New Assistant Manager (Ashley) is horrible. I needed help yesterday with an item that is secured. There was a line at the cash register, and I couldnt find any other associates. Ashley was speaking on the phone. I stood about five feet from her to give her time to finish her call. I heard enough of the conversation that I could tell she was not speaking to a customer... she saw me and walked away to another aisle so she could continue her conversation. She didnt acknowledge me in any way other than to walk away.I again looked for someone to help me, but couldnt find anyone. Came across Ashley again, still talking on the phone. I said excuse me twice and finally she acknowledged me. I asked if there was someone available to help me, or if I had to stand in line upfront. Instead of helping me herself (cleary shes to important to help customers), she said she would call someone. I told her Id be over by candles. No one ever showed up. I went back into the aisle to see if someone was maybe looking for me. I noticed things had quited down by them. There were no more customers upfront and from a distance I saw a salesperson walking around putting things away. Yet no one was headed towards candles to provide assistance. A young associate walked by with some items in her hands, and I asked her if she could help me, and she yes. She was very friendly and helpful. I also asked her if a request had gone out that a customer needed assistance, and she said no, she hadnt heard anything.Normally, I would walk out of a store and never come back. Why would I spend my money in a store that doesnt appreciate my business? I will say that all my previous experiences at Michaels have been great. The associate that helped me, and the cashier provided great service recovery. It should be management setting the example. The reason you even have this job Ashley is because of the customers who keep Michaels in business. You should remember that the next time you decide to ignore your customers so you can wander the store talking on the phone while everyone else is working.

They have so many cute things and I love that Halloween was 50% off and Thanksgiving decor 60% off anything else there was an online coupon for 20% awesome 😁

Very friendly service and a ton of options for the item I was looking for, picture frame holders, sign holder and miniature tabletop easels. I couldnt find them anywhere else including where I thought I would, which were all local office supply stores or other crafting store like Office Depot, Staples, FedEx, Wal-Mart, Target, Fred Meyer and basically anywhere else they sell stationary or sign making and crafting materials. Not only did Michaels have a ton of options, but they were really well priced. Plus when I checked out the person working the cash wrap was really welcoming and friendly. It was a pretty delightful experience actually lol.

Low inventory but they had what I needed. Helpful staff and easy to find merchandise. Well laid out merchandise sections.

We had custom frames and museum glass done for some artwork I received. The art was in great hands! Im still figuring out the placement but the frames look great!

Michaels has changed for the bad since the remodel. Shelves are not restocked and bare shelves are everywhere now.

The people are amazing. They diserve more than the best. I hope corporate hears their needs and concerns❤❤❤

I love this place. They have a variety of all kinds of things to do with flower arrangements crafting pictures frames seasonal stuff for decorating.

Very friendly employees, but their yarn selection is the smallest of any Michaels Ive EVER seen, and so many aisles have weird black stuff caked into the linoleum? Corporate needs to show this branch some love (and teach employees to wear their masks above their noses).

This is one of, if not, the best, stocked locations, that Ive been to in the entire PDX/Vancouver area. The merchandise is abundant, no widespread emptiness like the other stores, who, by the way Im a bit disappointed with, as shelves in all other locations are so bare, especially my neighborhood location in Gresham, located on Burnside. Ive been told more than once that store, as well as the other bare locations, are clearing it all out before fall/holiday merchandise arrives. I completely understand concept of supply & demand by retail standards, having worked in the field off & on, for over 30 years, but its flipping June & the shelves are bare, Joann Fabrics & Hobby Lobby have better selections currently & all their shelves are full. Michaels still leads the way though for lowest prices.

The first frame shop we visited couldnt meet a 17 day deadline, but Michaels could, without issue or an upcharge. Ill leave the rest of the review once the artwork has been collected. So far we are very happy!

Ive always preferred Michaels due to product and availability, but last night the people came through as the real MVPs. I had three employees who just were great at helping and listening. One was my cashier the other two were helping me with product ideas. From reading things for me (cause I didnt have my glasses on), to giving me great ideas, to running outside to give me my items I left behind. They did all this with a smile and honest care. Props because I know retail can drain your soul and these folks are the real deal. I wish I knew there names to give a proper call out!!

Store recently remodeled a little. Well lit, clean and good signs on the isle to help you find what you need. Seems to be a lot of employee turnover and little training done on where things are located in the store. They advertise now carrying fabric but no where near as much as other craft stores.

