I have renovated three kitchens and I must say that this was the best experience I have had with a contractor. Gerry, the designer, worked with me to sketch out right plan to meet my needs and Andrew, the Project Manager, did an excellent job managing the project and keeping everything organized and on track. Although there were bumps on the road, as with any project, Andrew effectively communicated the issue, provided recommendations and kept the project moving with little delay. His contractor, Darek, was also a true craftsman with a great attention to detail, provided recommendations along the way and did a great job with the construction. He and his crew always showed up on time and cleaned up when they left. Overall, I was very impressed NJ Kitchens and Baths and would highly recommend them for any kitchen or bath renovation.

We highly recommend NJ Kitchens and Baths! We had an absolutely wonderful experience working with them. Our kitchen was a complete nightmare and they turned it into a dream. Gerry took our ideas, elevated them, and then turned it into reality. We really loved being able to see the 3D design concept. Andrew was helpful, responsive, and honest throughout the entire process. Darek completed most of the labor and he is a true craftsman with high attention to detail. We knocked down a wall, moved all the plumbing, and even had some challenging exterior brick work from filling in a window and it looks great. Our before and after photos speak for themselves! We shopped around before choosing NJ Kitchens and Baths & now that everything is finished, we’re confident we made the right choice. Everyone else made us feel as though it would be a job they would have to squeeze in or barely gave us the time of day. A few gave us price quotes that were so low we knew that we would end up with huge surprise costs at the end, or so high that we figured they just didn’t want to bother. We had no unexpected costs at the end of the project and everything ran right on time, which is essential when you’re living without a kitchen for a few weeks! We look forward to many happy years in this kitchen & I’m confident that it will stand the test of time.

We have lived in our colonial home in Morris County since 2006 and have been talking about a kitchen remodel for over a decade.Designer Gerry recognized our long thought out intentions in our home and kitchen and worked with us by making some additional suggestions to our ideas. He was patient as we made our selections and had a warm smile for us each time we met in person. He was always an email away and very clear in the pricing and timeline for our project. The scope of our project included new tile floor, cabinets and appliances.Gerry directed us to his network NJK&B friends and distributors and they all made our purchase, ordering and delivery of the kitchen elements seamless. The wait time to begin work with NJK&B seemed the perfect amount of time to allow for making our choices. Before we knew it, our job was next.Within the week prior to beginning the job, we met with Gerry and owner Andrew in our home. They also introduced us to our main contractor, Wojtec. From the start we could see that our installer Wojtec was responsible and thorough with every part of the kitchen. He takes great pride in his work. From leveling things out for a newly installed tile floor all the way up to preparing venting for the new hood for our range, Wojtec was informative and very much on track for the timeline he shared with us. When he said he would be back for X,Y and Z, he returned prepared to do the jobs. He was respectful of our home and kept his workspace in order at the end of each day.He kept in clear communication with Andrew and together their approach to anything unforeseen was creative and trustworthy. They always checked in with us if there were choices to be made. They did not put their personal agendas into the project and took the time to speak with us. They took the time. We felt like part of the team.Owner Andrew stopped by a few times to touch base with us and keep the lines of communication open. Speaking with him, we felt he clearly understood living through kitchen construction and we understood that his process involved compassion for the function of our family. We are glad we invested in the workmanship and the professionals of this group. The NJK&B team not only created a beautiful kitchen for our family, but the process and the people involved will forever be part of our family story. Thank you Wojtec, Gerry and Andrew!

We enjoyed working with Andrew at NJ Kitchens and bath to renovate a guest bathroom in our 1920‘s Tudor house. We knew we wanted to make this bathroom bigger by taking some of the sq footage from the large bedroom next to it and also a linen closet in the hall. Andrew brought in an architect to check possibility of the wall removal. He has great crews working for him to do the work. We were given a shopping list and places to go to pick out fixtures, so no extra hunting for items by us. The vanity was selected, to be custom made, at NJ Kitchens and baths. We are very pleased with our new and much improved beautiful bathroom and appreciated working with Andrew, the owner, on every detail and we would surely use them again if we have future projects. We are so pleased with the new bathroom that we are starting our next project with NJ Kitchens and Baths to renovate the guest bathroom in the coming weeks. I knew nothing about kitchen cabinets and went with a business recommended by a friend. My architect reviewed the draft layout and warned me that the layout contained many errors with measurements, etc. I went to see Gerry at NJ Kitchen and Baths and he confirmed this and provided a new layout that was beautiful and accurate. I was very happy that I switched to NJ Kitchen and Baths. The process was a lot easier, much less time to finalize details and place my order. Gerry answered all of my questions and guided me through any areas that I was unsure about. Communication was great and Gerry was awesome! Thank you so much.

