HORRID customer service. Never take anything they say at face value. Wish I could give 0 stars.
Worst customer service I’ve experienced. They installed a trailer hitch for us telling us worse case scenario 3 hours. 4 hours later they were done with the install but didn’t replace the panels properly in the back of the car and then wouldn’t help put them back properly when asked. Telling us we can do it ourselves when we paid them to do the work.
Terrible customer service! And 2 workers were helping fix some guys wiring while I was waiting for 30min to get my trailer.
We got a 6 x 12 trailer from here yesterday morning and every single person here was professional, friendly, and efficient! I always have decent experiences at uhaul, but this was seriously impressive!
Not much you can do better! Wonderful service thank you very much made my move much easier and I only needed one 15 truck for moving a full house vs a big truck.. surprised how much fit in the smallest box truck they had! Thanks again! For $82.50 cant get any better than that!!! And get one month free storage but wont need that but thanks for offering. Would do 10 out of 10 ⭐ if I could! 😊
I had a great experience with the service I received from Uhaul Storage at Andresen, Vancouver. WA. After having problems with another Uhaul dealer I switched my hitch installation order to Andresen where their helpful manager and staff located the needed parts and promptly arranged to install my hitch.I recommend you try them. I will take all my Uhaul business there in the future.
Went to get propane. Rang bell, waited 7 min. Rang again, waited 6 min. Said FU6K THIS and went to orchards hardware. They appreciate my business.
I went and asked for a van, she said she didn’t have any, and asked for the next person in line. I said wait do you have a box truck, she said yes. Ok she asked for my license and phone number. Ok. They text me a registration #. She then asks for an alternative phone number, so gave my wife’s. She then proceeds to call my wife why she’s working and says she didn’t answer, you know anyone that would answer? I said nobody going to answer their phone at noon on a work day. She proceeds to says umm yes everyone answers their phone why working. I said give me my license back I’ll go elsewhere if your just going to argue with me...
AVOID THIS LOCATION!! It took 45 minutes to get the truck from the time I arrived at the Uhaul location after showing up 3 minutes after they opened. There was a long line of 6 or 7 people already in line and they seemed understaffed. Jose and another younger man working front desk were joking to each other about a coworker not showing up because he probably drank too much the night before. When I was finally helped about 25 minutes after my reservation time, U-Haul didn’t have the truck cleaned, so I had to wait another 15-20 minutes. Jose was the employee who was cleaning the truck, which I appreciated in the time of covid-19. (Everything was nice and clean in the cab and in the cargo area). He pulled the truck up and told me it was ready to go. I hopped in and carefully drove it about 5 miles to my apartment and loaded it up. After it was all loaded up, we noticed the back passenger tire it had a 3-4” v-shaped tear. I hadn’t hit anything on my short drive and I would have heard the tire blow, so I firmly believe that the truck was not well-inspected before I was handed the keys and the tear was already present. I called the U-Haul on Andersen and they didn’t even apologize. The employee told me to call “roadside assistance,” but didn’t even have the number handy. The employee at roadside assistance was very competent and was able to call us a contractor to change the tire about an hour after calling. He was very responsive and called a few times to check-in and make sure we were getting the help we needed. You’re better off renting from a different location (or rental company) that takes the time to check their fleet for safety concerns.
I picked up the U-Haul in Centralia WA, after hours of waiting in Olympia at a location where the previous customer had not returned the truck. The whole ordeal was a mess, and wasted about 4 hours of the one day that I had rented the truck for. When I went to return the truck here in Vancouver there were issues with the information that the store in Olympia had entered in, and I was thinking it was just going to be another big mess! But luckily Ashley at the Andressen location was super helpful, very nice, and got us out the door quickly! Would definitely use that location again with people like her working there. 👍
