We had a great experience taking our kids for ice cream. Nate was wonderful and very patient with our kids. He went out of his way to help us pick ice cream flavors for them. He had a smile was very kind with us through the process. Great customer service skills. Definitely an asset to this company. We will be back.

Delicious every time! I love the ice cream here! They have dine-in and you can also get ice cream at the counter. Try the orange float! It was the pretty dessert to enjoy on a hot summer day and I was able to enjoy it while driving. The cream here is amazing and nothing like it on Earth!

This place has some amazing flavors of ice cream. When I walked into this store I was amazed on how this place can be filled with so many people. Of course, having to go on a weekend, there would obviously be more people. I gotten the peach and mango flavors and let me tell you. It was the best ice cream I have tasted. I hoped it Id fresh though I unsure if it is homemade fresh ice cream. This place will not disappoint. If you have kids this place is the best place to have family night outs for dinner. And definitely after eating a meal getting this ice cream is a go to.

Went here to have lunch. Place is clean including the bathrooms. My partner had the Fentons club sandwich which was a 3 decker and very tasty. I had the chili dog with golden fries, and the chili was very good. Service was excellent. The only down side was that there were flies buzzing us and our food and that really turned me off, and our menu had some food smear on the bottom. Otherwise the prices are way up there for our town compared to other eating establishments, but thats what you get at the premium outlets. I believe most people traveling through from the city are used to those prices.

My wife was craving ice cream so on our way back to Bay Area, we decided to stop by Fenton’s. I used to have fond memories of sharing and eating banana splits with folks at the location in Oakland more than a decade ago.A “petite” size ice cream cup was $5.95 so we opted for a better value “single” at $6.95. Wifey had her eyes set on Coffee Cookie Dream and I wanted something with cherries in it so I got Bing Cherries. What I really wanted was something like Cherry Garcia from Ben & Jerry’s. This one had some resemblance, but not close. While my stomach was satisfied, my taste buds were disappointed. The Coffee Cookie Dream had a lot of Oreo-like cookies and some “cookie dough-like” substance in there. The initial taste was nice, but with so much cookie-dough stuff that it felt like too much even half way through. Not sure if their quality has changed or our taste buds have evolved. I am not sure if I’ll visit again. =(

The menu is big and the prices are significant given the portion sizes ($14-$15 for a burger that I could get cheaper at a local place). However, the milkshakes are GREAT. Thick, creamy. I got the banana nut shake, though I also tried the strawberry shortcake shake. Worth the lactose intolerance.

Super quick service today. The rueben was great. We got the kids their favorite banana split and we got the Black and Tan. I don’t know why we think we can finish two sundaes between the four of us. Every year we try. Maybe as the kids get bigger they can help us finish ours.

Today I went here with some childhood friends that flew down from Florida. We were all excited to meet there to have lunch and delicious ice cream. We ordered our lunches everyone got their stuff and I had to wait 20 more for mine to arrive STRIKE ONE, then we ordered out ice cream they gave me the wrong flavor and the wrong whip cream STRIKE TWO. Not a good experience Today as one of my favorite places to go for Iced cream.

Ive been going here since I was really young and its always been great! When I came here with my brother yesterday it was our first time here in a while, seeing the nut tree was pretty nostalgic. Our server was really nice and the food came out very quickly. Fentons is a great restaurant that Id recommend to anyone

This is a great place to bring the family. The menu is diverse, and of course, the desserts are delicious. They also have outside dining and are close to find shopping if you have to wait to get in. If youre wondering what kind of food youll find there, its great American diner foods.Its a little on the pricey side, though; so if youre looking for a budget eatery, this might not be the place to go.

Lackluster staff, unclean tables and surrounding areas, and underwhelming food. First off, there was trash (napkins and smashed jam packets) on the floors under each booth. Next there was a hair in one of our drinks (it happens, just accounting for it). The burger I ordered came out burnt and very tough, which was then overcompensated by being smothered in sauce. My wifes sandwich meat was very dry also. Lastly, all the silverware they brought to the table still had food on it and was dirty. The Milkshake and fries were great and the only reason for the extra star. My advice would be to only come here for desserts.

