May 2021, I purchased my new baby, a 2020 Santa Fe which I absolutely LOVE! The manager Derrick Jordan is absolutely amazing from the time I purchased my car and still to this day. He’s on top of his staff and strives to make sure every customer is 100% satisfied with their purchase. Jeff was super helpful and efficient when it came to reprogramming my key. Also, on the service side everyone was friendly and helpful especially Isaiah Washington, who was patient with me with my questions and concerns! I spent this past Saturday afternoon at the Hyundai dealer in Valley Stream where salesman Karl Williams spent a good amount of time with me going over the different Palisades models. He is very knowledgeable about all of the cars at Hyundai. He was patient and answered all of my questions. He has excellent customer service skills and is worth speaking to if you are in the market to trade in, finance or lease a car.

I dont know where all these good reviews came from but I definitely do not have a great review of this place.This place lacks great customer service. The sales department has people who will waste your time and try to force you out of your livable means so they can close a deal on a car.The service department held my car hostage for 3 days, overcharged me and had no loaner cars available severely inconveniencing me. They also hadnt finished the job because they ordered the wrong but what they said didnt work actually did work. So thats how I am currently still waiting on a refund for that part and labor currently.The sales department was so desperate that they pulled my credit to 7 different banks putting 7 hard checks on my credit which does affect it contrary to their beliefs.I wouldnt recommend this place to anybody.

Called up about a car I saw on cargurus to confirm the price and schedule appointment the same day. When I got there the price jumped 3k refused to budge on price wasted 3 hours of my time
After my car was towed to south shore service on Monday Sept 27th due to a seized engine. I have not yet received a diagnostic or a call back from the service center. I call several times a day. I opened a case with corporate. I am waiting for their support. For 5 days I have not received a loaner or a rental and i have an extended warranty Take your business elsewhere. This is unacceptable.

Do not go to this dealership! We made a reservation to check out a car, called before we left to confirm the car hasn’t been sold and what happens………we get there and it was sold. Apparently it was sold 3 days earlier and no one informed us when we called to confirm. So we drove an hour one way for no reason. The sales people are clueless and don’t know if they have the car or not. They don’t care about the customers- they rather hang out and chat with one another. The manager is rude and when the issue was brought to him he looked at us and said car is sold. That’s it! No apology! No interest in trying to help us find a different car! The cars might be great but the dealership is not worth the hassle.
Fraudulent business, stay FAR away. Stephen sold me a vehicle with NO OIL and NO OIL DIPSTICK to check said oil. Finally got the dipstick, found out i’ve been running the engine BONE DRY. Entire drive train fell apart. South Shore is taking ZERO RESPONSIBILITY. $3500+ in damages only 5 months of owning the car. Ian and Dereck are the managers, again STAY AWAY. Pure fabricators and they’re experts at it. They will blacklist your phone number and know exactly when to avoid you. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND SAVE YOURSELF A MASSIVE HEADACHE. My lawyer will be exposing this fraudulent dealership for their unprofessional practices.

Horrendous. When we inquired about a vehicle, the problems began. We worked with Rinku.We asked to put a deposit on a car - we were told we needed to fill out a credit check prior to deposit, but that they wouldnt run the credit until we came in. They ran our credit immediately and did not take the deposit even after we asked to confirm it.We came in to see the car, and asked to proceed. The finance manager was not there, and the car wasnt inspected or ready - why would none of this be prepared or done before we came in? They were very disorganized and unprepared. When we asked if there was ANYTHING else we needed prior to moving forward, they said we were good to go - not true.We were instructed the next day to get insurance for the car prior to pickup - which we did. 2 hours after we insured the car, they called us and said they found electrical issues with the car. Are you kidding me? We had just spent hours and hundreds of dollars insuring a car they said was ready to go.From start to finish, an absolute nightmare. Rinku was the worst and least informative salesperson we have ever worked with. I would fire her in a heartbeat if she worked at my company.To be fair - Ronald Jones (product specialist) - intervened and was a pleasure to work with while we had the chance - but it did not make up for the poor organization and lack of clarity throughout the process.

