Ordered a new car with Karen. I let her know the things I was looking for both financially based on my trade in and the kind of car I wanted. Karen was super friendly and very patient. If she didnt have the answers she got them for me. Some answers they didnt have the exact specs for as far as financially, however, based on my goal they reassured me they would at the very least meet that goal. They followed through and beat my expectations. When going over my car they looked for any imperfections and if they saw something they pointed it out to me (there were no issues except a small cleaning detail from the detailing crew) and asked me if I would like them to take care of that before I left. They also had me test drive the car before signing anything.Financing was great. They didnt fight me and were very pleasant but as with any business they are out to make money so go in knowing your numbers and worth when it comes to APR. I was however given top dollar for my trade in without any games.All and all Ive been going to them for years and this is by far the friendliest team Ive ever dealt with there. Ive also gone in to other brand dealerships (no names mentioned) to get my wife a car and was not met with near the customer service of this one and most specifically Karen. Highest raiting all the way around.

Stopped by on Saturday 10/23/21 to browse the inventory. Shortly after looking at a few trucks Kyle with the sales team greeted us. We discussed what it was we were looking for in a truck and Kyle quickly showed us exactly what we described. Needless to say within a short time we were trading in my Kia Optima with 100k miles and driving away with a new Dodge Ram 1500 classic. I could not have had a better experience than we did. A person without a uniform or card came to our car a week or 2 ago to get us started in service. We were a little reluctant to give someone our keys or info as we werent sure who he was. Once inside though, Greg reassured us he did work there and gained the confidence of both me and my fiance (vehicle owner). He reminded us that supply chain issues prevented the dealer from providing him with basic needs. He went as far as giving us his personal cell number if any issues came about. My future wife and I will definitely return to see Greg!

Do not go here, they will employ high pressure tactics and you won’t get any better deal than you’d find elsewhere. I’ve shopped for vehicles in the past and have never been so misled and had my time so horribly disrespected. I was looking for a very specific vehicle with specific features and they had the only one with all of the same features I wanted within 200 miles of me. Here is a timeline of my experience:1) I reached out regarding a vehicle advertised online for about $40,000;2) I called to double check that it had the features I wanted and to confirm the price. I was informed it had the features and would be $42,500 because I did not qualify for certain rebates (understandable). I was told the price would be $42,500 plus a dealer fee (listed online as $799), plus tags, tax and title. I requested a written quote so that I could ensure there were no unexpected fees. I was told the dealership did not provide written proposals because they are a small family owned dealership and didn’t want their proposals shopped on them (which was pretty ridiculous considering this was the only vehicle with my desired features within 200 miles). I was assured however that the prices was $42,500 plus the discussed fees. My calculation was that the total should’ve been $46,600 with the additional fees.3) I texted with the salesperson throughout the next couple days because I could not get in to the dealership for another 3 days due to work. I sent the salesperson my calculations since the dealership would not give me a quote. I did not receive feedback on whether my numbers were correct or not.4) I was encouraged by the salesperson several times to place a $500 deposit to hold the vehicle which I refused to do without having a written quote;5) I call in the morning before I begin my 1 hour, 45 minute drive to Venice to double check the vehicle is still available. I get there and all is well until we sit down to go over numbers. The sales person kept pressuring me to complete a finance application and include my social security number so they could pull my credit before they even gave me a vehicle price which I disagreed with because 1) I preferred to pay cash and 2) I didn’t want a hard credit pull in my credit report unless I knew the price etc. I finally get a bid for about $4,000 more than my expected total. Not only is the vehicle price higher but they include in the bottom below the vehicle price, $1077 dealer fee, and tax, tag, and title fees an extra $1895 in smaller print for dealer installed features. So now the vehicle is about $3000 more expensive, a higher dealer fee, and then of course higher taxes. I expressed my dissatisfaction and was able to negotiate to a better price but still higher than the expected price I had texted with the sales person;6)then the high pressure tactics started with me being told that the negotiated price (remember, still higher than what I thought I was paying before I got there) was only available if I agreed to the deal before leaving the dealership and that it would not be available again the next day, etc. So what would’ve happened had I put down a deposit before I got there as the sales person kept encouraging me to do without giving me the price? I would’ve been pressured into paying $4k more for a vehicle or would’ve lost my deposit? The sales person claims they would’ve given it back which I don’t believe.For me I’m not upset just about the price but the disrespect for the 3.5 hours I wasted driving to and from there and the 2 hours at the dealership (total 5.5 hours of my day ruined), the ridiculousness of not giving me a quote beforehand but encouraging a deposit, and the high pressure sales tactics…they’re outdated and aren’t conducive to repeat customers. Save yourself some time and stress and go somewhere else.

