Horrible taste, overpriced piece of bread! My kids birthday party cake did not come out like the picture and wedding cake flavor and quality was horrible!! Both the cakes tasted too sweet, quality was not good and didnt look appealing. HEB makes way better cakes, go to HEB instead of paying for this overpriced garbage.

I finally found my dream cinnamon roll. Sooo good! I love raisins in mine, and they added apples as well. Great prices too.

Reminiscent of the time we drove from Corpus Christi to Victoria to get Halepaska’s thumb prints for my Tia’s birthday.Definitely worth the trip.Also order in advance and if you need 4 dozen you should probably get 6 dozen to be sure.

Halapaskas Old Bakery...was good. Been awhile to eat thumbprints. Oldie but Goodie. Very sweet. Thank goodness I dont live in Victoria.

They bought the Halepaskas Bakery. I wouldve given 5 stars, but the cake just doesnt taste the same (& they dont make baklava). Its missing something that made the Halepaskas cakes sweeter. The cake was moist and tasted good, but thats the only reason I cant give 5 stars. The service is good and they went above and beyond on the cupcakes. They replaced the 6 blue ones when the frosting slid and melted into each other. Kudos for their quick replacement. As for the design of the cake, they were able to do it from a picture I supplied, so they do have go artists working for them. They were able to use minimal fondant, since its not something the kiddos care to eat. My grandson LOVED his baby shark cake of daddy shark! (In case you are wondering, the cupcake tower & picks were ordered on Amazon.) I have tried some of their other products, and what I tried had been like before. The ones Ive tried have been sprinkle cookies and fudge brownies. Give them a try.

My daughters wedding cake was absolutely perfect! It was delicious and beautifully decorated with the roses we provided. The staff did a wonderful job! I will definitely be calling on Sweet Fountainz again if I have another daughter getting married. 😉

Im not from Victoria but apparently this was a really famous bakery back in the day until it was rebranded under a different name. They offer a variety of baked goods, as well as breakfast and lunch items. Everything Ive gotten has been wonderful every time but the sugar free oatmeal balls and the small cookies covered in powdered sugar (forgot the name) are my favorites. Its usually busy but the people helping behind the counter are super fast and very friendly. Definitely a must go place.

First time back since before the pandemic started. Got nervous when I saw the name had changed, but nerves were quickly relieved when I went inside and everything looked as it did before. Wouldve given it 5 stars, but they packed the cookies in a bag instead of a box and I ended up with most being crushed into crumbs before we hit our destination. SUPER DISAPPOINTING! crumbs were delicious though....

Was not impressed, ordered simple sandwich (BLT), and they forgot to put tomatoes and lettuce and mayo on it. Then when we went to eat our eclairs/long John it tasted day old. The bread was hard, we couldnt bite it we had to pull it apart the custard was not mixed well there was solid parts in it. Their tea is delicious and their Mexican wedding cookies are very good and my grandson loved his grilled cheese.

Always really delicious desserts!! And a wide variety of deserts, and they also have a lunch menu. The chocolate cupcakes are amazing, as well as the pineapple cakes, and date bars! The lemon cupcakes and petit fours are tasty too. I used to always get birthday cakes from here and the desserts are still great.New look and name as shown!! A bit more pink (not my favorite color but whatever) it still looks neat. It’s still strange not seeing it as Halepaskas.Costs are fairly affordable for a bakery, too. Located off of John Stockbauer on the way to the mall.

What can I say, I’m from Victoria but have lived in San Antonio ten years. My mom still brings me their legendary thumbprints and cakes for my birthday. This year’s cake was just too cute.I grew up on Halepaska’s cakes and still enjoy them so much.

I drove from New Braunfels Texas 2 hours to speak to owner or manager about chocolate thumbprint cookies and I went to car to get my business card and they locked the door behind me how rude andwould not open door as I continued to knock I wanted to buy them in future to give them for free to first responders I did business with the old owners

I wish I could give this place a good review. But the person I dealt with on the phone was unprofessional, rude, and made me not want to come back. I think they over charged me on my birthday cake

The right is what I asked for... minus the gold leaf and sprinkles on the top tier. And the bottom design but in our wedding colors.The left is what we got 🤣 I have to admit the cake tasted great! But it was ugly.I was told they could do the design... but I did not get what I paid for!! If they couldnt achieve the look I wanted they could have just told me so! Im a little embarrassed of what it ended up looking like, to be honest. But the cake was delivered on time and was very tasty. Overall, I dont reccomend if your wedding design is complicated like this one. LUV Halapaskas best cakes... Dont like they closed the Red River bakery down.

