Probably the best public golf value in America. Played here several times and it never disappoints. Staff is always super friendly and accommodating. The course is always in great shape even with so many rounds put on it this past year. Shuttle from the proshop to the first tee works well. Lower Practice area is awesome. Having to walk the course adds to the experience and helps you connect to the course in a cool way. Its quite the hike so be prepared for that. This is a must play if you are in the Seattle area. Played here for $90 at 1:50pm and it was unbeatable value in my opinion.
Amazingly beautiful course with great conditions just before the Pacific Am. Played with three local members that were so kind and accommodating without a caddy. Shot one of the better rounds of my life and truly believe it was due to taking the experience as what it was, a bucket list course. I will try to come back soon! The rental clubs were solid Taylormade irons and woods. Well done!
We had Sean as our caddy yesterday and he was really great - I highly recommend shelling out a bit more to get the full caddy experience. We played yesterday, May 13, and the weather was perfect and the course was in great condition. It’s an interesting design, because the public can walk through the course in many points, so it doesn’t feel as private as you may expect paying over $150 green fees. But it’s very beautiful and has a lot of scenic and difficult holes. Tip: stay out of the green side bunkers if you can!! The bunkers are a bit rocky - I looked at my 6 iron after my round and looks like it was a bit damaged from hitting out of a bunker unfortunately. Don’t be afraid to move your ball, or else your clubs could also get damaged. But it didn’t seem to matter - I had a very wonderful time.
Beautiful course! Extremely challenging.Word of warning, no carts allowed, and this course is a brutal walk. If you are a bit out of shape and not used to frequent exercise I would highly recommend you do some walking/hiking to prepare. The amount of elevation change is unbelievable. Make sure you bring good socks/shoes too.Its well worth the bit of extra work to get to play this incredible course.
This place is big. Long walk ways. Running hiking. Open view of the ocean. Many places to sit. Play: frolic and relax. Lots of people visit here. Golfing of crazy cool looking and I am jealous of the ambition players have.... I definitely did not expect to be that big and I had the wrong shoes or rather say booties! I should of been wearing yoga pants and a windbreaker... chilly bustling air that day.... my son enjoyed watching the train... the club house was a wait but their cod and beer was fresh. Should of ate outside. It was a beautiful day...
Chambers Bay is in the top 10 hardest golf courses in the country, and the second you arrive, you can see why. With rolling hills, more sand traps than greens, and long fairways, this one is a challenge for sure. Prices during the winter and early spring are little half the price than the summer, so try to take advantage if you can. They will usually shuttle you on some of the longer holes as they only allow push carts of this course. If your a beginner golfer, Id say play a few more times before this course takes a piece of your soul along with another 30 strokes from your regular golf game.
Was a beautiful day just under 80 Sunny slight breeze was perfect!!! My buddy and I did the caddies mine was the beast and Bo was My buddies and they were awesome!!! Highly recommend either of them!! Definitely the knowledge of the course and stories made it a Great experience!!! Tip those fellas well because they are Worth it!!!
I hoping someone from chambers bay will see this. Were avid boaters as well as our friends and the boating community out here would love to have a dock to be able to access chambers bay by boat. We would love to let the kids jump out and play on the shore but there is no boat dock😢
Chambers Creek not the golf course. But the water was great! Very refreshing. I love this place. Skim boarding is big there and the area changes for playing changes every year. Most of the water is ankle to waist deep and the people there are mostly friendly.
Tough walk. Beautiful course. If they allowed carts, Chambers would be simply amazing. The hike takes some of the fun out of playing there, for me anyway.
I have not played on the Golf Course. I have walked the trails through the course. This is a very hilly, expanse course. The views of the water are spectacular.
Not worth the money right now. The greens are in horrible shape and need water and some tender loving care. It’s a beautiful experience and wonderful setting, but if you literally have a 6 foot birdie putt and there is more sand and dirt between you and the hole than grass, you know the drought and mismanagement has taken its toll. I played yesterday 8/19. Before you shell out the money, give them a ring and ask the conditions of the greens. I wish I had, they were ten times better in early June when I first played the course.
An absolute treat to play Chambers Bay. The staff, the course, the setting, the conditions (new greens!!) made this bucket list experience exceed the hype. The scale of it stands out, it’s a enormous playground of dunes and slopes. I played in a wind chill of 35 and light rain and it was 100% worth it.I called ahead a week early as a single and they worked me in on a day that didn’t have any available tee times. Meant a lot. Thanks Raef and other great people in the pro shop!
Im not a golfer, but this club has a nice restaurant with a great view. Lots of outdoor activities to do even if you dont golf
The hills sneak up on you and it turns into quite the concrete hike. Bring water as the fountains are spaced far apart. The views are amazing no matter where youre at on the trail. Playground for the kids and dogs on leash only.
