Great local store. Glad theyre so close by. Friendly folks willing to help out. Easy to spend money here. Wish they were open later, but I understand.....I like going home nice and early too. :-)

The staff at the Minnehaha location are always friendly and informative. Primarily I go there to pick up my grandsons prescription. Our pharmacist always goes above and beyond the call of duty to ensure our grandson gets everything he needs. And then in finding little things here and there that I cant find other places I have encountered the other staff throughout the store and they are always extremely friendly, helpful, and informative.

Great neighborhood store. They have a wide variety of merchandise - from cosmetics and pharmacy items, to plants and groceries - and a connected hardware store, as well. Employees are always friendly and helpful.

Prices are too high.Feels like an old town favorite though.Garden shop is open and quite impressive as is the hardware selection. It is in a very convenient location as well with easy accessibility.

This is one of the worst shopping experiences Ive ever had. I left this store which I use to loved and soend hundreds of dollars a month at feeling super embarrassed and offended. I was kicked out for filling my cart up to full and when I asked if the middle aged heavy set man with a very rude attitude if he was joking and confirmed your kicking me out for spending to much money at your store? he had the audacity to mock me ane tell me yes in fact that is why Im being asked to leave and then proceed to tell me it is because of covid they dont allow people to be in there store that long. I was in the store for 45 mins doing my shopping for a remodel in my bathroom and shopping for stuff for my house. It wasnt busy and I didnt even bring a purse in the store so I know they didnt think I was shop lifting. I am autistic and have several other mental health disorders that make going shopping very stressful and I do take a little bit longer to shop and find the items I need. I get very overwhelmed while Im shopping(thats why i liked this store its smaller) then to have the employees make you feel so incredibly uncomfortable and like they are bullying you doesnt help. Ive had this happen where they aggressively followed me a few times and almost given me an anxiety attack. Even though Ive always bought everything in my whole cart. This store is the reason I dont bring a purse in anymore so they will hopefully leave me alone. I should of went to homedepot instead but this store is close and it has a lil of everything. I regret spending the $200 i did today and honestly wish I would have just given them the car and walked out. But I spent all that time picking out all those items for my house I really didnt want it to be a waste of time because does employees are total jerks. Ive never been spoken to so disrespectfully from a customer service so if I was the owner or the manager of the store I would consider rehiring because this is not the first time that Ive seen the employees bully and accuse people of doing things they havent done. Ive actually witness them kicking people out for no reason its really sad that the employees are costing this establishment money because they arent doing a good job at keeping the riffraff out or whatever theyre trying to do their honestly pushing away hard-working good paying customers.

Location refuses to join the 20th century and accept chip. Make sure you contact your bank and charge back any large purchases from here. They will do so no questions asked because they only swipe your card, the most insecure method of security. Boycott if you have swipe disabled on your card

They dont have everything hardware store usually has but theyve got the bear essentials and a little bit more including a pharmacy and you know all the stuff that pharmacies usually have in them not a bad little spot customer service is great.

I will never shop here again!I went there to get poultry fencing and got kicked out. The employee I encountered today is the COVID-19 police.I cant wear a mask for long periods of time, especially when its 100 degrees outside and neither can my 12 year old son who was with me. I have a deviated septum and he has asthma.Long story short, he told us to get out if we didnt purchase masks upfront, but he wouldnt let me grab the fencing I was right by and pay for it, which was at the same register he wanted me to go buy masks at. I never thought our country would look so much like communist China! I certainly never thought a bunch of scared hypocrites would ever have any right to police other civilians.

Great neighborhood pharmacy. They have a drive up window that makes it super easy for me to stop on my way home. Austin is the best pharmacist ever!... and his bow tie makes me smile. I have too many prescriptions, and he makes my experience as hassle free as possible.

Helpful staff, great selection.

Staff are always helpful and knowledgeable. Great asset to the neighborhood. Clean and well stocked. We have found just about everything strange thing that needed replacing - cactus potting soil, that weird screw on the shower knob, key copied for new locks, ant houses to prevent invasions during summer, you name it and you can probably find it there.

Love this place. I love getting all the plumbing, paint, gardening tools here plus all the plants are beautiful. Friendly people here great service

I love this store, Austin in the pharmacy is so amazing. I love that they have a little bit of everything. The only thing I wish they carried was the wax melts to make your house smell good.

Theres that certainty of peace and ease going to see a local pharmacist that knows plenty about you (my husband and I) an extension of your beloved doctor (Dr Stephanie Edwards!!! PLEASE COME BACK!!!). Austin is the best. Hes well informed and kindly informs you the dos and donts ... that you end up feeling better driving out of there... Truly, experiencing a feel good moment... its addicting that we no longer just drive up to the pharmacy, but find ourselves looking around finding stuff... unique things... or simply just to pick up an ice cream, the smallest size. LOL

I really like this store on St. Johns and St. James, its reminiscent of the older Hi-school pharmacy stores that were all over Clark County.I love going here for unique things, hardware and all kinds of stuff. From toys, food, candy, cards, home goods, vitamins to gardening, seasonal and pharmacy they have it.Check them out.