NJ Kitchens and Baths recently renovated our kitchen. They did an amazing job. I cant say enough about this company and their staff. We are thrilled with the results of our new kitchen. From the outset of the design phase with Gerry to working with Andrew, Derek and his team on the implementation/renovation, the staff are the utmost professionals and they perform quality work. Gerry made great suggestions that I did not think possible in terms of an island in our kitchen that worked out perfectly. Andrew organized his team around Derek and others who worked efficiently to get the kitchen completed with a relatively quick turnaround and Andrew even addressed a minor issue we had with the granite company quickly. Lastly, we had one additional hiccup in the process with a side entry door from our kitchen to our outside deck. The issue was not with NJ Kitchens and Bath- rather it was with Pella and their factory that shut down so the door was delivered post completion of the kitchen. We finally received the door around Labor Day and are about to host family for my sons communion/birthday. NJ Kitchens and baths stopped what they were doing and rushed to our house to install the door for us so we can enjoy the final piece of renovation prior to our party. I strongly recommend this company for renovations and would not hesitate to hire them again for future work on our house.

Caribbean woman married to an Italian man... approximately two weeks ago we walked into the showroom in Verona ... the salesman did not acknowledge me, say anything to me, include me in any discussions about the work we were inquiring about, no eye contact, did not ask me what I thought, did not say hello or goodbye to me upon us walking in or out. The irony of it all is that it I was the one funding that whole project... my husband was paying for the wood floors and the appliances. I was covering the kitchen . Now I don’t know the underlying reason behind that, so many speculations ran though our minds but the bottom line is as a business person, it would behoove you to include any and all parties that walk into your establishment. I almost wanted to jump in and take over the conversation just to see what the salesman would say because due to my husband’s diligence and research on EVERYTHING, he has shared, shown and taught me a lot to the point where I would feel confident in holding my own but I left it alone. Sometimes there’s a reason why one door is closed to allow another one to open where you will find just what you need someplace else and that’s EXACTLY what happened.

Andrew and his team just finished renovating my kitchen in the condo I bought this past summer. After months of searching for a company that understood from the beginning that I work overnight and sometimes need a sonic boom to get me out of bed during the day was just as difficult as finding a company I was comfortable letting inside my home that I could trust. I found that and more in Andrews team. They were punctual, understanding, respectful of my home and my pets, and were so easy to work with, responsive to every question I had and really went the extra mile - or in my case they went the extra 5 miles. I appreciate all theyve done, and Im so so happy with the end result. It wasnt always easy, but the few small snags were met with professionalism and positivity.I highly recommend this company and I will use them again if the opportunity arrises.

