I dont know much about Violins. I picked these guys because of well, advertisments, and a user friendly website.My 11 year old daughter is stoked. She loves it. It appears to be super quality material. The band teacher gave the seal of approval.I initially purchased an Eastar Violin on Amazon for 120 bucks. Embarrassed my poor kid, and after a few subtle hints from her teacher realized my mistake.The case is high quality as well. Has a very sturdy clasp, which uh, Im going to have to ask my kid how to work...I almost bought on Amazon for an extra 10 bucks, thinking Id probably get it faster. I ordered this on a Friday, it was on my doorstep on Tuesday, 4 days later.I received two curtosy emails from the Company offering support and advice. I have not needed either, but they certainly really seem ready to stand by their product.

Fast & easy. Violin looks and feels amazing. Pegs snug, bridge looks great. No loose parts. Impressed that strings came already tuned a bit sharp, allowing for expected stretching in the beginning. I am loading rosin on the bow now [possible to add upgrade of preloaded rosin in the future?]. Shoulder rest is easy to place and comfortable to use. Only negative comments:1)the rosin container is a small rectangular shape not allowing rotation of bow/rosin and will cause groove that will cut hairs[I will purchase round cake later]; 2) no instructions on how to interpret hygrometer in case, or what to do if not appropriate reading. The case is lightweight and appears well made (nothing loose or noticeably off). I am so glad I did the offered upgrade to the carbon fiber bow. Weight and balance are very good. Appears well made also. So far, very pleased at this price point.

Just traded up to a full size violin for my daughter. She started with 1/4 size a few years ago so this is the fourth violin that we bought from Kennedy Violin. Every single time the transaction has been very smooth, with great support from real musicians. I was a little skeptical with the Clearance Sale this time, not sure how bad the cosmetic imperfection could be. After receiving I checked it very carefully, I could not find any defects, and the sound was beautiful. I think this shows their perfectionism.

I originally purchased this guitar because a friend recommended it. For the price I feel I got an acoustic 2-3 times the price. Really nice solid cedar top and beautiful rosewood sides. Fully bound on the top and bottom. And the neck is bound.After using for a long time and taking it all over the world eventually the bridge came loose due to the humidity, altitude and temperatures. Even after 4 years of owning it they immediately told me to send it back and they would take care of everything. I didn’t have to pay shipping or anything. They had it back to me within 10 days which includes shipping both ways.So customer service is A+ and the products are A+How can you go wrong.- Richard

I would rated them a five star because of the service and the quality/price of the viola we received on time The only trouble we had was the case came locked and the key was inside the case. A bent paperclip was all we needed to get into it and the service call we made was positive. We upgraded the strings when we bought it. I think my daughter will love it!

This is the 4th violin I purchased from Kennedy. The quality of these instruments has been exceptional. I strongly recommend considering them when shopping for a new instrument.Additionally I want to note that instead to renting we opted to buy from Kennedy. Compared to the rentals the other students had the Kennedy violins held their own at each scale. Now that we bought my daughter her 1st full scale we chose to get a model that will be sufficient for her skill level for many years. Doing the math, purchasing from Kennedy was nearly the same cost as renting through her school/local store except my daughter gets to keep every violin she grew up with and God willing pass them on to her children to children. I cant stress enough how much better I think this choice was.

I upgraded my Henner violin to a Zubak Soloist I am so very HAPPY with it.. I was helped by Owen but a misunderstanding happened I order it by phone and got my credit card charged and after that they said there’s NO available Zubak Soloist I had to wait a week to get it.. so I they returned my money after a week when I order again the price of the Codabow NX changed he said he made a mistake but then he told me before that he spoke to his manager and it’s approved.. anyways it’s not that much..but still anyways.. I have to say, buying a violin is one of the hardest decisions we have had to make. Why so hard? Anyway had a Mendini $80 to start and really got our money out of it, but after 4 years our daughter (15) needed a replacement and the search was on for a reasonable replacement, but a better one. So many to look at some say this ones great, others say its bad. Ran across Kennedy Violins 🎻 while searching videos of top 10 cheaper violins on Amazon. So I went to their own website saw their, process, superb ratings and prices cheaper than Amazon. Watched the video from their store and was sold. We settled on a Brunell which came well packed with some extras and in about 5 days. My daughter says its a great violin that sounds fabulous. Finally I had to call Kennedy for something silly. My daughter called me said the violin arrived and the case was locked with no key. As I was not home, I made a quick call, advised the issue and was told it was a common mistake and she needed to push down on button and not in. Very friendly, and easily solved. Super happy 15 year old and job done.

