I highly recommend Vernon Kia had a not so great experience in 2017 and was worried I might get the run around when my engine failed Sept/21 but they have a whole new crew that are top notch. Matt is an excellent communicator and kept me in informed about the progress, there were no replacement engines in Canada and when my engine finally arrived in Canada and was shipped out of Toronto it arrived in Vernon Monday and Ryan in the shop had my Kia Sportage ready to go on Wednesday. It now runs great! Thanks guys!
Unfortunately, kind of, had a recall on a new engine from Kia. Was given a loaner car, promptly, from Matt in service department. He kept me in the loop with the progress of my NEW engine😁. Vernon Kia, mainly Matt in service, was very accommodating, understanding and efficient.
Matt Seigler went above and beyond what I expected. I would give these fellows a much higher rating if one were available. My Kia is 10 years old and never had a problem before so when a glitch happened I took it to another, Kia dealer who was less than honest, I finally went to Vernon and met up with Mat and Technician Nic. They were so wonderful, they went above and beyond everything I expected to find the problem and kept the costs in line. Thank you boys for exemplary service as well as with your patients. After some back and forth with one of their sales guys, Pete, I put down a fully refundable $2000 deposit on a 2021 Forte EX. Changed my mind and bought a Mazda3 instead, but then had an inordinate amount of trouble getting my deposit back. Was told by Pete that its Saturday, man, we have deals to run when asked if my refund would be processed that day. Called and left a message for the sales manager and received no call back. Monday I called and left a message for the general manager, still no call back. Tuesday I see that theyve processed the refund but still no communication from them.Avoid like the plague.
I have had problems with this dealership for a long time. Took my car for a oil change as required yesterday. Matt called me when it was finished. He told me I needed a new battery. Matt probably was just telling me what he was told. I said get me a priceand I will think about it.I picked up my car no where on my follow up does it say anything about a battery needing replaced or the cost like I asked. Matt was not there when I returned. I do not trust Vernon Kia so I took my car to two different place who would have loved to sell me a battery BUT I did not need a 366.00 battery. For me it is one thing after another.
Sales guy made a lot of promises that were not kept. Very aggressive and plushy. Disappointed in the service but love the products.

I was so impressed of the personal service of the parts person sorry I didnt get a name.Went for a small purchase of 3 wheel nuts and he went way above to find some out of a bin of bulk ones and checked them to make they were right. Then didnt charge me anything .

They swarmed me the second I drove onto their lot. One of the clowns stood right in front of my vehicle so I couldnt move. I drove around him and left. Needless to say, I did buy a brand new vehicle ...elsewhere that is. I will never step foot on their lot again.

I went in there to get my car serviced and ended up leaving with a brand new 2021 Kia Seltos. Joe and Ken were fantastic helping me purchase my new Stinger. Top notch service and delivered a very fair price on my trade in and great lease package for my purchase. The business manager was quick and didnt spend hours trying to up sell me. Who knew you could go to buy a car and not spend 8hrs in a dealership as the process slowly drags along until you break down just to get out of there.EDIT: Car is still great but dealership and service experience have gone down the tube. Booked car in to put coilovers on to lower the car a bit. Quoted 4 hrs. Drive 1hr to the dealership to drop the car off, they call me 1hr later and tell me they cant get it done in time. Drive 1hr home and another 1hr. back the next week. Drop the car off at 8am and here I sit at 3:30pm with no time when it will be ready. Service manager then tells me they have never done this before...they excel at wasting your time but thats about it. If the service department is a factor in deciding to buy a car from a dealership, run away now. Should have bought the G70 from Genesis, at least they have courtesy cars...
Not impressed with the sales tactics used here. Offered one thing to convince me to purchase the vehicle then removed the offer without telling me later on. Just make sure you read the paperwork closely before you sign anything because they have no problem lying to you to close a deal.
Not impressed . I love my Kia Sportage but the salesman Kobe had told me of course I have the extended warranty, told me I am approved through Kia financing . Deal is done and i find out there was no extended warranty. So the windshield was fixed they paid for it but still, would of been nice to know before the deposit was paid . Took days to get the manager to add the extended warranty Kobe told me I already had . Kobe is not returning messages and I received a letter stating I was not approved through Kia financing and nobody has explained to me who the financing is through despite aFew messages and calls to Kobe . This has not been an easy process nor do I feel Kobe even knows what he’s talking about ... love the Kia, won’t go back there when it’s time to upgrade ... hard no
I just drove home in my new Kia Soul and very happy with all the help I received . Dylan answered all my questions and was very patient as it was a very big step for me. Eventually I could see that he was right and had picked the best car for me. All the staff were very helpful and made me feel at ease. I would recommend Vernon Kia as the best place to buy a car in Vernon!

