Great meat at fair prices

A must stop place for groceries when Im in Vincennes, even though its an hour from me. Always clean, brightly lit, well stocked. Friendly, helpful staff. The meat department is OUSTANDING! I bought a package of rib eye steaks that were so good, I actually went back the next day ( I was in town both days for doctors appointments) and bought more meat. Excellent stop to save $$$ on groceries!

Havent been for a while and they no longer have boxes for your groceries. I like it! They have cleaned up their act a lot. Meats look real good and over all the prices kick the others in a good way. Spent $75 but figure I saved at least $25 today.

Omg, I love this place! Everything is priced so sensibly I dont know how they make any money! And the meat! They honestly have the freshest locally sourced meat of any store in town. The staff is so friendly, if I didnt work I would hang out there all day!

Good friendly service. Employees are always helpful with finding items if having trouble locating something. Merchandise is reasonably priced & aisles arent cluttered. The store is clean too.

A solid low cash grocery store with a meat department better than you might expect. They have brands that are not carried by all major stores. Most of the products are decent. Some of the products are regular name brands. Its just cheaper. I buy certain things in certain places. Sometimes I can get a pork loin or a shoulder cheap. Chicken there is always cheaper. I check the advertising. I shop according.

Love shopping for fresh meat at Sav-A-Lot! Great place to shop that I choose to drive to Vincennes to get their meat deals! Wish they would come back to Evansville but I will drive for the outstanding meat deals!

Very nice store, some brand names.Produce I find is not as good in some areas.They do have good fresh meats cut right there in the store and good prices...Theres a lot of SaveaLot brand foods and misc., and a lot of generic sodas, chips, candy at low bargains.No carry out service and bag your own purchases...which I prefer to do myself.

Needs to put low carb foods like healthy choice foods there we have to go to Walmart to get healthy food the people there are great and the place is always clean

Recommend this for the shoppers on a tight budget. Their brands are comparable to the Kroger, Walmart and J C Stores brands. Wide variety of canned food, small but fresh produce section. Cheap prices on boxed side dishes, they have a Spanish section that offers a variety of choices, cheapest prices for shredded cheeses, good selection of frozen foods, and a small but fresh selection of meats. Sometimes they have unadvertised specials on meats. During the day a meat cutter is available to slice pork loin, and other big packages of fresh meats. You bag your own groceries.

I was so impressed with this Sav-A-Lots produce when I visited it for the 1st time & I want 2 go back during this month or 2 for they have locally grown vegetables & fruits. If you know the Vincennes area then you know that they have a vast amount of farmers who have large watermelon fields & cantaloupe & sweet corn, Green Beans & so on. The prices were so affordable for someone like myself who is on a fixed income & I usually have 2 skip buying fresh produce for the prices are way to high for me. The store was exceptionally clean & organized. it was a nice surprise.

Unfortunately, my favorite employee has left, but theyre really sweet. The manager is often seen on the floor ready to help. Prices cannot be beat!

Staff at store needs a good pep talk on Customer Service as in saying a simple HELLO! to everyone and a Thank You! would be nice also, its VERY simple, instead of just laying your receipt down on the board and your change.Prices are good, some good deals, not a big selection, just the basics...but that older overly baked tan lady scares children and adults, she always looks Constitpated and like she wants to murder someone. Very VERY unfriendly. Put her in the back if she cant smile or be polite, she stares at people coming in and going.

Produce is almost always yuck and way over priced. But workers are very helpful and nice! Walmart believe it or not is sometimes cheaper....