Just moved to Florida and had previously sold my landscape business up north including all my trucks. I had been looking for the right truck for about a month and found two I liked at Douglas. This all the while there is a shortage of trucks and prices are at their peak. I dealt with Product Specialist Sam Sapp who provided a low key sales approach. He allowed me to take both of the trucks to my house so I could see if the trucks fit into our garage. He also had answers and or supplied answers to all my questions even at ten pm at night. Sam and Douglas Jeep provided a no pressure sales technique allowing me to make my final decision on a beautiful Chevy Silverado 1500 KTZ, which hours after buying I had two strangers approach me and ask if what I had was the KTZ model and what I paid for it, when I told them it had 61,000 miles and was priced more than five thousand below recommended pricing, they all said it was a great deal, the truck is mintI also dealt with Anthony for financing and was provided a great finance rate and also got an extended warranty that was better than any other extended warranty that I researched online.So if you want a low key sales approach, questions answered promptly and a very professional approach to the pre owner certified and used vehicle business, head to Douglas and ask for Sam.

I do not have a bad thing to say at all about the service department. All the service advisors are knowledgeable and do their jobs very well. They treat everyone with respect and are very friendly. I am now on a first name bases with most of them as my vehicles have been serviced here for warranty and recall related issues since 2016.

I bought a 2020 Challenger here a few weeks ago and had a great experience. My salesperson, Michele Hanrahan, was not pushy and let me control how I wanted the interaction to go. The sales manager, Ben, was also very nice and helped us get to the number I was comfortable paying. I think the entire interaction took just over 3 hours. In the end, I paid what I was comfortable paying, and got to deal with pleasant and competent staff. Cant ask for anything more than that. Thanks!

Nothing impressive. I made my appointment online, which includes oil change. When I arrived at the dealership, the employee there told me he is not doing oil changes, and that they will look at the other complaints I have. Later, he called me to ask me what to approve and said they will do the oil change and AC check for $179, so the total for ac check and oil change would be around $220-$240. When I went to pick up my car the bill they tried to charge me was for $320, that was for something I did not approve. Disappointing.

This was a seamless car buying experience. I walked in one morning. Was shown a couple of jeeps, and I drove one around. Debby was quite knowledgeable about the vehicles, and she was a really nice person to work with. Then, I went home to tell my husband how much I liked the vehicle and he took a look at them. We ended up buying a really nice Jeep because he was willing to spend a little more than I, but I’m so glad we did it! From start to finish the whole procedure took about 2 1/2 hours, driving times included. Not bad! I would highly recommend Douglas!

Shopping for vehicles is not one of my favorite things, but I was pleasantly surprised with our experience with Douglas. The first time I entered the showroom I was graciously greeted by Pete who proceeded to answer ever question I had about the Ram Truck.The timing for buying a truck was a year away but because of the great incentives and very fair trade-in offerings I decided to pursue it further.We came back a couple days later and worked with Brandon. My Jeep Grand Cherokee, air suspension failed on a late Friday afternoon. I drove to the dealership Sat. morning and Don was more than understanding when I told him we were planning to leave on an extended trip the next Thursday. He managed to diagnose the problem on a busy Sat., and promised to try to expedite the parts order and repair early in the week. They did it! The car was repaired by Tues afternoon, and were ready to go......thanks to Don and the team at Douglas Jeep in Venice, FL

For the last several years I’ve had bad experience with Douglas CDJR. I was dreading going there to get a vehicle, but they had the vehicle I wanted in stock. Immediately I was approached by LJ, he is very knowledgeable and not a pushy salesman also very friendly compared to my previous experience here.