My experience with staff in person were wonderful. That being said, just one hour ago I received a voice mail from them requesting I call them when I had time, so I called back immediately. A man answered and asked if I minded being put on hold, I said yes thats fine. 26 minutes and 36 seconds later (Im petty so I made a note of the exact second) I hung up and tried to call again. **I was hung up on.** I tried to call again, and was put on hold- I tried to call a fourth time and was put on hold again. I understand with COVID everything is probably really busy right now- but its 6:30 PM on a weekday, and I was responding to a call they had made to me and asked to return as soon as possible. I used to work as a corporate receptionist, so I completely understand what its like to put a caller on hold and get caught up at the desk- but for 26 minutes? Without any sort of check in to keep the customer informed as to what was happening? And then to hang up on the caller when they try to contact you again? I really couldnt believe it. I dont mean to sound like a mean old biddy on the internet, but really- Im just flabbergasted. I dont know what I could have done to warrant that, literally the only words exchanged between me and the person on the phone were yes thats fine. I hope theres some retraining done about phone etiquette.
Horrible experience pick up and drop gotta one way from Chehalis to Vancouver said 155 bucks by the time I was done in they were done nickland diamond may I paid 300 have been a customer for 10 years and I never go back that was usually good customer service but not with this 1
Dont use this bisness if you expect (on time) arrangements we called a day in advance to have access to are ubox at 12 we got there at 11:50 and didnt get into are ubox till 1:08. this isnt the first time eather every time we need to access it we always have to sit for a while. I dont get the idea of a scedualed appointment if nothing is ready by the scedualed time. Had to ask several people to see whats taking so long and only one female staff member really helped get stuff done. My last problem with the bisness here is the lack of care for the uboxes this and a few other times now we found are boxes fallen over and broken pictures...Thanks uhall8/18/2020 UPDATE: went here again to get the rest of are ubox stuff out but again we scedualed a appartment at 12 but this time uhall was only 30 minutes late on getting the ubox out we will never give another cent unbelievable bisness...
Uhaul is the worst. If you can get a truck from Budget or Penske do it. We rented a truck and tow dolly from a location in Rainier Ave, Renton and returned to Andersen, Vancouver location. Initially online it lets you reserve the truck and extra equipment you want at the location you want. Let’s you go through the whole thing to register and pay etcetera but then they called an hour later saying they only had small trucks and a car towing trailer at a further location. Didn’t have a lot of options so we had to go with that. When we arrived we were told that we had to pack up our truck then come back for the trailer because we weren’t allowed to disconnect it to load the truck ourselves. Huge inconvenience. Because of receiving a small truck instead of the 20 foot we wanted we had to give away a lot of stuff we didn’t want to and also still had to make a second trip back to Seattle for the remaining items. Then when we returned the truck the people at the Vancouver location acted as if we were employees and should be aware of where they pull up trucks and leave the keys in the vehicle. Why would we know any of that? Then acted inconvenienced when they did it. Then this morning I received an email to leave a review and when I opened the link it said I already submitted a review. Uhhh no I didn’t and neither did my partner. So I can only guess the employees are submitting them for themselves. I’ll be calling the 800 number to let them know I didn’t not submit that review.
I am not someone who reviews places and certainly not negatively only if there’s something to rave about. But this was the worst rental experience I’ve ever had. I’ve rented apartments with less headache. Would provide negative stars if that was an option.
They very friendly and helpful in helping me get propane as Im disabled and needed their assistance! They were more than glad to help.
The staff member was helpful, but they didnt explain everything correctly. You have to take pictures of the damages done to the truck that arent marked (which is most of them) on the website, but we were told that you just had to take pictures on your phones camera. Also, they only have a website for roadside assistance, not a phone number, so if you dont have a smart phone and something happens with your truck/van, you cant get help from them.
I had a great experience with U-Haul at 2460 NE Andresen, Vancouver,WA today. They installed a trailer hitch on my KIA. Tom was very efficient and had a great attitude, which I appreciated. Dan (VP Marketing Dir) was in today to help out and he pointed out what I needed. End result was excellent and ended up costing me less from what I was quoted which made me very happy. Thank you guys. I will mention you on face book also. :-)
Better prices and greater availability than any of the other smaller companies I called or visited. When you consider that most people who are moving are more than slightly stressed, (on speaking personally, of course) I thought their customer service was better than I had a right to expect. Keep up the good work, guys.

