Took in a set of springs with shocks to get assembled. Dave assured me he knew what he was doing. When I got home I realized they were done terrible wrong. Now he wont return my calls. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PLACE, VERY UNSAFE!!

I hate to leave a bad review on this place, but after months of thinking about it I decided it be best to make people aware. I dropped off a 97 blazer and had just put a couple hours into cleaning, painting, and sealing the bottom engine cover which I would not get back. I called them and they claimed it didnt have it. I looked at my surveillance camera to see it was on when it was towed there, but it didnt come back with it. The repairs were done but later the problems came back and they again fixed them for good, but a new cover is expensive. I dont think the owner did this nor do I think they are bad people. But I do think they accidentally put it on another car or a single bad seed took it thinking it was new.

I bought a used car from a local dealership in July 2019 that had a faulty transmission. Dealership recommended and paid to get the car repaired at this facility. They replaced the transmission with a used one. Not even two months later same issue (leaked transmission fluid badly). Would not recommend. I honestly don’t believe the transmission was never replaced at all, just a quick fix up.

Professional Quick and Knowledgeable shop. One day turnaround on a timing belt water pump and tensioners on my 2005 Dodge Stratus and had strut mounts replaced at the same time. All for the best price i could find in the area

They kept pushing my day of getting car back almost a week. Told me a worker scratched my door and they sent it to body shop to repair it. Told me it wasnt even noticable but its the first thing i noticed when i walked up to the car. Picked car up when i got off which was after hours. Scartches all over my car that wasnt there when i deopped it off. They didnt fix the door! Even! Check engine came back on as i pulled out the parking lot! I wouldnt recommend this shop! Best know im calling the second they open!

I brought my old Camaro here and they did a great job! I drove past several shops just to bring it to D&L. They replaced most of the front end mechanicals, steering, ball joints, struts, etc. They are professional and down to earth. I highly recommend them for your auto needs.

My 2000 Nissan Xterra broke down near Chesterton and Geico had me tow my car to the nearest dealership which happened to be Bob Rohrmans. They checked out my car and told me that my timing belt needed to be replaced and it would cost about $1000.I ended up finding D & L auto in Valparaiso which was willing to do the repair at the more reasonable quote of $500. So I had them go and get the car from Bob Rohrmans and check out the issue. D & L was able to determine that the rotor cap was loose in the distributor. They also checked the compression and said that it was a little low but even across all cylinders, which did not indicate a broken timing belt. Great!I highly recommend getting your vehicle serviced at D & L auto--it doesnt look fancy but the people are honest and excellent at their jobs! (Dont go to Bob Rohrmans!)
