Honestly the best shop Ive been to, moved from pa to CT and out of all the shops Ive been to between the two states (at least 10) this by far is the best one, amazing customer service (which is big to me due to the fact I work in the customer service field) just the staff made it easy and painless. they also didnt look at me as a female that knows nothing about vehicles. which Im very knowledgeable, they treated me as a person. hands down 10/10
Came here to get work done after I went to a different shop that was trying to do more work then what I asked them for. Came to Monro and the staff was so pleasant and did what I asked told them about the other place so they checked what the other place told me I need to have done and Monro assured me that’s not the case. This shop really has ur best interest in mind. So happy and will now be my regular shop

STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!Had the oil change here yesterday, WORST experience ever! First, very bad attitude, not friendly at all. Second, very expensive! Saw their street ad showing 29.99 oil change, but it finally ends at over $80 for oil change only. And today I find the engine oil is leaking to our garage floor!! So, they are not friendly and provide a very bad service with very expensive price. Definitely stay away from this Monro Auto Service!! I wish I could notice earlier that almost no customer there!
Well; Sunday I had a tire blow out. I limped into Monro Auto Center on Talcottville Rd in Vernon. I was greeted by Mgr Eric. He told me I needed all 4 tires replaced. He was able to temporarily patch the blow out until he could get the 4 new tires overnight. It all worked perfectly! He got the tires (overnight Sunday) and I came in Monday and got the job done as well as an oil change. GREAT JOB! Eric and the Staff there all really seemed like they were expert in their positions and I was very comfortable it has all been done done very, very, well! Thanks!
I have been servicing my vehicle last 4 or 5 times at Monroe, also I booked the appointment at 3:30 PM today, i reached at workshop at 3:45 PM. Still the service guy did not do the service saying it’s late. Though the complete workshop was empty still the attitude and behavior of the service guy is not expected. This is ridiculous behaving with old customer. I don’t think I should recommend anyone for this service center.
I have been going to Monro for years at various locations. Bill, George, and Noah are wonderful. I get an oil change at least once a month because of the amount of driving I do and always get great service. I also get all my other work done there for not only my car but my wifes and the prices and service are great. As an added bonus I have a drivecard through Monro and get interest free offers on certain purchases. Great people and place.
It was the time of year for new tires and I decided to check out Monro in Vernon along with a couple of other local shops. I’m not a car person and explained that I’d like something that works well with my 2005 Scion tC (standard). I spoke with the manager Eric and he gave me a few options and was very helpful in helping me decide on what kind of tires work for my commute especially in the winter. He was very patient with me as I could not make up my mind; I felt like he cared and it meant a lot that he took time with me to make the right choice. As I’m new to the area I’m happy to say I feel comfortable going back when the time comes.
I went to get rear pads and rotors put on after I couldn’t get the rusted safety screw out of one of my rotors. I have always done my own brakes. They told me my caliper was stuck (I checked the caliper before bringing In my car and this was not the case). They refused giving me my old caliper back or the box for the new caliper saying there was a core charge for the caliper that they ordered from advanced auto parts. I called advanced and there was no core charge. While I was there, they were smoking cigarettes inside and also charged this poor old lady 80$ to replace a 10$ air filter. The entire visit took about 3 hours. They had to take a blow torch to my old rotor instead of drilling out the small safety screw (completely unnecessary) and the mechanic had bloodshot eyes and must have been smoking dope or some other drugs on the job. Don’t let these guys take advantage of you!

On my on my first visit, an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation, I was told my tires did not need to be rotated. On this appointment, for an oil change and tire rotation, I was not told that my tires were not rotated. After I left I stopped my vehicle to check and it was apparent that no rotation had been done. It is my fault for not learning a lesson the first time, but two times is more than an accident.