I spent a morning with Karl Williams helping me secure a lease on a Ioniq Hybrid Plug-in. He did a thorough job and worked hard at getting me a good price and the requests I made. I was able to get my car in one day. This is my second Ioniq and I am very pleased with its performance. Marcus, the financial guy, was also nice and well prepared. I would use the services of all of them again and recommend Hyundai of Valley Stream.

Ill tell you what I made a mistake buying car here by making cash down payment 07/23/2021 I purchased a 2021 accent SEL from the show room was told getting a rebate of a 1000 off car initial price was 19k was supposed to pay 18k if not carefully check your contract when they added the + 2k tax equal now should be 20k finance guy put 22k check on your contract top right second page should say the total amount vehicle cost plus tax thats where they are adding their own numbers in to put in their pocket on their way to the cashier..check you down payment deduction and rebate then calculate your add on and fees to find the finace amount ...Finance guys and sales guys are working together ripping you off be careful they smile with you like everything going well ..Im pressing a law suit 07/26/2021 taking the car for free
They would not get back to me.Took a test drive. The next week I called to discuss the vehicle and potential purchase.Three attempts no one gets back to you! I tracked down the manager’s email. He promised a call from “my best salesperson.” It never came. I emailed again. It never came. Should I beg someone to spend $40,000? Daquone was honest and very professional. Smiles all over the place and just a great attitude. Lisa provided her financial knowledge and did not hard-sell, but listened to the packages I wanted and explained the differences. It has to be hard dealing with customers all day, but Daquone and Lisa have a great attitude, and I will refer friends to them without a doubt.
What a terrible place. My loved one was in tears at how he was treated. Needed a car and was in a very vulnerable financial position. After several months of having a really bad experience at this Hyundai location i decided to give them a second chance and let me tell you that it was the worst mistake ever. i made an appointment for maintenance and a factory recall on my vehicle once i was there i waited 20 plus minutes to be seen and for them to ask where did i get my vehicle from and maybe i qualify for a loaner in a month because is to much work for them, please dont bother with this location and dont just go by the good reviews.
DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE! I am telling you one more time: do not! Because this place almost scammed me. I went there to buy a certified pre owned car and sales ppl told me the car I liked was certified. at the moment I was signing paper work,the finance guy tried to sell me a package for certification and I was shocked because all the paper work they provided said the car was certified. I was there for 7h and I have already gave them down payment before signing papers(it was my mistake), but then it took a whole month to get on a hold with someone to get my refund. It was bad- terrible. I called couple times the Hyundai desk and they were laughing and hanging up on me. I had to involve a friend talk to them because they started not answering my texts or calls/emails. This was so suspicious. They kept saying I’ll get a refund everyday and they didn’t even start the process until my lawyer friend stepped in. It was a terrible experience and I will never step my foot in there again. I’ll keep telling everyone how bad they are… I have all paper work proof and emails &texts I submitted t my bank. Hyundai should be ashamed of how terrible they are.

When I went to pick up the vehicle, its filthy, no spare key, gas cap is busted and this is a Certified Pre Own? Complete lack of courtesy and customer service. Think twice before wasting your valuable time and money here. Management needs a complete overhaul. Whoever is in charge of this dealership should be ashamed of themselves. Your employees and salespeople are a reflection of you!