All around Halepaskas is good. They have good food and cookies. When it comes to cupcakes and cakes is were it becomes hit and miss. I had cupcakes that were dry and kind of hard for my daughters birthday. Then I got a good cake for my birthday a few months later. Staff is very friendly. Over all I will go back because of the Buffalo Chip cookies are my absolute favorite.

Amazing lunch! Had Broccoli Soup & Turkey Breast Sandwich on Jalapeno Bun. Bought some of the sweets to take home. Staff was very pleasant & helpful! Cute items for purchase also. Found this for my daughter.

I just love this place & so does my family. We live in Corpus & come all the way over here for a family favorite cake. Just so yummy, great prices, & great service.

Stood in their lobby for five minutes. There were four people behind the counter and we were the only people standing there. No one ever said hello or be with you in just a second. Nothing was said to us at all. When someone behind us asked if we could get some help a middle aged woman with glasses on suddenly rudely argued with the man. Called and asked to speak with the manager and turns out the lady in the glasses was the manager. We left because of how rude the lady was and the complete lack of service.

If you are in Victoria, you must go here. Its a bakery, and deli lunch place. They have homemade soup, sandwiches, & salads. They have cookies & every kind if bakery item you can imagine. Family owned & operated, downhome service, & a huge favorite of everyone. When Im in Victoria, I make sure we visit Halepaskas at least once or twice.

They prepared two wonderful wedding cakes for our wedding. Great taste and beautiful designs. Would give them perfect but they missed to follow some design instructions that would have made it perfect which upset my wife very much. I cant dock them too much though for an honest mistake.

I’m Kat, and this place is great!!! I LOVE the red velvet cooks. I got many 12, I ate one and then the next day they where gone. Sadly my family and I didn’t get more. 1 thing I don’t like is that we go Brownes that had nut:( YUCK. But it a family place and it’s REALLY old the people who own it, I think their grand parents started it so, PLEASE STAY OPEN!!!!

Okay, so I kinda love this place. The name, the history the sweets! During this visit, it was packed and the service was still great. Half way through this review I was trying to find a reason why I had only given 4 stars. Obviously, I couldnt find a reason.

Halepaskas Bakery is one of the best bakeries in Texas! You cannot go wrong with any pastry that you buy from here! The ham and Swiss rolls from here are amazing, but arrive early, because they usually sell out before 9!

This place is AMAZING! Its like going into WANKA bakery, if he had one. You can come in and sit down with pastries, breakfast sandwiches or get cake or pie. They have fountain drinks. If you need party stuff, they have things like gift bags and candles, party plates or party favor bags. This place is a one stop shop.

Yum! Lots to choose from here. I especially like the cakes they have on display when you first enter the establishment. You can order and go from the counter or sit down and enjoy a meal.

There are so many delicious sweets here. And the prices are very reasonable. And the food choices are great as well, i had the frito pie.

My experience at this location was not what I expected. Was not greeted when walked in.was waiting to be helped but no one offered till other customers entered and they jumped to help them.i spoke up and stated I was here before those people. Also asked for a white cake pineapple filling she showed me which ones they were. Got home cut the cake and it was strawberry.smh😕😕😕

The sweets here are amazing... But they quit serving food at 2:30. It was a huge inconvenience because I traveled 1.5 hours to have a special lunch with my mom and sister. Any how the service wasnt as good as it could be. They did their job 100% but I dont recall seeing a smile. Perhaps something happened in their lives prior to our arrival.

They made my wedding cake and it was nearly perfect, beautiful icing and homemade taste, they even adapted a family tres leches recipe for the grooms cake. However, I had given them a special bride and groom figure for the cake that matched the theme (Mario and Peach from Nintendo) and due to a miscommunication among staff, the figures were not used and the cake theme did not make sense without them. I was upset this simple item was overlooked. Very pricey for the cake theme to be messed up.

Yay! I love Halepaskas. First of all it has history, second of all it has delicious baked goods. Also croissant sandwiches during their lunch hours. Third of all the ladies at the counter are very friendly and will let you sample anything. And by sample I mean that they will give you free cookies like tomorrows Christmas and you have a big sack of presents and arrived to Victoria via reindeer. If you happen to be nearby, check em out.

Hallepaskas has some if the best original desserts and loaches. Jalapeno sausage are my favorite. Great hot meals: beans & cornbread and hot soups.

My daughters birthday cake i recieved was messed up with. Huge line Across the bottom very noticeable and the image was left tiny when i was told they could supposedly make it larger to fit the scan on the cake very imbarassing for her at her party but i will be going back because i love this place guess it just depends who makes the cakes
