oil change and they said we needed new brakes. Okay cool, totally fine. But then we were quoted almost $800. That did not sit right with us. We have never seen a brake job cost that much. My husband’s car is only 3 years old and is a small compact car so he has front/rear disc brakes which are a breeze to swap out. A few days later I called and went over the quote to see what was really going on and after a short conversation I was told they could drop their price by over $300 because “They did not want to lose our business”. At that point I knew that there was something amiss. Changing 4 disc brakes does not cost $800. Even with labor, parts and a flush. Then the shop is willing to drop the price over $300. Come on now. (And as an example, 3 months ago they completely replaced a water pump for us on the same vehicle which was a more complicated job, took longer than brakes would have and it cost us less than $500) Anyway, we ended up taking our car to our local dealership this morning to have the brakes changed, which would have been $360 + tax for *ALL 4*. On top of that not only were our brakes more than fine, they have more than double the surface area left on them with at least 5,000+ miles wear. So obviously at this point we are not comfortable ever giving them our business again. We were lied to. Seriously lied to. We feel as though they earned our trust over the years and then once they had it they pounced. I am not sure if this is solely Adam (who has always been awesome) or if this is his sister Marissa over quoting but whatever it is it is so far from being cool. We are really upset by this, not only because of the situation but because we thought we found someone we could trust. So now we are back to doing all of our own work again.

Adam and Marissa and crew have been doing all of our car repairs and maintenance since 2011. They are honest and fair, and will let you know right away if anything is needed or changed when its a repair. They have gone out of their way to fit me in many times when we have an emergency repair etc. We always recommend this shop to our friends because good honest mechanics can be hard to find. You wont be disappointed here.

Helpful, honest, and hard working. Marissa is great with follow ups and keeping you informed durring the process, they refuse to work with disreputable dealers even when it means more work/money for them. They were incredibly patient with a difficult situation with a car dealership as we got our end worked out, my family has been using them for years and never a problem from their end, great prices too.

Ive been going here for about 2yrs now with an old (2002) soon-to-be-dead car. Theres Netflix in the lobby as well as a super comfortable couch and 2 chairs and an always clean restroom. I am legit car dumb and they explain everything well enough that I can understand it but without making me feel like an idiot. Even though I live 45mins away, I wont go anywhere else. Very nice people, very well priced, and theyre so speedy! Highly recommend going here.

Our family has been going here for oil changes and the occasional repair for several years now. Great service and pricing. Front desk lady is friendly and honest. Lobby and bathrooms are clean!!! They dont try to upsell us or talk us into fixing something that doesnt need to be fixed with every oil change like other mechanics. Heads-up on repairs are given in advance whenever possible (i.e. I noted on your paperwork that you will likely need rear breaks at your next oil change). Highly recommend this shop.

I am a young female driver and I bought an older car with several hundred thousand miles, and Adam meticulously went through and diagnosed the problems with the car, spending several hours. We went over all the problems with the car. He recommended which problems were crucial and he stayed within my budget. Best of all, he treated me with respect and Marissa is very professional and knows the industry. I trust UP tire with my car.

I had scheduled to get my oil changed and have my service engine soon light checked out. The oil change went fine but I was extremely disappointed that the diagnostic check came with a $100 fee and I was not told about this up front. I believe most auto parts stores would have done this for free. I will most likely not be going back.
