No theater systems on display, the ones that were on display, did not work. There was absolutely zero help to be found, wasted 1/2 hour of my life. Maybe theyll get it back together soon.
I dont particularly like the best buy in my area, customer service was very poor during my recent trip there.To pickup a recent order I had trouble with, FedEx is quite terrible on getting my packages to me sometimes. Therefore I had curbside pickup instead. Well normally it goes fine but this time no one came out after repeated attempts letting them know I was there.I was busy on the phone while I was waiting but after about 30 mins I finished my work on my phone and went inside to inquire why they never came out.The people working there werent at all apologetic, which would of defused the situation but I could tell no one really cared. When I finally got told why they said new policy I had to park in the numbered spots otherwise they wouldnt go looking for my car.Which I would understand completely but I never had any trouble parking in my usual spot before for curbside pickup and on the best buy site they never stayed this policy and even had an option to tell them where I had parked if i wasnt in there numbered parking spots.The right thing to do would of been to contact the costumer by phone and state they had to either come inside to pickup or they must park in the designated spots. Im sure they could of looked up my account and phone number and called me instead of keeping me waiting.This makes me never want to go to best buy again. Thats why customer service is so important. I dont think Ive have ever been so disappointed in customer service in America. People make your company Best buy, please choose ones that represent you well and care about your company. Rant overBest buy online has been much better so I know it may be just localized to my particular store.
Customers service zero in TV/Electronic. sales person argued with us. When we showed him proof on Best Buy website. he still argued. We asked for another sales person. He didnt get anyone. We said were leaving. He said GO9D.
Best buy just does not carry much of an inventory anymore. Went there to get a simple vga cord for a business projector and they didnt in have one. I feel sorry for best buy when Amazon starts their same day delivery.

I came in for an appointment with the geek squad, I was being helped and the girl was unable to figure something out, so I was basically pushed aside to wait while someone else could help me. The other tech instead helped people who didn’t have an appointment, I didn’t leave till an hour after my scheduled appointment.
This was something husband ordered for himself or his (mothers) truck. I dont deserve anything. Except abuse.

BAIT & SWITCH. Buyers BEWARE! Not an honest place. I Was at the Valparaiso Best Buy last Monday afternoon, helping a friend buy a new TV. They Settled on a 42. The price was $295 with Free Delivery and a $35 set-up fee. However, at check-out they tried to charge an additional $150, with the possibility of another $50 at delivery. THEY LIED!! They never once mentioned the $150 to $200 during their 45 min sales pitch. They just rang it up at check-out.Then, when I asked about the free delivery and $35 set-up fee, they just stumbled and couldnt even explain it well. Buyers Beware. They might hit you up at check out for additional big $$$ just to take it out of a box??? and set it on a stand? Unbelievable. Heck, I even told the guy that... If they could just take it out of the box, that Id plug it in. Nope. No guarantees. Best Buyers Beware... They Just Might Bite.

Ive been coming to this Best Buy since it opened over 10 years ago. sometimes you do get bad service, but overall its 5 stars for me all the way. The gentleman that is the expert on TVs really knows his stuff and understands the differences in screens and proper price points.However, today when I walked in there I went to pursue a labtop. I knew I was probably going to spend some money to get what i wanted/needed. I stood there for awhile before getting someone to help me. The manager came over and she was very down-to-earth and based on her experience there she was very knowledgeable. Then when LIAM came over I immediately knew this was the expert in the store when it came to labtops. However, he is a natural born proper and upper echelon customer service agent. There is not a question that I asked that wasnt answered, also they were all answered in a honest timely manner with a high level of confidence. I purchased today which was the ASUS - ROG Zephyrus 14 Gaming Laptop. I only would have made that decision today and get the 1 year protection plan with him. He fully explained shipping options on what would work best for me, considering I have to work. Also he was able to break down options with upgrades with new product purchased and how that run down would work. Seriously best buy this guy needs to be management or be getting a bonus of some sort for being able to handle upper tier sales with such confidence and knowledge. Liam is the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dominic and Matt from geek squad have been a huge help with information on upgrading a computer vs options on buying the right product for work needs! We came in there with an older laptop that needed upgrades. Matt gave us all the knowledge that we needed to make a decision on what to upgrade or buy. This was a huge deal that they spent time to make sure we had all the information we needed. He knew everything we needed to know and even gave us honest advice on what the best move would be as far as products to buy. I highly recommend this stores geek squad. They will give you the time and information you need that other places don’t seem to have the time for!

