Great service. Very clean facilities

I have been using this storage for almost a year and wanted to say how attentive amari is I recently had some issues with my unit and he was able to assist me and get the problem taken care helping me to feel like my belongs are safe and actually cared about compared to other places this place is top notch

The gentleman who was on the Job that day was a very informative man and helped me out in my time of need...also prior to that I also had help from another gentleman who was informative and a positive impact in my final decision...Thanks to the gentleman who made it an easy transition

The manager Amari was exceptionally helpful from the first time I rented here back in February 2021. Throughout the facility tour he was very professional and nice. He took the time to explain all of the rules of the facility. After which, I felt my belongings would be secure at this location, and I haven’t been disappointed.He showed me an excellently sized space which I believed would house all of my belongings. When I moved my things into the location, I found that I needed an extra room and he was very helpful and accommodating. I was able to secure a second room on the same level as my first room -which was extremely convenient. As it turned out, I realized I needed more space, and again Amari assisted me with a transition from the smaller room to a larger room. I would recommend this facility to anyone who asked me. The spaces are clean and the accessibility to the space is very convenient. It is a pleasure doing business with a company who’s staff is professional and well mannered.R. ColonLynbrook, NY

CONSUMER BE WARE: Mouse Infestation at this location!I utilized a storage facility here after selling my house and renting until I find my new home. I moved in November 14th and didnt return until mid December. There was a faint odor as I walked into the facility but it subsided as I walked further to the back of the warehouse toward my unit. After opening the lift door, I immediately saw a few mouse droppings near the base of the door. I went to the office to ask if they were aware of the possibility of mice in the warehouse, and was told by the employee on duty, Erica, that an exterminator comes at the beginning of every month to address them. I was handed a few pouches of ‘rodenticide’ to put inside my unit, and a broom and dust pan. I was given a look that basically said, ‘Good Luck.’ I swept out the what I could see and threw out a few that had some mouse feces on them and went home.I returned again 2 weeks later to retrieve some items, and immediately noticed the faint odor from before was now much stronger. I saw droppings on the floor in the aisle, some scattered, and some clustered as if they had been swept out of other units, as I had done on my previous visit. I reached my unit and saw more droppings after lifting the door. I also faintly smelled the odor from the entrance and the aisle inside my unit as well. At this point I’m panicked, because I’ve read and heard that mice are disease carrying and chew and destroy your stuff. Also, the size of droppings varied, so I was deeply concerned that this could be rats as well. I tried to move some boxes and encountered droppings falling onto the floor and was utterly grossed out. I literally crawl out of my skin!I took 2 days off of work, and returned with gloves, a face mask, trash bags and a dust pan and broom. Halfway through the first day I had amassed such a pile of mice droppings that I had to take a photo. I continued taking photos (see posted photos) and was disgustingly surprised when even caught a photo of one inside my unit! I checked boxes for any thing that could justify their presence. Nothing. Not. A. Thing. Only cardboard boxes, and packing paper, and books for which they chewed the binders and covers off of. I had to pitch pillows and clothing, my sofa and loveseat, a dresser that was encrusted with feces and urine, and business labels and manuals that were chewed up. Anything plastic or porous? Gone.I paid a carting company $600 to dispose of the multitude of bags and furniture I had to throw out ( because, according to them, I couldn’t use their dumpsters). I filed an insurance claim to recoup what I could from the loss, but either way, I’m not made whole. They did allow me to move into a different storage unit in the same facility and waived the transfer fee (yippee.. *eye roll*), that I now pay $300 monthly for. Oh, and yes, there are mice droppings in the new unit now too. I’ve spoken with the Regional Manager, Craig, twice now. He says they’ve changed their baiting systems to a more aggressive version after our first conversation. Despite this, I still smell the ‘mouse infestation’ smell each time I enter the facility, and I still see droppings in the aisle leading up to my lift door. I am still fearful that I will lose even more of my precious items I paid for with my hard earned money.Bottom line is this: This company doesn’t take seriously their responsibilities. For the money they charge monthly, my personal items were neither Safe nor Guarded. There is a health and hygiene issue brewing in that facility, and they need to take appropriate measures to address their mouse problems. To their credit, their Regional Manager, Craig did offer to move me free of charge to another of their facilities, however, after this experience, I want nothing more to do with Safeguard Storage. I’m going to have to spend even more money to hire a truck and men to move my stuff to a different company where pray I don’t have this experience again.

After bringing in a boatload of items in recently i noticed its quite, clean and easy to do. My mother and she got a awsome deal for a new bigger storage space.the only complaint i would have is the filtration system in the facility after awhile of being in there it because hard to breathe. Other than that PERFECT!

I needed a storage unit and had used safeguard storage in the past I was pressed for time because it was late in the afternoon on Sunday and I had a pickup truck full of my belongings. As soon as I walked into the facility I was greeted by Jack who was friendly and eager to assist me. Jack made this experience super easy and pleasant. I would highly recommend this facility for all of your storage needs. Make sure you ask for Jack you won’t be disappointed! 😊

The process of renting a unit was super easy. Book online then come into the location (Easy enough). I walked right in and was assisted by Amari. Amari went above and beyond to help me. He explained everything on my contract thoroughly, even after I badgered him about the time lol (he was a good sport). Amari also explained the importance of getting the additional bolt lock Just in case power goes out (electric units). He also helped me out with the app. The storage area is super clean as well which is a plus.You won’t be disappointed renting here in this safeguard.

Ive been with three different storage companies before (Manhattan mini storage, LifeStorage and this one- Safeguard Self Storage). Manhattan mini storage was OK- they could improve some things but it was a good experience overall. LifeStorage was one of the worst customer service experiences of my life and finally, SAFEGUARD SELF STORAGE WAS THE BEST! I could finally find a safe place to put away the stuff I wasnt using while I was away from NYC. Also, reliable and responsive management with kind customer service. And... ALWAYS clean.Trust me, I was skeptical and scared after my experience with LifeStorage and I thought all storage companies were the same but this one is affordable, clean, safe (not only your unit has a built in lock but also you need the app with a password to unlock each unit and even to go up the elevator or enter the garage; you can even monitor any activity in your unit from the app when youre away- for example if someone tries to open it). Just convenient and great. I have cero complaints since all my billing questions were answered and my stuff safely put away, plus there were always clean -and working- carts to use... PLEASE open a location in Manhattan! Thank you so much for everything!

This is one of the best self storage facility Ive experienced ever I would recommend anyone to come here the service is great the prices are great and they have storage sizes to suit different needs.
