Called to make an appointment for an oil change last week. Scheduled for the following Monday at 8am. Dropped the car off on time, asked for it to be done by noon. Took a Lyft to work, and another back to pick up the car. Show up at noon, car hasnt even been touched yet. So I basically spent $20 on lyft to park my car for 4 hours. Never got a call, nothing. Wont be back. Ill take my business to Beckley.

Couldnt have been happier with my experience! I had my 2007 Silverado towed there as the tire was completely pulled off and behind the rim. The next day the mechanic informed me he personally went out and picked up a tire that would fit it as deliveries were slow that day. After pulling off the rim and tire and getting it cleaned up they were able to determine that the tire was still in good shape and could simply be rebalanced! I wasnt charged a thing for the tire! As honest as mechanics come! Will definitely be recommending to friends and family.

The most trustworthy auto shop I have gone to. I have taken all four cars I have ever owned there and they do a great job. One of the mechanics (maybe hes a owner too) there named Rick always does his best to explain to me what exactly is wrong and seems to go out of his way to not charge me for service. Last time I went in was for a used car that I had just purchased, and I was ready to pay for new tires, new break pads, and transmission fluid, because I new these things would need done eventually. He looked my car over for an hour, walked me through everything noteworthy about the vehicle, and in the end advised me not to have anything done to the car yet. He said he could not in good conscious do any work on the car yet because those things could wait and that I should drive it around for a few more months to make sure no more serious issues pop-up since it is a used car and you never know. Didnt charge me a dime.

Higgins Auto Plaza has been nothing, but good to me. Todd has been working on my car for a while and always goes above and beyond to get my car in and fixed right away. He is very honest and up front with me when it comes to what needs to be fixed. Prices are reasonable, and very fair. I would recommend Higgins to anyone needing vehicle work done. Again, Todd is an amazing mechanic!

Rick and Pat are super helpful when I have auto questions and always make time to help. They have even rescued me when we were in desperate need of a tow and helped change a tire in the dark cold snow and sleet when I was stranded. They are reasonable with their pricing and estimated time to complete work and can give you a ride to work or home while your vehicle is being worked on.

I drove into town during a massive winter snowstorm on a Friday afternoon only to find a hose had broken during my trip from Minneapolis.My uncle drove me up to this shop and directed me to Kieth Riden there at Higgins Auto. He was super helpful.Within just a couple hours he called to say he was able to patch me up enough to get back home. Seeing as they closed (for the weekend) at 7pm and I brought the car in at 3pm - I was beyond grateful.I definitely recommend this mechanic!

Had nothing but great experiences with Rick and this shop. No high-pressure tactics to sell unneeded repairs, just high-quality, prompt service at a reasonable price. They communicate promptly so youre not surprised by a repair or its cost. I cant recommend them highly enough, and wont take vehicles anywhere else.

I was not only recommended to check out Higgins by my neighbors, the competition also suggested I go here when a competing shop couldn’t help me.They put way more time into my car then they billed me for and refused to take the extra money I tried to get them. Worked us in to the garage just before closing time at the end of the week, fixed our air conditioning for an amazing price, very friendly, and got us down the trail quickly. Im a small business owner also and I can say; this is an excellent family business!

I brought my car in to have it checked out before I bought it from a private seller. The report was not only bad but they didnt even catch everything that needed to be done. I brought it to another shop and they literally caught $1000 worth of work that very badly needed to be done to the car. They set me back quite a lot of money. Dont bring your car here to have it looked at.

Pat was so pleasant, professional and honest with the service he performed. Didnt charge extra labor from his quote even after he had to work longer to get to the part he was replacing based on its location and other wires in the way.I witnessed various interaction between the gal at the front desk, the mechanics, and customers. Everyone of the people in this business is old-school where whats best for the customer is what they do. I found this place upon a recommendation of a co-worker and they are now my new mechanic shop for all our vehicles

Took my vehicle here to replace a wheel bearing. I already had the part I just needed someone to put it on for me. I was worried how theyd react when I mentioned I already had the part but they didnt hesitate to accept the job. Dropped my car off right away at 8 am and had a call at around 10:30 to come pick it up! I talked with the mechanic who did the work and he was very nice. If you want honest straight forward repairs done by honest hard working people then I highly recommend going here. I know I will be going back in the future if I need assistance.

