Ordered the iced Miel (agave, cinnamon and oat milk coffee) and it was divine! Dagger Mountain is tucked back at the end of a side street and is a little quirky to find, but the Miel made it worth it! Yum!

We’ve been here a few times when visiting family in Portage and it’s COMPLETELY worth the drive. It’s obvious these folks know their stuff from the roasters to the café. We’ve had delicious pour overs as well as bags off coffee for home.

We were there for the first time. The Limestone Blend was pretty good. My wife had a Latte with double heat art. My son had green tea drink. I was surprised so many customers in the Sunday morning in the very corner of the town. We had a great time there.

The iced orange mocha is excellent! I was blown away! The curbside service was fast and convenient as well!

I tried this Coffee Shop a few years ago with my boyfriend, I Still consider it to be the best cup of black coffee I have ever had. The location is a little strange, but absolutely worth going if you are a coffee drinker.

They have good coffees. I like their store and usually get hot mocha from them.

This is very good coffee...different than the others. Wouldnt have known about it, if it hadnt been shared word of mouth. MOCHA is excellent and unique, as is their Limestone Blend.

Amazing espresso drinks, pour overs, and exceptional roasted coffee. I get nearly all my beans for my coffee from here and am never disappointed! The staff is always friendly as well if you have any questions about their coffee, drinks, etc

Off the beaten path, but worth the extra few minutes. Knowledgeable staff. They had 4 single origin roasts and a blend on pourover with a v60 in addition to the usual selection of espresso drinks. Really neat and cozy space at the front of their industrial roasting facility. I had a Columbian pourover, it was delicious. Will definitely stop back in next time Im passing through.

Stopped in for our first visit. I drank a cortado and a shot of Limestone. My wife had a latte. The oat milk was surprisingly good. The roasting is excellent and the barista was pleasant, helpful, and skilled.We liked it enough to walk out with two bags for our La Pavoni at home. I personally found the music a bit headache-inducing, but Im an old man now.Id recommend Dagger Mountain if you are in the area. The outside looks like a storage shed. Be brave and go in and enjoy their love.

Excellent coffee and the owner was very friendly. If you buy a bag of their single origin beans you get a free cup of that coffee with it. Excellent place, highly recommend, and will definitely visit again the next time Im in the area.

Im not local but always looking for great coffee on road trips. Got my coffee to go and after first sip was immediately looking up their website. Excited to see they sell their product online and even have a monthly club. Never thought Id find a place comparable to Duluth Coffee Company but this place is amazing. Customer service was excellent and clearly knowledgeable on their coffee. ❤❤❤

Its been a while since Ive been here, but The Coffee Is Just Fantastic!! The staff was nice from what I remember. The place is cute, down at the end of an industrial park type of road. Ohh, and did I mention that The Coffee Was Fantastic!?!!I think it speaks volumes that every review on here is five stars.I need to get back here again soon.

I had the pleasure of being helped by Anthony, He immediately made it a point to make me feel comfortable as I had never been before. He not only explained to me the majority of different coffee they offered, but being a difficult person when it comes to choices, he was more than happy to pick one out for me. I just moved here from Atlanta so this place was the first to provide a similar atmosphere of home. Thanks so much Anthony, Ill definitely go out of my way to grab coffee here from now on.

While waiting for my daughter’s dance class pictures to progress, I snuck out and around the corner for an iced coffee. The recommendation was perfect and the atmosphere is just what I (my spirit) needed before heading back into dance-mom central.

Stopped by because Google said they were open but the shop was closed. Called for their hours and one of the owners happened to be there cleaning for their opening Monday. He invited me in and was friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. Seems like a good shop with a friendly staff, cool ambience, and good coffee (only tried the Kenyan but so far so good). Can see myself becoming a regular. Definitely worth checking out.

This truly is the best place for coffee and espresso in the Valpo area, and the only option for locally roasted beans (and excellent at that). Actually, let me expand that: probably the best coffee spot in northwest Indiana. A bit hidden, but everyone seems to like it that way; the seeming remoteness in this small industrial park seems to adds to the charm, and is especially nice when the weather allows for opening the garage door to the outside. They do an awesome job, and I send people here all the time.Be aware they are a dairy-free zone — I admit I was skeptical when they made that move, but I’ve come to love the Oatley oat milk which complements the coffee amazingly well (not to mention holds up in latte art). It has ended up not being a deterrent in the slightest...and neither should it be for you.

Best Micro Roaster and Coffee Shop around. Welcoming and knowledgeable staff, great atmosphere. If you are a coffee geek, this is the place for you, but you do not have to be to enjoy this place. Make sure you buy a bag of beans so you can enjoy a great cup anytime. You will not find a better roast anywhere, that includes Intelligentsia, Metropolis, Stumptown, Big Shoulders, etc...

I love this business! Not only are the drinks amazing (in taste and the way theyre displayed), but the atmosphere of the whole establishment makes you feel very comfortable. I am a STEM major student and this is my favorite place to study/work on homework.

If you are looking for more than Starbucks can give you. Stop here and Taste what coffee was always meant to be! Whether they are roasting the beans, doing a pour over, or just making iced coffee, they approach it with perfection in mind. Do yourself a favor and stop in!!!

Dagger Mountain is one definitely of Valparaisos best hidden gems. The staff is very welcoming, and they are all knowledgable about the coffee and tea products that they sell. Dagger Mountain is a great place study, meet up with friends for coffee, and relax. They offer a variety of coffees that dont have creamer or cow milk because the coffee is delectable on its own. The coffee shop also has delicious teas, and a to-die-for hot chocolate. Overall, Dagger Mountain has something for everyone that is healthy and carefully crafted by the cafe baristas. Highly, highly recommend visiting Dagger Mountain.

Walked into the shop today. Was greeted quickly. Was given information on the different types of coffee they offer. Decided on the Kyoto iced coffee. Absolutely amazing! I can see myself coming into this shop quite often.

Bought a bag of Kenyan ROI and got a free cup of the same. Since there is no cream and sugar at the roastery and because it was late afternoon, I took the sample home and poured it into an airtight container. The next morning, I heated it up in the microwave and tossed in some non-dairy creamer. In other words: I committed massive sacrilege on this immaculately crafted artisanal brew. But the result was still one of the best cups of coffee I have ever tasted! So please, buy this coffee. And drink it the right way: hot and fresh!

Went in to grab a cup of coffee. They had pour overs, which are my favorite! The barista poured it perfect, weighing it well and not pouring too quickly or slowly. Coffee turned out fantastic! Got the limited time ruthagati, highly recommend it. I also picked up a couple bags of coffee. It was a bit pricey, but it is a local roastery.

Solid service and eclectic atmosphere. Enjoyed everything Ive tried! I make it a point to stop in anytime Im in Valpo.