Had them install a hitch on our Honda CR-V. They were quick, courteous, and friendly. Excellent job at a good price (much lower than what the dealer wanted).Ive always had good results from this U-Haul store!
I really wanted to leave a positive review....the initial rental of my storage unit was easy, and streamlined. However, I emptied/vacated my unit 3 weeks prior to a new billing period and they are sending me bills and now a lien notice. I have tried to call repeatedly, only getting one real person on the line who told me to call the location directly...then gave me my own alternate phone number as their contact line. I have now emailed after an attempt to use their live chat option, that went nowhere with zero response. Obviously the employees are unable to function, their billing is broken, and they are unable to maintain accurate track of their rental units....and they expect others to pay for units no longer in use....more than a month beyond the move out. Wow. What a shame.
I rented a truck from here in Feb 2014, and I saw the terrible reviews, so I thought I would give a review, because honestly, it was not that bad. I used them for 26 foot rental truck in a move. I hate renting cars and dealing with rental agencies for trucks, because I feel like they are always out to get me. So I am careful. Prior to leaving I make sure I mark down ALL scratches, dents or dings so they know I know. Then I look at the gas level myself before leaving. I fill up as close to the place as I can. Also taking pictures of before is always good. If you do that, youll be OK. Email them to them on your phone so they are time stamped.At this U-Haul they were not gushing over me, but they were not rude, and they were prompt in getting my truck and it was easy to return. And they were cheaper than the other Truck Rental agencies. Thats why I liked it.
After some communication issues, my appointment for a trailer hitch installation was moved up 2 days. Estimated time to install was 1-1 1/2 hours. It took 30 minutes for lights and trailer hitch work to be completed. Everyone had great attitudes and the service (customer and labor) was fantastic.
I booked a trailer hitch install on line. I get there and the place is very busy, backed up. I was told It would be 30 later than when I booked. Fine. Then an hour later Im told the dont have the hitch in stock. There is one in Hazel Dell, but no installer. I offer to go pick it up and bring it back for them to install. Great! Thatll save us a lot of time. So I wait another 20 minutes for them to bring my car around so I can play delivery man. Nothing. I ask for the manager again. 10 minutes later he tells me the hitch in Hazel Dell is taken. Would I like to rebook? Uh F*** No. Wasted two hours of my day. He tellse I shouldve called to confirm. INCOMPETENCE and no recompense. I ordered a hitch off Amazon and will do it myself. At least I know what Im doing.
After getting some bad info from national number, General Manager MacKenzie, and Franco and Jacob, went way over and above to make our move go as smoothly as possible. Professional, efficient, responsive and very nice. Will head to this team at this location for moving needs in the future.
Being treated for The covid 19 virus by your physician and unable to work for over a month wondering how you put food on your table pay your bills get essentials etc everybody has been so extremely helpful except for this one place U-Haul storage where they know they can benefit from our losses and sell our property and gain off of this tragedy that were all going through shame on you U-Haul for not taking this opportunity to show you the community that we matter and that our possessions and that what theyre worth matters more to you shame on you shame on you shame on you Ive always used U-Haul in the past definitely will be looking for other things to use in the future I would not suggest this location or any U-Haul location at this point
Made a reservation for a pickup truck and car trailer for the Hazel Dell Location. Went to that location (where we have NEVER had a problem) and we were told that the equipment was at the Andresen location. Got there, waited for 30 min while the one person in he building helped the lady with a contract that had been messed up. Went through the process, swiped my card and put a $107 deposit on a $69 rental. Went out to check the equipment for damage and they had a motorcycle trailer instead of a car trailer. Went back inside and they told me I rented a motorcycle trailer. The price I was charged was for a motorcycle trailer. I said no, I rented a car trailer because I am towing a car. I was told of the price diffeeence and that they would have to do a refund and start over. Refund can take up to a week to process. Not cool. I cant afford to pay two deposits for one rental AND a more expensive rental than I was quoted on top of it. I got my refund and left. NEVER EVER EVER use this location. Rude an unapologetic.
When we got there folks were very nice when we rented a uhaul to clean out our storage. They helped us unlock our unit too. Once we opened the storage unit that we had rented for two years we started noticing rat dropping every where. It was on a lot of our stuff. We mentioned it to the front desk and the accused us of having food in our storage unit and put the the blame on us. We werent telling them for any compensation, we were telling them so other folks storing their stuff there could be notified. Maybe they could set out a trap or two....
Equipment and guys outside are good but check the numbers carefully. When I questioned them at my drop off, I was told by who turned out to be the manager, mistakes werent possible. Later, I reviewed it again when not dealing with aggression, my credit card company helped and the district manager made it right. There was more than one inaccuracy.
So I was very patient but they over charged me 27 dollars on propane. I spent 30 minutes while they tried to correct the problem. Still no money returned! The second I paid money came from my account? So Im not going to talk bad about the employees but technically you stole 27 dollars from me and I would like it back! You dont wait for your money why should I? Also I spend about 200 a month for a year now.
There was a huge line to get my rental, but thats not really their fault. After that it was very easy. Picked up the truck, then dropped it off without having to go back in the store. Friendly staff!