If youre looking for an ASUS 3080 Ti for OC, this is not the place youre looking for. However, in Valpo at least, its the only place Id go for electronic gear. So many employees with their own unique ideas...and they have a clean bathroom. :-)
The location and staff are great and helpful reason for 4 stars is corporates complete lack of care for their employees Ive never seen a BestBuy so short on staff by corporate CHOICE. Also had an anniversary coupon that didnt work but will be honored on my next visit. The people that are still there work hard and are a great bunch of people.
We bought a TV and sound bar at the Valparaiso store. The gentleman that helped us was named Gordon, or Jordan. Im sorry I didnt look close enough. He was fantastic, knowledgeable, and courteous.
I have experienced the absolute worst customer service of my life. For starters, don’t even try and call the store with problems you may experience because they don’t take calls. They just refer you to the national customer service line who will then tell you to call the store for better information. I have twice left work early for scheduled deliveries that never showed. They will not call or email you and tell you they are not coming.You just have to wait. Every time I call the national line I get different information about where my items are. Call in the morning and my appliances are overseas. Call in the afternoon and I’m told they’re in and it’s time to schedule a delivery. Call the next day and receive a completely different story. I was put on a two hour hold until they finally hung up because I asked for a supervisor. I ordered and paid for over 5K in appliances over three months ago and still nothing. After the first delivery date they set up and missed I was told delivery would be put out another month. Today they missed the second delivery and I was told another month and a half (maybe). Whatever you do, DO NOT buy Anything from Best Buy that you cannot walk in and take off of the shelf. You will only ever be lied to otherwise.
Its almost like BB doesnt want you to shop here. I went in for a Point and Shoot camera. They have about 8 on display but none in store and the rest of the camera isle is empty. When asked why that was I was told everything is online. Well guess what BB, cameras are online everywhere. Looks like Ill be going to a competitor.

They got a lot of stuff. Unfortunately their staff isnt as knowledgeable on products as i would have liked. Only reason to not but from Amazon is for personal assistance at brick and mortar shops. You might as well take your chance with an Amazon order.... if its wrong ... I dont have to drive back to store. Lots of stuff in there... but its the lack of knowledge amongst the staff that turns me away.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE and EXPERIENCE EVER. Walked in to buy a stereo on a Tuesday, opened it that same day to start using it, and it didnt work. One of the inputs were fried and was completely useless! I go to return it the very next day with my receipt and they wont accept my return because the model inside the box is not the same as the one that is pictured on the side of the box! Unbelievable! I talked to corporate, I talked to managers, and I even talked to the manufacturer of the stereo and no one wants to take responsibility or even accept that a mistake has been made, no one is perfect and mistakes are made but for it to not even be taken into account is incredibly unprofessional from all parties. I am left to pay for the mistake because of these idiots man.
I got good service and the sales person had complete knowledge and I was able to ask my questions knowing he could answer them. He was polite and his voice had a good tone. Everyone was wearing masks and the place was clean.
I bought a microwave, airfryer (Love the airfryer), copier and a T.V. from Best Buy and was able to bring back the old ones for them to dispose for me. Thanks!
Buyer beware!! The only way I could resolve my issue with part of my 4700.00 appliance purchase was to physically go back into store. All calls to the store are outsourced to the Caribbean. No luck there!! I will never purchase ANYTHING from the store again.

Unfortunately we did not buy anything today. We did browse at the appliances and printers. 99% of the staff was very knowledgeable and if they could not answer our question they found an employee who could.Best Buy was very clean and it appeared that they were taking Covid-19 seriously and doing their best to keep the store clean and disinfected.