Terrible experience here. Had an oil leak with my veloster which they claimed they had to do an oil consumption test 5 times to confirm it was an oil leak. After they did it 5 times they still never fixed the issue. Also I asked on multiple occasions to have my car diagnosed for other problems and each time I brought it to them they said it was fine. I moved to Syracuse about a month ago and my check engine light came on. Took it to the dealership here and they fully diagnosed the car. Fixed all the problems it had including the oil leak. And it only took them ONE DAY! Please take your hard earned money somewhere else and save yourself time.
Absolutely avoid at all costs. Terrible customer service, and incredibly unprofessional. I bought a car there and they said they would handle getting license plates (I’m out of state), in fact I had no choice. The dealer plates they gave me only lasted a month, and they kept delaying getting me actual plates. The salesman kept ignoring my calls. Everyone else would say “Just go to the DMV”. I ended up going, but of course the dealership had the title and there was nothing they could do. After dozens of calls, they finally got me my license plates, 3 DAYS AFTER the temporary registration expired. They blamed covid and staffing. I didn’t drive the car during this time, through no fault of my own. Take your business elsewhere because they will say whatever you want to hear until they take your money.

Service is the absolute worst. 20k mile Tucson transmission needed replacement. Had to wait 1 month to get a loaner, over 2 months for my car to be ready. I arrive several days after they told me it was ready, then had wait over an hour because it was not ready. Mixed messages and inaccurate status updates on the car for the entire 2 months. Do not go here.Update: now the car is leaking fluid a week later.

February 13, 2021 was my second encounter with South Shore Hyundai. I must sing the praises of the staff that worked for hours to make sure I was driving off in my new vehicle the next day. They were outstanding!! From the moment I walked in the sales person, Yesenia C. was courteous, knowledgeable and on point! She was my ange!! I called this location because this is where I leased my car. I needed a copy of my bill of sale because my insurance was asking for it about two weeks ago. They reached out to me through text message and said I need to call the financial customer service department which I did. I waited about an hour on the phone for the representative to tell me that the dealership were the ones who can help me. I then called this location. The woman who picked up kept calling me Ashley when my name is Andrea and then when I asked for my bill of sale she said that I should already have the copies and I told her I no longer had them and I asked her is she can provide me with copies and she asked me who my financial advisor was. I said I didn’t know because this was about a year ago. She then proceeded to give me Attitude and took my number and said someone would be in contact with me. It’s been about two weeks and yet no one has contacted me. So please tell me how this is good customer service6/14/21 as an update they never reached out to me. I ended up finding out my insurance needed my window sticker which was never provided to me upon purchase. I called multiple times for them to tell me I needed a manager. I then called another two times and I never spoke with a manager because he was “just too busy” I spoke with a lady she was really nice asked me for my email so she can send me my window sticker and never did I receive this email. I had to drive out to south Hyundai which is an hour away from where I live to sit down with a gentleman who never said hi who just told me to sit and took him about 5 minute to print out my window sticker. He never needed a manager or anything to give me my copy. He then proceeded to tel me my dealer was supposed to send out everything my insurance and he never did and that’s why he no longer was employed there then the young gentlemen gave me his card and said oh if I bring someone to purchase a car I would get 300 dollars. But why would I recommend someone for this whole experience
Immediately fell in love with this dealership. Upon entering we were greeted by Kendell who asked what we were looking for and introduced us to Niki who showed us exactly what we wanted and for the right price. We finished our paperwork with Julio-has a Barry White voice.. Down to earth people!! We will back for our next car!!!