I would like to personally thank both Steve and Katie at Vernon Kia.I recently had a mechanical breakdown that occurred on HWY 97 last Tuesday (May 19th, 2020) on my way to work which left me completely stranded. They provided an exceptional level of service during this situation by assisting me in a calm, professional manner and providing me a courtesy car to use until the problem could be further investigated. Once the problem had been addressed it was explained to me in a very clear and open way going over all my options and time frames available. It was all a very seamless process to have my vehicle serviced and back on the road within 3 days, even with it being an emergency, they fit it into their schedule and got the job done.Excellent work and very impressed!
I recently traded in my car for a used SUV at Vernon Kia. The service, test drive, and opportunity to deal was awesome. Kobe and Corey were very helpful, kind, and fair when it came to the trade in as unforeseen circumstances made the deal less in my favour. The overall experience was great.The only negative part was when it came to getting the financing with Chelsea figured out. Chelsea herself is a very kind and easy going lady. However, I ended up spending a couple thousand (before interest) on a health plan which I will never use & documentation fees (?). I was told in the moment that in order to go through the particular bank I had to choose one of the health plans, but in following up in the next day with the bank I realized I got a bit conned as it was indeed optional. Additionally, the finance ended up being more than the original agreement (sale price), which to be fair I should have read through the deal carefully... an expensive lesson.Overall, Vernon Kia was very professional, kind and fair to deal with. They only loose 1.5 stars in my books for the financing fiscal.

Our engine blew in our Kia Sportage, apparently a common thing with the 2015 Kia Sportage. Towed it to this dealership where they had the car for 2 months, and they paid for a rental car for us for 5 days(because that seems fair?). Each time we would inquire about when we would get our car back, they would promise it within a week, but it would keep getting delayed without valid reason. Im sure you can get a nice car here, but if you need service, take the extra half hour and take it to Kelowna.
Dayton worked hard and got me a low percentage rate that I did not think was even possible for my situation. In and out of the dealership in under 4 hours! I would recommend to everyone! The warrenty is the best, so peace of mind through the whole loan is there. Thank you so much Vernon Kia!!I had an issue that made me an unhappy customer, but talking to the Manager Peter and he was able to rectify the problem to make me more than happy!

Better late than never! Back to October 7, Cory, thank you for resolving our tire problem so generously that I felt embarrassed -- in a good way!! Plus, when our Kia came out of Service, it was gleaming. All the travel mud had been washed away and with the new winter tires/rims, the vehicle was almost unrecognizable as ours. (A little note for Kobe :), do check your April files for the separate winter tires/rims sale invoice.)

Called Kelowna KIA about a warranty issue. They advised my car was no longer under warranty and even if it was they werent currently fixing warranty issue. So, called Vernon KIA for a second opinion. Not only were they kind and helpful but my issue WAS a warranty covered issue and it was taken care of right away ! Cant thank Nic and the rest of the service department enough for all the help. I went in with some pretty simple stipulations. I got an approval I told them I didnt want that. I td them what I wanted and they wouldnt even try to work with me. After a week of waiting for them to get back to me I decided to take my business somewhere else. Wouldnt reccomend. Poor service poor communication just bad experience altogether.

We purchased a used vehicle from this dealership and had a misunderstanding. We were told that the vehicle that we were looking at had a higher trim level then what it actually had while the sticker and paperwork did state the correct trim level. My wife and I went back to Kia and discussed the situation with Kevin Morata. Kevin listened to our issues and we managed to come to an agreement. Our problem was resolved in a concise and professional manner.

Tried to go here after my 2013 Sportages engine blew at about 110,000km. They were condescending and laughed in our faces when we asked about warranty (I bought mine used, warranty didnt transfer). They also denied that this has been a common problem with that specific engine for 2013. So we went to Kelowna Kia, and they managed to get my engine under goodwill warranty and totally free to me without any difficulties. Will continue to drive past this place to go to Kelowna Kia.
We werent looking for a new car we were just in for a service and Dayton approached us about getting us into lower payments and a newer car. 3 weeks later we are in a new 2018. Dionne of course worked her magic and did us even better then the original offer. We are so pleased with the service we recieved from these two. To be honest Dionne is the only one I trust to setup any purchase and gives me awesome advice everytime I am in. Dayton really listened to our issues and other comments. This is our third from Vernon Kia now and we are so stoked about every vehicle we have bought from them and the service we have recieved.Thanks again Dayton and Dionne for once again helping us.
