Good coffee and chill out spot thats comfy and cozy and offers delicious baked goods as well. The outdoor patio is convenient for the warmer climates.

Been in the Utica area for over 20 years and since they opened they continue to be the cafe with the BEST coffee/espresso and BEST vibe in this area and region. They KNOW how to make a proper espresso, period! Most others simply do not.

Not handicap accessible and when I did make it to the counter, I was ignored in lieu of other people being tended to and was not addressed for quite some time, despite being the only one left to be served. It seems like a good place for able people. I dont recommend it to anyone disabled.

Its my brothers place to be up front with it. I must say though,Orin is a master of many things, coffee being one of them. He only gets the best fair trade coffee and prepares it as intended. cafe domenico is the real thing! The cafe-culture exists here. Check it out, you might think that youre in Europe where people actually sit and talk over an expresso. Its not accidental, its my brothers labour of love. Its his passion to bring Utica something different.The ambiance here is also very real. Youll be surrounded by real art, be listening to the best music and probably have great conversation there...I always do. This is a long-overdue review of a hidden gem coffee shop in Utica (last visit was well over a year ago). It is at the corner of an intersection; Emerson and Genesee, across from Slice pizza. Parking is relatively easy though it is street parking right next to the shop (or you could park at Slice’s outdoor lot if not crowded).The interior decor is very homey and historic. The coffee and expresso they brew are wonderful. You can taste and smell the difference between their coffee and chain-store coffees. The pricing for the coffee resembles Grommet coffee but personally it is worth the extra. They also have great desserts and cakes that goes perfect with the coffee.Staff is extremely friendly and they will make the coffee in front of you, which is pretty interesting. It is a great little shop to escape from the crazy life in Utica. There is also a guy that randomly drops by to perform, very cool.Will definitely come back to visit again! Keep up the good work.

Nice place in south Utica to get some good coffee and relax. The atmosphere is pretty chill with carefully selected background music and funky artwork on the walls. Havent been in Utica long but i can already tell this place is a gem.

It would be hard for me to overstate how important I think Cafe Domenico is for the city of Utica. It has been the lifeblood of its quiet neighborhood for more than a decade, and its success has paved the way for other small businesses there. The corner of Genesee and Emerson now features an awesome bar (owned by the same family), a community/art/music center, an excellent pizza joint, and a specialty beer store, among other things. I believe pretty strongly that none would exist without it. Great coffee, warm, convivial atmosphere, and best of all, owners who are invested in the neighborhood and the customers they serve. Who could ask for more?Oh and the lack of wifi is deliberate. I, for one, am thrilled there exists a place where every single person isnt glued to a screen.

No WIFi ?!?! I went there to enjoy some coffee and get some work done but with no internet I cant get work done. If they had internet customers would spend more time there and in turn spend more money there. Very poor choice not to have WIFi when every other coffee shop in town has internet available.

Great Coffee, nice people. No food except for cookies, bagels - overall a really nice place. (I dont know where G+ is getting the Utica Roasting Co logo from, but Cafe Domenico does not use that coffee; wrong logo!!!) No WiFi, the sign says they want people to talk to each other and do not use WiFi. Also call ahead as they often close early. They allow smoking cigar and cigarettes outside which pretty much eliminates outside seating as far as I go - but if you do not mind the smoke - it has outside seating of a few tables. Decaf is pretty much made on demand and that takes about 15 minutes. So if you drink decaf you have to wait, but at least you know its nice and fresh and delicious.
