Pretty good coffee and pastries. Was really glad we tried it. But you cant go wrong with a place that serves Intelligensia coffee.

The vibes and the ambience of this place is immaculate. Im not a big coffee drinker but I ordered the einspanner special and it was divine.

Lots of space, charging ports, and service was quick. I brought a pair of headphones, spent $4 on a wonderful matcha latte, and spent 3 hours there.

I enjoyed Caffe Paradiso!! The coffee was great! The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is the cinnamon roll I got was pretty tough and the service was slow. But the coffee was very good and I will be going back!

This cafe has lovely atmosphere and the barista was very helpful. She helped me pick out a drink since I am vegan and I don’t know much about coffee. The drink was delicious and I will definitely be returning.

Visited the college town on a day trip to explore campus. stopped by for brunch before walking around campus. staff is friendly and helpful. inside and outside is beautiful! food was amazing and the environment only added to the experience

My large latte is white and tastes like plain milk. Would it hurt to put some coffee in my coffee? It may cost you $0.10, but you are charging $4.50. Not the best way to save money...Also, this is the filthiest coffee shop I have ever seen. Dust and spilled liquids on all tables and surfaces. Would it hurt to clean up some times?The only good thing is the tiramisu, hence the 2 stars.

Visited over the summer break on a Sunday morning. Quiet and cozy, and great attention to detail in our coffee drinks. Im sure the vibe is totally different during the school year, but we liked it!

This is one of my favorite cafes on a cold raining day! Extremely cozy inside. Get a hot chai with espresso on a rainy day and soak in the excellent atmosphere. The only gripe I have is that sometimes the paninis they sell are good or they are really bad depending on who makes them. I love paninis but there is so much variance!

Great place for coffee, snacks, and pastries. It is usually overrun by students. Has outdoor seating for Covid restrictions.

Best lattes on campus! I always make a point to visit this place for a cup of coffee at the end of each semester, but I also occasionally show up to purchase Intelligentsia beans or to study.

Cool shop just off campus. The shop has a lot of space and tons of outlets with extensions to work with which is really nice. The coffee is good and the space is unique.

I always have a lovely time here. This place is perfect for studying or catching up with friends. There is lots of seating and a surprising number of outlets. I’ve even run into some of my professors here before. Overall, wondercul place with delicious coffee and sweets! Their sandwich are great for a light lunch, too!

Paradiso is my favorite place to study—friendly staff and lots of seating, but sometimes some trouble with the Wi-Fi when it’s crowded. Their lattes are all tasty, the homemade tiramisu is life-changing, and sandwiches are good. Highly recommended!

Wow.. just wow, best water pressure Ive ever experienced. Sometimes I stop by just to wash my hands. Other than that the Sammies and Cafe are tasty too.

Cute place to grab a coffee

I went with the barista rec of a peppermint tea, and it was amazing! Like the vibe in here too, seems like a great place to work on assignments as a student, and youre supporting local!

Cafe Paradiso has a good environment to sit down and work. I often run into people I know here. You could stay here all day, eating pastries in the morning, paninis for lunch, and coffee in between. The black cat milkshake is really good too.

One of the best coffee shops in town. The quality of their coffee, the atmosphere and the baristas make this place a little oasis on campus. A bit pricy, but totally worth it!

Its very good, though a bit overpriced. Youre paying for the coffeeshop atmosphere. Obama came here when he was on campus.

Cafe Paradisio is on the top of my list of favorite places that I have ever gotten coffee. From a wonderful menu of coffee classics to several espresso favorites and even awesome paninis this place has it all. I ordered a giant chocolate chip walnut cookie and kind of expected it to be stale because it was a little bit past lunch time but this cookie was so moist and chocolatey it was unbelievable. I also had the Madelines because I love lemon with my coffee so I bought the two pack and they were perfectly frosted and fluffy. The coffee that I ordered was a latte breve and it was good wow hot but I had to leave halfway through my meal and once the coffee cooled down the breve Half & Half steamed milk taste very sour. Although I guess you cant really expect much from cold frothed half and half LOL. They also had games and I give them five stars because they have the classic Scrabble with the Lazy Susan Turn Style. I really enjoyed my visit and I want to bring my family back this place is something special.

Im new to campus and have been looking for the perfect studying spot. Caffe Paradiso offers exactly that. Its a cozy, warm environment with chill music and great coffee! Not to mention the nice vintage peices throughout the caffe. If I had to critique anything, Id say they sometimes take a bit to make coffee. But other than that, Highly recommend ! Also Obama ordered the Tiramisu here.

Im neutral about this place. The only reason is because Im not the type that likes paying for parking and its on a busy street. Also, it was too cramped inside for me. They do have a nice menu, but not worth bringing a car. Take the bus or walk there and itll be great.

I love Cafe paradiso. I have been coming here for many many years, and when I return home I make an effort to stop by and grab a coffee. The food is good, the coffee is delicious, and the service is always fast and friendly. It does get really busy and can be hard to find a place to sit but its definitely worth grabbing a coffee here.