Our family had debated for two years whether or not to renovate our kitchen in our house that was built in 1876. Many people we had talked to that had done an expensive renovation, which typically involves kitchens and bathrooms, had bad experiences with their contractors. Either the project went over budget, the work was not done well and had to be redone or the contractor had started the project and then disappeared to another project pushing to completion date out quite far beyond the promised date. Naturally we were nervous. We started looking nervously for contractors to quote us and NJ Kitchen and Baths stood out to us in particular. We met John at our first meeting and had a really great feeling about him. The thing that surprised us about him and sold us on doing the project with him and NJ Kitchens and Baths was John’s attention to detail. He really listened to what our needs, wants and challenges were in our space and took the time to think out carefully how to address each of these issues to make the space the very best it could be and to make us happy with the end product. For those that live in an old house that was not designed for today’s lifestyle you will appreciate the efforts and time spent to maximize our space. The design and execution of the project far exceeded our expectations. John designed a kitchen that is not only beautiful to be in but also most importantly completely functional and organized for a family that typically cooks at least three times a day.John sold us on the job and Andrew who is the contractor and owner of the business has sold us on renovating. From the very beginning Andrew addressed and erased any of our fears about hidden costs, poor work completed or unrealistic completion dates. From the beginning to the end our family can state with full honesty and confidence that once we met Andrew and he took over we really felt well taken care of. Andrew’s strengths that we have come to truly appreciate and advocate for when recommending him to other people is that treating well with honesty and integrity is something means a lot to him. Its important to him that the job is done well without short cuts and that all the information that the client needs to know is communicated upfront and honestly so there are no surprises. This is not just reflected in how we runs the job but also in the people that he employs to complete the work for him.Everyone we met and worked with whether they were plumbers, electricians, or craftsmen were stand up honest people who were pleasant, worked hard, and took pride in their work which was refreshing for a change. They were very good to us and in return we tried to be good to them. Renovating and investing large amounts of money into your home is not as easy as the HGTV shows make it look. It can be stressful and Andrew really cares about building a trusting relationship to eliminate the stress. Whatever comes up he addresses professionally and always advocates for his clients which was so unexpected and appreciated. When we did our final walk through of our kitchen Andrew was the person who picked everything apart with a fine tooth comb to make sure it was well and right. For the record his standards were higher then ours! After being hesitant and afraid to renovate the kitchen we can say now with confidence that we would happily renovate again because we know that no matter what work we need or want to have done Andrew and his guys will deliver. He will make sure the work gets done to the best it can and take the time to really listen to what you want. If you’re on the fence about whether or not to renovate because of fear of being taken advantage of you can stop worrying. Call them and get started. It was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made and well worth the money to hire someone trustworthy that could and did deliver beyond our expectations

NJ Kitchens & Baths did an amazing job on our basement bathroom! I couldn’t agree more with the all the excellent reviews that they receive, as the bathroom looks absolutely stunning. Andrew and the crew were completely professional throughout the whole process, and the entire project was finished within a reasonable time frame. In addition, they were very open to other ideas that we had for finishing the basement and improving the general layout. Andrew kept us fully informed about the progress, and always responded promptly to our questions. These guys were great. We got bids from a number of contractors to renovate the first floor of our 100+ year old home including a new kitchen, move some walls, add a bath and replace our hardwood flooring. While they came in higher than most, their professionalism and experience gave us confidence that they could handle a job this big. When we met John and Andrew really listed and then asked loads of good questions to get at what we wanted to achieve with this renovation. They provided detailed renderings of a number of options and then we further refined the plan, repeat. This allowed us to get at our needs for this work while they guided us to what was both feasible and within our budget.Once the work started it went fast. Despite hitting a few unexpected bumps in the project, the job was finished within a week or so of the target date. As with most big jobs, some issued arise afterward, and they have very responsive to quickly and efficiently address them. We are extremely pleased with our renovated first floor.Lastly, they were a pleasure to work with and genuinely seemed concerned that we were satisfied every step of the way. Andrew, Darek and team did a great job with our recent kitchen remodel.  I planned my kitchen for over a year, outlining kitchen designs in excel spreadsheets, and purchased appliances and tiles even before choosing the  general contractor.  After speaking with multiple companies, we ultimately chose to go with NJ Kitchens and Baths based on their excellent references, flexibility with the date of the project, and ability to work within our budget.  Our project was a complete remodel of the kitchen which included repiping of all plumbing and gas lines, rearranging appliances, opening a wall, editing a window, rerouting the baseboard heater, and ducting a rangehood.  Right before the start of the project, we found out our 2nd floor bathroom plumbing was clogged, and NJ Kitchens and Baths was able to add it to the list of changes, including adding a whole house filtration, upgrading our electrical panel, and adding a herringbone backsplash.  I was originally nervous because I was only able to visit the house twice a week during the remodel, but Andrew kept us updated on the progress, and he was very patient and responded quickly to all my questions and requests throughout.  During the walkthrough, Andrew not only listened and fixed any issues I found, but he did his due diligence and pointed out some flaws and ensured they were all dealt with before accepting the project as completed.  Id highly recommend the services of NJ Kitchens and Baths; our kitchen looks like something from a magazine, is substantially more functional, and doing dishes is less of a chore when I get to see nature out of our new picture window.

