High high quality product. I highly recommend this place if you are trying to get the highest quality meat. in town that you cannot find at grocery stores. The staff are very friendly and the store is very clean. I def would suggest this place to anyone trying to grill or make a fancy meal.

I had never been there before and the selection is amazing but the staff is so rude. I understand everyone is short staffed and I go out of my way to be pleasant but the 2 people I dealt with there were the most unpleasant and unfriendly customer service employees that I have met.

This was my 1st time in Beef Mart in Valparaiso IN. I have gone many times to the one in Portage IN, but that has been closed for 3 years now. I really miss it. The Valparaiso Beef Market is just as superb with their cut of meats, fish and prepared foods. It is organized well, clean and adequate amount of staff to serve you. The staff was friendly, quick to serve and help you with your order. I recommend this Beef Mart 100%. You will leave there with your bag filled with quality food to cook for your family.

Fresh meat..great! Service GREAT. Frozen chicken and noodles..not so much, tasted old and dry. What should have been creamy was grainy and dry.

I place a very large order 2-3 times per year. I call ahead so I do not inconvenience the customers behind me or the staff. The last two times I have called in I feel like I am a bother to the person on the other end of the phone. I live in Crown Point and have a place in Lowell, St. John, Schererville and even in town that I could give my business to but I love the quality of the ground chuck at Beef Mart. Customer Service is EVERYTHING in this crazy world we live in and I SHOULDNT have to apologize for the way I am asking for the product to be packaged for my two 90 yr old parents.

Just tried the hot case: BBQ ribs, half a smoked chicken, bacon cheese tater tots, and jalapeño poppers all for 20.00!!!! DELICIOUS!!!! Will be back!!!!

Favorite place locally to get high quality meat. From fresh cuts to deli meat offerings, Ive never been disappointed. In the year Ive been shopping here, Ive only ever had 1 issue with a fresh cut of meat that was graciously replaced. Their ready-made chicken wings, meatloaf, and baked potato salad are all very good. Additionally, they have some fresh sides if youre trying to get your meal ingredients all in one place. Around holidays, their animal-themed butter sticks are always a hit. As an added bonus, they have specialty items throughout the store as well like Siete chips or St. Elmos cocktail sauce that are always nice additions to spice up a meal.

This is a great store. The meat is absolutely top notch. Frozen food items are really good and taste homemade. The staff is really friendly.

As you walking you find a nice selection of wines, spices, condiments all very appealing. A interesting and vast selection of prepared frozen, meals and items before you even get up to the fresh meat and poultry section.If you want prepared salads, they have them ready to weigh for you. I enjoy their deli meat selections..Boars Head and Eckrich and all looking fresh and ready to slice. The staff are great. They make you feel welcome.

Ive done business with this company for years and now, will never make that mistake again. Sausage and wings last time that both didnt compare to there usual quality. This visit, even after a phone call and being assured they had ample, I make the trip from Hobart and find out that it was a big waste of time. POOR service and POOR communication. I guess return customers are not important.

Went there yesterday. My wife saw it and she has always went to Beef Mart in Portage. She wanted to go here. So we bought several things. Spent $$$$$ Today we ate the Ham and Bean soup. She always loved it at Portage. Well it was soup, 98.5 % soup almost no beans or ham. Very BAD.

With face-to-face dinners rare during the Covid crisis, we wanted to prepare an extra special dinner when we finally had another couple over for the first time since March. We decided to splurge and buy two thick grilling sirloins from Beef Mart, despite the price. While the flavor was good, we were quite disappointed with how tough they were; especially since the person selling them assured us they would be very tender. In future, well go to the grocery store at half the price.

BUSY! Well, thats to be expected two days before Thanksgiving. That said, I was able to get my pre-ordered rib roast and checked out within 12 minutes. The line was out the door when I left.

Went here today for the first time, looking for higher quality and varieties of steak. I usually buy from places like Walmart and Meijers, and needless to say I was absolutely blown away. The quality of the steaks I bought is honestly the best Ive had the chance to experience, and the customer service was just the same. If you frequently cook meat, this store is a MUST.

The Beef Mart has excellent cuts of beef and a mini wine store! Excellent taste. Far superior to grocery stores and at comparable prices! Their beef tenderloin is to die for! After grilling its super tender and moist and you can cut it with a butter knife. Porterhouse, excellent. Ribeyes, excellent. Simple ground beef is fantastic. Pork chops super juicy and tender. Fresh sliced ham and turkey are awesome. They have frozen pre-packaged steak or chicken burritos that are restaurant quality. They also have frozen chop suey. Youre thinking frozen chop suey? Im telling you the chop suey is great! There are always lines of people placing their orders but the staff is great and the line moves right along. The checkout staff is super efficient also. AAA+++ all around. You wont buy meat from a grocery store again, guaranteed!

