I live in SC and spoke to Barbara at Publix Catering Dept to order a flower delivery for my Sister in Birmingham. Barbara was so very helpful. Delivery was on time Sunday morning and my Sister couldnt have been more pleased with the Vase Ready Bouquet.She sent me a picture and it looked exactly like the Bouquet in the Columbia SC Plublix. Such a variety of flowers & colors & so full !!! All gift giving has been solved.

Publix never disappoints! Everyone is nice and willing to help. They don’t just tell you what aisle a product is on…. They take you to it! While I like CVS I can tell you I LOVE Publix pharmacy! Fast, friendly and knowledgeable. Publix does it right. BTW their soups are great an some of the best fried chicken you can find.

Publix is a very good place to shop. Staff is always very Kind and Helpful and Helpful assistance for Handicapped getting things in their cars & have the Scotter available if needed!

Lackadaisical with BOGO signage and stock. Much of what they had signage on was not restocked and much of what did, was out of stock. I can understand the stock issue if they had been busy, but it was early to mid afternoon on a... Monday? Definitely wasnt Wednesday or a weekend. Just an FYI- take your cellphone and app or flyer with you or youll miss alot of sale items. Hence the 3 star review.

He doesn’t tell me where they are; he takes me!!! Awesome service! That’s why I shop at Publix!This is the place to order cakes for birthdays, graduations, even pet’s birthdays, or any other time you need a cake. I have ordered cakes from this bakery for many years now. My grandson‘s birthday cake always is prepared by this bakery and even my cat Kricket had her first birthday cake made by these artistic ladies. Olga is my go-to person that always helps me design the cake that I need for a special occasion. The bakery also gives free cookies to children when they come in; but they must be accompanied by an adult. This is because some children have food allergies, so they have to have an adult with them to get a free cookie.I visited my favorite Publix today to get the ingredients for homemade vegetable soup! The employee named Rogers, in the meat department, cut the boneless chuck the exact size I needed and helped me pick out the soup bones to complete my Daddy’s recipe!I love this place. I had to return some cat litter that weighed 25 pounds and Justin, one of the managers, offered to come out to my car and get it out of my trunk . Then he proceeded to give me a gift card for the amount of the litter, so I could do my shopping. Its the little things like this that keep me coming back. The customer service is exceptional!

This Publix did my wedding cake for my wedding at Vulcan Park. They were incredibly responsive via email, and while we couldnt have a proper tasting in the building due to COVID, they made us mini cakes to take home to get a better idea of what we wanted.We ordered the Sweetheart Sensation wedding cake, with vanilla cake and chocolate pudding filling, and it came out absolutely gorgeous. It looked just like the pictures!They delivered on time, the cake tasted incredible, and after I thanked the bakery team they said theyd keep a copy of my cake on file if we wanted to order a small one for our anniversary next year! Truly wonderful people to work with.

Throughout this whole pandemic, the local Publix in Vestavia Hills has remained unscathed in regards to the employees and their positive attitudes, exceptional customer service and overall perseverance to help support/serve the community as essential workers. We are very thankful for the friendliness, cleaning the carts for the patrons, and all the little things that not every other company did or has done. Great job Vestavia Publix! Whoop whoop!

This store has really gone downhill in the last 4-5 years, and with the loss of competition from Western Supermarkets, the speed of decline has increased. I frequently find stale-dated products on the shelves, several times more than a month past their sell-by date. When repeatedly brought to the attention of managers, their response is underwhelming (“Okay,” said one). Publix seems unable to figure out whether to be a premium supermarket and delicatessen, or a discount store, forcing cashiers to tell me how much I “saved” by spending $100 on groceries; that’s insulting. Store brands are crowding out selections of superior brands and breadth of products. It seems they’re about to introduce self-service checkouts presumably in response to Walmart, but if I wanted to self-checkout, then I’d go to Walmart. All that said, the non-management employees somehow manage to keep a really good attitude.

Terrible! There were no express lines open and the three check outs that were open had long lines. Why should I wait so long to play for seven items. I just walked out and wont be back.

The employees are not as friendly as the staff at the other Publix I frequent.

Absolutely, Love Publix! Wish we had one in Jasper! Deli makes the best subs ever! Their fresh baked bread makes all the difference in the world! Love the crunch of the crust instead of the steamed, soggy taste from other places...you know who you are, lol.

Publix is my favorite grocery store. Everyone from the cashiers to store manager are very nice and always helpful. They always ask did you find everything you needed. If there is a product that you want...they go beyond the call to get it for you. If Im in a blah mood when I go in I come out with a smile on my face. With their buy one get one free you cant possibly say any other store is cheaper not even Walmart. They have a better selection than any other store and their prices are the same or cheaper.

