Some one in management thinks turning the interior illumination down by 1/3 is a good idea. The lighting has been 100% LED since at least 2017. How much money will this save versus only doing that after closing at 11pm? Its hard for my 55 year old eyes to read under these lighting conditions. Why should I shop here?

Super affordable. This Walmart features many things that can be found in other Walmart super centers. You will find the best deals and prices here. The interior is clean and up to date. It is conveniently located next to highway 49.

I will never shop at the Valparaiso Walmart again the experience there today it was so unbearable first of all I there were no carts in the store I had to wait to get a cart next they didn’t have enough cashiers to check out I waited 44 minutes in the line finally I had to just leave the store, the cashier I was in line with was so slow that the cashiers next to us we’re doing three people to her every one and a manager is standing by observing all this and watching these lines grow and does nothing. Walmart is a terrible operation and a terrible store from now on I will only support Amazon target and Meyer I will no longer shop at Walmart you lost a customer. The Walmart store in Valparaiso as a joke and they need to find new management and overall that store and it’s entirety

Overall very coinvent. very helpful in the auto department. The only problem I had was getting a quick turn down from the Auto department when I missioned my friends car was showing steering transmission alter. They didnt even care to look at it and brushed me off to the side, And it turned out it just needed more engine oil. The Walmart is massive and the prices are very good. Id recommend for the prices.

I place my order & pickup. Best they have to watch EXPIRED dates, like my Turkey Breast expired 10/1. My bread molded about 4 days after pickup.

I love the curbside service. Staff are friendly, they never complain. It is such a convenience, a luxury, to create my order online, someone else does my shopping & packing. I just pull up for my bags and drive home. It gives me time back in my day. Highly recommend.

If you are doing extensive shopping, prices are overall quite a bit cheaper. Their produce is wonderful. Best sweet corn anywhere. They never have enough check-out lanes, though, and I dont like checking myself out because theres always a problem I have to get help with. I would shop there more often but its clear across town at the southeast end, and we live in the northwest end, so with traffic so bad now its a hassle to get there. We need another walmart at the north end!!

Overall happy with shopping. Grocery appeared bare in some areas. Needs more registers open at check out. I refuse self checkouts

Love the selection of everything here way better than Portage store and they have cashiers there thats why I go out of my way to go there plus I can ALWAYS get service at the deli Portage is VERY hard to get some one to wait on anyone

I think the app of ordering and picking up needs to be overhauled. Ordered items had a substitute which would be like ordering tomatoes and getting tomato soup. Also items on the app that say are available go unfilled, but still show as available. I think they call that bait and switch.

Went to Walmart to buy a dog bed. Could not find the one their app said they had in store. Since no employees were around, I called the front desk and asked if someone could help me in the dog bed section. To my surprise, I was simply told no. We have no employees to help. They offered no other help at all. Period.

I love Walmart products and product displays and the friendly service I receive there.

The entire store was in disarray. Looked as though toddlers had been doing the stocking in all departments. Although, Id say, toddlers could have done a better job.

Stock really varies due to supply chain issues. Some weeks are better than others.

I truly enjoy my shopping experience at Walmart. I like to sniff the candles. They smell delicious. Sometimes I wish I could eat them. Im sure it would taste delicious, Im sure of it. My biggest memory is when my ex-husband and I had a fight here. We were in the deli section. I wanted to get potato salad. But Terry wanted coleslaw. And we argued. I really wanted potato salad. Like, really really bad. Terry was a baby and stormed off with his coleslaw. I bought my potato salad and we were both happy. Looking back, we could have just bought both deli salads. But Terry was immature. Thats what I get for dating a man who slept in the same bed with his parents until he was 26.

All the Walmarts are pretty much the same as the other. No difference here.

Has definitely gone down hill. Seems like they never restock items. Shelves are always empty. Employees are hard to find and rude. The Deli is the worst. Tired of having to wait for the people filling on line orders to move out of the way so you can get down an aisle. They only have a few cashiers working so your forced to do self checkout, which now they have closed most of the time. Been to other grocery stores and there shelves are always stocked.

Always hate going there. No one is helpful and if you dont have receipt they treat you like a thief or something even when you never return anything...(weird company)

This Walmart is the absolute worst location ever for the Pharmacy. Kimberely in the pharmacy is the most unprofessional person and should be fired! It does no good to complain because nothing is ever done!

