When I walked in, first I noticed the selection. As I settled in to start trying everything, I was greeted with a smile. Brian, better known as Short Brian did not make me feel pressured. He worked at my pace. I explained to him what I was looking for and he immediately got me on the right path and assisted brilliantly throughout the purchase. (Make sure you ask for him!!! Amazing!) I had no intention on purchasing today. But having someone knowledgeable on the inventory led me to the perfect piece instead of the 2 month search I was expecting! THANK YOU BRIAN!

Absolutely one of the best furniture buying experiences I’ve had. Brian Luckritz is the salesperson to go to. He is knowledgeable and helpful. There was no double talk and no surprises. I needed furniture quickly and the number of options was impressive. Once Brian had helped me with my selection, he didn’t just send me on his way; he followed up after delivery to ensure everything was satisfactory. Brian was great! Attentive but not annoying 😉 he let us shop around at our leisure while checking on us from time to time to make sure we didn’t have any questions. If I could give this place no stars I would. Placed an order that was supposed to be delivered within 6-8 weeks. Ok understandable, things are backed up right now. 6 months later the items still haven’t even shipped. At no point were we contacted about the huge delay, I had to reach out to the company and when we did the manager was extremely rude and dismissive of the issue. The employees at this business are a complete joke. Rude, lying, and not helpful in the least. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

What a difference 2 decades make! This store is not the one your parents took you to buy what would have been good furniture at a good discount price. It is a beautiful store with an awesome layout, 2 gigantic floors and plenty of everything to choose from. Sales folks are nice and friendly with no pressure to buy at any time. I give them 5 stars!

I was greeted by Bob, within minutes of my arrival and he said to feel free to look around and ask him any questions. I looked through the entire showroom without being continuously bothered by a salesperson. When I made my decision, I told Bob and he gave me all of the options of fabrics and additional matching furniture. He then gave me the latest discounts and was honest about delivery times. A very pleasant shopping experience!!

Sure glad to hear that it was not just me & my wife who were never even acknowledged by any employee at the store after looking around for an hour. Sorry that Melonie & Tori were ignored as well, but it makes me feel better to know it was not just us that did not receive ANY customer service. A good way to earn a bad reputation but not providing any customer service.Even if the store was short staffed due to Covid or someone called off, we would have understood if a salesperson would have just taken 15 seconds of their time to welcome us and communicate that they were short handed but look around and let us know if you need anything. BIG MISTAKE.......THEIR LOSS.....because we planned on buying 2 bedroom sets, a living room set and a family room set. We found some nice sets we wanted to purchase, but we will never visit this store again.

Beautiful furniture I almost fell in love with a couch and table upstairs although I was here for a little over an hour and just now left due to not one rep greeting or taking to me or my spouse. There were two guy workers in the back sitting down laughing and talking for awhile and I had a few questions about the couch but decided to leave instead of bothering them.

Working with Sam I was able to get a very nice couch with a roll out bed and a storage compartment along with a very nice cocktail table. The delivery personnel were efficient and set the couch up when they arrived. I couldn’t be happier.

My husband and I came to your store looking for a dining room set. Kevin helped us he took us up stairs and showed us some beautiful sets that are at the store. He was so patient with us.after seeing the one table that we ended up purchasing he was very informative and took us step by step would happen. I wouldnt mind him helping us again when we decide on the living room.

Customer service is completely absent, but the products looked fine. I know you dont want to be bombarded when you walk in a store, but we were in there for about an hour and needed help and were completely ignored, even though there were about 6 people on the floor looking at their cell phones and not engaging with customers.

No pushy salesperson on the premises. They give you the time and space to look around without making you feel unwelcome. Havent bought anything for a while, but I will go back when I do. UPDATE: Went back and purchased a couch and two chairs. Was told of extended wait times for delivery but within a couple months the wait was over and everything delivered sooner than expected. First off, before buying from here google what you are buying. We found the same sectional that was on sale here for over $500 dollars cheaper at another store. They did price match it which was nice. But not even 1 month later the couch was squeaking when you sat. The guy came out and tried to fix the noise. We havent even owned the couch for 8 months and its already broke. Thankfully it was still under the 1 year manufacture warranty, because we didnt purchase the extended warranty with Indiana Furniture. We have never had a couch break let alone within 1 year and this one is already falling apart. Called the store to ask to be able to purchase the extended warranty because we didnt expect to be sold such terrible quality from here. They told us no. Do your research before buying from here. We have bought way better quality at Costco for half the price. Prices are higher, and the quality of our couch was garbage.

