Work for a piano technician and he had a full upright refinished here. Really good work! Saw a few other things refinished by owner and they look like it was just purchased.

I experienced the lack of responsiveness the negative reviews commented on when I dropped off my vanity last year. I had nearly given up on seeing my piece again, until I spoke with the new owners. Within a week of contacting the new owners, we have our vanity back and lm delighted with how great it looks. The next time I have some furniture restoration needs, Im headed their way. Richard and co. know their stuff!

Old Friends Finishing restored an antique 19th century chair for me, and I cannot express how thoroughly pleased I am. I couldnt believe the difference that they made. It looks brand new, and yet absolutely true to the original period. I would, without reservation, highly recommend Old Friends Finishing.

Dropped off oak boards for an old pickup bed restoration. They knew exactly what was needed. Looking at the work they had in process I am sure they will be excellent when completed. They will work on small paint jobs like motorcycle gas tanks etc. What ever fits in their paint booth. This shop is a great findFinally finished restoration - posted photo of truck bed. Excellent job Old Friends, Thanks

Ive used Old Friends for 11 different projects. Each one turned out to be a high quality restoration of a sentimental piece of furniture. One time their interpretation was not quite what I had envisioned, and they redid the project (an antique radio cabinet) for no cost. My latest project was the doll cradle my mother played with in the 1930s. With Old Friends repair and refinish, the cradle is ready to present to moms newest great grandchild and will truly remain an Old Friend in this family.

My parents have used these guys for refinishing and repairing wooden furniture since 1978, so despite some of the bad reviews, I went there with my latest craigslist purchase to get it refinished. They helped me unload the table, we discussed how much work it needed and my budget and they said 4 to 6 weeks. I paid a deposit and went about my business- planning to pick it up around Halloween. They called yesterday and said it was done. Not 6 weeks. Not 4 weeks.4 DAYS. DONE. MIND *BLOWN*It looks great and I am very pleased with the whole transaction. Now, will everyone get their project done in 4 days? No. Mine was not a large or complicated job. But still, I am amazed that the turnaround was so tight.I would say that you should at least give them a try.

They refinished 4 dining chairs for us and did a beautiful job. We took in a sample piece of wood and they matched the color perfectly on the chairs. We are very pleased with their quality of work!

This place is terrible. They kept my three items for six months doing nothing with them (except for reattaching one leg on a table--but none of the refinishing work was even started). I even stopped by there four times to check, and each time, well get to it. If they did not want the work, which became sadly apparent, why didnt they just tell me--instead of storing my items for six months. Finally, slow on my part, I picked up my unfinished, untouched pieces today (after a second quote much higher than the first) to take them somewhere else. And they did not even have the courtesy to dust (lots of dust) that had gathered on my furniture. BOO to this place and stay away from it. Old Friends is now New Enemies. In a teenagers voice (I am not): They suck.

Horrible service and lack of communication. They did not fulfill service request for a very small and simple project, months past quoted completion, despite calling three times to check the status. I picked up my item unfinished and am going elsewhere.

Do not take your furniture there! We dropped off a table on 12/29/12 and was told it would take 6-8 weeks to finish. We called after 8 weeks and were told that they were getting to it and would call soon. Called three weeks later and was told they had an unexpected big order. Call one more time and was told to be patient. My husband came to the store after almost 5 months to pick it up! They hadnt even started the refinishing work. On top of that, the table is now scratched all over the place from being in their warehouse for 5 months. Never had service this bad!

I love the way my oak chairs look after old friends stripped, reglued and finished my oak kitchen chairs. It would be easier if they had samples of finishes or even a binder of previoo select from but we got the job done.

I want to right away begin this review with a 5 star rating, knowing that some people are only interested in that opinion. For those of you who want more information here is a synopsis of our journey with Old Friends. Our piece of furniture is a antique fainting couch that we had inherited from my mom who had bought it at an estate sale in Anchorage AK. After several moves through 4 different states, this piece of furniture in our opinion had seen its last days, and was on its way to the landfill. In a last ditch effort to see if it could be saved/repaired/revived, we spoke with Rita, an Old Friends employee. Her excitement and enthusiasm for the transformation of this trashed, broken couch persuaded us to let them have a go at it. We cant say enough good about our experience with these very talented craftsmen/women. Their skills in restoring this couch were well tested and they passed with an A+.We are thrilled with the finished product of our new antique fainting couch. Thank you doesnt begin to express our deepest gratitude, we hope that sharing our pleasure in Old Friends professional grade work brings them an abundance of new customers. 😀😀😀👍👍👍

These guys must be high all the time... Promised me finished product in 2-3 weeks. After losing my stuff, then claiming it was almost done and promise to be done by X day, three different times........I finally showed up and took my stuff back - untouched, un fixed, un repaired after 3 months!!!Do NOT take your projects here. They Lie, They suck, and they Lie some more. I think theye either Methed out or Laquered out!