Ive played Chambers bay since 2014 and It is an event each time. The views are amazing and staff very professional. The course is links style so different from most western Washington courses. Like Rory said at the US open Its more links than most the links courses we play Its cool meeting people from all over the world who come and play it. Is not every day the average golfer can play a major championship course, especially for the 135-250$ it costs and if you get an online membership it can be as littleas 120$ a round. (Pebble Beach is over 500$!) Holes 15-18 are spectacular.
Beautiful place to visit. Its free.Lots of running to do. Cool, weird structure that remind me of Star Wars. Huge golf course. A bridge that goes over a train track and leads down to the beach front. The restaurant is very reasonable as well! If you love to get out and walk I highly recommend this place. Its 30 minutes from jblm.
Beautiful evening with beautiful sunset. Unfortunately someone hit our car and did extensive damage and didnt have the conscious to leave their info. What is this world coming to!
Chambers is incredible. The views are stunning, the staff are friendly and helpful and the golf course is magnificent. The course is firm and fast and the greens are enormous. It is very difficult. Youre always hitting into some kind of trouble and the run out in the fairways bring bunkers that are out of reach off the tee on any other course into play. The green complexes are huge and if you arent careful, you can putt the ball off the green into bunkers that are nearly impossible to get out of for the average player.Ive only played one round here, but I will absolutely be back!
My nephew and I played today. What a fantastic experiences. The staff was great, very helpful and pleasant. The caddies we had today were worth every cent, made the day that much better. Jason and Kyle were the best. They studied our swings figured out our distances and made this a pro experience, I would recommend this to any avid golfer. If I make the senior tour, Jason’s my caddy. I will be back, best golf experience no doubt....
We had a blast today! Well, to be honest, Ive never had a bad time here. Its so beautiful, as it overlooks Chambers Bay and a few little islands, accessible by ferry. Whether you need some exercise, or a simple stroll, the trails are well maintained. You can eat eat the restaurant, eventually. I believe there will be a subdivision built there too?
I work here! Its awesome..
Im sure its a fine golf course, but Ive never golfed here. What it is, in addition to a golf course, is one of the most gorgeous parks around, with fun for the whole family. Paved walking trails (over 4 miles of them) a huge play area for kids, fields for picnics, kite flying, or just catching some sun, a dog park, beach access, and the best sunsets youll ever see.
Great place!! Good times!
Stellar condition, great day. Only downsides were slow play even with 12 minute tee intervals. Group behind us hitting up with three groups clearly visible??? In Seattle minorities rightly fight for equality but come on observe golf etiquette keeping quiet on the tee even though yes it is slow
Great views! Very clean and the trail is paved and great for walks at sunset!
We walk the upper trail near the childrens play ground. Its always beautiful and refreshing. The scenery makes the walk all the more appealing.
Great golfing location with very scenic views of the water.
Nice walking and jogging paths. Undulating terrain with scenic vistas and professional landscaping.
Beautiful walk. Nice breeze, on a summers day.
The course is gorgeous but the greens are a mess. I believe over the next few years they are redoing the greens three at a time. Currently this course is just way overpriced for what it is. The three greens being blocked off and overseeded ( with Poa I believe) look absolutely beautiful. Until they are all done I wouldnt pay more than half price. The vistas are gorgeous and the challenge is great. Good golfers will be rewarded and punished at the same time. Find a deal and re-live the same frustration had by the worlds best!
Other than folks not wearing masks while in large gatherings, it was a really nice day for a walk.
Lots of wide open green lawns, and iconic ruins from 2 gravel mining companies.
Beautiful scenery of the bay, the golf course, and the surrounding hills. Whether you are taking a stroll, fresh air, or exercise, this place is a combination of all leisure. Take a break. Bring yourself or family here. Commenting on Chamber Bay...Have a wonderful walk/jog! 😄
Was really perfect!!! How do i expression of this course..!!!Perfect ever and ever. Greens & fairway is perfect.
I take my son regularly to play at this park. We love it! It’s always clean, people are friendly, and the views are amazing on nice days. Lots of big toys to choose from and a section for toddlers too.
Just delightful, my brother lived right across the street from Chambers Bay Golf Course, we were even there for the First major tournament and we could see a lot of people there. Chambers Bay is so beautiful anyway that its worth spending some time with your family or friends, the Ocean is right there and the smell of salt water, i miss Surfing 🏄♂️. Thanks again for everything. 🤙👣🤙
Love this course
Great place to walk/run and enjoy great views.