Not happy at all! Was told 6wks for new furniture in November 2020 and it’s now end of April, 5 months later! Lots of excuses!! Wrong number, factories fault & list goes on and on. Now we call today they say 8 more weeks! Will never ever recommend Indiana furniture! As of now maybe a total of 7 months and might get the furniture!

My husband and I came in to look for a new bed. When laying on them they were the most uncomfortable beds that we had ever laid on. For $1,300 at Bobs Discount we got a king size bed (which was very comfortable--my husband fell in love right away) and boxspring versus the $1,100 bed that felt like it was made out of cardboard that the salesman was trying to push on us. The salesman was pretty awful and was looking to brag about himself rather than helping us find the right fit--I dont care that you spent $6,400 on your bed, nor is that valuable information to us. We were never more excited to leave a place and will never, ever come back.

My second review. I’m still going to give them one star. After waiting for the cord to the recliner chair for weeks it still hasn’t shipped, I gave them two choices to give my money back to me or give me another chair they agreed to give me another chair. I showed up for that chair they tried to give me a used chair that was a totally different color. Again, I had to use that ugly side of me that demanded what I paid for. So finally, I got the chair a new chair that works and I finally got it home, Which took 2 1/2 months to be settled. That is absolutely ridiculous.

Deb, you were an absolute pleasure helping us with our purchase ( and my 2 pesky kids). Excellent customer service...not pushy at all. Knowledgeable friendly staff, quality furniture for reasonable prices. You are not going to find a better price for custom and 100 percent wood furniture anywhere else.

We purchased a beautiful pub height dining room table and chairs from Indiana Furniture. The sales staff was pleasant and great to work with when ordering. The set arrived quickly and was delivered promptly and professionally. The service warranty is superior! Thankfully we haven’t had to use it yet. While everything was closed we had a couple chairs get loose and the service manager got back to us the very day the store reopened following Shelter In Place orders.We will definitely shop at Indiana Furniture again in the future!

Even though they didnt have one in my taste their selection was vast and Andys show man ship was superb. Would recommend talking with Andy when you come in here.

Jacqui helped us find the most comfortable modular sectional and fit it perfectly in the space we had to work with. I had my doubts walking into the store because I know furniture there is higher end and therefore costs more but Jacqui patiently listened to exactly what we were looking for and the cost range we wanted to stay in. Theres the Goldilocks zone for service and sales associate Jeremy hit it. He was very helpful without being too assertive about it. I came in with only a small intention of purchasing and came out with a new sofa (order that is) that is just what I wanted. Im very happy that they sell locally-made products as well and offer a plant-based fabric protection alternative to Scotch-Guard.

We wanted to get a good couch and we found the one we liked at this store. We financed the couch and were promised a delivery within 10-12 weeks due to it being custom made and COVID (which is understandable). I am not here to say this is a bad store, I am here to tell you about my experience and hopefully it will help you in your decision making process.- Not at one point did I get a call from the store to tell me the couch was delayed, I had to call and ask myself on week 12th- Every week the couch was delayed more and more and we ended up getting 2/3 pieces 4 weeks after the promised date and 3d piece of the couch another 4 weeks later.- The couch came with 2 decorative pillows that were made in the wrong color, I called the store to let them know they delivered the wrong ones and they asked me to come in. At the store i was told that the color delivered is the color I wanted (they delivered the same pillows as the display ones and I picked a color that was not even remotely close). They placed an order for new pillows.- I placed the order for the couch on July 12th, I got my 3d piece on 12/10 and new pillows on 12/23- According to the store my couch was made on time but they didnt have any drivers to drive it down to Indiana from California and then when they only delivered 2 pieces, they said the 3d piece just didnt fit in the truck- I asked for a discount and was told that they are not able to give one until I asked to speak to a manager and they gave me 92$ off (5%) :)- During the purchase I was told that with the financing my first payment will be 30 days after i receive the couch. As mentioned above I received my final piece on 12/10, however by then the store has already sent off the payment info to the bank and I was charged a late fee, even though today is only 12/24.- I know this year has been rough for a lot of businesses but I think that good customer service goes a long way and unfortunately its something this store cannot offer.- Love the couch

Waited A Long Time For Any Help

Worst experience at a furniture store ever! Furniture ordered in May. Told it would be delivered June 20! Never contacted that it would be in or ready to deliver! Offered free delivery for the trouble. Complained and stated that was not good enough. Given a small discount. Told furniture would be delivered July 14. Called July 12 to confirm that furniture would finally be ready to deliver. Told yet again that it would be delayed yet again!!! Once again they failed to call and let us know what was going on!!!

