I called Tech2U because I assumed my computer was destroyed, including the hard drive… Not only did they tell me the data was not lost, they restored all of the data to another computer. Also, Apple told me it would cost anywhere from 500 to 1200 dollars to fix… wrong! Call Tech2U and i guarantee you will not disappointed! … THANK YOU for the prompt and professional service… it’s nice to know there are still companies around that meet your computer needs without draining your bank account! I will definitely do business with Tech2U again!
Rod is my go-too guy when one of my computers goes down. I got some older ones that needed scrubbing and upgrading. Found it smart to invest in this rather than buying new equipment… for a while. My laptop with Windows 7 crashed and I couldnt get it back going. Went to See Rob at Solano - now re-branded as Tech2U. He fiddled with it for a few moinutes, got it working and refused to take payment for it. Hes not just professional but kind and genial. Five stars.
Technician Ming was such a big help to us.I had AT&T DirectTV with a satellite dish and we had a lot of problems, screen froze, blacked out or went haywire, and the remote was not responding even with new batteries. That contract expired March 2021.I finally called and changed to AT&T DirectTV Streaming.They sent the devices (streaming devices for three tv’s) and said we had to installed them ourselves. Well being seniors we are not tech savvy. After hours of calling/begging AT&T to send a tech to my house to do the install they would not. I have absolutely no one to call to help me out. AT&T says they value me as a customer! That’s a joke! Consumer beware of these big companies like AT&T are no longer helpful when you need an actual person to help. They will walk you through it on the phone but there are so many wires I told them that would not help me. I spent hours on the phone with AT&T getting transferred to unhelpful people.I finally googled and found Tech2U and spoke to Chris who assured me they could do it for us and help us program remotes, etc.Tech Ming had the work done in no time, but because of the AT&T satellite service still active I had to spend another hour and a half with AT&T getting another account number to get the streaming to connect.Ming was patient to wait while I went through all this and helped me alot to understand what to do. If it wasn’t for Ming and Tech2U I don’t know what I would have done. It costs…. But was worth it to keep our entertainment going!
Great service! When they worked on my PC they got it up and running just a day after they got the necessary part in. My technician was very nice considering he cleaned the pins on my CPU for free when he couldve easily added a $100 fee on it. Not to mention he was very knowledgeable and gave me decent brand suggestions about my motherboard and a few other suggestions. Thanks!
Good place to go for repairs or new hardware. Pretty fast and good customer service. Would use them again and I would suggest them. They do all they can to be sure and get you what you are looking for.
I recently built a new gaming computer that sadly would not boot up. After too many hours trying to figure it out I brought it to Tech 2U. Was told weeks earlier as I started to get parts for a new PC build that tech2u could do a water cooling loop. Called a month later, got cost, mulled it over for a weekend. Brought all the parts in. Local store got said it would likely go up to a larger store for assembly. called a few days later, was told to come get the parts because no one with experience working with hardline was available; the folks who were available were eager to learn, but not on a client system.Pro’s: The team was eager to do it. But there was a steep learning curve that didn’t allow for the training.Cons: had to find someone else to do the work at a higher cost.
I was well taken care with Bob over at Tech 2. I’m a Realtor band in the height of the market my computer just looked me out after many long calls with Microsoft nothing. Found Tech2. And in seconds from entering he was able to do all the things need that Microsoft apparently could not do! I am so thankful for his knowledge and skills. They saved me and my business
My computer needed a new video card. I brought it to Rob and shared some diagnostics. He listened to my concerns and ordered a new video card, which was fairly priced and arrived in less than a week. He installed it the day it arrived, and I picked up my desktop that night. Since then, its worked just fine, and my computer purrs like a kitty cat. I highly recommend Tech2U and will use them again.

Power outage killed our computer. Took it into the computer guy. Hard drive fried, price to fix it was good but since it was an older all in one we opted to just replace it.Cost to have it diagnosed : ZERO!Not sure how they stay in business but for sure will our business next time we have an issue
I bought my PC from Best Buy 1 year ago, I brought it to the Geek Squad after it had crashed and would not boot up. I was told it was a hardware issue and it would have to be sent to North Carolina for repairs and would take at least 6 weeks. Instead I decided to dropped it off at the Solano Computer Guy. He was very professional and knowledgeable. It turned out to be a software update problem and only took a day to fix after looking at it. I wish I would have had him build my PC instead of buying it from Best Buy. Next time I will. I will recommend him to everyone I know.

Im more disappointed than anything. I was having a problem with a couple keys on my laptop popping off, so I had taken it in to see if I could get it professionally fixed. The man had told me that I was looking at $199 for labor, plus any additional charges for new parts. It seemed expensive, but I was willing to pay for it. He had me leave my laptop with him (I dropped it off on a Friday), and he said he would call me Wednesday. However, Wednesday came and went and I had to call Thursday afternoon to see what was going on. He hadnt even looked at my laptop and even asked what was the problem with it again? I tried to understand he was just busy, so I agreed to let him keep it for another day as he told me he would make a note and call me back Friday morning. So Friday came and went :) No calls, no emails, nothing. At this point, I was over it, so come Monday morning, I called and told them I would be in to pick it up. The man on the other line tried telling me the diagnostic would be done in the afternoon, but I felt like they had more than enough chances to even glance at it. I brought it home and managed to find a site online that sold new keys and came with all 3 parts. I ended up spending $24.46 for 2 keys, had to wait a little over a week and it only took me about 40 minutes to fix them. I wouldve waited for the shop and paid them what they asked, but Im disappointed they gave me the runaround and ignored me twice when they had given me days that they would call me. I wouldve been fine with them calling and saying we havent gotten to it yet, but we will soon! Leaving me in the dark wasnt acceptable. Hopefully others have a better experience

Professional Service and fast turn around. I just needed some hardware installed so i didnt need a diagnostic, which allowed my system to be finished the same day. Will definitely return to this shop for future computer work.
Friendly, however it took about a month before the computer was diagnosed, and we had to call for an update. It ended up being too expensive and not worth the repair.

Got me set up fast and what I needed great work
I’m very disappointed. I brought my MacBook in to be diagnosed as it started to slow down quite a bit. (6 minute start up time). I was told that my hard drive was starting to fail and that I’d need a new one. They grossly tried to over charge me for the repair so I declined. I guess that upset them because as I’m writing this review it’s been over an hour and my computer is still on the start up page. Their website says that the most expensive shop rate is $199, and yet they were trying to charge me $250. They quoted me a new hard drive at $180, yet I bought one for $100. There was no data recovery required since I saved everything to 2 external drives, and I ended up doing the job myself saving a ridiculous amount of money. 6 minutes to put the new drive in, then just letting the OS install cost me $112 (new drive and a small tool kit). Even if I didn’t do it myself and went somewhere else it would’ve cost me HALF of what they wanted to charge. Again just really disappointed because they were highly recommended by friends and coworkers. I hope nobody else had the same issue that I did.

Dropped off laptop for a software issue after Windows Update. Couldnt restore previous version of Windows, couldnt retrieve any of my stored data. Reimaged laptop to factory defaults. Cost $250 which seems excessive for a factory dump that I probably couldve done myself with a second laptop and CD. Also pretty bummed all of my MSI performance software was not reinstalled for me so now I have to deal with that headache. Additionally didnt realize that I left my MicroSD plugged in, but that was somehow wiped entirely. Price doesnt match the service in my mind. Just be prepared to spend before you drop off for a quote