NJ Kitchens & Baths was an overall very good home improvement experience for us. From the beginning to the end, the various phases of renovation all proved to be very favorable to us.They first picked up the ceramic floor, which we no longer wanted, and had them install a new original wood floor, which turned out to be very beautiful. They found some construction errors in the original house, and thus they made significant improvements involving support columns and beams. They recommended a highly skilled and very acceptable cabinet maker contractor. They added some highly efficient new windows also in the process, and completed the job with a very neat paint application to all rooms involved. They started doing just the kitchen, but we became so enthralled by their work, that we ended up having them do much more of the house.Their work was very neat, they cleaned up nightly. Anything we asked them to do, they did. In the end, an overall excellent job that we were very pleased with, and a contractor I would not hesitate to recommend to others.

We read most of the reviews at various sites and honestly, they sounded almost too good to be true. We had to check out NJ Kitchens and Baths. It was a great decision. Dealing with Andrew was a pleasure. We found him to be honest, transparent and fair. He showed up on time and always responded to our phone calls and emails. On the rare occasions that he was delayed, we received a phone call. There is nothing more frustrating than contractors who are unresponsive. There was none of that.We did a bathroom renovation in late summer of 2017. We were told to expect some surprises after the room was gutted as it is an older house that had prior, poor-quality renovations. There were some significant obstacles, but they were handled quickly and reasonably. The finished product was beyond our expectations. His workers and sub-contractors were pleasant, professional and highly skilled. They left the jobsite neat at the end of each day. The job went smoothly and was completed on time despite several obstacles. Each of the inspectors not only passed the inspections, but also commented on the high quality of the work. That is very good to hear. The list of references we received prior to signing was impressive; there were 76 references from 2011-2016. That is a testament to the consistent quality of work that we also experienced. We will be adding our names to the list.We are currently in the middle of a kitchen/dining room renovation. They installed new plumbing, wiring, cement wall, dry wall, fixtures, doors and paint--the whole shebang down to the studs. It looks great. Before the installations, Andrew and I discussed layout and fixtures. He told me to get whatever I wanted and he would install it. He made initial design suggestions and then we worked these with my own ideas. I got a couple of new ideas as the work went along and he incorporated those.Andrew started the work when he said that he would and he completed it in the time that he said he would. He and his crew were professional and courteous, answering all questions that my wife and I put to them. His crew didnt even raise dust in the house outside the bathroom. He arranged for the township electrical, plumbing and building inspections.About 10 months after the work was finished, I noticed some hairline cracks in the grout at the base of the tub. We used NJ Kitchens and Baths to renovate our master bathroom in August of 2013 and had such a positive experience with them that we knew we would work with them again to redo our second floor hall bathroom. Its been great working with Andrew and his staff, they are very responsive to questions or concerns and are very knowledgeable and provide helpful recommendations. In the early planning phase Andrew came out to look at the space and gave us some guidance on what materials we would need and some ideas for how we could improve the space. During the renovation Andrew personally checked in several times to make sure things were going smoothly. The crew on site was very clean and courteous, and checked in with us regularly to make sure they were getting all the details right. Both bathrooms weve worked on with NJ Kitchens and Bath have turned out beautifully, we are so happy with them. When we are ready to renovate our kitchen we know we will be calling Andrew again.

Kitchen & two baths - Gut RenovationWe are extremely happy about the final results working with NJ Kitchens and Baths. Everything looks great and works just as its supposed too.Key things to note about working with them:> Starting with the design process, critical before you even begin the job, was an excellent experience. They offer total design services via a very experienced designer who is the equivalent to an architect saving us a lot of money in the process. He also offered us out of the box thinking on how to do the jobs in ways we hadnt even thought about and you think you know what you want but the reality is you really dont and need to be listening to his suggestions and the rational around them. That said, he wasnt overly aggressive about his ideas being the best, just alternatives, and was responsive to our feedback. Again, this will be worth a lot to you as a home owner and the job hasnt even started.Others provided this service but not to the level of detail or sensitivity to our asks in the process. Wasnt even close. Lastly Id add having used architects in the past on other jobs weve done, their offering was right up there in value add. An architect on these types of jobs can cost you a lot of zeros$.> The job started on time and finished close to the final deadline, with some changes & adds along the line. The GC is sensitive to your asks, understands that things can change in the process and is transparent about what they can and/or cant do, and will offer suggestions and alternative ideas on how to do things when they come up, and if will cost you more $s & how much. The crew was sensitive to our needs as we were living in the home during the process with small children & dogs as well. All in all - a solid experience, the price in line with our expectations...would highly recommend them. While the design process went quick and easy, that was the only part that went well. The day before the project was scheduled to start, I was informed about a one week delay since they did not properly submit the permits until after we were supposed to start. Throughout the project, we have had failed inspections, countless delays, and just a complete lack of professionalism and follow through. At one point, I spent over 6 weeks trying to contact Gerry with NJ Kitchens and Baths prior to the start of our project after they took my deposit and not a single one of my messages was returned. This is leading to delays since I ended up having to order additional supplies that they were supposed to originally be responsible for. Selecting NJ Kitchens and Baths has been a huge disappointment and I can only recommend that you go to any of the other highly recommended contractors in the area. There are lots of options and any of them will be better than what has been a completely horrible experience that will only be getting worse.