Great golf course and a great park
Didn’t expect to get my money’s worth out of the round, but I can honestly say it was the most breathtaking round of golf I have ever played. So unique and the staff there is incredible
AMAZING course! I had such a great time and had some amazing views. Staff is TRULY amazing, as well. Cant wait to go back already!
Beautiful place to watch sunrise or set! Us open was amazing and all around a great place for a family or golfers. If you are golfing it is definitely on the high end of cost!
One of the best spots in PNW to catch the sunset and get a jog in
This is a beautiful course and lots of fun. We loved our caddy and recommend getting one if you dont play here regularly.
Walking. Beach access. Kids play areas. Dog park. Golf. Restaurant. Events.
Love this trail! Beautiful scenery, great work out, and just populated enough to feel safe without being overcrowded.
Best golf courses Ive been played. The condition of tee box, fairway, and green was amazing. Only challenging part is you have to walk, but this helps you to remember the course.
Amazing place to go for a run or walk. If youve got a pet they have water fountains a areas for your pals as well.
Great place for golf awesome views of the Puget Sound - the sand was awesome and pretty much everywhere my shots landed!!
Good place to workout & hangout with freinds.
My most favorite place of peace in the world!😍💜💙💚
Great course! Great staff!
Great Soccer Field its Beautiful
Very pretty to visit and go for a run/walk/golf.
Friendly staff friendly patrons beautiful ambiance I met old friends & was pleasent experience, & will return, soon
Beautiful views, yummy Americana foods
Great place but people dont use mak so Id be careful
Hands down the most scenic golf course in WA State! Worth every dollar. Plays super fast with a ton of slope. Be prepared to walk, but expect to take a ton of pictures... let’s of elevation changes, clubbing up/down often, anticipating wind off pair threes and false front greens where if you miss by a yard, you will roll backwards 50 yards into the fairway.
Love this place, amazing view, nice people every one is so friendly. Great place thats really simple to visit.
I dont golf but come here regularly for walks with and without my dog. Just a great location and tend to meet good folks here. Positive review for the meticulous upkeep and regular, employee presence which keeps it clean and feeling safe.
Great course. A real test best played in the late afternoon for the great views and sunset.
This course is nearly an alternate reality. Stepping onto the campus is to step out of the NW and into golf snow-globe where you can see that Western Washington is still there on the borders of your periphery but for a moment, is outside of the experience.Rolling fairways, wind-whipped dunes and flocks of golden fescue shifting in formation lead you through the most well-drained, mud less course, outside of Bandon Dunes, to expansive undulated greens that roll out true and challenge the golfer to trust their read or trust their eyes and the action their partners ball just demonstrated. To note is the investment, care, concern and service excellence that the staff exhibits that is in lockstep with the quality of this course.
This is an awesome course. Beautiful views, very friendly staff. The track is TOUGH!! FAST GREENS with lots of contour. Had a blast, but I got my but kicked by this one. Walking only!
Lovely views - challenging course!
Awesome park, nice 1.5 mile paved walking trail with view of the sound
Great course, great views. The course was a lot of fun and challenging. Lots of risk, rewards opportunities. If this is your first time playing at CB, and you are playing without local knowledge, definitely get a caddy. My caddy was Alex and he was outstanding!
Amazing golf!
Not a bad choice for a short hiking
Great place to walk and enjoy the great view of the Puget Sound.
Was very excited to play Chambers Bay for the first time this past weekend. Our tee time was at 12:10pm and we fully expected to finish 18 holes by sundown. Unfortunately, the course was packed and there was no enforcement on pace of play. The group two ahead of us took so much time that by the turn, 2 people in the group ahead had left. We were told by their playing partners that they complained multiple times to the shop and nothing was done. It took 3 hours to finish the front 9. The slow group also ended up picking up 2 more golfers on the turn and were playing in a 6-some. By the time we finally reached the 17th tee it was too dark to see the ball and I finally ended up walking off the course on the 18th tee. For a course charging the amount they are, you would really expect better pace enforcement. Its a real shame because the course itself was in excellent condition, and I wish I could have finished my round.Pros: Beautiful and challenging courseCons: No pace of play enforcement, 6+ hour round
Amazing experience, it’s truly a stunning course. Don’t expect to score well though, the greens are faster than putting on concrete.
Beautiful place when its sunny, free parking nice walk, train tracks, bay,
Absolute bucket list course! It will definitely challenge you but the views make it all the more worth it!
Beautiful view, large grassy areas, and great walking paths that young kids can bike on. There is also an osprey nest, where you can watch these amazing seahawks perch and soar around. Not to mention a nice bridge with a viewing platform over the ocean, and beach access!
Love the views there.
Wow!! What an amazing experience. Great customer service. The caddies where really good people and very knowledgeable. The views-Incredible!! Cant wait to go back.
