I went to this shop right after it opened and I was not very happy with the person who cut it back then. It had been a few years and so I decided to give them another try and I am so glad that I did. Amanda is the best and I love her personality. I vibed with her right away and she had me looking flawless. Ive now been back again and Amanda hooked me up. I cant wait to go back in and see her for my color. She listens to me and what Im wanting and executes it every time. She just knows my hair and how its going to fall. Anyone in this salon Ive seen does amazing hair so Bishops definitely wont disappoint.

Taylor did a great job. It was easy to setup an appointment and check in. Parking wasnt difficult. Everyone was staying safe & positive in the salon.

I’ve been going to Bishops for about a year and a half. I’ve had three different stylists. I have naturally wavy/curly hair and none of the stylists there know what to do with it. I had one good haircut outside of Bishops and never knew how bad Bishops was until someone else cut my hair. Bishops looks like they do a good job with coloring, but they really cannot cut natural hair. With my hair specifically, they seem to think that because I wear my natural curls that they can just chop away without proper layering and techniques. It’s is a very loud studio. The girls talk extremely loud and get distracted chatting with each other when cutting hair. Now that I know Bishops isn’t my only option, I won’t be going back.

This is my second time seeing Taylor and my hair looks just as amazing as the first time. I’ve been to a lot of different types of salons before and I definitely prefer going here. If you want beautiful hair color come here!

Amanda is wonderful. This is the first time I have seen her at Bishops but Ive been going to her for awhile. Bishops is a really fabulous environment and artsy and everyone is super nice and welcoming. Love it! And of course Amanda cuts and styles my fine thin hair and I adore her.

Brittany was wonderful. I feel like everyone I’ve asked for an under cut or super short cut people are afraid to do it not knowing my hair gets thicker as it gets shorter. Brittany did not even hesitate. I told her what I wanted and she did just that and I absolutely love it! Will definitely be going back to see her!!

Absolutely love this place. Gwendolyn is awesome and shes now cut mine and my kiddos hair. They were super flexible when I had to reschedule a couple times because of illness and never made me feel bad for it. Im super picky about who does my hair and will definitely be sticking with this place.

They were awesome with my three kids(4, 6, and 9). They squeezed us in last minute (my own fault) and took such good care of us! Gwendolen was the sweetest human and did great cuts for my 2 littles and Brittany rocked my oldest daughters very first pixie cut! We all left so happy! I highly recommend for all BUT finding places who cut kids hair with precision is tough and Bishops is a total win. You wont be sorry! Thanks again for amazing cuts!

I got a hair cut from Gwendolyn. She is amazing! I have very fine hair but a lot of it, so I tend to keep it short and try to get as much volume as possible so it doesn’t hang flat. I have been searching for a good stylist in Tacoma and I tend to always end up with bob looks that don’t give a lot of volume to my hair, which I’m not a big fan of. Gwendolyn cut my hair exactly how I wanted it. She took her time and it looked more professional than hair cuts I have spent double the price on. Great value, she is very friendly and fun to talk to and does an amazing job with short hair cuts!

I asked for a haircut that would be attractive, last for a couple months, and be easy to maintain. Haircut was one of the worst I’ve ever gotten. Less than a month later, I still couldnt stand my hair.Originally left a 1-star review, but after reading my review, manager Gwendolen called me and repaired my hair, giving me a fantastic cut. I am as happy now as I was unhappy before. (She did agree that former cut was pretty awful.) Highly recommend, and other stylist is no longer there.

I went in to get my hair fixed after Great Clips butchered it. Kassie was my stylist and she did a great job, she was also a delight to chat with while she worked on my hair. I also got a 5% discount since it was for a fix, which was really nice.

I am growing out my gray and wanted freshened-up. I came away feeling wonderful and have never liked my bangs as much as I do now. I get compliments on my hair - the grow out and the bangs - frequently. Brittany has done my bangs twice now and she has a special touch for sure!

Came in for a long hair cut and hair wash and Joe did amazing! He took great care of my hair, and he was fast and efficient. I love my new layers, theyre perfectly framed around my face. The salon was very clean and they took extra precautions to ensure safety from any cross contamination. Everyone was welcoming and nice! I left there with smooth, shiny, great smelling hair and I will be back to get my hair colored 😊

Brittany is extremely knowledgeable. She never made me feel like I cant get the hair I wanted. I was given a professional intake. I loved how she gave me options and advised and she didnt dismissed me or my crazy ideas. I didnt feel rush even for a hair consultation. She took her time with me and mainly my hair. Which is important to me because the last place I went to I was told I couldnt do a thing, was rushed and felt unwanted. And that was 3 days ago. I need to feel like my soon to be stylist cares about the quality of her work and her clients needs. Thats what I got from Brittany. I booked my hair coloring appointment with her, and Im so excited.