This was our first time in Indiana Furniture and were lucky that Deb came over to help us. She was very personable and patient with us while we tried to determine what type of sofa we wanted...then onto the tables.. then to the beds. You see, you think you know what you want until you have so much to look at. Her knowledge and pleasantness make for a wonderful experience. I will definitely go back to Indiana Furniture in the future

Sales staff are available and friendly also not too pushy, the problem lies with the inventory, many pieces are dated and look like something your parents would have in their home, I gave 2 stars because the prices are truly obscene, they are on average 33% higher than anywhere else you look. A fool and his money are soon parted, I would not buy anything from this store, I can search the exact same piece and have it delivered 1/3 less.

We went in looking for a couch and he was so helpful with not only determining the style but also showing us different fabric choices, what would be best for our dogs, the comfort level...just went above and beyond! Not only did they allow me to spend hours figuring everything out, they offered me beverages and made me feel like I was at home.After finalizing the purchase, Sam took care of all the paperwork and explained how the order would take a few weeks and he would call and let me know as soon as everything arrived and when they could deliver. Well, everything arrived ahead of schedule and was delivered within a few days. The delivery guys were very respectful of my home and laid out drop cloths to keep my house clean as they brought in the new furniture.Now not everyone is perfect. After taking delivery I noticed the chairs were not the correct fabric and color. After a quick visit to the store and talking to Gary the manager, he was able to correct my issue and get the chairs swapped out within a couple of days. What I originally thought was going to be a nightmare turned out to be yet another super customer service experience at Indiana Furniture.The overall experience with Indiana furniture has made me feel like I made the best choice not only in my purchase, but as a long term customer they will be there for me. Whenever it is time to shop for furniture we start and finish with Indiana Furniture! We have a saleslady there that is very knowledgeable and she has gained our trust! They have an amazing selection of quality furniture at the store! If you are shy for furniture, it is worthwhile stopping there!

Wander about the entire store, both top and bottom. Spent about a half hour here...maybe even longer.Spoke with nobody. It is not an exaggeration that there were more employees here than there were customers during my visit. Walked by several workers, made eye contact with several others and didnt get particularly close to a couple others. Not even one: Hello, someone will be with you soon, smile or a what are you looking for? Nothing at all. Greatly disappointed. I was there over 2 hours before closing, knew what I want to look at and had the cash to complete the transaction. The only thing that was missing was an Indiana Furniture employee to complete the sale.The absolute ONLY logical conclusion that I can come to is that I was not approached strictly because of my appearance of jeans, hoodie and a ball cap. I may have left a business or two before due to bad service, but the is absolutely the first time I have left a business due to feeling discriminated against.

The store prides itself on selling American made furniture. However, within 2 minutes of being in the store, a saleswoman, Jeanine, went on a rant about how American workers are terrible, lazy, and overpaid. I made a statement that I disagreed and she continued to argue with me. For a place that the first thing they talk about is the quality of the furniture because it is American made, I am wondering why they employ such a person and that such views are encouraged to be aimed at customers. Coming from a union household, I will not be back.

Nice friendly and helpful store. I bought a leather couch on clearance and love it. Just bought a new mattress. Wish I would of tried a few diff ones, or the sales person would of suggested that, I bought a hard mattress which I just bought a mattress pad for and it worked out good.

She was not pushey, and gave me time to actually sit and contemplate each piece of furniture. They DO have price matching, which means you will save $$$, AND they also offer free financing, which is ALWAYS a great thing!

My experience with Indiana Furniture has been nothing short of tremendous!I purchased a couch that developed a problem with the cushions and they took care of it quickly and with the upmost emphasis on customer satisfaction.There is no doubt that this experience will make me choose their business first when buying furniture in the future. Their furniture is not the cheapest but they do have nice, higher quality stuff here and they do bargain a bit with you. After a house fire my insurance people said that my old sectional couch had to go so after doing some online shopping I purchased a very nice sectional couch from here. The couch was delivered and set up for me. I ended up wanting another section to add to what I already purchased and without me even asking they gave me a very reasonable deal on the additional piece. Im pretty sure they can price match so if you see something there and can find it somewhere else cheaper, you can always try that. I looked at getting the same couch from a store in Merrillville but this store was much cheaper. I like the staff here too. I have shopped here numerous times over the years and have never felt ignored (as some people have stated here) and I have never been followed into the bathroom (as another reviewer hinted at!!??). Even if you dont purchase here, this is a great place to take a look at.