Absolutely horrendous dealership. Their website listed that they had four of the vehicles that were were interested in, so we made an appointment and went on the 1 hour commute to take it in for a test drive.When we got there, a random salesperson took over, even though we had an appointment with a completely different person who had all of the context. We told him we were interested in a specific trim line, and so he walks us over to the highest trim line possible and proceeds to recite the MSRP of that one to us. Class upsell, but luckily we can read, so we pushed to see the trim we were actually interested in. He walked us over to another car with the second-highest trim, and basically refused to let us test drive anything else, claiming it was the same car.Despite the salespersons lack of helpfulness, we ended up test driving the second-highest trim car, and then walked inside to hopefully discuss some numbers. Instead, the salesperson refused to give us any numbers, and demanded that we first give him a credit card and a commitment to go through with the deal first. Well, we never test drove the car with the trim that we wanted, and we didnt have any numbers in front of us, so it was a bit of a leap of faith to commit to anything at that point. So we asked to test drive the exact car + trim that we came for in the first place. He initially laughed us off (really questionable sales tactic), claiming (again) that its the same car (hint: its not), but we refused to move forward until we knew exactly how the car we would potentially buy felt.We walked back outside, and drove around a parking garage and a mall parking lot looking for the trim that we specifically were looking for. At this point, the salesperson (who had no clue about the stock), kept saying the ones we were finding were not for sale. So at the end of a 15 minute wild goose chase, he concluded that there are no more cars with that trim in stock. Which begs the question: what in the hell were we committing to if we had given him our credit card inside the dealership?I wish I could say there was a silver lining to all of this, but unfortunately, it was a 2 hour roundtrip commute, with a wasted 2.5 hours at one of the worst dealerships Ive ever step foot in.
Being a hyaundi owner for over 5 years I am extremely disappointed. Being 24, I went in returning my lease hoping to stay with hyaundi and get another car. I was completely taken advantage of. I went in saying I want to lease another car no money down like I have been with my other cars. The finance guy saw I was a young girl not really knowing much & completely took advantage of me. He had charged my mother’s credit card 3,000$ after I had already put a $500 deposit down on my credit card. At the moment I thought maybe taxes & fees were that much. After coming home and talking to my mom she proceeded to say there is no way taxes are 3,000 that’s money down. Customer service is terrible. I have been trying to call for the past 3 days and finally when we got in touch with finance he was just throwing numbers at me with nothing adding up to 3,000. Nothing in my contract says what the 3,000 went towards. I am livid. After this lease I will never be going back to hyaundi. I am extremely upset and disappointed.

This was my first time purchasing or leasing a car. I had done a ton of research and had decided that the Hyundai Venue was the car for me. Raffi (Sales) and Gerard (Finance) made the entire process easy for me to understand and even were able to pull some strings to get me the package I was looking for. I was very well prepared for the process to take several hours and everyone at South Shore was very accommodating to make sure I was comfortable. I dont expect the world when I buy a pre-owned car from a dealership. I dont need organic cappuccino or a foot massage – I just want an honest negotiation and a solid car. Unfortunately, Ive learned that an unblemished experience is the exception, not the rule. My visit to South Shore Hyundai was, by far, the best experience Ive ever had at a car dealership. I arrived with a vehicle in mind that I had seen in their online inventory. My Sales Consultant, Paul Munroe, made the car immediately available for a test drive. Back at the dealership, I sat with Paul and his General Sales Manager Robert Rios, and within minutes we had arrived at a mutually agreeable price. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop – the hidden flaw or the buried fee – but it never came. I drove away with a Certified Pre-Owned Tucson at an exceedingly fair price, and my mechanic and I still love the car a month later. Thank you South Shore Hyundai for a great car-buying experience. When my wife and I go looking again, youll be our first stop.

I had a great experience at South Shore Hyundai leasing my 2021 Tucson. My salesman was Daquane Morgan and he carefully listened to my needs and quickly came up with the right vehicle at the right price. I found him to be extremely pleasant, a good listener, and very knowledgeable. Especially important to me, no hard sell tactics were ever used. He was also assisted at times by manager Kendell Kensell, also extremely pleasant, cooperative, polite, and helpful.
We just purchased our first Hyundai, the Elantra N Line, after reading superb reviews about it and wanting to acquire a vehicle with the look and feel of a true sports car. We were also trading in our Pontiac G6. I contacted internet sales at South Shore Hyundai and was quickly connected with Niki who became our in-store Sales Representative. She took us through every step of the process with efficiency and knowledge and made sure everything was completed rather quickly and correctly including the trade in, purchase and a thorough walk-through and demonstration before taking possession of the vehicle. During the sales part of the process they didn’t have an automatic for us to try out but they offered for another team member, Joe, to take us on a test drive in the manual version of the car and was quite knowledgeable about the model, it’s basics and ‘bells and whistles.’ To close the deal we worked with Julio, Business Manager who was also very knowledgeable about the process and explained everything and answered any questions. Both Niki and Julio are a pleasure to work with and we would recommend them to anyone acquiring a vehicle at South Shore Hyundai.