Stupidity at its finest. Told them I will pay cash and they said they still had to put a hold on my card, why ? Then said if I did not have someone local as a contact they could not rent to me. You will never have my business and I let everyone I know how ignorant this company is.
I called to get a quick quote for the installation of a hitch on my car, but they refused to help me until I gave them my cell phone number or email address. I asked why and after a moment of silence they said it was their protocol for saving a quote for me. I told them I just wanted a quick one to compare with my dealership. No luck. Needless to say, I refused to give them my info(so they could call me to sell me stuff or sell my info) and hung up without a quote. Guess Ill go with my dealership.

I make a reservation on line with them 3 days on advance and they call me hours before my pick up saying it wasnt available the even change my reservation for something smaller that i was reserve
Been here 2 years. No wiggle room for loyal customers in hard times even to loyal paying customers. Other than that and rather high price a good place.
Customer service was disorganized & unhelpful however lines were short...Truck was misquoted and original reservation was dropped. No real problems with uhaul overall but if you have the ability go up Andersen hill and go to the Mill Plain location do so. Terrible service!
It was the day that we need to leave for the show and the truck wiring was not working with the horse trail. I had tried to fix it by was way over my head. I stopped by to get a new wiring harness and they did not have one that would fit my truck. They asked me to bring back the truck so they could take a look at it. I pulled in and with in 20 mins. they had me all set up and off to the show we went. I cannot say how much of a life saver they were. Friendly, fast, and new just what to do to help! Thank you guys!
Service was great but a little slow, but the staff was very unprofessional. When removing trailer from my truck the employee didnt engage any of the safety features and just dropped the hitch on the ground. I was going to ask him if he wanted to put up the stand first but he did it so fast and just walked off.
Called and reserved a truck and trailer a week ago for a noon pick up time for 8-11-2018 & U-haul calls me at 10:30 am to inform me they need to move my pick up time to 6pm this evening due to over booking. Im sorry but thats NOT my problem I called a week in advance. This place is horrible. Do your self a favor and send the extra money for pensk
Most disorganized place I have ever attempted to do business with...on August 7th I called and scheduled an appointment for September 7th at 10 am to have a trailer hitch installed...I brought in my vehicle on that monday...gave them my keys and left....an hour later they called me and said we dont have the part...not gonna do business with this place again...

I had an appointment on a Thursday to have a trailer hitch. Trailer brakes the works. Showed up they could not guarantee the hitch would be delivered in time. I told them it was imperative that I had to have it done on Thursday. I had to drive to Beaverton to pick up a Nother trailer hitch then showed up with it and was missed quoted by $185!! At this point it was too late I had to pay it because I needed the hitch to use the next day. I would not recommend this place to anyone

My husband picked up a 14 truck here last weekend with just under half a tank of gas. We dropped it off after closing with a half a tank of gas, after adding 2.476 gallons (we only went about 10 miles). Uhaul is charging us $93 for re-fueling! Unbelievable. Apparently, they are trying to say we picked up the truck with a full tank of gas. Per the contract, theres a $30 fee for refueling, plus a MINIMUM of $4.50 per gallon. So take $93 - $30 = $63 / $4.50 = 14 gallons. WE ONLY DROVE 10 MILES! 14 gallons is not physically possible, even if the truck only gets 5 miles/gallon!Buyer beware!

Typical Uhaul location - employees dont care about anyone and seem to hate their jobs. Just came for propane and spent nearly an hour waiting while employees seemed to be trying bleed as much time off their hourly clocks as they could.
Low key excellent service. No pressure, just easy going professional help with moving supplies, information or hooking up your trailer.
The equipment seems older and in bad condition. The truck we uswd thw ramp was all messed up and the truck it self just seemed very junky. Now folks i understand we are talking about UHaul so its bad rite feom the start so this review is done with that in mind. With these issue said the manager did knock some off the price so it could have been worse. I would have given this place 1 star but there staff was good enough to being it up to 3.So if you get equipment that is sub par when u turn it in ask them to take something off the bill. They seem open to it like it happends alot....

Miss quoted prise ok..Made this U-Box drop a month out confirmed appointment last week. Had to reajust to fit into schedule ok. They call to confirm address and I and what time will they be here. Between 10-12 well they were not here at the time they said no calls to say there running behind. I called to ask what was going on they didnt have an answer Ill message them i was told theyll call in a few you in a few minutes. Still no responce I had to cancel an a pointment because they didnt show up at the time they specified. And they seamed like they dont care if you use there services or not. Its not like I called yesterday it was a month out and confirmed a week out and the day before.
Broken heater, door wouldnt close or seal, super sketchy front suspension that shook the whole vehicle badly at 55 mph. I rented it with slightly less than half a tank of gas. I accidentally filled it up too much and gave them 10 gallons over. So it was returned with almost 3/4 a tank. They still charged me for 20 $ in gas. I reported the fraudulent charge to my bank and was credited for it. After I took it back. Crooks
Pretty spendy but they were at least lenient on the gas gauge, since it wasnt very accurate.
We came in on a Saturday at the end of the month without a reservation. The staff was very nice to us and got us a vehicle reserved for later in the afternoon that same day.
I have been going to this location for several years for storage, truck rental and propane. They have always been very helpful and courteous.
They worked with me and I was able to find a truck in my budget. Ill use them again.

Made a reservation for a hitch install. Apparently someone needs to contact me that the hitch is being shipped ground, yet the reservation was made for a week in advance. No one contacted me, we are leaving on a trip the next day, so there is nothing they can do. Very unprofessional service.

Ours contract was made incorrect in tacoma. When we left trailer in Vancouver they requested x2.5 rates, and denyed redoing the contract. we already payed $150 and still owned around $90. Worst service king i seen in US for 14 years settling.
Misrepresented rates and hours. Access is not 24/7 and basically they claimed we would receive a free month but later denied this. Do yourself a favor and find any other storage unit in Vancouver. Poor storage facility and even poorer customer service.