We have been looking for a good quality repair shop with reasonable prices. We have finally found it. Its easy to make and apt and the work is done well and on time.

The owner are nice and honest and reasonable, but the master mechanic are not trustable when u point out his mistake and insists request to inspect the problem, it turns out did not fix my car even thought the workshop by words of mouth recommended.

The staff is nice enough, but I came in for a simple oil change, and sat for over an hour before realizing they hadnt even taken my car back. When I mentioned something to the receptionist, they finally took it back. My whole family comes here, but after several instances like this, we will be taking our business elsewhere. Not recommended unless you have a spare 3-4 hours.

SLOW - Would Rate 0 If Possible!Bought tires here. Came back to repair a leak from a nail in one. Drove straight home and parked in the garage. Next time we went to drive, the tire was completely flat. Took the tire off to bring it in to have it re-patched and have been waiting 3 hours. They still havent started looking at it. In this time Ive seen techs standing around looking at newspapers longer than it should have taken to fix the tire correctly. Save your time and money. Take your business somewhere, anywhere else!Update - After another half hour and asking the receptionist, I found out that the leak was around the bead. Apparently it wasnt properly sealed after the patch was placed inside the tire. Now Ive taken half a day off work and waited nearly 4 hours for them to fix something that should have been done right the first time and it still isnt fixed.

Have purchased 2 sets of tires from Higgins and have had good luck. They have quick turn-around and fair prices. Will continue using them for my automotive needs.

I was in town on business and needed my car looked at and fixed while i was in town. Pat was super nice. His brother came and towed my car to the shop and Pat got it looked at right away. The repair was going to be quite pricey and Pat didnt push for an answer right away. I was able to talk with my husband and figure out what we were going to do. We ended up not getting repairs done due to the value of the car and the price of the repair but when my husband came to rescue me pat took the time to show him the damage. Truthful honest efficent repair shop.

Ive had Rick and his service crew install many sets of tires on family vehicles across the years. Each time, the work was done professionally, honestly, and with excellent quality. When I drove in with a tire with a broken steel belt, they took care of it immediately, no charge, and no paperwork. Highly recommended.

Dead car battery the morning of 1/02/2018. Called Higgins, never done business there before. Rick came around 1 PM and had my car going in about two minutes with a jump start and told me to bring the car in and he would test the battery.I went in later in the afternoon and Rick just happened to be there.Tested my battery and found out it was about shot. Not a good quality battery to begin with. I will be doing business there from now on. My tire pressure was low in all tires and he pumped them up where they should beand put new valve caps on and no charge for any of it. Top of the line people and a very very busy place.

It seems Ive had the worst luck with Auto Garages until Higgins!I took my cars to them for follows ups because of messes other places made. They didnt have to help me but they did! Keith sat down with me and showed me how the parts should work. Rick took more time than he really needed to and explained things to me in depth too! They took the time to treat me like a person and not just a customer, if that makes sense. They also were VERY honest about things that needed to be done. They told me to not waste my money on the older car because Id be spending more than it was worth. The other one they explained what needed to be fixed and advised on what was necessary and what could wait.I trust them 100% and will use them as my auto repair from here on out!

My disabled mom had a brake line rust out on her car. I thought it would be an easy fix for me- afterall, it just unscrews. I bought the part from autozone and realized I had bitten off more than I can chew - this requires bending the brake line to match the old. (I am a girl!) I stopped in to Higgins because it was right up the street from where the car broke down. I took the line in there and asked them if there was any way for them to bend it to match the old. Not only did they bend it, but they sent one of their guys back to the car with me to finish the job. The mechanic was able to get the broken, stripped fitting off and replaced the line, bled the brakes, and even brought brake fluid from the shop. I will seriously never take my car anywhere else! This is AMAZING service. The work was great and this is absolutely the best customer service Ive ever had in my life!!

Keith had the problem located to a $140 electrical component in the first day.