I like the services, however there has been some occasions their employees have been forced to come in when people they are in contact with have tested positive for covid, this is not okay and better procautions need to be taken.
These people think because Im a woman I dont know anything about cars... First of all I got a partial synthetic oil change and when I checked the next time I needed to get an oil change they put 3000 Miles... now either the mechanic doesnt know that partial synthetic oil changes last for 5,000 miles or theyre trying to play me either way not great service

I went to this particular location in Vernon last week for just an oil change, came out with so much more knowledge about my vehicle ! .. The tech that was working on my car was Noah, he did such a great job on my car and had exceptional customer service ! .. He checked everything I had concerns with and explained to me in detail about each thing . He made me feel super comfortable that my vehicle was in good hands . Stopped at Monro on my way home having a brake issue, I was very upset and frustrated when I walked in and Shane was very understanding, informative and Thoroughly explained what was going on with my car. Being a woman, I am always Leary of being “taken for a ride” and being “lied” too about what needs to be done. Shane not only provided outstanding customer service, he made me feel confident in the work to be done and I am now sitting in the waiting room, while my car is being fixed! I’d like to give a HUGE Thank You to Shane and I hope he gets recognized for his excellent customer service, I will be back for any future car needs!
The facility in Manchester in my opinion is 1 of the best experiences I have had in customer service!Miguel was honest, attentive and answered any questions or concerns! Its is quite often we cannot find a honest business, but here at Monro, located in Manchester has beat the odds! He made me feel like I was in good hands and took care of my Subaru Outback expertly.The team works hard and recently did my front and back brakes. A great experience coming here. My first visit was for a new muffler as mine had rusted out and became detached. Made an appointment and it was done within 2 hours or so (even with having to go to East Hartford to get the part). Then I went back again a few days later because my heat shield was loose and they patched me up in under 10 minutes. Stellar service and I’ll definitely be a customer in the future! Thank you for putting my mind at ease.
Could not have been happier with my experience at Monro Vernon. Adam and Terry are personable, but more than that they care about making sure your car is serviced correctly. They will be honest as to whether your car needs a specific service or not...which I greatly appreciated! Most other places Ive gone care more about their bottom line and not so much about mine. I always bring my cars to Monro. The manager is very nice and hospitable and he has a great crew who do a fantastic job. Last week I got my Honda Pilot for an oil change and we got talking and he told me about all the other services Monro offers so today I got my Toyota Yaris as there was a whistling noise coming from it when ever I started it. They fixed my issue and we spent another great conversation with other patrons as well as the manager!!!! great job and keep it going
Quick service and great results. I dont like to bring my truck to new places because people always try to uncharge or make the small car problems seem worse than they are. Adam was honest, professional and helpful! Ill definitely be coming here for routine car maintenance.

FILTHY SCAMERS!! My daughter called and asked for a price for a front break job. We knew she needed everything replaced. She asked if they could come down on the price quoted. They took $75 off the price and said they couldnt go any lower. This seemed more reasonable to us. They said they were busy but booked her in for 11am. It took about 3 hours before she got the call to pick up her car. So far, everything was acceptable. When she arrived they said she was lucky to get a nice discount, then he told her the total due. It was $20 higher than the original (before discount) price. He said it was due to taxes and fees. What a scam these guys are running. Lie and deceive you to get the job, then shock you with reality after the work is done. When she got home, her hands were covered in rusty grease. She got out of the car and saw the mess they left on her hood and fender. I left a picture below. I might expect this from a back-yard mechanic but not from a business trying to build a professional reputation. I was on my way to Boston a few weeks ago when my Cadillac Converter pipe disconnected on the highway, Monro was the closest place, they took my car right in. The manger tried to get the part which he couldnt but he called 6 or so places for it. So he said that they could try to weld the pipe back together and see if I can make it home. When they were done he said it held together perfectly and knock on wood and been fine since. THANK YOU Monro!!