What a complete setup for a beginner like me. Absolutely perfect. And, MOST IMPORTANTLY, an extra set of strings. Why, you ask? Well, I tried tuning the violin as if it were a guitar - by turning the pegs. DONT TURN THE PEGS - use the small tuners at the other end of the string. Now my next lesson will be learning how to restring my violin. Now that Ive messed up the tuning on all the strings, Im assuming that I should use the pegs to tune each string a bit flat and then bring them up to the proper tune with the tuning screws. By the time I get done restringing the violin, I could have become proficient enough to play in Carnegie Hall.

I am a complete noob to the violin. I have played the trumpet for 4 years and took a guitar class in high school but that was so long ago. We purchased a Carpini violin from Kennedy’s a 1/10 size. He was picky about tone and the average rental wouldn’t do. We’ve moved our way up to a 3/4 and he still lives the tone and playability of his Carpini. We have always had wonderful help from the staff. They truly go above and beyond (even allowing a young man to pick between 3 violins one year, as he tested each one out in a practice room - have to get the right one😉).

Fantastic customer service! When I ordered a Kennedy Violin’s violin through Amazon, the threads on the screw that is used to tighten/loosen the bow were stripped. I called Kennedy Violins, told them my order number and within five minutes they told me that a new bow would be coming in the coming Saturday. My purchase of a violin at Kennedy Violins has been an efficient professional experience! I first ordered a violin about a year ago from a different company and received a giant box with only a bow! So when I determined to do this again, I ordered the violin and found the box on my front porch with a giant gash in the side! Bummer---I immediately called Kennedy to see what to do and they advised to go ahead and open the box as the cases are built well and can withstand rough handling. There is a puncture in the case, but it did not touch the violin. The violin is a delicate, beautiful, take my breath away instrument! This a bucket list project and I am working my way into learning to play. My great grandfather was a luthier and both my grandfather and a great-uncle played violin so I look forward to the journey! Kennedy Violins attention to quality and understanding of the value of music is reflected in the instruments they offer. We just received our second violin from Kennedy Violins, and our experiences have been excellent both times. Our first purchase was over a year ago, and that violin held up to our then-5-year-old’s daily usage perfectly (which is saying quite a lot!). It was a small (1/8 size) instrument and needed to be tuned often but was an excellent value for the price. The new, larger violin we received more recently was on clearance, and we’re blown away by how pretty it is! We’re looking forward to hearing him play it and recommend Kennedy Violins so highly. I am an adult beginner. I have always dreamed of learning the violin. Seeing many for sale on Marketplace for very little money, I thought that I could do this.Fortunately I began researching them before I bought one. After reading many reviews and notes from adult beginners, there was definitely a consensus to purchase a violin that had the potential of making quality sound. I looked on eBay. I looked on Amazon. I saw a Kennedy violin on Amazon that interested me, but fortunately I went directly to their website. Oh my... so glad I did! I found a wealth of information and video’s that allowed me to hear them being played. They also had a note about Black Friday Sales.I ended up purchasing a Louis Carpini G2 package. It’s beautiful! The best part is I had my first private lesson yesterday and my violin teacher looked over my instrument and said it was very nice. It’s definitely not what would be considered a beginner instrument and would keep me happy for a long time. Then he played it. It sang for him.I am so happy with my purchase.Just a note, Kennedy Violins was wonderful to work with. They answered questions. Shipping was perfect. I received exactly what I was expecting if not better!

Ordered my first violin online. Being a beginner and not knowing what is quality, I took it to a local violin shop and had them check it out for me, also had them play it so I could hear what it really was capable of.They were impressed with the quality and the sound, said I couldnt ask for a better sounding violin even if I would have purchased a more expensive one.Very happy with the purchase overall. Excellent company. My daughter loves her violin that we bought last year. It is very high quality and super durable you can tell that it was hand crafted with passion. I strongly believe they should be in all schools across the US that offer orchestra. If you are thinking to go elsewhere to save a few bucks and sacrifice quality, you are doing your child and or yourself a disservice. Not to mention their prices are already fair. The Louis Carpini violin was the best choice for my 12 year old. Worth every penny.

Just received my new violin. I am blown away by the instrument. It more beautiful than I imagined. It has been tuned so well I could play it right out of the box. I practiced for a half an hour and barely needed to tune, as opposed to spending half my practice time tuning before. Only had the instrument one day and feel invigorated.

The violin came the day it was promised. It was beautiful right out of the box.. It was perfectly tuned, all accessories(case, bow, rosin, extra strings, book, tuner and shoulder rest) were enclosed and it sounds amazing- a very rich sound . I havent picked up a violin in 30 years, so obviously I am very rusty, but it still sounded so great. I love it and am so happy that I bought it from you guys. I had been shopping for a month before I decided, and I am glad that I waited. I highly recommend Kennedy Violins and I plan on making many more purchases with you in the future.