Love this place :) buzzing with students holed up in a variety of tables, booths and sitting chairs.. Some professionals here and there. The drinks are great and sandwich and panini options among other things to eat. Charming local hidden gem... Parking can be very tricky however. Metered on the street.

Nice, relaxing atmosphere. Coffee okay, tea good, plain espresso...less so. But the staff are friendly, the bathrooms are gender neutral, and they offer a variety of seating suitable both for socializing and working.

I would not recommend coming here. There is never a table open so good luck if you have a party bigger than 3. The food was very basic and overpriced. They got our order wrong and rushed us when ordering. The menu options are also very minimal.Would not recommend at all, take your money elsewhere.

Always busy here but theres great coffee and other beverages. I highly recommend the strawberry milk. Theres a lot of charging ports around and lots of tables for you and your friends to sit down at. The baristas are also really friendly!

Very charming atmosphere. A bigger selection than I expected. You can even purchase bags of coffee, tins of tea, and loafs of bread to take home. Plenty of seating and tables to sit and do homework/study at. They even have discounts on coffee refills for the duration of your visit. I was happy to see that they had vegan options. The dish I tried was their pasta salad of the day. I also got a match latte that was decorated with a heart. Overall food experience and cant wait to try more of their menu!

Always playing bangers on the speakers (lofi, Frank Sinatra, there was some 80s one time). Wide array of great drinks and theyre pretty accommodating about special orders (I asked if I could just get milk and the dude was totally fine with it. Great place for studying. 10/10 would recommend!

I love coming here to study and enjoy coffee or tea in this very student-friendly coffee shop. The prices arent absurd, but the drinks are absurdly good! I love the black China Breakfast tea. Cant go wrong with Paradiso!

Im editing my review to say something about how staff has changed here. It seems like quite a few of the baristas (it always seems to be the girls) always act rudely towards my husband and I whenever we have a problem with our order. Weve been getting more bad lattes with too much foam. I used to have total faith in this place but now I dont even bother ordering a drink unless a certain person is working here. The pastries are still okay and the sandwiches are decent, but the reason I loved this place was the lattes. I wish they would train their staff better.

Just went with some friends and we had a mocha, caramel latte, and a coffee with toffee nut syrup.. the mocha tasted like the milk was burned and there wasnt any caramel in the latte that we could taste at all. It also took about 5-8min for the hot chocolate, and it wasnt busy.. the atmosphere is really cool and its a popular study place, but I would probably bring my own coffee or drinks next time. Clean place, friendly staff, not that great coffee/espresso drinks.

A quaint coffee shop with a small business vibe nestled just on the outskirts of campus. Parking is a nightmare. I recommend walking the beautiful UofI campus to get there instead of driving.

Caffe Paradiso is a good coffee shop. They have Intelligentsia coffee, a friendly atmosfere, and good decor. I enjoying spending there a few hours every week to work or to read.On the downside, its quite pricey compared to other coffee shops, and their selection of pastries tends to fluctuate significantly during the day. They have pretty much nothing in the early morning, and they often run out in the late afternoon.

Great coffee and atmosphere. Parking can be a challenge, and there are a few pieces of furniture that need to be retired. I love me some shabby chick, but broken chairs gotta see the door!

Best chai latte in town. Their tiramisu is really good. Wish their prices were low but is one of the few coffee shops that still provides a local atmosphere. I like the vintage-like feeling of the place, which makes it really calm and good to read and study.

A wonderful selection of food, pastries, desserts, and, very importantly, drinks. I have had countless coffees and teas here, and the atmosphere is generally great for simple studying, reading, or meeting with friends.

Decent coffee. I tried working from here one day. The wifi boots you off from time to time, which didnt work for me since I was trying to have meetings that relied on connectivity. I stopped working from here due to the Wifi issues.

The only thing this place is missing is good/free parking. Otherwise its a great place to stop in for a coffee/sandwich.

Great internet cafe. They have free internet, places to plug your laptop in if needed, and super-friendly helpful staff. Price is quite reasonable as well. They also have awesome bathroom art. Well, at least in the guys bathroom; Im not sure about the girls bathroom. Food is very good, and they offer a good variety of sandwiches and coffee, among other things. Im happy I found this place!

A good selection of standard espresso drinks that are typically decently well made compared to the other options in town, but a nice if café-priced meal selection including vegetarian options. Personally I like their teas the best with some of the best herbal teas in town (they extend beyond the standard chamomile, roobois, and lemon ginger that are common)

When you walk into this shop you get a much different feel from the other coffee shops on and around campus. The baristas are great and actually know quite a bit about the coffee they serve and how to make drinks correctly. The desserts and sandwiches/paninis are great. I strongly recommend trying the tiramisu, it goes wonderfully with a pour over.The only downside to having very knowledgeable baristas and delicious desserts is that its a bit pricey compared to the other shops around. However the quality and knowledge of the baristas, desserts, and coffee make up for this.Note: Sometimes the lattes are just warm, so if you like your lattes hot make sure to ask for extra hot.