I brought my car to Monro’s in Vernon when my check engine light came on. Jose immediately tended to our needs and was very helpful and personable. He performed a diagnostic and was very transparent about what was wrong with the car and costs to fix it! I definitely recommend this location for services!
I brought my car in to have some simple exhaust work done. I was replacing the mid pipe and one stud where it connects up to the header was stripped. I was having trouble removing the stud on jack stands, so I decided to bring it into Monroe to have them remove it. WHAT A HUGE MISTAKE!The first thing they did was take out the blow torch. This seemed logical since you have to heat these stubborn studs up. They tried for almost an hour of heating it up and trying to twist it off. After an hour the manager came up to me and told me they melted down the stud completely and that all of their mechanics currently working either do not know how or don’t have the tools to proceed. They told me it’s an easy fix from here and to bring it to someone with the correct tools.This seemed strange/concerning but reasonable. So I called up a local independently owned exhaust shop and asked them to take a look. Well when they got it on the lift and we got under to see what Monroe did my jaw dropped. They didn’t just melt the stud. They melted and warped the entire bottom half of the flange. The hole where the stud goes in was nonexistent. They completed destroyed the header flange and it costed me $600 to have the entire manifold removed and repaired. Because of how Monroe butchered the header, the flange had to be planed and a stud had to be drilled in front the back side (which can only be done by completely removing the manifold). Why couldn’t Monroe just be honest from the start in that they did not know how to fix it (even though this should be easy for any reputable exhaust shop)? Now I am out $600 because of the butchering this shop did. I will never return to Monroe for anything and I will be sure to tell everyone I know never to go to a Monroe.UPDATE: I contacted Monroe through the number given in the comment below and they agreed to reimburse ALL of the money I had to pay to repair the damage. I was honestly in disbelief when they told me this, as it is very rare now a days for a company to take responsibility. However, I got the check in the mail about two weeks later and for that I have gained a lot of respect for Monroe as a company. I went ahead and updated my review to 5 stars for their customer service and willingness to fix their mistakes.

Inexpensive and honest. This is the only garage Ive ever had that tried to save me money. Ive even had a couple times they checked something out, said it looked fine or I had more time on my brakes, and didnt charge me anything.

Dont know why the managers change so often...Also Id like to have a better viewing of watching the actual work of person changing my oil and meet him or Her!! Price has gone up and the customer service area is really thrown together!! Hot or Cold depends on season also unisex bathroom is ok ONLY if it was clean!! Be nice if theyd offer a water cooler or a coffee station as many other places do!! Needs over haul!! At least Manchester and Rockville Ct
Went in this week for tires. The manager Adam was very helpful and efficient. Service was performed as quoted without adding unnecessary items to the bill. Found out the price for oil changes which Are Cheaper than my dealership so i’ll be back for my oil changes as well!!

About a year ago were Under New Management and I went in to have my oil changed and tires rotated like Id always done at that place before. I had a coupon with me but the new owner or manager or whoever he was, had a fit and said they wouldnt do it for that price. I dont care what the coupon says, he said. So I called corporate Monroe headquarters and they sent me a letter apologizing along with a coupon that required him to honor. I never used the coupon because of his attitude and the fact that he appeared to be trying to blame the whole thing on me. So they basically lost a regular customer and I stayed away for a long time. However Im giving it a try shortly and Ill report back here and let everyone know how it wentEDIT-----> Went back November, 2017. Crabby Mgr gone. New guy much better. Theyll still try to sell u stuff u didnt come there for, but you know the drill: just tell emno thx, just the oil change please.em Good job Monro. Up my review from 1 to 4 stars.

Came in for oil change, coolant flush and fill, steering fluid, and brake fluid. Took about an hour and a half, but seemed fine. I left and made it about a block away before getting an engine warning for low coolant. Turned around and came back. The mechanic confirmed the coolant was too low even though they had supposedly just filled it. Sat there for another 45 minutes for them to put in the right amount of coolant. I have had good experiences here in the past but this time did not leave with confidence.
Went in for a regular oil change and tire rotation. I worked with the manager Adam who was friendly and knowledgeable. While I knew my brakes were getting bad I didnt know how bad they were until speaking with Adam. With winter coming I was concerned but with the holidays my time was limited. Adam put together a quote and told me he could fit me in if I had time to let him do it that day. I was greatful as time off from work is not easy to come by.The whole time the staff was courtesy and professional and tested the brakes afterwards to make sure everything road well. I am very impressed with him and his staff. Definitely worth stopping in for maintenance needs. I know I will be returning.

The two-man team + manager worked very hard to accommodate their schedule appointments as well as add-ons.
Twice the employees here withheld information about the brakes on my car and my wifes car. Both times, as a result, damage was done to our rotors through regular use, costing a combined total of about $950 to fix. Both times we were told that they had warned us, when absolutely nothing of the sort was done. Either theyre incompetent or they were hustling us to make some extra money on repairs, but either way I no longer trust them at all to keep me informed about the condition of my car. I would avoid at all costs if you want to keep your car in good shape.