We went in a few times to look at furniture. We had our kids with us, and theyre not always thrilled to look at boring furniture when they cant touch anything. Jacqui helped us out and was unbelievably patient as we browsed the store, ordered our furniture, and custom made an ottoman. She was great with the kids and answered any questions we had. When looking for a new sectional couch we started at Indiana Furniture and had an excellent experience with Jeremy R. We continued our search at other places and no one could beat Jeremys customer service and pricing. We were extremely happy with our purchasing experience from Indiana Furniture and highly recommend them!

Really disappointed with our Jackson Furniture sectional purchase at Indiana Furniture. After spending $1000s, at three years, our furniture is peeling and flaking off and looks terrible. When we contacted Indiana Furniture, they said we needed to talk with the warranty company. We paid $259 for the Guardsman extended warranty, but when we contacted Guardsman, they said that peeling and flaking are not covered under the 5 year warranty. If you do any research or search reviews on Jackson Furniture you will find a lot of unhappy people, especially on the Better Business Bureau website (76 complaints) for this and other issues.

We special ordered a Smith Brothers (Made in the USA) couch and ottoman. I was able to design our couch the way I wanted it. The salesman was awesome and very helpful.

I bought a sofa and loveseat a few years ago which am very happy with. The service at the store was great! I also recently bought a recliner and had the same great service. The people that work there do a great job with letting you look around without feeling any kind of pressure, but yet are readily available if you have any questions.

My sales rep Amanda was very helpful. I was looking for a very particular item so I didnt really wander around the store but it appeared to b well stocked with a nice variety. I would definitely return if I need to go furniture shopping in the future.

People there work on commission. If you got to the rest room, they follow you in wondering if youre possibly looking for a urinal -- fresh out of the box, of course. They follow you around like youre about to shove a couch up your most private space and run out of the store with it dragging behind you. Its just one of those comfort spaces where that feels like wolves who havent been fed for a week would love to sit down and talk about your bountiful amount of flesh. Just not cool. Commission sales have been written off by Forbes and others who know. Evidently Indiana Furniture didnt get the message. Some people just cant find time for reading . . .

The employees here are absolutely fabulous! When we walked in, we were greeted with a smile and asked exactly what we were looking for. The lady showed us the area in the store (which is HUGE!), told us about all of our options, asked us if we had any questions, then allowed us to browse. She was not overbearing in the slightest like some furniture store employees are. She came back a little later to check up on us and gave us a business card. I will definitely be coming back for any future needs.

This is a review of our experience with Indiana Furniture and delivery. We had downsized and made a major move selling much of our furniture. When we got into the new house we made several trips to Indiana Furniture. From the knowledgeable floor staff assisting in our decision making to the delivery staff it was a pleasure. The store regularly updated us on our status of our order as we had multiple tickets open and varied delivery times as a result the deliveries were on time as scheduled.

My wife and I came in on a Saturday and was helped by Matt Steinhiber, he was very patient and walked us through all the different options, he came out to the house and measured to make sure the couch and chair would fit through through the door of our old house. We were impressed by the stylish and current furniture choices, designs and displays with lots to choose from in the store and great design ideas. Our experience at Indiana Furniture was great. We were waited on immediately, everyone was friendly and helpful. Jacqui was our sales associate and she was outstanding. She was patient, worked hard to help us find the right piece and was genuinely fun to work with.

Furniture delayed from original shipping estimate and all follow up has been on my end. No call to explain the delay or checking back in with updates. Now almost double the original time promised and still no furniture. Customer Service horrible.

Very helpful employees and the store has been remodeled and is very nice.Looking for furniture in Valparaiso its a must to visit. It is 2 story high.

This place is huge, I thought it was a little overpriced until I shopped around. They are within 10 percent of other places or beat their prices. Two levels of every kind of furniture from low to high end. I bought a sectional there that they made me a great deal on, we couldnt come to a price on a dining set.

Good news - lots of salesmen and women to help you!Bad news - lots of eyes watching you shop. Little uncomfortable.Pricing is pretty fair, and the quality of the couches we got is top tier - very happy with the product!