My vehicle has a vibration so they would not rotate my tires. They had no problems installing new tires with the same vibration. There so called mechanics are novas at best. Dont take there word as fact because its not...

Was helped in the electrics department by a man named Blaine. He was super friendly and helpful.

Staff is friendly. Produce are good and price is as expected. The website was right about the stocks.However, the place felt a little bit dirty and very messy.

Good store. They get very busy since they are the only game in town for tons of small towns near Valpo but they do a good job of keeping up and Ive never dealt with horrible lines there even on the holidays.

A Walmart is... well a Walmart. No sophistication with an ample amount of camouflage and body odor. Dont get me wrong, Im not snobby; I grew up dirt poor and am sure contributed to the BO in my younger years. Its a decent layout with your common Walmart needs. Pretty good size. My only gripe is the going to all these self checkout registers. I like social interaction and I feel like the whole world is moving against it. Thats a personal opinion though, so take that as you will.

Walmart is definitely gone downhill over the years. If you dont watch self checkout you wait in a line forever because theres usually only one or two cashiers working.

We have a new variant of the covid virus starting to circulate and instead of Walmart trying to maintain safety and enforce their own mask policy, they dont do much of anything. In fact, most of the employees can be heard at random times calling covid a hoax or spreading other kinds of dangerous misinformation.

The store is very popular. The parking lot is very chaotic and very difficult to navigate around other people on the right side. The floors arent the cleanest. However, they did have a good variety of products. But they contact this with a lot of their products being out of stock. Their employees werent exactly friendly either. Id go here if I didnt have time to go somewhere else.

Online grocery pickup will have you waiting 40min or more. Has happened 3 times now, using the app and everything. Easier to just go to a different store and go inside to shop. People arrive after you and get their pickups

Most people are hardworking and helpful but there are a few (both employees and managers) that will do the bare minimum and give you the run around (literally! Yesterday I was sent to three different departments, only to finally get help in the one I visited first -- but found a different employee willing to do the right thing) It doesnt take that much time to help someone and the social impact is much farther reaching than the time you saved getting rid of me.

A lot of traffic and hard to find parking. Walmart Pickup has been okay, but is a far cry from when it started. I would rather pay more and go to Target or Meijer as usually a trip to Walmart is infuriating.

Only reason we will go there, is because it is close and we only need a couple things. Screw Walmart. Putting people out of jobs.

I Doordash for side money, so I can only pick up orders at the stalls. As I write this Ive currently been waiting for almost an hour. This is a repeat occurrence

Waited for my grocery pick up order for 30-40 minutes. My pick up time slot was 4-5 pm. Groceries were brought out at 5:15. Sad that I will no longer shop there because their service is just terrible. The employees I spoke to were kind. That’s my one positive part of this experience. I understand grocery pick up is slammed right now, but they should probably hire more people to get orders out more efficiently.

This Walmart is the rudest employee I have ever seen! I wish I could give this 0 stars!Never have I ever had a problem going into this Walmart or any other walmart without a mask, due to health issues and Religious issues until today.The guy outside the door asked me if I had a mask and I said no and told him why and he said its ok go ahead and go in. I walked inside Walmart and the guy standing infront of the carts asked if I had a mask and I told him no and why and also told him the guy outside said it was ok. But this guy straight up told me I am NOT WELCOME to shop at not only the Valparaiso Walmart but I am not welcome to shop at any other Walmart either unless I wear a mask. I explained to the guy again why I cant wear one and he told me that he doesnt care what my excuss is and then told me to leave or he will have me escorted out of Walmart.As of this moment, I will never shop at this Walmart or any other Walmart. And I will make sure to post on every social media, on every news channel I can find and let all my friends and family know how horrible I was treated and ask everyone I talk to to please boycott the Valparaiso Indiana Walmart.I feel I am owed a huge apology for being treated so horribly! And I also feel it is only right for this man to be fired!This man had no right treating me like he did and embarrassing me in front of everyone. Ive never been so humiliated! Shame on this man and shame on Walmart for allowing their employees to treat their customers so badly.

I ended up with the perfect frame and progressive lenses. Two others helped as well. Outstanding and professional staff.
