Vernon Hills Golf Course is a 9-Hole course. It is for golfers that want to play some golf. We play in a senior league there, its challenging, and easy to get in and out. There are a few holes with a creek running through them with lots of brush on both sides of the water. Both the fairways and greens are in great shape. We play early there, so I havent had the opportunity to check out their menu. Its a nice challenging layout.

The staff was very accommodating. The course was well maintained. The starter was an exceptional guy!!! A veteran. Acknowledged my service time. We played the course twice. Got paired with another couple for the second round. They were great. I will play here again when I am in the area. There was no pressure. Play moved along well. Felt like a family course where everyone was out to have some fun and enjoy themselves. Thats The only reason I play golf. Thank you Vernon Hills!!!

The course is amazing and I give it 5 stars but this new manager is HORRIBLE and I give him a 2 at most. I used to come to the course fairly often when Jason was running the course and it was amazing, but ever since this new guy Kevin came in, the family like atmosphere dissipated. The employees don’t even seem like they have fun working there.

Great course, specially for the price. The river running down the middle makes it super fun and interesting to play certain shots. Hole 7 is one of my favorite holes, its a par 3 over a pond. Make sure to bring water balls to hit a couple for fun.

It’s a very basic 9 hole course. The fairways are wide and the greens are mostly flat. It’s maintained decently well and the creek that runs throughout the golf course adds a good challenge. It’s a rather quick play.

Greens need to be cleaned and leveled. Too many dents but otherwise a great course.

Good variety of holes and pin placement and the river that runs threw it offers up an interesting choce of club selection.

Very nice course. A challenging but fun nine holes. It may be a short course but the creek on most of the holes adds a fun challenge. Staff here are very friendly and the course is very well maintained.

Good course and have definitely made improvements. My only problem is that a few trees overhang the greens but other than that, I would recommend it

We held our son and daughter-in-laws rehearsal dinner here and it was AMAZING! Jeanne & OB made & served a wonderfully delicious, & beautifully presented, dinner. VHGC was so accommodating with decorating and helping us. The facility is beautiful with the outdoor veranda and view of the golf course and the indoor lodge. There is a great sound system that we used to play our spotify play list and a microphone for the toasts. Best 9 hole course in the area. Lovely clubhouse with a nice patio. Very friendly staff!