This is one of the worst Publixes to shop at, especially in the Vestavia/Hoover area. Employees dont seem to care. Baggers got my bags and orders mixed up. A complete headache.

I just called the bakery to order a cake for my sons 10th birthday tomorrow an I truly cannot thank the young lady that helped me enough. She was so patient and gave me all of the information I needed over the phone! It was like I was there picking the cake myself. I told her to pick which ever one she felt would do because I completely trust her opinion and know that it will be the best! Amazing customer service!

I am terribly late in writing my review! I stopped by to get flowers for a very kind woman at the reception desk of Lakeshore Hospital and met the most wonderful woman, Keyon Polk, in Floral. Valentines Day had wiped her out of larger vases, and none had come in yet. She tried her best to help me, but everything was way too small for what I wanted. I came back the next day with my vase, picked 4 bouquets of flowers, and she arranged them beautifully! She did this while she was working on a large order of corsages for a Daddy/Daughter dance. She is one of those people who is very genuine, with a wonderful, outgoing personality who makes you feel special, because to her, you are! I cant even tell you how many people stopped by just to say Hi to her, because she is THAT SPECIAL. Some of the staff could learn about customer service from her, and its just so natural, so organic you know shes real. This is who she is! The store could use a dozen more associates like Keyon! I live in Hoover and that location is good, but when I need flowers, I will come straight to Vestavia because of her. I felt honored and very happy that I met this woman. She embodies the values of Publix and all that is good about people. I hope that the store manager and even corporate will recognize her and her work ethics. She is a VERY valuable part of the store. I love my Publix! Clean, stocked, and always super friendly; Publix is a good example of how to run a business while maintaining a high level of customer service. Now if they could just get Piggy Wigglys recipe for fried chicken....

Have had more than 1 unpleasant experience at this location. Tonight was the last chance. We went to the deli to get a sandwich at 9:25, a good 35 minutes before they close and they said they had put all the toppings away and they refused to make a sandwich. I understand if we went in 5-15 minutes before closing, but this was over half a hour left to be open.

My favorite location by far! I have gotten my prescriptions filled here for years and you cannot beat the customer service in the pharmacy! I live in Pelham but get my prescriptions from here because of that. Jeannie, Amanda and Kiera are the sweetest ladies in the world and are always so knowledgeable and helpful. On the very rare occasion (maybe twice in the 10 years I have been going there) they dont have something in stock they make sure its there and filled the next day. The store is always well stocked and immaculate.

They had the Nespresso compatible single serve cups I was looking for, when no one else seemed to carry them. I guess I have to give them good marks for that.

My grocery store by choice. Deals and comparative prices vary from other grocery store chains. Consistent quality and customer service. Clean, well organized stores. Its everything I want in a grocery store.

Publix doesnt care about customers. Special ordered something from the bakery and when I went to pick it up, they hadnt made it. No excuse, they just didnt make it. These people are pitiful. Apparently no management and the employees dont care. Going back to shopping at Walmart where the prices are anywhere from 15% to 100% on some items.

This Publixs store has been designed to offer a multitude of products in a manner that makes customers hunt for their preferred brands. Unfortunately, items are not easily accessible for handicapped customers. Employees are not readily accessible for assistance. Hard to find handicapped van parking spaces, which does not make this a preferred store for me.

The Managers were Awesome here at this location. But however, most of the stockers aren’t helpful and there was a guy by the name of Brian working the register and had very poor customer service. As he was scanning and bagging my items he acted as if he was upset about something. My bags were full of holes due to him just throwing the items in the paper sack. And throwing the items as he scan them. This was a very bad experience. Then as I was walking out the door due to him not sacking an item; instead of handing it to me, he thrown it which was so embarrassing, and I felt as though he was very prejudice. Guy needs proper training. Or else I will no longer recommend my family, friends, nor co workers to go to this location.

I have always had good experiences shopping at this publix. Only the meat dept employees are rude, act too good to answer a question. Everyone else has always been very helpful. I do have to say, some of the baggers ask for tips, I dont want or need their help but when they insist (just for tips), I let them just so I can see their face when I dont have a tip. I would gladly give them a tip if I needed their help, and they did not put pressure on me. Learn to use tact. Overall I love my Publix..

Dont go here if youve recently moved to the state. The cashier, Stephanie decided to deny selling a bottle of wine to because my Georgia drivers license looked fake to her. She said this loudly where all could hear. My licens2 is not fake its just not from Alabama. I asked her to please scan it or ask for my listed address and she said its up to each cashier if they feel comfortable or not to sell it to someone. Her manager wouldnt even make eye contact eith me much less speak to meAbsolutely ridiculous. Very poor customer service. Thats usually why I come to Publix for the excellent customer service. Not to mention I was here with my sick kid trying to get a prescription and groceries so I could head home and take care of her. Made an already bad day even worse.
