Trent and his crew are Great to work with!Updated my hearing aids and I hear much better now. Left a store and latter discovered one of my hearing aids missing. Put the brand new hearing aid to the test. Used the Fine My Hearing Aids feature to locate them. It gave me the address of the store where they where located and I retraced my steps. Someone in store found them, didnt realize what the device was and put in waste by register. Meter was strong by register and I found them in small waste can. Saved the day as I found my new hearing aids!

I came in to get some molds done to send out for some in ear monitors, experience with Trent and the Ascent Hearing Center team was great from the time I first called to get a quote to actually seeing them in the office. Trent did a great job explaining the process and what to expect when he was taking the mold and he also made sure that there was plenty of material so the molds turned out right the first time and met the IEM makers needs. Will definitely go back to them in the future if I have any other IEM or hearing protection needs!

So...this was the first time I went to an audiologist who specializes in Audioprostology (fitting a patient with hearing aids). Let me tell you about this visit. It was for my elderly neighbor. She was not only wearing one hearing aid but needed two AND an upgrade. So I drove her to the office which is on Calumet in Valpo across from Le Peep resturant. We went into the waiting room (masks required), had super friendly and respectful staff get us in to see Dr. Trent Harris. Obviously you see a technician first for screening purposes. I believe Lindsay is her name. She is VERY patient with the elderly. So, she did her part of the visit, and then onto Dr. Trent. He gave my neighbor a hearing test, compared findings from last years visit, and then acquired a new set of hearing aids that are very inconspicuous, fit her, and adjusted the decibels. Threw in a box of batteries for no charge too! Checck their website, they offer so many free follow-up services as well.Trust me on this one folks.

I was diagnosed with tinnitus approximately 18 years ago. At that time, I was told that it was my noise and I get to keep it as there was nothing that could be done. For those of you who suffer from this affliction may be aware how irritating / debilitating it could be as the only time you are in silence is when you are asleep. Day and night, a constant irritating companion is always there. Over the years, it became louder and increasingly more irritating. Unbeknownst to me, there is something that could be done. I am forever grateful to Ascent Hearing Center. Not only do they have an excellent staff, customer service and products, they gave me a new lease on life. The hearing aid that I was fitted with has a tinnitus masker which means it seemingly quiets the noise. I can live my life without that constant irritating companion (tinnitus). The only time I am aware of the noise now is when I take off my hearing aid. Ascent Hearing Center improved the quality of my life tenfold; and I am grateful.

Trent is a great doctor and person. He takes the time with you and explains everything to you. I was very impressed when I arrived there. The receptionist was so nice & friendly. When I met Trent & we started talking i knew I had come to the right place for my hearing. I could tell right away he listened to my problems & then tested me. I am so pleased with hearing aids from Ascent Hearing Center next to the DISH Restaurant on Calumet in Valparaiso.I was having difficulty understanding especially female speech. I do not have a great hearing loss, but wanted to prevent having some tones forgotten by my brain if I let them go unaided too long. I also wanted to learn to manipulate and use the aids while it is still easy for me to adapt.The technology improvements are amazing compared to what my late husband dealt with for years. I do not have a mold of plastic in my ear which I feared might irritate my very sensitive skin. I quickly forget the aids are in my ears and I fear I might step into the shower wearing them. Trent Harris assures me I would HEAR the water noise and the modern aids are more water proof than what my husband had.After wearing them a few weeks I still felt the left aid was too loud. Trent quickly reduced the volume to satisfy my high sensitivity. It is perfect now, no static and my own voice sounds normal to me.I did not know until after I purchased them that STARKEY aids are top of the line... top on the list to be approved by Medicare (in the future, hopefully).I am so pleased with the friendliness and caring of Trent Harris and Shane, his assistant.