My grandma and I have been here together a few times over the years and we would go more often if the staff was not so rude. We have never had an issue with the products but the last two occasions have made me never want to come back. This morning around 10 am we were helped by one of the ladies and she was SO RUDE. My grandma was trying to explain which roast she wanted and she looked at us like we had five heads and was easily annoyed. I then ordered beef stew meat and my grandma headed over to the other case to look. We got separated and there was only one other lady getting meats as well and she was being helped by someone else. The lady helping us was whispering to someone else and they both looked at us as if they were talking about us (very strange behaviors). She came back and asked if we wanted anything else and got mad because she didn’t realize we were together and yelled at my grandma because she couldn’t hear her. My grandma was very upset at this point and we ended up not getting the rest of the meat she wanted. We then get to check out and the lady helping us literally threw it all down and stormed off. We never acted rudely to her, the process of getting in line and being helped is confusing, and my poor grandma felt as if she was being talked about (in the car she said this was how she felt the last time). Then the cashier was just as short with us. Again this isn’t the first time this has happened to us and I know people make mistakes with their actions; but when you work with the public be a little kinder. It’s a shame because we love buying our meat here.

Okay, truth be known, I only eat chicken, which lets face it, is chicken. But this place sells me my dog bones ($7.99 a bag in the frozen section) and my rescue mutt thinks Im a god when I bring them home. Not only that, but the people who work there are friendly and fun. Even though Im not buying 3,000 pounds of steaks and some top shelf mustard, they treat me like royalty. My friends swear by their steaks. Great place. True Valpo landmark.

One of the best places to get meat in the Region. Cubed steaks, pot pies, deli salads, bacon bits, and house made croutons are super tasty! Its not cheap but very well worth the money. Also try the lemon chicken rice soup and cabbage rolls! Make sure to go on Saturday if you also want to get the best wings ever, as Valpo Wings are only sold on Saturday.

My mom bought me 2 tbone steaks for my birthday. One has no loin and rittled with grissle. The other one is black. 42.00 is a lot of money to them. They order curb side pick up and the fact that you chose these steaks for them is shameful. I will recommend they dont buy from you. Stracks has better steaks and thats not saying much.

Ive never been to a business where they dont appreciate their customers. I came in here the other day waiting my turn in line and I started chatting with another customer. This sweet old lady said the last time she was here they were so rude and mean to her. A few minutes later I experienced what she meant. The lady was so rude and aggressive! I was so taken back that I left this store, what a terrible experience here. I usually spend $300-$400 a month on meat, so now I’ll find a business that knows how to treat their customers will get my business.

The best meat market in North West Indiana.

The meat is good but the employees and petty. I just had to listen to two of them grumbling over packaging and pricing my hamburger order separately. The last time I was there the guy that was taking care of my order was very easily angered and showed it over asking someone else that worked there a question. I won’t be shopping here again. Wrapping up meat and Slapping a price on it really isn’t rocket science and they should leave their attitudes at home.

The only place in northwest Indiana to get a good cut of meat. Prices are good, customer service is better. Try their homemade products they are awsome. You can call ahead and have larger roasts pre-seasoned and tied. What else can you ask for. From lunch meat to lamb roasts they have it all.

Very good quality meats that are fresh. I finally found a place in Valpo where I didnt have to buy my meats prepackaged, makes a huge difference. The marinated chicken breasts are tender and not overly spicy, steaks are tender and very good cuts.

Usually Ive had a great experience with this company. I smoke a PRIME rib standing roast every Thanksgiving for my family. This year I received a CHOICE standing rib roast...not the same thing..I called 4 days prior to order said PRIME rib standing roast and when I got home boom. So I called to let them know of the mix up and was told well you need to call ahead and order a prime grade 3 days in advance and that on Xmas they would have some xtra at the store ...so to my family we will be having our traditional PRIME rib standing roast on xmas...from another beef provider.

Just left Beef Mart with my mother. We were greeted with hostile employees. The shop we normally go to has a take a number system. This place everyone just forms a line (no sign indicating to do so). We werent sure on what to do since we stood around waiting to be helped, and a line had started to form. The woman then asked if we had been helped and when replied with a not yet, another woman said well they havent been in line so of course they havent. Not only was the way she said it very rude but it flat out embarrassing. We again, have not used this shop that much in the past so we had no clue on what to do. They werent busy at all, the woman should have had enough patience to inform us POLITELY that we needed to get in line.
