I was visiting my sister in law in town last Saturday and she insisted us to visit this store as I was redecorating my home for holidays. Amazing price and variety! I believe the store was almost closing yet the staff let me in. Extremely helpful staff! I was short on cash, instead of letting me leave one curtain out, she paid for me. Happy to see humanity still exist. Definitely coming back to the store when I’m in town and recommending my friends and family too. Thank you again to the young lady at the register.

This is one of my favorite stores. I come to this store at least three times a week. They have the best deal and the quality of their products are GREAT. Staff is always friendly to me and always willing to help when I have a question. This is one of the best stores in this area. I Highly recommend for others to come here; they have some of everything.

I work as a retail customer representative myself and I know how important it is to serve your customer right, this store lacks the service, however I do want to mention amazing and unique Christmas items they have! Fabulous selection! I left few items in a cart yesterday to order a cab for myself, by the time I got back they returned the items back when I specifically asked to hold it for me. Regardless I picked everything back. When i reached the register, cashier left me unattended asking me to wait for the next time cashier as her shift ended. The other cashier already had 3 people in line and by the time the gentlemen charged me, my cab left and charged me cancellation fee. Terrible way to deal with a customer. Unpleasant.

The staff here were very welcoming, though I believe a few were new employees but still provided great service. Merchandise was easy to find and the staff help a ton! Overall a splendid experience.

I been a loyal customer since they reopened under new management and I was very upset with new staff change, the guy on register was so busy on phone that he gave me wrong change, glad I checked my change before leaving. Last week the cashier had problem understanding me. I can understand English won’t be your first language but please have them do restocking instead of cash register. Took me a while just to make her understand that i wanted to use two cards to make the separate payments. This place was very welcoming but I don’t feel same in last few days. The only positive reviews I see on their page seems to be their kind, so does this mean the staff only treat politely to their own kind?PLEASE WEAR MASK ON COUNTER, COVID IS STILL A RISK

My favorite store for unique and affordable elements. Giving 3 stars because of poor customer service by cashier. My usual people at counter were quick and pleasant. New staff is friendly but extremely slow. I was in a hurry but she took her sweet time while chit chatting with the guy at register. I still love their cleanliness and prices but customer service need help.

The fact that I visit this store almost every week says it all. They are very friendly and helpful. The store is very organized and neat at all times. The prices are ridiculously reasonable. I would recommend to anyone.

The only reason I chose to come back is for the axe deodorant. It’s reasonable price.But I totally agree on the slow service. This place use to be my one go stop. But I guess it’s the change of staff or the staff lacking interest on work, but it’s not pleasant to come here anymore. None of the workers knows prices. You ask on floor, they send you to register and register people have no clue whatsoever. LEARN PRICES OR PUT PRICES.

Been coming to this store for almost 2 years, but utterly disappointed with the staff. They need to hire people who speak English at register. The previous staff was extremely helpful. Missed my girls. Dissatisfied indeed.P.S. They need to add some pleasant smell at the register. Hard to stay there for more than 5 minutes, even with the mask on.

Overall I liked it, will I be back absolutely. Im a little concerned about the safety issues as far as covid-19 (employees wearing masks, social distancing and all) but other than that the store has good stuff, and Im pretty sure you will basically find a lot of what you need if not all of it.

Make sure you check your receipts before leaving, this was my 3rd time being overcharged. Glad my daughter checked my receipt and took it back to the store. Other times i didn’t have my receipt but the items price didn’t match my card charge. Unacceptable.

Me and my 9yr old kid just moved out here and I gotta sat the ppl of this fine establishment are very friendly and helpful... best store on my strip hands down.

I totally agree with slow customer service, I had to stand in line for nearly 15 mins just to buy one soap and softener. Might as well go to Walmart for delayed lines. Also kindly put prices on your items. Each worker have different prices for same item. Store is loosing its grasp.

Terrible experience! Been coming to this store since it reopened and been a loyal customer. Last Sunday, i decided to come for my usual shopping,But the cashier was extremely rude. She saw me standing at the door yet she didn’t open the door till exact 10, I mean sometime you can make exceptions for customers. She kept showing attitude the whole time. I simply asked her to help me put stuff in my own bags, which she completely refused. There was no other customer behind me, so there was no reason for her to say no. I told her “do u have any idea how much I spend with every visit”, to which she bluntly said so what! I mean if you can’t respect your customers, we won’t support the business.

I love this place! Its a place you want to spend all day buying nick nacks and necessities! The store owners are always nice and accommodating.

This was my favorite place to shop whenever I’m in the area for my kid’s dentist. Most of my kid’s appointments are in the morning so I always stop by and spent about $100s of dollars here. But last week, I had the worst experience ever with cashier, i didn’t see my usual people there but she was extremely rude and unprofessional! She needs to learn about customer service and watch her tone. If my kids weren’t with me, I would have showed her place to her. No matter what, you don’t have right to yell back at customer for asking to show the receipt and charges. Not coming back ever.

I was here a two weeks ago and i am very upset With the nasty attitude of the staff the lady at the register did not understand me and was very slow she did not attempt to help me with the prices when I complain the manager about this and he was too busy on the phone he kept ignoring my concerns not im planning to come back to this store 🙄🙄

Beautiful store.I First time shop here. Few days ago My A C broke down & all the big Stores were out of stock on ACs friend of mine told me about Discount Valley.Here i found what i was looking for.. . . most impressive was their prices. I paid $60 less then Walmart online price. . BIG Saving..

Definitely this store is best discount store in valley stream, Rosedale area. There prices r lower then other competitive stores in the area. I paid $2.99 for hand sanitizer 12oz bottle here. Same bottle other store on Merrick rd is selling for$4.99Workers r very helpful. I always have great shopping experience here. You can find almost every thing u need for ur house.

1st time i went to this store on past weekend. Nice experience. New owner did a good job. Store is totally different then before Polite staff.I spent over then $300 on home decor flower vases & wall mirror. There prices r better then other stores.Definitely i will go there again for shopping specially for my winter window curtains.

Despite having a variety of things, the price gouging is real. And I understand due to the Covid situation things are tough but just because its summer does not mean to increase the price on bbq items. Come on, how can you price something at $7 and change when it really goes for $3 to $5.

I like this place because its big and has so many different household items however during COVID-19 they price gouged so much. I was so disappointed and felt robbed when I had to go and purchase sanitizer, bleach and masks.

I live in New Hyde park close to Jericho Turnpike take me 15 minutes to get there .Staff is friendly they help me to choose my window curtains. they carry a big variety of window curtains and the home decor.prices are amazingly low. they do carry everyday general merchandise like health and beauty, cleaning AIDS, houseware Goods stationary, party goods and many more everyday items you must visit this store.Definitely I will go there again & highly recommended to others

You can find some really good discounts.The merchandise is of good quality.I like the customer service there if they dont have something u need they will try their best to get it...I needed just 5 ballons that said Its a Boy they opened a new pack and blew up 5 just for me, this was soooo nice of them..If u are in the area I highly recommend you stopping by.

Im writing to make a formal complaint about the heat system in your store and draw your attention towards it. Im a regular customer but its been hard for me to stand there even for 5 minutes because its freezing in there.
