Love they Are a block away and an easy trip, and that they have propane. But I feel like they might “fair” better if they lowered the prices of the fresh veggies and dairy that always looks like it’s seen better days. Maybe they would sell quicker, instead of sitting there going bad because they are so expensive? Also maybe be open the hours you say you’ll be open? Ive gone there countless times 15-45 minutes before 10:00 pm, the posted closing time, and was so disappointed they were closed. Just a couple thoughts. I’m no business major tho.
Great customer service and wide selection of products. Good to buy from a local business instead of a chain grocery store.
Not a place to get like real shopping but good for a quick stop
Employees are very polite and helpful
Its going out of business.
This place is just sad and depressing.
Miss this place its so nice & friendly family owned but we go by every time we r in Vacaville
Clean and well stocked with fresh items.
I love the customer service. If youre looking for DRY items or CANNED goods. You should be OK. Keep in mind these are convenient store prices so its a bit more expensive. There freezer bunkers DO NOT WORK. Nothing is frozen in the ice cream section (main reason I went in today with it being 100°) the meat is old and so are the cakes you can tell upon appearance. It could be because of the pandemic though. Like I said. The customer service is great.
Staff is the best around. Im disabled and I went there to get a heavy item 30 pack Bud I was carrying it while on crutches. The older gentleman that works there came and took it it from me. After he rang me up he told the other customers to give him a minute and he took it to my car for me. I just moved to Vacaville 3 months ago after my accident and the place is down the street. Loyal customer from now on.
Small home town family grocery store with friendly and helpful staff. Good service and the selection of foods is good. I stop in here often. Also with the concern of PGE blackouts and for parties and camping trips they are handy as they stock ice. :)
A truly old school grocery store that reminds me of shopping with my grandma. Some really good deals if you dont mind looking around and the cigarettes are the cheapest in town by far.
Excellent hidden gem. Would recommend to everyone. Customer service beats any store and Paul is wonderful.
Nice people and good selection of items
I had a full basket of groceries and I had to use the restroom and they said no so I put most of the groceries back which they didnt care about and they also charged me for stuff that wasnt mine and were upset when I told them it was not mine that it belonged to the people behind me and give me a little trouble when I didnt want to pay for stuff that belonged to a stranger!?! I dont think they care about customer service.
As soon as I walked in this store, I was greeted by a putrid, moldy smell (like old meat). Most of the food didnt look fresh. The interior of the store was dirty. However, the exterior/parking lot was clean and the staff was extremely friendly. But thats about all thats going for this place. Overall, this is not a very good store to shop at and I would seriously advise staying away unless you absolutely need something from here.
Quick stop in case you forget something. Fresh items arent so fresh... Owners and staff are very friendly.
Sure, some of the produce is less than fresh, but Food Fair is a neighborhood fixture in North Vacaville. Its been around for ages. Theyre open 365 days a year, so if you forget halfway through Thanksgiving that you forgot Aunt Sallys secret ingredient in the stuffing, theyre going to be there for you. You can pick up just about any alcohol there, too. One of the better grocery store liquor departments in town.I dont know who owns the entire Glenbrook Center where Food Fair is located, but every morning, without exception, there are people out there picking up trash and sweeping the lot. They do not stop until the entire facility is spotless. Its a detail that likely goes overlooked by most of us, but I drive by every morning and see the care that goes into making sure this lot is always clean.
Good for cigarettes, alcohol and lottery, and fast shopping trips. Not so good for actual food (selection, price or freshness).
Great little store owners r so friendly treat u like friends instead of shoppers
The only grocer that we have been able to count on in NW Vacaville
Horrible customer service! They dont even take checks. My elderly mother couldnt get any kind of help at all. Crummy place and way too expensive.:-(
They have the hard to find items.. good people own it!
Stay away... Old meat and bad smell as you walk in the door.. OVER PRICED...
Is a very nice neighborhood grocery store and clean
Family owned, quick service, great spot if you live in north Vacaville.
No lines. In and out in 15 minutes.
Definitely needs an upgrade or working automatic doors
Food Fair is a landmark and a staple . Ive shopped here for as long as I can remember.
Havent been here since 1985 but it was a cool store !!
Good prices love this store
Vegetables are not so fresh and are so expensive. But if you dont have any choice and forgot something, you can buy few things from here. Staffs are very friendly though.
They actually found a way to charge EBT users for a bag! Can you believe that it actually has an F next it for food and deduct it from your food stamps. Which is illegal.
Always friendly and polite..
Friendly staff & they carry a lot of items you cant find at other stores
Clode by, good prices
