Had terrible phone manners...trying to make appointment and response was that cant make appointment so if I come in I cant just jump in front of someone else...he would not listen. I wanted to install replacement steering drive he couldnt say how much or how long. I contacted another facility... absolutely no problem, made appointment and received absolute estimates... very friendly. I would not recommend this place to ANYONE!

Had a trolling motor repaired under warranty. It came back and the indicator was facing the wrong direction and the pedal was no where even close to in the middle when the motor is straight. And the wire casing was ripped so i had to fix that as well. so after over 3 weeks i had to take it all apart and fix it myself. Not to mention never answering the phone or calling back. terrible experience.

Have been a customer of Boats Unlimited for more than 30 years. I recently had an issue with my pontoon boat that Mr. Claire was able to diagnose quite accurately. Both Mr. Claire and his mechanic were quite professional and this issue was repaired very expeditiously. Most importantly the cost of the repair was very reasonable. I would very much recommend them for any boating repairs, parts and /or supplies.

My repairs were done quick given the already busy boating season. The staff kept me informed of further repairs needed and the price before doing the work. The boat ran great this past weekend.

Excellent Service, very straight forward, a pleasure to work with.This type of service is refreshing I can tell you that.Took my year old bass boat in for a warranty repair for the Minn Kota trolling motor, stressed i needed it quickly and would pay next day air charges for parts if needed.Dropped the boat off on a Monday, picked it up on a Wednesday.I dont know if it could went any smoother.Highly recommend this firm to anyone.

Fixed my Minn Kota trolling motor when I was in a time crunch and needed the boat. Excellent quick service. It was also not an easy repair as the part itself was located in a difficult place to replace.

I purchased a Water Pump from Boats Unlimited Utica, NY, that was advertised on Ebay as an OEM part from Yamaha for $880 US and showing the Yamaha Part #.Ebay also listed after-market replacement pumps at US $529. My mechanic insisted that I order the OEM part to avoid any issues.When the part was delivered it was the replacement pump not the part as advertised as an OEM but an aftermarket water part that I could have purchased for $529.. I was dealing with Mike at the Utica Office. I called Mike and told him that Boats Unlimited had misrepresented the part. I was prepared to send the part back but Mike stated that he would credit my MC with the $350 US difference. After several days and no credit I followed up with Mike and he said they had changed their mind after discussing the decision with his boss and they were under no obligation to credit the difference.Great Customer Service and a little deception along the way is what you need to be aware of when dealing with this vendor. I was shocked at the way they handled this but it says a ton about the ethics of Boats Unlimited. Be advised this is not a trust worthy Vendor!

Called with a few questions about servicing my boat motor. The man on the phone was extremely rude. I’ll never set foot in his place.

This place doesnt even deserve 1 star. They had my boat for a total of 2 months and still didnt fix it but charged me over 600. I had no choice but to pay and bring it to gtech marine and they fixed the carbs within a week. These guys have been robbing people since the 80s I am taking them to small claims . I wouldnt let them work on my bicycle .

If anyone needs Minn Kota repair work or any type of marine work please avoid Boats Unlimited in Utica. Ive had the worst experience with this guy. He had my stuff for over 5 weeks after getting the run around from the beginning and being lied to over and over again. No calls on updates or responses to voicemail. Finally when I get in touch he told me hes gonna call the police if I call again and he dont have my 3gs worth of stuff. Luckily Minn kota was by my side and sent me a new talon instead of having to deal with this waste of oxygen that owns Boats Unlimited. Please take youre stuff else where you will thank me.