We were seated quickly. The service was fast and good. The food was tasty. Paul was a great server. The modifications to the food and dessert orders were easy. Definitely worth coming back to; I liked the brownie in the brownie sundae. If you can only do one, food or dessert, do dessert but I recommend both.

We always get the Jumbo Swiss Milk Chocolate with Jersey topping since trying it back in 1987 at the Oakland location....no reason to get anything else. Although this time we had actual food and was not disappointed. Their food menu definitely improved. Western bacon cheeseburger with sweet potato fries and onion rings was awesome!

We had caramel crunch ice cream with jersey sauce and it was delicious. The service was very good.

Whaaat holy big scoops !! Amazing flavors and awesome service. When was the last time you had real metal test spoons for ice cream?? Well this place does..!! Get a real size test of the flavor you want. As well as be surprised by all of their awesome flavors. Definitely a cool spot 👌 👍

I ordered the Fentons-Cheeseburger and the Banana Junior. I was not entirely happy with the burger; it was too cooked for my taste. But the Banana Junior, very pleased, indeed. For my little one, I order the Kids-burger and the childs ice cream, happy with the last one, though I am still not satisfied with burgers in this place. I guess indisputably I prefer this place just for sweet treats

Always great. Crab melt is excellent and there golden fries were perfectly crisp. The Jr. Banana Split was outstanding, I always ask for butter pecan ice cream instead of the normal flavors.

The food was really good including dessert. We went at a very busy time but they hussled to make it all work out. If something doesnt go as planned, they will make it right.

I liked the one in Oakland better. I got the saddleback, which is my usual, but. The ice cream was a little off. It was a bit frost bitten. Like it has melted previously and refrozen. But. Staff was great. Warm and friendly. Just a little disappointed in the product. Maybe I just had an off night

I did not feel the love and will not return. I hate to give a bad review to Fentons, one of my favorite ice cream restaurants, but the day I went the service was sub par. I had to grab someone to even bring us water. I believe they just did not have enough servers for the amount of people who were there. That soured my experience to the point where I will only go to the Oakland Fentons from here on out. Get it together, Fentons Vacaville.

Has the feel of an old school creamery. Decent burgers and sandwiches but save room for dessert as that’s what this place is all about.

I really enjoyed my visit to Fentons creamery, the family too, we arrived around 5 pm and it was very crowdy, we had to wait around 20 minutes to be seated, our order was taken within 5 minutes which was-Crab sandwich-Fish sandwich-Mac & cheese for the kids-The food came within 10-15 minutes and it was cooked to perfection, tasty and full of flavor, i loved my crab sandwich which was crabmeat, lemon and mayo stuffed between 2 toasted loafs.-The fish sandwich was a fried Cod on a french roll and added cream of tartar.-the kids really enjoyed their time as they were given color and a coloring sheet to occupy their time.-And since they were famous for their ice cream then we HAD to try it out, we ordered the mint chip(St..Patrick) which was a combination of chocolate and mint ice cream which was equally tasty especially with the melted chocolate at the bottom m.-We will definitely be back to try out their other dishes-Im only giving it 4 instead of 5 for the waiting time apart from that the food and service was top notch

Soooo Disappointed.☹I went today gor a birthday celebration and ordered the Chicken Salad sandwich. The bread was DRY and the Chicken Salad mushy and did not taste fresh.

So many flavors, its a little overwhelming! Everyone in my party was able to get what they wanted. Their 3-scoop pints are amazing for mixing flavors. We would definitely come back if we pass through again. So worth the detour.

GREAT ice cream place! This is a classic old ice cream shoppe for today. You can order sandwiches or just ice cream. They make the ice cream right there in the store. The portions of the scoops of ice cream and sundaes, banana splits etc are HUGE! They offer a childs scoop and a small and up and if you eat a sandwich, a childs scoop is enough for most. They have chicken fingers, grilled cheese, hamburgers and their famous crab sandwich. I wouldnt go here if you are trying to have an intimate conversation because this place is lively. Plan on a wait if you go at popular meal times. They offer indoor and some outside tables. You can now call ahead if you have a large group and tell them the number of people in your party so they can start to set up and your wait time can begin. We just came after church with a large group and they were more than accommodating as our group grew throughout the afternoon they added tables and even moved us twice! Taylor was our waitress and she did a phenomenal job keeping all the orders straight, keeping my drink refilled without my having to ask and just being very attentive to detail. Fenton’s is located in a huge outside shopping mall and next door to a popular jelly bean store and a short train track. There is a small jungle gym like area for kids to play on also. Highly recommend!