We used NJ Kitchens and Baths for a complete renovation of the master bathroom in our 90-year-old home (including all new plumbing and electrical, as well as a new floorplan, new fixtures, etc) and could not be more pleased with the process and the outcome. Everyone we encountered through NJ Kitchens and Baths was incredibly knowledgeable, extremely helpful, and very patient with our numerous questions. Sharon was a terrific project manager, making sure everything stayed on track, and Darek and his crew were not only highly skilled but also friendly and courteous, taking exceeding care to minimize disruptions to the rest of the house. Andrew, the owner, actually stopped by several times to make sure we were satisfied with how things were progressing. We would recommend NJ Kitchens and Baths without hesitation and will definitely be calling them again as future projects arise.

I cannot recommend a better contractor. Andrew (the owner) is professional and honest. You dont find that often! He was thorough in his inspection of the problem, gave his opinion as well as other options as far as solutions to fit our needs and budget, and backs up his work. He stays on budget. We have used NJ Kitchens and Baths on several occasions and recommend them to anyone who needs work done. They have even built our large Trex deck, did our kitchen backsplash, added lighting to our kitchen, repaired our tile floors, painted our bathrooms, and refurbished our front porch! They are our go-to guys for any job. They are punctual and do amazing work and clean-up after themselves. You can trust these men to do the best job possible at the fairest price. Both Carlos and Als teams are knowledgable and true masters of their trades. On this particular job, the shower looks great, the leak is no more and you would never know that part of our ceiling and wall had to be replaced. The guys were so careful to protect the rest of the dining room (carpet and furniture). We are truly pleased.

Overall were very satisfied with the final product and Andrews foreman Al was awesome - super knowledgeable, offered good design advice with a practical bent, worked weekends to hit deadlines, made sure work was done right and was responsive.Andrew we saw maybe a handful of times throughout the job, which I guess is normal for a GC? He was friendly and we had no issues working with him, but we felt his involvement was limited because he had a lot of other jobs going at the same time and was spread too thin. We were on a very tight timeline due to the impending birth of a child, and the project did not hit the originally agreed-upon date due to various delays, not all of which were under Andrews control. I believe Al did what he could in good faith to complete the project on time.Andrews price and general business processes were fair and transparent throughout, as all change orders were documented and there were no misunderstandings about price or scope. As this was our first major renovation, were glad to have used a GC like Andrew to bring all of the correct trades together and handle the permitting, as well as getting decent discounts with the materials providers (though we found much better prices shopping online than at Ferguson, albeit with more legwork required on our part).

