My reviews are not paid or endorse. At the time of this review, I hadnt had a bad experience in stores or on the phone. Good staff.2 years ago manager gave me half price off of a product for making him laugh regarding a discount for ugly shoes.

I like this particular Big 5 because the last two times I went they had size 13 football cleats IN STOCK! Also, their prices are very reasonable and the staff is super helpful & friendly. I dont like having to drive all over just to find out stores are out of everything. Great job Big 5 😃!!!

Husband and i just went for some fishing bait...customer service could have been better no real eye contact and we werent really acknowledge as we walked in. Good part about it not one person there so it was in and out...

Organized very well and that goes great considering ALL THEIR merchandise they have. I really like the ease and friendly manners of their employees A+ ! I learned a few things when I went a couple weeks ago and very easy and smooth returning something this weekend. Id recommend coming here and F forget walmart

As soon as they bring back ammo and hunting riffles it goes to four..maybe five if they dont gouge..Check with cfars website before attempting to purchase ammo...You may be blocked if you have moved recently

Friendly and professional staff. Not enough of them there at any given time. Only certain managers can handle things like ammunition and firearms transactions. Sometimes only the manager is there.Otherwise a well organized and clean store.

Big 5 was having a sale on shoes and yesterday evening my husband and I found a pair we each needed, on sale, with the assistance of a very nice young man who was in charge of that department. The young lady at the front of the store who rang us up also could not have been nicer. I wish all shopping experiences could be so pleasant!

I was there on Black Friday. It wasnt too busy. The sale they had was GREAT! The associates working were extremely helpful. Much more than other Big 5 stores Ive been to. Anyway, the parking was great, prices were Black Friday prices and VERY helpful people working & a lot more merchandise than I expected, Thank you!

Ammo review: way to expensive and understaffed. It takes a long time per customer because of the backround check and the line gets pretty long and only one person doing ammo. If someone is looking at guns than it takes waay longer

AmaIng customer service! Even though they were packed on a Saturday they store manager made sure to do his rounds and even though he wasnt helping every customer he was acknowledging all of his customers. Definitely coming back just for the customer service!

Went to Target for a lefty baseball glove for my son. They had ZERO. You need to go to a sports store for selection. Staff was knowledgeable and generous with their time. They let us test merchandise.

Clearance prices are great. Staff was helpful and nice. Went in looking for hiking boots for my sons but they only carry sizes starting at 1 or 2 for little kids. Lots of cool items for camping or sports. And great sales most of the time. Store has lots of stuff for the space so it looks a bit overwhelming but its always neat and if you cant find something staff is always willing to help

A+ service. My son needed a bat, a specific bat, not the standard, and Supervisor was able to find it in the back... truly appreciate it

I normally shop at chino or Chino hills which are great. Went in early for a Christmas return. Waited at the at the register with my items. The manager (who had to be called over anyways) made eye contact but continued conversation with corporate employee. Another corporate employee walked in, passed me and joined the conversation. The cashier finally came back as she was helping a phone customer. Wouldve been nice if one of the 3 people who are supposedly most qualified would actually help a customer. Or at least greet/acknowledge a customer. Apparently holding up the racks takes the full concentration of amanager and two corporate employees.

At 10 am opening time the lines outside are out the door, 6 deep on each side. This was on a Thursday...

Its a small store wich doesnt carry a lot of variety but we still find what we need, they carry name brands and some less expensive. Weve always been able to use coupons. We purchased baseball gear. Great customer service!

Shopped here a couple of times this month because of great prices on a few things I was interested in. The same woman helped me both times and was fantastic. Pretty good selection of merchandise. Prefer shopping here to Dicks Sporting Goods.

Can’t say enough good things about the store manager, Larry. Recently I was on a mission to find a particular brand of sports cards that Big5 advertised they carry. I literally drove to at least 5 or more locations before I ended up at the upland store looking for these cards. When I walked into Larry’s store he greeted me and asked if he could help me with anything. I explained my situation to him and within minutes Larry had printed out the availability of the item I wanted for every local store for me to see. Larry then went a step further and checked availability for out of state stores and tracked down the amount I needed from a store in Nevada and had them shipped to his store for me. The most significant thing about my experience wasn’t just how helpful Larry was, but that he was genuinely interested in helping me and he was fast, professional and courteous the entire time. Big5 is fortunate to have a manager like Larry who goes above and beyond for the customer and takes pride in his work.

I was looking for running shoes but didnt want to spend too much. I found exactly what I needed and they were on sale. The employee (it may have been the manager) was very kind and helpful. I appreciate good customer service, so we will definitely be back when we need new shoes or sporting equipment.

Stood at the counter for 10 mins, no one ever bothered to show up and help. Walked around a bit and the layout is cluttered and the selection is average, prices are decent.Dont go out of your way to shop here. Good for sale prices only.

Service could have been better. They didnt know the prices to the only item I was purchasing so they made ME go look for the price and show them a picture of the posted price. Other than that they offer good items and a variety of goods.

Went it to buy a new lunchbox for work and upon walking in the store was very clean. Every section was organized and seemed very well kept. I bought an Engel 30qt cooler/drybox because I had seen countless reviews and comparisons on the product. But when I went to ask a question a girl with glasses I forget her name kinda brushed me off with no sense of urgency to check on the answer of my question. I asked her if they carried any other colors in the lunchbox seeing as I saw a tan one and white. She said no without checking or confirming with other stores. Its seem the only nice part of my shopping is the little boy scout outside selling popcorn. I serious hope she has so customer service training or if needed moved to the warehouse if she doesnt like social interaction.
