Hands down the best place to get fishing tackle! Went there to get my 8 yr son a new rod & reel, the customer service was excellent. Very helpful workers thank you so much. My son is very happy with his new gear.

The only shop around in NJ that has quality fishing tackle. Lots of jdm and high end stuff along with the other normal tackle, but its actually stocked by people who know about fishing. Prices are competitive to online stores from what Ive seen and the customer service is top notch. Ill be a customer for life even though Im an hour drive away

Been dealing with Blackwater for 20+ years love that its family owned and operated there very helpful and knowedgeable in both saltwater and freshwater. have all the supplies needed and live the hours open 7 days a week 8-6 m-f sat 8-7 sun 8-3......

Great place to shop, everyone there is very knowledgeable. The one on one experience makes it easy to learn about what youre after. Never received bad advise from any of their employees.

For $10 a dozen you should at least get a couple big minnows! No such luck add that to the scarcity Of live bait shops! Offered him a tip one time he was taken aback! “ What’s this for” says he! well never again buddy,! I like my minnows at least bigger than a quarter inch! Don’t bother with this place unless your a friend, then I guess you get the large minnows! Everyone else gets the shaft!

Awesome store, came from Philly suburbs, few shops in my area are open on Sundays and Im glad I made trip here. Store owner was very helpful in picking out my first compound bow. They carry top tier brands from experienced to novice shooters.

Just wanted to give this crew a shout out for above and beyond efforts in helping me get my VXR dialed in with broadheads for an upcoming elk hunt. Still not exactly sure why they werent flying right but after 3 hours with 3 of their guys and multiple small adjustments to the bow, arrows, nocks, broadheads Im happy to say that this morning at ranges from 44 to 56 yards at steep uphill, downhill, and sidehill angles, that Im punching circles. Makes me very happy. Cant beat the effort and the commitment behind the products they sell.

This is my local go to place. A little pricier than a chain retailer maybe, but the employees actually are knowledgeable in fishing and hunting. Also, unlike everywhere else in a drivable distance, they actually carry most of my favorite name brand baits! I’ll continue going here as long as they are in buisn for sure.

Drove 25 mins just to get minnows here,the guy was alone and on the phone for @10 mins, never acknowledged me at all, no wave, hello or give me a minute, then was very rude with me. Made me buy a $4 bucket to put 6/8 minnows in, which is unnecessary as I was going home immediately & they were feeder fish! Also I asked specifically for the smallest ones and he gave me the largest ones in the filthiest grossest poop water ever. Nope ! Ended up releasing them in a lake since they were too large for my pet to eat!

First time in yesterday and i gotta say, what a wonderful place! The gentleman there wasnso knowledgable and helpful with all the places to fish around the area.Will be going here for more of my fishing needs!

This place is close to me and I’ve had mixed experiences. I brought a bow in a couple weeks ago to be worked on, guy that helped me was super helpful, work done fast and top quality for a good price. I’ll mention that the bow I brought in was a brand they sell. Came back this week with 2 more bows to be worked on, same guy helped me but had attitude, my guess is because he said he didn’t know anything about the brand of bows I had because they don’t sell them. Ok if you don’t want to work on bows you don’t sell have a sign that says so and I will bring them somewhere else. When i picked them up a different guy ended up working on them who was very pleasant. The charge this time I thought was overpriced for what I got done. Just wanted to put it out there if you’re going to have work done on a bow brand they don’t sell you could have a similar experience. I will go back because I like to support local small shops, but if I have a similar experience as last time I will be going somewhere else for sure.

My first time visiting this store. They have both fresh and saltwater gear and a great assortment. They sell live bait. The sales people were great. They have a parking area out front. A great little tackle shop. I will be back when I need gear.

Thought they saw me coming. Stinking old blood sims. Thats why they brought them out in a paper bag. Wont stand behind the bait they sell. Never again

Places like this are very few and far between these days. Personalized and professional service. The archery department rebuilt my bow after my release failed and dry fired. He repaired put a custom string on and retuned it. Still groups arrows like a rifle. Cannot say enough about the professionalism and fair prices. Wont find that at Cabelas with those snot nosed arrogant know it alls. 6 stars 🌟

These men follow you around the store & watch your every move you make like your going to steal something. I would understand if we looked suspicious but we did not. My fiancé & I went in the store together & all eyes were on us. He ending up purchasing something because he needed it but never again will we shop here. The Asian guy didnt even know what he was talking about & was useless.

So far so good. Dropped off an old bow to have it inspected and I feel like they really know there stuff. Im excited to get it back all tuned up with a new string.

Blackwater is a great, little sports shop with very knowledgeable and personable staff. A bit pricey for many items, but always with with great quality products. Their live baits are much livelier than anywhere else I have been, and their selection is much wider than even most of the major retailers.

Just bought a mathews vertix yesterday and what a great experience from setting my bow up to the down to earth guys there they know there stuff here great shop awesome people

A great little hunting supply store. They have at least a half isle of just about anything you may be into. I went for the archery section and found the prices to be competitive and the staff very helpful and knowledgeable. They are also one of the only Matthews and Hoyt trained techs in the area.

They had bait!

Its been a long time since I had visited Blackwater and now regret why I havent. Purchased a new Matthews bow and could not have been more satisfied with the service. Really took the time to set up my bow the right way (and checked with me throughout the process- didnt step in the back and come out and hand me the bow like I have had done in the past.) I had forgotten about the 3% sales tax in Vineland...that helped. The prices were very reasonable regarding the products I looked at.I could go on, but hopefully you get the point...Great place...worth visiting