Today I had a Kenwood head unit installed in my Corvette. I dealt with AJ. Cant say enough good things about him. Great young man, courteous and professional. The installation was great. Highly recommended.Also a shout out to John who we purchased the unit from, I think he may be the store manager. He was also great to deal with.
Its hard to have a kid help you when they dont know what your talking about and just stand there instead of saying let me get someone who can better help you with that.

This appears to be an older store and could use a face lift. We were trying to get a new printer and staff was hard to find. To be fair, it was holiday hours and they were busy. Once we were able to talk to someone or questions were answered quickly.

My really old phone stopped working at the worst possible moment (of course). I rushed into BB panicking and was greeted by some great staff who gave me a great deal and helped me with EVERYTHING! I left BB calmer and a life-long customer!!!
We went in there to buy a printer and asked where they a young man pointed towards the back we looked at them and decided which one but still had questions . No one ask if we needed help. My husband said lets go will look somewhere else.
This location needs an update in their customer service. I purchased a phone for my wife, while I was at another location, and did a order pick up at this location. When my wife got to the location. First they were giving her a hard time saying that they were not able to release the phone because she was not me. They did not bother to look at the ID to see that we have the same last name and address. When she was talking with one person she was pushed to mobile rep and they were giving her hard time because her name was not on the order. I was standing in the other location and the mobile manager there updated the notes and they were refusing to give her the phone still, they said Its not her phone. She told them she has the order number and they did nothing but kept saying, Its not her phone. When I told her to ask for a manager then instead of getting the manager they actually gave her the phone. You should not have to go through this length after an order to just pick up a phone. I think they were judging her more on her skin color then willing to help her out. Wish I could have given 0 stars.
I have the worst customer service at this store. I ordered a few things on the app went to pick them up and a few werent even in stock. I was ignored by customer service and the cashier proceeded to argue with me about the product I ordered on the app. This is the reason Ill never come back to your store.

I was at the Valparaiso IN Best Buy on September 21, 2020 returning wireless headphones I purchase using $35 in reward points. As I was attempting to exchange the item for an item at a lesser price $21, the two females working at the service desk stated I would receive only $.67 as a refund. As I was asking why it would be only $.67 and not the $14 difference as a credit or back in rewards points, they continued to say I would only get the $.67. Things did get a little heated as I tried to explain my reasoning at to why I didn’t understand by returning an item at a higher cost and receiving an item at a lower cost, why I would not be eligible for the full difference. The two employees did not let me explain my confusion. They did call over another employee who I believed they stated was a manager, but he was dressed in camouflage shorts and did not look or seem professional at all. As he walked over, he also did not let me explain as to why I was confused. As I seen that the exchange was not going to work for me, I then asked if I was to just return the item, would I get my rewards points back, and they answered yes. So I went ahead and returned the item and exited the store. I felt that whole situation could have been avoided had anyone of the three employees just told me my options fully to begin with and I could have made a decision. I am very unhappy with the customer service and will not return to the Valparaiso so called “Best Buy”.

The friendliness and willingness to help a customer in need is still there and still great! I only wish they had one of things I wanted in stock. Oh well, maybe next time.....

I came here for a phone case and to buy two 12.9 inch iPad pros and a 4K TV. Total value of around 3200.00. I asked them to price match a phone case which they wanted 48.00 for. Amazon wanted 24.95 with free shipping.The clerk was fine with it. But needed help changing the price. She calls a coworker over who jumps thru hoops not to let me get the discount. I just quietly added the other stuff to my Amazon cart. While he was talking. I know you think you saved your store 24.00 but, in reality, you lost 3200.00 and increased an elder millenials loyalty to Amazon.
This place sucks they only have like 5 people that work there. Noone will help you. They lost big sales from me bought everything from Amazon instead. Will never step foot in this location again hope they close.

Geek squad is the best. The annual service agreement is completely worth the price. However, I did buy an external hard drive that was a lemon that hadnt saved my documents and I was out $60 because it was just over 1 year old and Best Buy refused to replace it. So 1 star for not standing behind their products but 5 stars for Geek Squad.
