The store is as filled with fun items including metal artwork, signs, soaps, candles, clothes, and in the far rear of the store hammocks! It was crowded and hardly room to walk by people and look at items. The staff was eager to help.

I spent all day shopping in Venice with my sisters and this was my favorite store of the day! Definitely worth a visit! The owner was so friendly and we had an interesting conversation with him the whole time we shopped.There is a good mix of merchandise sold here, including several lines of locally made products. We didnt leave empty handed! Will definitely visit again if ever in the area!

I happened across Island Life on a recent trip to visit my daughter and her family who live in Nakomis. I have strolled the streets of Venice once or twice but never noticed this wonderful establishment. I had seen similar outdoor furniture elsewhere and wanted to check out what they had to offer. Wow, I was blown away at the merchandise they had to offer. Ive always wanted to create a little piece of the Island back home where I live in Chicago and thought this set would be a great way to start!!On my first trip into the store I met Mark and his hospitality was second to none. I told him my little story and we spoke about the furniture as I sat comfortably in it. He is very knowledgeable about the merchandise he sells and makes you feel very comfortable in making a decision. I told him I was going to think about it but would most likely be back the following day. Im not sure why I didnt just make the purchase at that time but when I did go back the next day I realized why. I got to meet his awesome wife Laura! I dont recall seeing Laura on my first visit so Im thankful for whatever made me coma back and make the purchase the second day. Laura is equally as pleasant and hospitable as Mark and the two definitely have a great relationship and way of working with people.This has been one of my favorite purchases in quite some time. The experience was nothing short of incredible. Their communication regarding shipping and such was on point. Youll need a little muscle for the assembly but once you get this put together it really is an amazing piece of furniture. Very comfortable and relaxing to sit in.I get down to Nakomis quite a but and will now look forward to swinging through their shop even if just to say hello to two wonderful people.