I leased my 2020 Hyundai Palisade limited here back in January with Yesenia ... very excellent service ... she took the time to sit and explain to me the difference in leasing and financing to see what was best for me ... she also made sure I got the amount I wanted for my trade in ! Very great friendly people ... I’ve been recommending this dealer ever since ! Just went for my first oil change yesterday and it was a wonderful quick experience ... I didn’t wait at the dealer like I said I was going to cause with my past experiences at other dealers it always took so long but I got a call within 2 hours later that my car was ready ! Love this place so far ... no complaints from me !
Daquane is the best!!! He wasn’t pushy at all and he was super chill. I went in with a specific budget and he worked with that and even got me down on my payment another couple of bucks. He was awesome. I spent pretty much the whole day there but I didn’t even mind. He was straightforward with me which I appreciated especially since it was my first time leading a car. My mom went in there a couple days ago, NOT looking to purchase just looking for pricing, and they ended up taking her into a room and pretty much forcing a Hyundai down her throat. The girl (the assistant?) was very pushy as was the male salesman. They were way too much. She simply wanted to come in and get an idea of the pricing of the new Hyndais since her lease is soon to be up. This is not the way you treat people. If they come in and ask for a price do not tell them they need to buy the car NOW. We get it. You all make commission… maybe make it a little less obvious next time, and worry about your clients needs, and not only see them as a dollar sign.
Terrible customer service. I had a problem with my car. I went to them twice with the same problem and both times the service was horrible. I had to keep calling them to get an update on my car. When it was time to pick up, never got a call and they closed services. Some of the staff are very rude. Go to a different dealership and save your time.
Absolutely courteous and professional service. Clean and comfortable waiting area and amenities. Joe the Manager is very attentive to customers needs and they are flexible.I’ve been taking my Hyundai Sonata there for service and have had no issues.Keep up the good work Girls and guys.Thank you!

Unfortunate shopping experience at this dealership for someone who was very interested in Hyundai. Made an apt which someone called to confirm and was told over the phone and by email to ask for a certain agent. Walked in an asked for that agent and had a man wave us over to the desk. I told him who my apt was with and he pretended to be that agent! I knew it was not the agent I asked for because he did not know what cars I wanted to test drive. I was unsure of pricing and told him what I was looking for and what our budget was. Test drive two vehicles and asked for pricing on both. Waited 20 mins for him to stand at a desk and get pricing. He came back with one price instead of giving me pricing on two models at two different levels (4 prices). Told me to go to the Nissan or Kia dealership for a cheap car and yelled at me for touching his pricing sheet. Needless to say (I walked in there ready to buy) - I will NOT be purchasing from this dealership only because of their business practices and service.
Both Lisa and Julio are amazing! They were professional, patient and extremely informative, a pleasure to deal with. Both are an asset to South Shore Hyundai.