I was shopping in the store at 7:35 p.m. (store closes at 8 p.m.) when my six year old suddenly needed to use the bathroom. The bathrooms have codes. When I asked an employee for the code, I was told that the bathrooms were closed for cleaning (we were just by the bathrooms and no one was in there cleaning). I said it was for my son and I was told that it did not matter. We are in there 2-3 times a week because we live close (thank goodness, we were able to make it home in time!). I will not go back. In addition, I will make sure my neighbors know about our experience. I do not feel I was told the truth. As we were leaving another employee, who had not been around when we were told the bathroom was closed, came up and began to mention that they have bathrooms. She was cut short by the employee who had previously told us they were unavailable. I do not appreciate being lied to.On the bright side, my son and I just had a really wonderful conversation about the importance of telling the truth! I am going to focus on that!! :)

Do not go here if you have a medical reason to not wear a mask, they do not want your business. They will swarm you and harass you till leave the store because they will not sell to you. Go litterally anywhere else. I will make the minor effort needed to shop anywhere else from now on.

Very friendly staff, seem to be understaffed, which is expected for a smaller retail store. Not sure of the importance of a business like this in its current location, I do wish we had something a bit more fitting for a front-&-center location like Hi-School Pharmacy here has locked down

Dont shop here... Nothing like buying items and inconveniencing them eating their sandwiches behind the counter. All they want is your money and that is it! They could careless about you. Management at this location definitely needs training in people skills... This use to be a community oriented store... No longer the case!

This store is close to where I live.You are greeted when walking in.The employes are always friendly.When they are not busy they will come up to you and ask if you need help. The store is like a combo of wallgreens and ace hardware. Ive been there about 6 times. Always the same. The nice thing is that theres a lot of departments, a lot more then just a hardware store. They have home goods. Craft stuff, toys, camping, pharmacy. I really dont know how they get so much in such a little store. Every time I need something thats my first choice.

Ive been disabled for 14 years and have been with High School Pharmacy for only the last few years. Austin is an amazing pharmacist who gives you the feeling that you are his only customer, something you rarely find in customer service at all anymore. He and I are on a first name basis, a rarity that, again, makes their customer service top quality. I moved across town about a year ago but refuse to transfer to any one of the Walgreens which are much closer to me, HIGH SCHOOL PHARMACY is worth the drive!!!

I hunted all over Vancouver and only place I could find what I needed was there. Phramist was right on what I needed. Very helpful.

Went in on Friday to fill a prescription and Austin was great. Very friendly and informative.Returned this morning and the staff I asked stocking the health aisles (blonde gal) was helpful in giving me direction where something was and smiled.When I got to the front counter, checkout was timely but it felt purely transactional (no pun intended). No smile and no offer of a bag to carry what I purchased.

The pharmacist here, Austin, and his team are always awesome. I actually go quite a bit out of my way to come to this pharmacy.

The pharmacist is fantastic. He has really pulled out all of the stops to help. He is a master of dealing with the doctors office and my insurance company. Real customer service is a very rare thing these days and this HSP does an excellent job. If you want great service this is the place to go.

Cool place with a large selection of homewares and hardware! Everything from soil and seeds to bandaids and tweezers for when your done gardening! But really its like a small and less costly Fred Meyers.

This place is a modern day General Store. Think of a cross between a grocery/drug store/hardware store/greenhouse/and gift shop that allows you to get in and out without the hassle of going to Walmart. Always clean and well stocked with friendly staff to answer any of your questions. Prices are competitive with Parkrose Hardware.

This place always has what i am looking for and some. Unique little place but good pricing and sometimes has those hard to find items.

This store sucks bad. The only thing good about it is the location and easy access. Its very expensive, if you can actually find what youre looking for. The hardware sets look like theyve been done by a 3rd grader. The sections are Incomplete, not well stocked and poorly organized.The service is also terrible. They seem to have a lot of people pretending to be working, but inevitably there is only one cashier regardless of how long the line is.Save yourself the frustration and go to a real drug or hardware store

My husband and I have never had a good experience here. Each time we come in, the staff is either short with us and rude, or is over bearingly friendly to the point of being pushy. When I went there today, three employees were talking around a cash register and could not help me check out my one item, even though the cash registers light was on. Instead of politely explaining they were busy, one of the men called to another employee to help, which never happened. The location of this store is convenient and, for this reason, I will probably still shop there occasionally, but the customer service is enough to make me dislike the experience.

Austin is the pharmacist at this particular Hi School pharmacy, and he is AWESOME!!! No joke or exaggeration he has found the best prices and helped me with dangerous medication interactions. Plus, he is actually a nice guy and wants to help his clients! Three cheers for Austin!!!

The employees make this business what it is and they go beyond your need & expectation to help, supply knowledge to assist with projects.

We use to live in the Minnehaha neighborhood. We moved to Carter Park 6 mo ago; but still go to the Hi School Pharm on NE 52nd because of Austin. Austin is an amazing Pharmacist.