On Wednesday I went to Bishops and my boyfriend and I both got hair cuts, and today I went back and got my hair died, and even though it turns out Im allergic to bleach and that wasnt fun, I couldnt be happier with both my experiences, and the results! My boyfriend loves his hair cut, he got a faux-hawk, and im happy with my haircut but the best part is definitely the dye job.I had Amanda help me both times, and she was great. I have social anxiety so I appreciated her not talking my ear off🤣🤣 . Amanda was great though, the salon was clean, and all the other employees seemed were very friendly and welcoming as well.I would definitely recommend this salon to anyone in the area, especially if youre looking for a colorful look! Not the best experience. The stylist was very nice and professional and the atmosphere is great but she gave me the wrong color dye or she didnt bleach my hair correctly, not really sure because im not a professional.my hair turned out orange in the middle and red in the front. She said it would fade into the proper color but it didnt even after washing it once so I ended up dying my hair brown to cover it up. Kind of a waste of $200

Keli/ Cali did a horrible job with my daughters haircut I’m not sure what we did or said for her to ruin my daughters haircut. If anything I staid out of the establishment because I did have my two toddlers with me. My son also had a haircut by a different stylist and it was fabulous. As soon as Keli/ calis co worker saw what she had done she was really nice and fixed it it’s way shorter than what I had asked for initially from kali/Cali but it turned out beautiful NOT thanks to Cali/ keli . It’s a nice establishment everyone else was really profesional except for Keli/ Cali not only did she take two hours but she messed it up definetly not recommending her at all.

I was able to get a same-day appointment scheduled through the appointment app. My stylist was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. All Covid protocol and protections were followed and I walked away with an amazing cut! Definitely returning!

Joe did an excellent job cutting my 2 year old sons hair. I dont care for those kids cut places with the rocketship chairs and a million distractions. So if your kid can sit through a haircut without screaming his head off. I would highly recommend this place.

Bishops was always my go-to when I lived in Portland (and not just because the location in my neighborhood gave you Miller High Life while you waited). I seriously never had a bad haircut there no matter who was working. I hadn’t really had much luck finding anything similar so when I learned that Pierce County has a Bishops now I was so excited that I got my first haircut in (seriously) three years.And... it was an awesome haircut! I don’t know anything about hair so I just told the stylist the length I wanted and let her do her thing. Based on the number of compliments I got, I definitely made the right decision.The staff are all really nice. The friendly owner approached me and asked what I thought about everything and filled me in on what’s coming next (which apparently includes beer!).So Bishops is my go-to in Tacoma now, too.Note: They do walk-ins but I recommend making an appointment online. It’s quick and painless. I made one on the bus ride there and was able to get a spot for 45 minutes later.

I looked on Google for a local Bishops, I always try out Bishops Cut/Color when I travel, because I always get great service and a fun experience. Brittany was so fun to talk to and the other stylists were having fun talking with customers. The hair wash was special--you know how when you get your nails done and the technician takes extra time to massage your shoulders it makes the experience relaxing? Thats how I felt. Brittany also took the time to tell me how I could make my hair healthier and I bought the products she used so I can use them at home. My hair looks great! Now I feel ready for my meetings tomorrow!

What a fun place to get my hair done! I was welcomed with hugs and smiles from Dawn and Rachel and given the most wonderful tour. On the day of my hair appointment with Brittany, Kerry greeted me like I had walked into their home! Brittany did such a fantastic job on my hair color that I look ten years younger! In addition, Bishop’s is also supporting Adorned in Grace Tacoma, a non-profit that combats human trafficking. We are so blessed by Bishop’s partnership!

I decided to “treat myself” to a blow out. Since I have coarse, thick hair, it’s a pain stying it and it doesn’t look good unless I do. First Shara took me to her chair to talk about what I wanted. I love that she listened to me, asking me questions and giving me advice on what kinds of products would best help my hair needs. After a lovely shampoo, she did my hair. It looked fantastic and stayed smooth and sleek until I washed it again. I think I’m going to keep treating myself to getting my hair done as part of my self care routine. It’s amazing how good I felt about how I looked after seeing Shara. Ha, ha, Bishops slogan is “You look good!”

Ill follow Alexis anywhere, but I do like this location.

I usually have a great experience at other bishops locations in Seattle, however over here was not the case. I didn’t realize until getting home and getting a good look that my hair had long missed pieces and it was pointed out to me that my hair was left longer on one side. Unfortunate, but you must be careful of the quality of the stylists at this location.