During my recent visit with your store, my purchase experience was lengthy but not in a negative way . It was simply because between the Account Julio and Sales Person Yesenia we’re both beyond professional and efficient. In all honesty they treated me and my family like family. I was not sent home feeling cheated or forced into purchasing a vehicle I wasn’t happy with. Yesenia And Julio went above and beyond and the service is second to none. Great prices and people.
This is the worst dealership I have ever dealt with, their pricing is absolutely ridiculous, the prices you see online are at least 2000 less than what they will ask, so just a way to get you in. Also they are slow in returning your deposit, I had to wait two weeks. If you want a good buying experience do NOT use this dealership!
This is my fourth lease with South Shore Hyundai it was a pleasant experience as it should be. My salesman Stephan Benesoczky was more than helpful. He went out of his way to make sure all the details were taken care of. If I called or texted Stephan (even on his day off) he responded. What a pleasure to deal with!!! I recently leased a vehicle at South Shore Hyundai. However, the transaction wasn’t the sweetest deal. I didn’t look at the fine print my bad on that part of the down payment. What I didn’t read was the added sales tax. The sales person Rikku should have also verbally reinforced that the sales tax would be additional expense even though I left a significant down payment. After agreeing to the poor lease Rikku never reviewed the features of the vehicle. Just put on the plates gave me the keys and walked away. After my four-star evaluation, Rikku called me to complain about the review. I said your lucky it wasn’t three stars. Better yet stay away from South Shore Hyundai of Valley Stream and take your business elsewhere shop at a reputable dealership.
Terrible sales experience, arrived at 9am and didn’t leave till 5pm literally waited around all day as my deal was done at 12. All salesman do is ok you to death and move on to what they were doing
I had truly an exceptionally experience getting into a new car at South Shore Hyundai. From the moment I walked into the dealership I was taken care of. My salesperson Niki Mastrandricos was wonderful. She asked me what I was interested in, brought both options up for me to test drive, and did not hesitate once to help me or answer my questions. She truly cared about what my needs were and what I wanted. I ultimately went with the 2019 Sonata Hybrid Plug in and one of the main reasons was because Niki herself has a plug in as well. She was extremely knowledgeable and educated about the vehicle and made me feel confident in my decision, especially getting into a vehicle I myself did not know anything about. I can’t say enough kind words about Niki or South Shore Hyundai. The paperwork process was quick, everything was well explained to me, and Niki even answered my questions when the process was finished. I will be going back to South Shore when my lease is up and I would recommend them and Niki to any and all of my family and friends. Thank you SO much again! I absolutely love my car!!
I went to this dealership for servicing (tires & an inspection) and truly had a wonderful experience. I called other Hyundai dealerships around the Queens area and they were all unable to accommodate a tire change but South Shore had the tires in stock. Tanya (who I believe was the office manager) was exceptional; from booking to service provided, she was great. Will definitely go back for future maintenance.
Could I give a zero or negative stars, I would. Amazing 2 dealerships, Millenium Hyundai and South Shore. Both owned by the same people, run away from South Shore. Lies, deceptive and terrible experiences.
Recently I purchased my leased car through South Shore Hyundai. I did not get good deal from them at all with compare to other dealer. Also, their dealings were so unprofessional. I paid full car price in cash but South Shore Hyundai did not update my information with Hyundai Finance. Still I am receiving letter from Hyundai Finance to return their car. I tried to contact my Sales Associate(Mr. Morgan) and they said he will call me back. Unfortunately, he never called me back. I am totally disappointed by their service. I am not going to suggest anybody to choose this dealer.
I got my 2020 Sonata leased at a different location, but I live right near South Shore Hyundai. So, I called in to make a regular service appointment and Tanya was friendly and very professional. When I got in, everything was very quick and easy, I sat in the lounge and used the free wifi to work, and I was out of there in less than an hour. I felt cared about and like I was dealing with people who treated me with importance.
Recommend not buy here if you wanna pay all at once by cash. $12,000 will be able to be $18,000 as an OTD. I bought the one in better condition and $1,000 cheaper with Long city Hyundai three weeks ago. Thank you for supporting me anyway Mr. karl :)
South Shore Hyundai is an amazing dealership. I purchased my Hyundai this past week from Jonathan O. I walked into the dealership and he greeted himself very professionally. I exlplained what I was looking at and the price range that I wanted to be in.. He showed me all my option and at no point tried to haggle me or up sell me on something higher in price. We test drove 8 plus cars and maintained his professionalism the entire time. Jonathan and the dealership made me feel like family instead of just a person buying a car. Nina the finance manager was amazing as well and got me the best deal possible on the car that I wound up purchasing. Overall this dealership is a 10 Star and wish I could give them 10 stars.. If you go down to the dealership please see Jonathan and he will treat you with the upmost respect.