Plenty parking and friendly staff,. Staff were very helpful and pretty knowledgeable. Nice assortment of arts and crafts for kids, worth visiting ever few months to see what is new. Reasonable prices, checkout lines can be long but move fast as the cashiers are quick to call for back up. Returns are easy and painless. Would recommend visiting

They have Great prices on almost All of their. Is the only Reason I gave them 33 starsIts because they have been outOne product for a long timeAnd they dont seem to order it in. Understandable given what is happening in the world right now. I am hoping to receive a response from this avenue.I have a question on my recent order: MIK18547032. I bought my second batch of Artist Loft Markers from Michaels. Ive enjoyed them immensely and appreciate the quick turnaround with the curb side pick up. Thank you!I realize the issue Im having with one of the markers is something on the manufacturers end but I was wondering if you guys had any ideas on how to resolve this?I now have two B1 markers but they are significantly different from each other. The older marker is more vibrant blue. The newer one is quite pale in comparison. This has halted a series of illustrations Im working on as the difference of color has made a noticeable inconsistency.I hope to hear from someone soon,Thank you!Beth

I just had the best interaction with an employee named Emily, she went above and beyond to help me and was SO kind. Always makes me feel better knowing that there are still good people and she was absolutely one of them.

It used to be my favorite toy store and it is still a great place to go but they have seriously limited the variety of items they carry so i find myself going elsewhere more often then not.

I placed an order for in-store pick up, and it was ready 2 hours later. Cool. 30 minutes later, an email: 1 item that I needed and had ordered was now unavailable. So I called to find out what happened... waited on HOLD for 5 minutes! Hung up and called back (all this time, sitting in my driveway with my antsy 7 year old). Waited another 4 minutes on hold and finally got someone. In that time, the 2nd item I needed and had ordered was now unavailable, leaving only the why not while Im buying here item. I had them cancel the entire order and will be ordering from another retailer. Poorly done, Michaels, poorly done.

Kathleen was a great help today. Usually Michaels can be a bit frustrating to shop in, as it can be hard to track down employees and they often cant be bothered. Today how ever, Kathleen stopped what she was in the middle of to help me attempt to track down matching yarn for my sons newest blanket. I really appreciate her help. Experiences like that keep me coming back

I would not recommend going to this store, just based off of the customer service alone. My Mom made a call this morning about a Christmas that was said to be in stock here. It was in stock and the lady she talked to said she would hold it for her as she was driving 60 miles to come get it. We got here and they sold it after telling her it was being held. All she got was a very insincere Im sorry. from the manager. As far as the store itself, it was a mess. Boxes of products were stacked all over in the aisles to where you cant even go down some. Carts of boxes were stuck everywhere as well. It was a chaotic mess. They also only had only two employees besides the manager working and a huge line of customers waiting including an customer who did an online order. The manager told the lady with the online order that it wasnt ready and he was just doing it when she got there. Note, he had been standing around messing with his tablet before that. He was not actually getting her order picked for her. I work for Michaels. And this is not how we run a good store. Im ashamed of this store as a fellow employee.

Loss prevention was personally brought over to me and then acted like I didnt see the tall, gay, white man and the shorter, more round black woman quickly turn and point when made eye contact..ninja skills guys (im lying) commend how quiet you werent while crossing behind me. Plus bellowing out Loss Prevention section C or LP for short because that was a hard one to crack... Not trying to offend with the descriptions but I figure the employees there wanted to stereotype to pick me out of the regular crowd which was single moms and older women just trying to burn time before either collecting children or going to bingo, I stand out..with tattoos, and dreadlocks ..so... Ill do the same...probably descriptive enough that the actual employees of this location know exactly who Im refrencing but so vague that outsiders would never know. Would you like to see what I made with the $58.64 purchase I made? Also...I was just another single mom burning time to actually go play bingo and then get my children. Nothing more than a displaced artist needing supplies after a fire took most of what I had and my home. Way to make me feel welcome guys!

If you are immunocompromised or taking COVID precautions seriously, I would avoid this location. The requirement for employee masks is not absolute and I have seen managers at this location wearing masks incorrectly. If masks arent being worn properly by employees I would wonder how serious the rest of the COVID precautions are being taken.

The customer service here is abysmal. I’d like to give them the COVID19 benefit of the doubt but this isn’t the first time. The person who brought out my curbside order stuck their head all the way inside my car (defeats the purpose, doesn’t it?) then literally THREW my items at me. Very unpleasant experience.If you go inside, the lines are so long it takes sometimes 20 minutes to get checked out.As a business owner who is always in need of last minute supplies, this is usually where I go. I’ll make sure to order wholesale as to never have to step foot in this store again.

I can get semi precious crystal beads for jewelry making. They have good prices and when was there last week there was 70% off strung beads. 😁 cant beat that.

Whenever I go here for something I always end up leaving with more! I was impressed with the variety of presents I could pick up there all suitable for our 7 year old Granddaughter. I had really only thought about Michaels as a supply store for craft type projects but on the left side of the store there are tons of items that would make great gifts for kids that enjoy hands on activities.
