They seriously have the best employees working here! I was having a personal issue and 2 employees went out of their way to help me. I couldn’t be more appreciative. The store is always clean and efficient too!
We love this store! Weve been getting our groceries here for about 8 years now, This is the best halal meat in the suburbs! They are so busy with orders they have 3 butchers. Abu Bakr is our trusted butcher and he knows exactly how to cut the meat for any desi dish youre making! There is no smell of meat ever in the store which shows they keep it very nest, clean and tidy. All the meat is top quality and trimmed nicely. The store is fully stocked all the time, very well organized and they have everything you need from 100s of raw spices including rare finds like javitri and Pipli (good quality), boxed spices, at least 40 brands of rice, atta and maida flours and even a isle for home goods like pots, pans, dishes, tawa flat pans, beauty products and soaps, all kinds of drinks, various flavors of sharbats like roofza etc.. They stock all your needs and you wont need to go anywhere else! Great sale prices on different items too. They are very friendly and are happy to help you.
100 dollar worth of meatActually Rotten meatI ordered meat from them and my husband picked it the next day. The meat WAS NOT frozen as it should have been the next day it was picked up. The next day I dug out the meat my husband kept in the freezer to cook and this is what I saw. I called them reported what was given to me and they said theyll call me. No one called. I called again to speak to the manager or owner they said theyll call me again nobody called back. My husband took it back to their shop since its rotten. It was more than a 100 dollar worth of meat and they refused to refund us. Yes, they refused to refund even after being so irresponsible, I couldve gotten this matter really far and made a huge deal about it But I dont have time for this. Theyre poor in customer service. This was not the first Time I ordered. I used to like this place until this incident. 0 stars.
This story is amazing for all indo-pak park groceries and halal meat. The price of meat is very less compared to the nearby stores well maintained store.
Meat is not good A lot of items in here are expired. I picked soya which expired 2 years ago and owner came back with new batch which also expired.
The selection of international grocery available here is unbelievable. There are many options of teas and masalas. The meat section is very friendly and helpful! I will definitely be coming back!
One of the worst butcher they have working their. It was my first and last time going there unless they change they change the butcher. Owner was nice.
Very pleased with my trip to Iqra Grocery ...Ive never really shopped there. Only ran in for water once ..went today and took my time, shopped ..I got meat ...I will definitely go back and shop ...th people were helpful and courteous...

Very friendly and helpful staff. They have a huge variety of IndoPak groceries. Everything is clean and organized. Definitely visit it!
Nice range of Indian and Pakistani products, staff were helpful and good.
I had a terrible experience today when I went there to purchase something at around 1:15 pm.The gentleman on cash registers, a guy wearing glasses and having beard (in his 40’s) had no mask on his face. When I approached the cash register he was busy with his cell phone with no mask on his face. He continued using his cell phone for about a minute ignoring me completely, and then casually and very reluctantly looking at me asked me “if I am ready”.. I told him that I have been ready but probably you are not.He then asked me to pay cash rather through credit card, which I complied. Before leaving the counter, I politely asked him why he is not wearing any mask... although the door has a notice that no one is allowed without mask.Gentleman first took me very casual and did not reply to my question rather gave me an unpleasant gesture. I then repeated my question and insisted why he has no mask.which could be devastating for others. He instead of be being apologetic replied that he just took it off however there was no face mask around him. When I mentioned this he took another stance and said I took it off because I am going to offer prayers. I politely explained that during my previous visits also he was never wearing any mask.He was so shameless that instead of being apologetic started arguing with me when I made him realize that he is irresponsible as well as unprofessional. Instead he blamed me of showing anger because I had a fight with someone before coming to the store. On my previous visits also I have found him extremely rude and busy on cell phone and making me wait at the cash register.I ignored it few times but seems like there is pattern of unfriendly behavior on his part....I request owners to take a note of this non professional behavior causing bad reputation to the store.
Im a regular customer here. The store is huge and has everything I need in one spot. And the brother who works the register (I dont know his name) is very nice and always cheerful when I come. Highly recommend
Fantastic selection of Indian food and friendly customer service. Ive looked for a good Indian grocery for ages and finally found it. From bulk items to tasty Indian snacks, this is the best place in the West suburbs that I know of. And right next door is an excellent sweet shop and restaurant. Highly recommended.
The meat looks good doesnt look old nice and cool inside, clean and have exceptional customer service
Nice qurbani
I found Iqra Grocery last week as I was preparing for a holiday party. The store is a hidden gem, with friendly staff and a variety of Indian and Pakistani groceries. I picked up a couple boxes of Samosas to use as appetizers and they were delicious, a big hit! I will be coming back to try more soon!
