The sales staff here are very helpful and upbeat. Two salesmen, George and Ben, offered to help at various times. When I ultimately was ready to be helped with some Barbary clothing, George happened to be busy helping another customer. Fortunately, Ben was available to help answer a few questions and ring up my purchase. It’s great to feel appreciated as a customer here!

Where is is hard to find a salesperson in most retail stores, there is always someone to help you at this store location. Very friendly and competent service and the clothing is of very good quality. I love their outerwear.

I can’t believe Orvis does not do any type of military discount on fishing gear and dog stuff. I can go to TCO fly shop and get this same orvis pro fishing vest for 149.00. Orvis stores wants that top dollar even in this plandemic. They said they not match that price. Good luck with your business

Its a Great place to Shop for Fly Fishing Gear and apparel. Ryan helped me out today with picking out some great fly tying material and suggested a couple things I never thought of with different tricks and tips Ive never used before. He offered to come take one of his fly tying classes to get a better understanding of maybe some helpful stuff I might be missing in my experience. I could see why this class would be helpful especially just a couple tricks he showed me in the store from his years of experience tying. They were all nice and I appreciate the depth of knowledge shown by everyone at the store. I really appreciate the help. I highly recommend the free half day class on fly fishing. The instructor went over casting and the basic equipment and flies. Went with my son. We loved it and are now avid fly fishermen! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

Im a big Orvis fan mainly because of their fly fishing expertise and gear selection. Most of my experience with them has been on-line. But I stopped in to this store to upgrade my fly rod and was very disappointed in the knowledge and attitude of the employees. One employee had no clue about the features/benefits of the variety of rods Orvis sells. But the deal-breaker for me was the attitude of an employee I assume was the manager. I was holding many different rods there to feel for weight/handling, and was abruptly told by an employee to put those down because they were limited editions. Then dont leave them out on an open rack for people to touch. I also was looking at a reel and was told to back away from it because it was a very expensive reel. Ive been loyal to Orvis since I learned how to fly-fish. I even have an Orvis fly fishing combo wrapped under the tree for my son who is new to fly fishing, but this type of treatment seriously makes me think about spending my money somewhere else.

Best fly fishing and outdoor store in the area. The employees know what they are doing and can get you started fly fishing. The free classes are great for beginners and their brand is the best on the market.

Quality mens clothing for casual / life events. Sales are where the best savings can be had.

Friendly and helpful staff. They also have a small section for dog merchandise. The best part of all about the store is that they allow dogs!

Over-priced fly fishing gear, over-priced clothing, over-priced flys, but good quality gear. The staff has been hot or miss- sometimes bend over backwards helpful, other times bend you over to help themselves. Overall, good place if youre not on a budget. I am on a budget so not so great for me.

Their stuff is not cheap. But it is priced consistent with the quality of their merchandise, so it represents a good value to me. Staff is always helpful. They assist me when Im looking for help, and leave me alone when I want space. What other way would you have it? Have been there dozens of times in the last 15 years. Always had a good experience.

Exceedingly good customer service, they even called another orvis store manager when the staff wasn’t sure how to best help me pick out the proper flies that I needed for what I was targeting.

I shop often. I have never had a bad experience, especially with the fishing staff. Excellent assistance in selecting waders or flies, even when I am only buying 5 or 6 flies. Sounds to me that a couple of previous raters had a tude when they walked in.

I dont know what everyone above it talking about. I have been going to Orvis Tysons over 20 years since their old location. I go back because the service is so great, friendly and they stand behind their products. Orvis is more expensive but I feel its worth it for the better quality and service.

Went to a fly tying class on the weekend. It was an excellent class with knowledgable staff / instructors. Very fun class and learned the basics of fly tying. Purchased a tying kit after the class and now I have a new hobby when not fishing.

I believe this is the largest Orvis store in the Nation. Great selection and very helpful staff.