We were very satisfied in their thorough job! We would definitely recommend hiring them for your bathroom renovation! They do the right thing, work with you on every design choice, and want to ensure your 100% satisfaction. We hired NJ Kitchens & Baths to do an 8x6 upstairs master bathroom gut renovation. On the surface, it seemed to be a standard gut job but we warned John and Andrew that we thought it could be more involved. John drew up a stunning sketch of exactly the modern bathroom we envisioned.During demo day, everyone realized that this was not a standard job. Our beams had stress fractures due to an improper bathroom renovation done more than 30 years ago! The floor was sagging and pulling our guest closet down with it! They did not panic. Leo took down our kitchen ceiling (while perfectly protecting our brand new kitchen hardwood plank floors in the process) and reinforced our beams, Travisano plumbing replaced our toilet line back to the stack along with all other piping and fixtures, and Leo put our kitchen ceiling back again; even redesigning our kitchen lighting. They then rebuilt the bathroom floor from scratch ensuring it was level and the closet was also sound, and built a modern bathroom with subway tile, seaglass, and an alcove with thassos stone ledge. They installed our ceramic plank floors, fan, lighting accessories, and electric, all plumbing and vanity/mirror, and installed crown molding. They even worked around and helped optimize our steam heater that was in the bathroom! We did have a manufacturers defect on our faucet and the plumber came to fix it within 24 hours 2 months after the job was done!

We did a gut renovation of our kitchen in March/April 2014. We interviewed and collected bids from 3 different contractors specializing in kitchens & baths. We met with both John and Andrew of NJ Kitchens & Baths a few times in person before deciding to go with them. John (the designer) and Andrew (the GC) seemed knowledgeable and professional in their respective areas of expertise. Neither of the other two contractors we spoke with measured our kitchen correctly; one of them presented us with a design layout that was physically impossible based on the placement if existing doors & windows (which we had no intention of moving). The kitchen project took about 7 weeks to complete (original timeline called for 6 weeks). It started about a week after originally scheduled due to extreme winter weather which was understandable. Overall, we spent about $60,000, which was about $10,000 more than anticipated due to severe termite damage in the framing, all of which had to be ripped out and replaced (this also accounts for the extra week). This was unforeseen as it was all hidden behind the walls and unfortunately the downside of living in an 80+yr old home. The preferred vendors we worked with included MBA Cabinetry, Standard Tile, and Marvic. Our project manager, Carlos, and one of his workers, Javier, worked hard and spent a couple of Saturdays working at the house to keep things moving along so that the subcontractors and inspections could go as planned without having to be rescheduled. They were good about cleaning up their work areas at the end of the day. Carlos and Andrew had good communication between the two of them though on some things it seemed it could be better, not sure if this was due to difference of opinion. For example, the timing of when the appliances would be hooked up was scheduled before certain other things on Andrew’s timeline, but Carlos had them hooked up after, which he felt was better for avoiding damage based on his past experiences. Regular communication between Andrew, John and my husband and me was maintained throughout the course of the project. Andrew used a shared Google calendar which mapped out all of the stages of the project and which days they were scheduled to occur. This made it easy to plan when one of us needed to be at the house, or if we needed to keep our dog out of the house due to noise, dust, etc.Overall, considering the scope of the work, our remodel experience was about as pleasant as it could be. We had heard many horror stories about kitchen remodels so we were apprehensive going into it, but luckily we don’t really have any horror stories other than finding the termite damage, which obviously was not the fault of the contractor. We enjoyed working with Andrew, Carlos and the rest of their team. They were good about keeping the project moving along as we were expecting a baby in early May and wanted everything completed before he was born. We have recommended them to our friends & colleagues who are looking to do similar work.