Brought my two grandkids here for a late luncg, as I always fo when theyre in town to visit. Waited 20 minutes for a table. After our server took our order we never saw her again. Asked another server for assistance, she replied with an attitude and said she would let out server know. Ive visited this place several times whenever my grandkids are in town, this is the first time Ive experienced such horrible service. After spending close to $75, I need to find a new place to take my grandkids!!

June 4th 2021Our dinner was very good, our waiter was very nice but EVERYTHING changed after I went up to the ice cream counter and the large black lady Q working behind the counter ruined the whole evening. I wanted to check out the ice cream myself and she asked me What was I doing I told her I was looking at the ice cream and she told me they were closed. I told her we were still eating and she again told me we are closed she said what part of THAT dont you understand. she said she watched me walk thru the roped off area, told me to go back to my table, I went to leave, she told me to use the other door and was very rude, I went to the other door that was locked and she raised her voice and basically scolded me and proceeded to tell me how to unlock the door. We spoke with the manager and he was very apologetic, willing to serve us the ice cream himself, I was so upset that we didnt get any. The manager did take 25 % off of our bill. He said Q normally doesnt work the night shift - as far as Im concerned Q shouldnt be working with the public !!

Was there this morning to get icecream and took over half an hour for someone to just tell is theyd be back to help us and 10 mins later we left because they never came back. Went home and decided to Uber eats it with onion rings added on. The driver only came with onion rings and said they told them that was it. Paid extra to have it all sent direct so it wouldnt melt. I cant believe yall are that incompetent to do a 10 second thing and scoop out some icecream.

We took our daughter here on our way to taking her back to school. It was great! We ordered too much food but enjoyed it. I had the turkey reuben and they split a burger and a Cobb salad. The reuben was perfect. Not too much sauerkraut or thousand island dressing. We had to share a sundae for dessert. It wasnt exactly what we ordered but was still yummy.

I just go there for free samples and end up buying alot.

Very very pricey. We had a couple 2 scoup sundaes at $15.00 each. The ice cream was alright, nothing to write home about, but there was very little toppings. Not impressed for $15 dollars each. Wont be back.

The ice cream here is great. The food so far, ive had the grilled ham and cheese, excellent! I would give them 5 stars, maybe even 10, but tonight i was craving some toasted almond ice cream, and google maps says they’re open till 9. I walk up to the door, the door says they’re open till 9. It is 8:15. There are 2 employees in there cleaning (vigorously from what i can tell) and the doors are locked. I checked both.Not sure if there were any other doors. Its just frustrating when a business isn’t open when they say they will be!! I can understand, 5 even 15 minutes early, or late, but nearly an hour. I don’t see why its so hard to maybe just write up a little sign saying they’ve closed early. Some managers and owners say its tacky. But closing early without communicating to your patrons is far tackier. . I had even planned on leaving a large tip because someone brought to my attention that door dash only tips the dashers, and not the employees of the businesses, and i often order through door dash (obviously, i wont use them until something changes, but that is a different rant for a different review). Oh well, what a bummer. 😞

Theres not enough spectacular things to say about this restaurant, considering that this would take up my entire review. 😂😂 The ambience and atmosphere was pretty freaking amazing, and be warned that on weekends, especially Saturday, Fentons will get pretty darn crowded, but after eating here for the very first time, I can definitely see why! I would highly recommend ordering the mushroom swiss burger, the fries, and most importantly, the strawberry milkshake! Me, my sister, and my mother decided to eat here for a quick lunch after we did some shopping, and altogether, we enjoyed it! I never did get the waiters name, but he was extremely friendly and was willing to get us whatever we needed, and thats whats up! I ended up having to take some of my shake home because it was so huge 😂😂. This place is always the go to if you are looking for extra creamy ice cream! I ended up getting the raspberry swirl and the chocolate swirl as well. Definitely a good mixture if you havent had them together before. Thats only the two scoop size as well.