Good variety of Desi grocery avg prices, goat meat fresh and well cut so far so good. Service can be improved.
Great variety of multicultural food, great customer service. Mohammed, who was working there today was kind enough to bring my groceries to the car so that my toddler daughter and I didnt have to walk with all our bags to the car in this snowy weather. Highly recommended!
Worse customer service. I will drive an extra couple of miles to go to Al Baladi Fresh Market instead, that is also in Villa Park.
Best IndoPak store in the area! I have been going over one year. Great selection of Indian and Pakistani grocery. Lots of variety in every item. Store is clean and organized. Staff is friendly and helpful. Meat is always fresh and delivered weekly, I go every Thursday or Friday.
All Indian and pakistani spices are available. It is pretty cheap as well.
Very nice store! Meat section is open concept so you can pick your cuts and watch the butchers cut and pack it in front of you. The plaza also has a Pakistani restaurant and Pakistani sweets shop. I will definitely be coming back!
Awesome grocery store! Great meat quality, super fresh! The best thing about this place is that it’s super clean, smells good, and it’s open concept so all the work happens right in front you. The people there are very helpful and knowledgeable, so if you don’t know how much fat content to keep on, they can help you figure it out. I tried a lot of other meat shops before I found Iqra and hands down, they are the best.
I think this is the largest desi grocery/halal meat store in this area. Huge collection of Indo-Pak grocery items. The meat section is also very good. Plus they have a very good collection of Islamic wall art and other collectibles. I am impressed with this store.
One of the best grocery stores for Pakistani groceries
This store has excellent friendly customer service. I find most of the things that I need at this store. Meat deli and etc.. I highly recommend this store.
Mubeen is great owner he treat everyone respectfully
Big store with a lot of things. Even Halal meat.
Always great customer service! The prices are kept low. Highly recommend
Iqra Grocery is the ONLY store where I buy my zabiha halal meat! The prices are affordable and the meat quality is great every time! They are double certified zabiha halal and help you determine which meats/cuts to get. You are always in good hands here. The employees are helpful and polite. I always get the chicken here because it is all natural and hormone free. They have everything you will ever need for Pakistani, Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, and Indian cuisine. The inside of the store is very big for an ethnic store and kept clean and organized. They are currently remodeling the outside of the store, but are still open. Make sure to check their Facebook for good deals and sales ads!
I went here on Saturday 7/20/2019. The front register person was really nice, thats why they got 2 stars. However I am extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with the Meat we got and especially the Frozen K&S Chicken Patties, Nuggets, and Colonel Kabobs Chicken Wings. The meat was all Fat and barely any meat, we got the Veal, the Boneless Chicken Breast was tasteless, I have yet to try the whole chicken pieces. Now with the Frozen products, please be advised and do not get anything Frozen from here. The K&S Products were all Rotten when we opened the box, there was a bad smell and when cooked the color of the Chicken looked like it was Spolied and I had to throw away the cooked items. Today 7/25, I opened the Colonel Kabobs Tandoori Chicken Wings were all Spolied and had a bad smell to them. I have been calling the store for the last week, and no one ever answers the phone. I spent over $25 on the Frozen Products and now I want my refund for them and will have to make another trip here hoping they will be nice and refund me. Do not get your Meat and Frozen Grocery from here, its a huge RIP Off and an Extreme Health Hazard. If I dont get my money back, I will make sure to report this to the BBB and have them get Inspected for the Quality of Meat and Frozen Items they are selling. Thank God I did not eat anything, or else I would have had ended up in the Hospital with God knows what.
Like many of the reviewers mentioned, this place has a TON of expired items on their shelves and coolers. I only go here for their meat and even that has a bad odor and appearance at times. I bought chicken legs from here that had a real stale look and an extremely pungent odor when I opened it at home. I took it back and they replaced it after examining it. Be very cautious if you decide to shop here and check expiration dates on everything, even if youre going in just to buy a can of soda.
Quick meat butchers, great prices, and lots of variety in top brands and Hyderabadi Indian grocery items! I will definitely be coming back!
Good for meat and poultry. Best quality meat when compared to other stores in the area. Prices for other stuff like, dals, teas, are much cheaper then other stores but quality is not as good, alot of times products are expired.
Iqra Grocery is a very nice Indo-Pak store with lots of grocery items. They have a huge masala wall of all kinds of masalas for Indian, Pakistani, South Indian, Chinese, and Arabic dishes and desserts! Great customer service and quick check-out.
My go-to Pakistani grocery store! Huge selection, great quality, good service, best zabiha halal meat!