4.5 STARS (I wanted to rate them at 4.5 stars, but the site will only allow 4 or 5 so I rounded up since we had a pretty good experience). We worked with NJ Kitchens and Baths to renovate our kitchen and convert our garage back into a functioning garage (which the previous owners had turned into an office). Overall, we had a great experience with Andrew and NJ Kitchens and Baths. Before I get into the review, a couple notes about us: 1) this is our 3rd renovation (so we aren’t new to this) and 2) my wife and I are pretty detail-oriented and we generally have high expectations of our contractors.High level review:The experience with Andrew was very good from start to finish. Andrew is very organized and kept very good documentation throughout the project on what we agreed to and how we wanted the work finished. Although Andrew wasn’t onsite every day, he came by the house often to check on the status of the kitchen and answer any questions we had. From a cost perspective, we agreed on a cost up front and Andrew kept within that budget and didn’t nickel and dime us for any changes to the scope of work. The crew who did our kitchen was led by Darek, and they did a great job. Andrew does have a couple of preferred suppliers he works with for things like cabinetry, plumbing fixtures, tile, countertops, etc. We didn’t use all of his preferred vendors (which he was fine with) and with the exception of the countertop supplier, all of his preferred suppliers worked well for us. What is important to note is that when we did have an issue with the countertop, since it was one of the preferred suppliers he recommended to us, Andrew handled all of the back and forth with the supplier and went the extra mile to make things right (even when the supplier refused to fix the issue). Overall, it was a very good experience and I would highly recommend Andrew and NJ Kitchens and Baths to anyone doing a renovation. More details on pro’s and con’s below.Pro’s:- Andrew created a detailed schedule prior to start of renovation so we knew exactly when activities would start and end (e.g demo, electrical, plumbing). This was great and help us plan on our end.- Kept hardwood floors protected and cleaned up everyday- Compared to other contractors we have worked with, Andrew has a high attention to detail and holds his crew accountable for a high quality work product. For example, when we noticed some things which didn’t look right, we didn’t have to argue with Andrew and try to convince him to fix them. He saw what our concerns were and fixed them without giving us a hard time.- Great carpentry skills - built a custom stair tread for us that was flush with the new tile floor (at no extra charge)- Sticks to budget and doesn’t nickel and dime you - all the work that was originally in the contract was completed at the costs we agreed to. They went even further and did extra work without charging us for it (moving pot lights to center them after cabinetry was installed, installing new door casings that were not originally in scope, coming back later to install panels that were delayed due to cabinet manufacturers error, etc.)- When we had design issues come up during the install (nothing that they were responsible for), Andrew was great in providing design input to make sure we were able to achieve the look we were going for.Con’s:-At the beginning, we were a week or two ahead of schedule. As the project neared completion we fell behind a bit and ultimately finished ~2 weeks behind schedule. Part of this was due to reasons outside of their control, and ultimately we preferred having the kitchen be exactly how we wanted it and little late, instead of a rush job to finish on time.-The only quality issues we had were related to tiling. Ultimately Andrew had the crew addressed the issues and everything came out great, but some of this rework caused the project delays referenced above.

We used NJ Kitchens and Baths to renovate a hall bathroom and completely remodel our master bathroom in the summer/fall of 2014. Andrew and his team worked through multiple design changes we made for the master bathroom project after construction had begun. We were extremely pleased with the final product and workmanship. Andrew and his team were professional, courteous, and maintained a clean work area. Andrew helped us with issues we encountered with some of our suppliers during the project, which required Andrew to make extra efforts to resolve these issues. This included chasing after the supplier almost a year after our project was complete to replace a flawed shower door. Andrew got the shower door replaced and installed at no cost to us. We would definitely recommend NJ Kitchens and Baths.

When my wife and I decided to buy a new home we new we wanted a master bathroom. Unfortunately the home we fell in love with did not have one so we decide to build one.I contacted a few different builders initially and spent a good amount of time meeting with them. New Jersey Kitchens and Baths were one of them. I met with John who right from the beginning was very knowledgeable about all aspects of the job unlike many of the other reputable builders. He explained every step of the process and made me feel very comfortable about everything. His quote was right on par with what we wanted to spend and close to many other quotes we received. We decide to go with NJKB, and at the point Andrew the owner came to our home with John and laid out all the details and timelines of the project. They explained everything that would be done and when, and expected to stick to the plan, which they did. Our bathroom was not pre existing and our home is from 1937 so that added to the difficulty of the job. The job went very smoothly even though my wife and I decided not to use some of their preferred vendors, which in the end did not work out very well for us. Both of the non preferred vendors we chose ended up having problems and John and Andrew worked with us to solve the issues quickly. The honesty and transparency of NJKB is outstanding and refreshing. The bath was built within the time frame with very little cost overages which were only due to some structural issues pre existing in our home. The quality of the work is outstanding. Carlos, the crew leader is amazing. His work is perfect, and he keeps you in the loop the entire time making sure every single aspect of the job is exactly how you want it to be. He takes no shortcuts and really is just as honest and caring as Andrew and John. He takes pride in his work and makes sure it is perfect. He is a true artist when it comes to laying tile and doing all the carpentry. We ended up with the bathroom of our dreams and I cannot thank NJKB enough. I wouldnt have wanted anything to go differently. I would recommend NJKB to anyone looking for a bathroom remodel or addition. I thank Andrew, John, and Carlos for doing exactly what they said they would do, within the time frame they said they would do it.
