Called for a specific item. They said they had it. Drove 45 minutes and nope they actually flat out lied. 3 workers verified they had it on the phone. We got there we mentioned they said they had it and he walked away with his head down. No I am sorry. No trying to figure out what happened. So I figured well at least the kids could get costumes. Nope very few left. Ended up at a different store.

Good place for celebration ideas. Prices tend to be higher than elsewhere. Costume selection better than most other stores! Some shelves empty probably due to supply shortages.

Great place, they treat their customers very kindly. I suggest this place for everyone, especially if you are planning any kind of event. The management are fantastic !!!

Amazing selection of party decorations for any occasion if a small event at home due to the pandemic. Balloons in numerous colors solid color and designs and characters. Prices start at $1.99 each for solid colors. Penny candy selection, although 10 cents each. Props like glasses, boas, beaded necklaces and signs. Yes greeting cards too. Plenty of parking. They have a e-newsletter you can sign up for while at the register .

Great selection. I like the organized layout. That makes it easier to find what youre looking for. But one womans bathroom and just 2 fitting areas are not enough for peak time traffic! U dont want to spend $80 on something and not know if its gonna fit. Nor do u want to wait for 30 mins to try it on- and not even have a mirror inside the fitting booth! A lot of room for improvement here, and Im sure it could be done in the existing footprint of space.

These days when helium is at a shortage Party City gave great options for air filled decorations.

Came in very handy for some last-minute stuff I needed for the Porter County Home Show.The store is huge and they have a huge inventory of everything in anything you need for a party.Very clean and well-organized easy to find what youre looking for.

Stopped in hoping to find Mardi Gras decorations. They didnt disappoint with a good selection. Absolutely everything you need for any occasion with every color, or theme that you need !

Fantastic selection of anything and everything youd need for every kind of celebration. But, that being said, youre gonna pay for it. On the pricey side and the service you get from the employees here isnt the best or fastest. We paid $40 for 14 helium balloons and split into 2 carrying bags...ended up having to leave and come back for them to finish it and then they forgot the carrying bags we paid for. Bottom line is dont be in a hurry because they dont do anything fast.

I love it because it has EVERYTHING!!! AND MORE..!!! But my bf ordered balloons online and was SUPPOSED to include A FREE FILL...LIE ..so for 45 balloons I paid OVER $50...not cool...

The website said the Valpo store had 3 Robin Hood costumes so I drove 20 minutes to the store and was told the costumes were in the back in boxes, but they wouldn’t go back and open the box and get me one. This store’s customer service has always been bad!!I won’t ever shop here again!

The location in Joliet,IL is the worst. The worker there was very rude and lazy. I have purchased something online to pick up in store. My purchased was cancelled and I called the store to verify what happened. She said it was cancelled because they didnt have it but my friend was there to pick it up for me and the worker told her it was in stock but they were not going to get it now. Why? Because they were lazy! Anyway, I dont know how you can work like this and get away with it.

Extremely bad costumer service. I waited in line to check out for 10 minutes. Employees came up front, not to help check customers or, but to help with a balloon order that wasnt needed that day. Also, cashier kept removing her mask while checking out customers

This place is awesome. Ill have anything you need for any of your party ideas if you want to go the cheap route its the place to go if you want to drop some major cash its a good place to go all in all a great place and plan on using and going there again

They have a very wide selection of costumes and party supplies. From character themes for kids party to supplies for when your older to baby shower to wedding. Balloon selection is wide but limited too.

Awesome store for multiple different reasons. One in particular is I just recently quit smoking and needed dum dums and this place had the biggest bag ice ever seen for a fair price too. They also truly have anything you could need for a party and everything is color coordinated in the store which makes it nuch easier when buying.

Im not one to hold a grudge against a business, but I swear to everything good and holy that Ill never step foot in this establishment again. After spending over $200 on balloons for my open house, my mom arrived to pick them up the day of the party. Seeing as we had 6-7 bouquets of balloons, my mom asked for a bag, to which the lady said Well, yeah, but they cost $1.50 and youll have to go to the end of the line to pay for them.Mind you, there was a line of 7-8 people - my mom wasnt prepared to wait. Instead of being polite, kind, and empathetic, the lady at the counter just kinda sneered obnoxiously, told my mom thank you sarcastically, and then turned to the next customer. My mom was forced to carry 7-8 bouquets of balloons to her car in 20+ MPH gusts. Needless to say, several of the balloons popped, and the rest were in a jumbled knot that took over an hour to undo.Party City needs to learn how to treat their customers with respect and dignity - some empathy wouldnt hurt either. I would not suggest this establishment, because Ive NEVER seen my mom reduced to tears by a lowly cashier. Disgusting.

The entire store reeked of human waste. I drove from my home in laporte to this god awful store in hopes of buying clown make up for an upcoming gig, but when I first steeped through the doors I was greeted not by staff but by an odor so bad it instantly made me feel sick. I then tried to proceed into the store to the makeup area but every foot I got into the store the smell incised in velocity until I was literally dry heaving in the store and had to drop everything in my hands and rush out of the store for fresh air.I then spent the next 10 mins just catching my breath outside, stunned that the store was even open in such a state. After catching my breath I got into my car and drove home defeated, I ended up just using amazon.The thing that bothers me the most about this is that there were employees (Probably min wage at that) forced to be in the building while what was clearly a bio hazard was taking place.As a long time Party City shopper I am disgusted that management would let something get to this point, and would rather risk the lives of their costumers and sales team then to close down the store during an emergency.I will never be shopping at a party city for the rest of my life, just knowing the little bit of information I gained that day shows you have 0 respect for the health of other humans, or the quality of your stock as you were just letting all your cloth outfits sit in what was human waste for days. I will be recommending amazon or wish to all my friends for their party needs, and if time is the problem to consider alternatives to this monster of a company.
