This auto repair shop is very reasonable! You can most likely expect to pay half what the dealership charges you. They are also very customer service oriented and even drove me to my workplace when I got my car serviced. I will be making another appointment soon. Support local business and visit them today!

MIKE, A BUSINESSMAN WITH BIG HEART. I first came to Mikes shop in 2007 . Thats my first years in US and life is very difficult. When the service was done, Mike only charged me the materials. I was moved by his good manner . He told me no worry, everybody has difficult time in life. Whenever I came back for services,it is always more than good. I received a very professional service at the this car shop two days ago via just walking in as a first time customer，where John （the manager）and Parisa （the owner）both treated me and everyone else over there, with courtesy.Job is well done in a timely manner. This automotive center gets it... Location, customer service, history. I met with the Owner and SHE (Ms. Perry)is super fabulous, and knows how to set the right expectations. I went in just for a simple oil change, as I was already 400 miles over my regular change. I called in and was told come on in, but expect about an 1hr wait. A few options were given to me for the wait. I couldve dropped off my vehicle, got a ride to any local destination, they even said I could have a rental if I really needed to go somewhere. I actually decide to hang out with them. Very family orientated, and so much history to get caught up on. Not to ruin the experience, you can discuss when you take your vehicle in. They specialize in many makes and models. I highly recommend giving this Center a chance to earn your business...

I have been very pleased with Akbar and will be taking all of my auto repair & maintenance business to them from now on. They did exactly what they promised and had my car ready when promised. They did not try to bs me when there was an issue they were not able to deal with (the car is an older model Pontiac no longer being manufactured). Jim, in particular, was both knowledgeable and extremely professional. In addition, the shop was so clean and orderly that it puts some dealers showrooms to shame.

I appreciate the friendly and caring atmosphere every time we bring our car in for service. I won’t take my car anywhere else.

AKBAR Auto Service has been my Mechanic since 2007. I work on my own car when I can...and, when the job is too big, I call on my trusted friends at Akbar in Upland. They have worked wonders with my vintage Mercedes. I recommend highly recommend them to my friends.

Ive read through the other reviews for this business and I have a hard time believing that they are all legitimate. My elderly mother brought her Mercedes in requesting that they give her car a check over to make sure she wouldnt have any issues while driving. They are found a couple of issues and she paid about $700 to have them taken care of. The next day she suddenly had an oil leak which was not present before and was not identified as an issue with the initial work. We brought it back in to have this taken care of and they wanted to charge her another $700 to fix the leak that they clearly caused. This felt really shady and it appears that they were clearly looking to take advantage of her. I highly recommend taking your auto to another more legit dealer as my mother will be doing in the future.Regarding your response below that was made 2 years after my original post, I did in fact come back to your business in person to explain the situation in detail and was only told that it would cost another $700 to fix. After walking away frustrated and disappointed, I watched the leak for a few weeks. It turned out not to be a leak at all, since there was no additional leakage after the first few days. Id assume that there was just an overflow of oil from the service and not a new leak. This makes your suggested $700 additional charge to fix the leak (that wasnt there) feel even more shady. I wont be back.

Thank you to Perry (owner) and Jim (Lead Technician) for everything. We have been having some issues with my daughters vehicle (VW Cabrio) stalling that other mechanics had difficulty diagnosing. Jim found it and corrected by replacing a failed sensor and all in a day. The price was reasonable. The 3 weeks later, the issue came back, so we took the vehicle back in. Sure enough, the very same part that was replaced turned out to be faulty, so Jim replaced it free of charged. No issues since! We had also been having issues with the drivers side window roll up/down actuator switch & gear. It had been a problem ever since we purchased the vehicle 5 year ago. We had it replaced once, but once again it failed. We figured it was an electrical issue, but thought wed give Akbar a chance to address that as well. Jim figured that one out too and we have not had any issues since. Silly that we had driven around for a few years dealing with that issue. Wish we had found Akbar years ago. The service is professional, friendly and affordable. They have a great lounge if you want to hang out while they are working on your car as well. Anyway, we highly recommend them. Thanks so much for taking care of us!

Back for my third service visit to their facility and continue to be pleased with the treatment, price, and friendly people. I am one to avoid dealerships after warranties expire, and find these folks really provide top notch services at a fair price.

Absolutely not a good place to service your car. I went in to have a vibration noise diagnosed, came out with same problem persisting, after paying a $1,000. Was told to bring my car another day. Took a day off, and got there at 7:55 am. Oh, my mechanics are not available, please come back after the Labor day. Took another day off, went in before 8:00 am. I was told, it will take 2 days. I had made it clear with the guy, I am going out of town the next day. I was told it’s ok, come back next week, and leave the car here for a couple of days.I felt like the guy, who went in to see a doctor for a cough, and was given medicine for kidney failure, and cough still existed.I have been in automotive business for over 25 years, never seen anything like this.I won’t recommend anyone to this place.

John and the team are excellent people that do great work on BMWs. I trust them with two (well-used) cars and Ive never been disappointed in their responsiveness, excellent work quality and very reasonable costs. They are absolute stars.

I found Akbar Auto on Yelp! Because I had a horrible experience with a BMW dealer.....I went in and was greeted by Mike and let me tell u they are honest hardworking auto specialist...I have never had any problems with their services and they have even rushed my car services for me. Now I dont mean rush as in doing a fast service but considered that I was waiting and got me in and out! I recommend them if u have any car issues or just want to have a positive and honest auto specialist to look at ur luxury vehicle dont hesistate.The only problem I have is that they arent open on saturdays :-/I approve of this business and their prices....

This place is a scam dont spend your money here! They kept me coming back by replacing my parts and having my Audi shaking and riding terribly. They overcharged me for my parts and zeroed it out so it looked like I didnt pay anything on a two THOUSAND dollar clutch system. The people are shady and fake, the mechanics are overpaid to mess up your luxury car. Do NOT GO HERE!!!!

I bought a Volkswagen EOS after 4 days the car broke down and i took it to 4 different mechanics including that dealership and no one was able to fix it! After spending so much time and money after the last shop that couldnt fix it they recommended Akbar. I called a tow truck because it no longer couldstay at that shop and went straightto akbar with no appointment and had it dropped off i spoke to John and he told me not to worry and that the car would not leave their shop until it was running like it should. I was relieved. They had it there for less than a week, they uncovered so many problems one after another but didnt give up the best thing is they kept in contact every day to let me know what was going on and John kept telling me to not worry that they would make sure that i wouldnt go backwith another problem and that is a huge commitment. Anyways i got the car and ive had it for 2 weeks. Itruns amazing he called me a week after as well to see how it was running. I have never had stellar service and impecable proffessionalism i would recommend to anyone as i already am! Look for John!!
